Dear Anita, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. We will first begin by looking at the `history' of Feng Shui in China. In the past, Chinese were mostly into agricuture (farmers ) and live-stock rearing. What this means is that food was obtain from the land. Eaten, and left overs were `re-cycled' e.g. as some of them they rear pigs, these "garbage" were given to the pigs to be eaten. Manure or other `solid' wastes were used to fertilise the land. From the above, you will notice that they (ancient Chinese) do not have what we have now... " garbage " in the form of non-biodegradable products etc..... Overall, Feng Shui is used to assess: in the above case of a hom…

Mine is from the front door leading down, to a turn of the staircase. I live on the top floor of a three floor apartment. But it is pretty bright. (even at night). No too narrow, enough for two adults.

These are some considerations: 1. The famous saying Rome is not built in a day. 1.1 Neither can an ANSWER can be immediately given to someone who says "Any remedy for this?" 2.Please note that there are so many concepts and principles. Furthermore, the following are cruicial: STEP 1: Feng Shui Triage Proper trouble-shooting is required. OTHERS: Fix-the-Leak, First! Easily three or more major problems. The Concept of Maximizing Marks Hopefully from a FAIL to a PASS or better! The Customer Engineer Concept If you D.I.Y. make sure you read this!

Dear Romila, There is no easy way to improve relationships, especially for office or in large organisations. This is because, often you do not have the luxuary to be able to have your own personliased space where you can plan where you can sit / face / colour for your area. Often, area is given to you. So you just have to make do with what you can correct and try to be more tolerant to avoid conflicts. In terms of Feng Shui:- 1. Just use the compatibility report in our members area. URL: http://login.geomancy.net Find out what element do you each belong to and what element is common to both persons. Have more of such elements such as the colour for the common areas …

Hi, Please read below:- Again, this is a Chinese religious belief. For the Chinese, there are many "gods" or more appropriate "deities or fairies". You see in the Chinese due to many novels etc, Chinese believe in the various deities or fairies are originally some person who in his life time done something significantly great, thus, in future generations the Chinese began to worship them as a sort of symbol. Kitchen god is one of them. However, I have not really tell you that story, as I have not read on it, maybe you can look it up in the library. But in terms of Feng Shui, the kitchen is often regarded as an important place also, due to the fact that it represents …

Dear Hoa Luong, Please refer to my earlier forum message which I clearly stated that a WS#9 is not the same as WS#8. In many of the forum messages a WS#8 = current prosperity and water should be activated here. Please check my previous message where I mentioned that WS#9 is best associated with Wood element. Thus it would be reasonable to place a plant at that sector to enhance the future prosperity. As to whether the plant is medium sized or large it has to go with the location where one wants to place it. And it is for your own judgement to do so. If the location can support a large tree and looks reasonable then go ahead. But if as a result of the big tree, for ex…

Since there are so many windows in this "area " of the home. Looks like this could be a possible candidate as the "frontage of this home".

Dear Master Cecil I've attached more photos for your reference (Shapes & Forms - more photos.jpg) If we view from inside the frontal locationarea towards its facing direction, it has a beautiful scenic view of the mountains in front (pls refer to View from inside Front Porch.jpg). I suppose these are very negative aspects in terms of Shapes & Forms found in these photos?? (1) Even though the house is on higher ground, it'ssitting by the side along a sloping road (a 2-way road), one going up slope, the other down slope. (2) There's an open drainage that runs outside the frontalwall as shown in the photo. (3) There's also a small drainage in the front compound that…

Dear Judy, Thanks for the picture of the layout plan. 1. Yes, you can use an ordinary compass. 2. In the past, I had investigated many years back the `long houses' especially in parts of East Malaysia. These long houses, even when they were made of wood had unusual compass readings where the readings internally vary in different compartments. 3. I hope you don't mind if you can: 3.1 Go to a barren land or an open space near to your home. And take a compass reading perhaps from different areas. (Becareful of some open space as it may be littered with (hidden) such as thrown away metal etc... 3.2 Goto the different "compartment" and take the compass reading to check if the…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Since both persons are East group persons than technically; if you do have a stove; the stove can be sitting e.g. NW facing South East. Same goes for the oven. 2. Reference: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Kitchen_Stove_%26_More 3. You should also do a Search on the TOP left frame of this forum for "Fire at Heaven's Gate" to find out more about a kitchen located in the North West of the home.

Dear Glyn, Either the chimney be left alone or at the most cover the top and the ground level. Avoid filling the chimney fully as this will involving adding more `earth' element in the house i.e. if you are using earth element e.g. sand etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee P.S. Congratulations Glyn! I believe, you are the first to incorporate Chinese Numerlogy as an additional tool combined with other tools such as Earth Luck: Feng Shui, Heaven Luck: Pillars of Destiny. Furthermore, you had `predicted' in two instances using Chinese Numerology very accurately:)) -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wedn…

Hello, I was reading this helpful article. Actually this question is more important and not as simple as it seems. For instance, my neighbor's house, which is located in the East from mine, just started doing big renovation on her property. So while I was careful not to do renovations on mine, because the 3 killings in East during most of 2009, somebody located on my East direction did. Will this affect me as well, since her property is only about 20 feet from mine? Or just affect her, since it is her house and her doing the renovation? And if we are affected by what others do as well, then what is the best cure for that? Regards Al

Dear Teo Choon Seng, teo choon seng wrote: My house has a missing corner on the north-west sector. Missing corners in a home tend to be inauspicious. There is actually no real cure to correct this flaw as it is based on the external shape of the house. If it is a l…

1. Usually, there are no strict rules about whether you should eat or throw away fruits. 2. When you collect your keys for the first time, the condition of your new home can vary: 2.1. Some homes, like new condos, are generally clean and have finished floors. 2.2. Other homes or apartments may be completely bare, with unfinished cement floors. 3. In situations like 2.2, fruits placed in bare homes may be considered unhygienic to eat by some. 4. However, during the move-in process, the floor is usually finished and kitchen appliances, such as the refrigerator, are turned on. At this point, fruits can be cut and served, or leftovers can be stored in…

Further to what I mentioned earlier, there can also be a 6th category i.e. Type 6 - Houses that no human can live in. Fortunately, this type of house is either rare or has been built badly under shapes and forms. Where, one can still stay in the house but may bring calamity to the owners. General example: frontage facing a hill. Or `chopping' off the head of the house to build a new extension. Or a house where on both sides is surrounded by a house on each side. Here, both breadwinner can `die' in the space of 1 year after they have moved in. Note: this type of house is `rarer'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned, I also checked with some shops and according to the proprietor(s), next year's tong su (Tung Shu) is currently not available yet. The estimated time of arrival in Singapore is next month i.e. in the Chinese 7th month. In my opinion, you should not have a problem getting a copy after 9 August 2002. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, maria cutrona wrote: Thanks For the information! My kua number is 7. Does it make a difference if the lot # is 7? Since this is my address and I am a West person, and my house door will be facing the West. I am now planning to pick out a house plan using the feng shui and the information that is given to me by geomancy. As mentioned, one way to check suitability is whether is is your Kua number. If 7 is also your kua number, then I would say that it is a suitable number. Of course, there can be many other ways to determine auspicious number. I often, find that house number is nice to have a good one, but more importantly is the house that has to be good feng…

Dear Angelia, 1. Frankly, instinctively, we should look at the bedroom layout and always sleep in a "comfortable" natural position. 2. Either sleeping under one of our four best directions AND/or sleeping in a favourable Flying Star sector(s) are both considered NICE-TO-HAVE and not a must have. However, if we do encounter very bad flying star numbers like #5 and or #2 and or with #9, then, these are the worst stars and if so, we should or if could avoid sleeping within these sectors. For other flying star combinations, they are usually of a lower concern. Warmest Regards, Cecil
