Doors
Dear Sue, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 1999 3:42 AM Subject: Main door Normally you should stand in the center of the house out of the main door. However, if you do that sometimes, there is some magnetic field which shifts your compass needle a bit. Which is why, sometimes a reading from the outside is needed to confirm that the compass is not affected by the building structure. However, if you use a shielded compass, then this would not matter. Please check Cecil's compass method. This is quite accurate and easy. This elminates many of the problems of the standing outside. The person's element destroy, will be the wealth element?
Dear Jason, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 1999 11:33 PM Subject: Wealth Elements The element which you destroy is your wealth element. However, although I can generally deduce the element is represented by it, in order to deduce whether it is main wealth or unexpected wealth, you need to refer to the Pillars as a condition is required to deduce it. Water beds
Hi, Frankly so far, I don't think there is anything written in the past (nor the present) on the use of water beds and metal beds. As I mentioned in a few forum messages that the original use of Feng Shui caters more towards Feng Shui Masters locating a site for a city e.g. Canton or many other Chinese Cities. Following this, their concern is with a site within a city and perhaps an overall location of a village. The closes to the bed is the use of the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui and the use of Compass School techniques such as the Eight House and the Flying Star. What does all this mean? Feng Shui is all about trying to enhance beneifical qi or to neutralise Sha Qi. It is anyone's guess at this moment how beneficial water beds or metal beds are. The simple argument is that as these objects were not invented in the past, there are no comments arising from the `dead' Feng Shui Masters. Perhaps, you may want to ask some Maverick Feng Shui wanabe to create some marketing out of it and call these Feng Shui friendly furniture. In my opinion, many Feng Shui practioners in this century will want to sell you anything. Why not? They earn big bucks out of it. So can we rely on the words from these Feng Shui authors or practioners whose purpose, I believe is to sell these items? Lets look more on the practical side of Feng Shui based on Shapes and Form:- 1. Best that the bed is not circular in shape. 2. Use a King sized or Queen sized bed rather than two pieces joined together for a couple. Other than this, " it is free for all " at the moment to `dream' of a new Feng Shui Principle based on metal/wood/water beds? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Cross symbol
Hi, Under the shapes and form school, the main concern is to "protect" your main entrance door and especially and windows along this frontage. Therefore, for the main door, one test is to stand at the main entrance door and look out. If the cross is on the same level or directly cutting the main entrance door, this is considered a sha qi or poison. Normally, the cross should be higher level, and it would usually affect your house if it is more then one storey high. And for such cases, the most easiest cases is to use a set of blinds or thicker curtains. This is based on the principle that if you cannot see the sha it is no longer a threat. Usually, the most common threat is a lamp post. Here as the lamp post is considered by many Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners consider this as a fire element threat. This is why many Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners ask their clients to place a Fish Tank in the room that overlooks this threat. As you are aware, water in general destroys Fire. So this indirectly counteract the sha qi. Actually, there is another third element in the water which is the fish to counteract, the wood element as the lamp post is complex. The Lamp post is tall and thin, and some Feng Shui Masters instead consider it as a wood element. What can we learn from above? You will notice that some Feng Shui professionals use fish tank sparingly and not simply place a fish tank for the sake of earning extra money. Another point you need to know here is that, usually under feng shui, fish tanks are used mostly by traditional feng shui practitioners as cures rather than enhancers. Contrast this with a fountain and a waterfall as they are fast moving and are considered more as enhancers. There are Feng Shui practitioners who question the use of placing a fish tank for two reasons. 1. What happens if the fishes die? 2. By pouring away water from the fish tank when cleaning the fish tank, it is symbolic of pouring away wealth (water). However, generally water is considered as wealth, but under different circumstances, water is not necessary a person's wealth. For example, a Earth element person's wealth is water, but this is not true for others. Also, in I-Ching Water symbolises difficulties. Therefore, if it is at the wrong location of the house, again just like wind chime, it would do more harm then good. You should also be aware that too much water is considered too yin, and too much yin is the house is inauspicious as yin normally represents weak and sickness. For example, houses with blue roofs is never recommended, because it is like water on top of you, which means you face lots of problems. Hopes this helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Music and fengshui
Hi, Please read below:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/music.htm However, I personally feel that certain music are soothing to a person, and this does help a person relax. In Singapore, for example, in certain Chinese bookstore, eg. The Commercial Press located at Victoria Street, have a small collection of music which was packaged for Feng Shui and Yin / Yang Music. Some of these are quite interesting. There is one for relief of constipation, headache, overweight, stress etc. For those who are in Singapore, you can find such music available in stores, even in Popular Bookstore at Bras Basah Rd. Lucky frog
Hi, Please read below:- Usually it is a 3-legged frog with a coin in its mouth. As Cecil has mentioned, Feng Shui is not about religion or statues worship. Many Feng Shui or Feng Shui related shops are marketing oriented and sell a wide variety of products which claims that by buying the product and placing it in your home, it brings you luck. Therefore, it is not part feng shui. If you want to place it, I guess it best displayed in your living room and based more on your instincts. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Baby boy or baby girl
HI, Please read below:- I think that is more of a superstition than Feng Shui. Personally, I do not think there is anything about traditional Feng Shui about this. If anyone have any other opinion on this, feel free to share it.

Luk Fak Sau
Please read below:- Luk Fak Sau, or in romanized and more commonly called "Fu Lu Shou". Fu - Prosperity Lu - Luck Shuo - Longevity It is supposed to bring you prosperity, luck and longevity. Normally, it normally good to display in the living room or any auspicious sector (not in the bedrooms) in hope to bring in more good luck and fortune for the family. However, it is more of a Chinese symbol of good luck rather than Feng Shui. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

wealth
Hi, Please read below:- I believe you can see our stand in such matters. There is no such general tips that actually helps to enhance a person. The only true and effective way is to enhance one's self. Say for a weak water, wood is good and fire is a person's wealth. If you want to enhance wealth, you need to be with more of your wealth elements. If you want to enhance your weak self, say if you are frequently sick, then a good way is to enhance your water with wood. These information are normally found when you do a full pillars. And basing of the many information found in the report. It depends on what you want to enhance, then make provision by being with these elements. This is the only true way to improving your luck, wealth etc. There is no such quick solution by putting some item in a wealth corner designated by say East. These are never true. If you ask any of the many users who have tried these general tips out, you will find a common responds: " I have tried the many tips and suggestions found in many books, website etc, but they do not seem to work! " The simple reason is because they are not personalised to you. How can you expect putting a candle/rose in the SW corner for the Relationship or Romance corner and expect your romance to be improved? All these also depends on a person's efforts, Feng Shui often helps indirectly, seldom directly. But only when you can balance your elements or activate your personal deities. This is why, we often stress that many times general tips:- 1. DO NOT personalise to a person. 2. ARE STATIC models. 3. ARE INCOMPLETE solutions which haven't taken in to account many areas. 4. ARE FAST FOOD FENG SHUI. If done wrongly, many cause more problems to you than not doing anything about it. So we like to advise users to be very careful when you want to take up these general Tips! Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Black and blue color
Hi, Please read below:- You can hang anything you want. The only thing is when you want to be concerned with Feng Shui, then you would want to hang items which are good for you rather then bad for you. Say if you a a weak wood, then hanging water type objects is beneficial for you because it is your favourable elements that help you grow. Say if you are Earth person, then hanging water type objects represents your Wealth as Earth destroy Wealth. However, please note that you should be a strong Earth to have full benefit of this because, when your earth is used to destroy water element, it gets weaken also. So it all depends. Nothing in the world is all bad. It is bad to certain people, but good for others. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Business logo
Hi, Please read below:- Actually, all shapes are good shapes, it depends more on who the logo is designed for. Say for a company the element of the person running the company is water, then their wealth is fire, thus sharp shaped objects such as triangle is good shape for it. So for business logo, it is a little different. Often it has to be especially designed to cater to the competitors etc. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Tiolets
Hi, Please read below:- Actually, if you look at it realistically. Why do you ever want to put a painting or candles in the bathroom? I mean won't the steam from hot/warm water, damage it or put our the candles? So far from what I know of this, I don't find anything wrong with having shower curtains. I don't think that belongs to any Feng Shui related issues. The rational behind it is that if you notice that flying star always changes, and it is definitely possible for the bad stars to fall in any one of the true sectors (eg 0 degree, 45 degree etc). So when this happens the good chi which say happens to be southwest this year would go down the drain? So, because of this rational, it is termed that the toilet should best be avoided in any of the true directions. However, if you look at in another way, if the bad stars fall in a toilet, it can be flushed down the toilet bowl so it is not that bad as well. What you have mentioned relates to the static marriage sector. Not sure which you are referring to but I am guessing it is the static Eight Association. If it is, I think you can safely ignore it, because it does not really matter or is considered minor problem. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Ox, Monkey and Dragon
Dear Ber, Please read below:- Thank you for your encouragement. Don't need to resent this mail. We have not forgotten it. It is just that we answer mails not based on the time it was sent but rather the content of the mails. If you really want to you may want to do a numerology for the date of birth, that should also give you some lucky numbers. You can download the Free Feng Shui Software from the website, there is a numerology software which analyses the natal number for you. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/software/index.htm Just remember to key in the Lunar Birth Date rather then the Solar Birth Date, as I have no time to put in the conversion module yet. For the colour, please use the Five Element Cure modules to determine the suitable element. The matching Pillars unfortunately is not so simple, even if you can find another person which is belonging to your favaourable element, it does not mean that the pillar is compatible. However, generally, a quick guide that you can follow is that if another person you are comparing with is your favourable element, it is likely that you would be comfortable together. URL: http://www.lovesigns.net In order to relate them to feng shui, you should convert the animal signs to five element concepts, then you can relate the type of elements and how to improve them. However, I must also caution you regarding relationship, there is not easy way for making relationship ok, it takes some personal effort of the individual, plus maybe a little help from favourable elements which helps bind the elements together to reduce the conflict. One easy was to check it out, is that I have created a Pillars comparision module which is able to deduce the relationship. Just login to your account to generate a report for that. Doors
Hi, Please read below:- This is because the main door of the office or the house is considered as the the heart of the house. It is where you get in and out of the house, so the qi which we are considered is very important to be associated with the main door. If bad qi (sha qi) is present in that sector, it means that sha qi would be circulating in the house, otherwise if good qi is present, the house will have good qi present. This is the reason why the main door has to be good:) So, this is already a lot of time that you are located in that room. So if you stay in a room with lots of sha qi, it is likely that you will meet with misfortune. Thus, it is very important, after the main door to have a good room. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

What kind of wind chimes are good?
Hi, Please read below:- For example of the material of the wind chime is metal, and there is 5 rods, this means that the wind chime is a earth-metal wind chime. Generally, 2,3,4,5 are associated very closely with the inauspicious stars, and if you hang this in location which has a star 2,3,4,5 you are likely to trigger the influence of these stars thus causing bad influences. It is not so much that solid wind chime or even that say star 5 wind chime is not useful. You have to be careful as to where you are putting it. If place correctly, the element influence which you are looking for will remove the inauspicious influence based on the element composition of the wind chime. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

2 yellow in 1999 is this bad?
Hi, Please read below:- Our advice to all users is to be careful of such general tips. Although the theory used to derive this is based on Flying Star for 1999. However, without flying star of the birth chart of the house, this is as good as a static cures. As good as the static Eight Association without any personalisation. You would be better off not doing anything. If you take this as correct, this means that everyone should hang a wind chime in the south? What if the stars in that sector of the house actually destroys the inauspicious 5 already? We have seen many times when users unknowingly put wind chimes because of such general tips, they end up with more problems, because 5 wind chimes actually activates the star 5. Furthermore, we often discourage the use of Wind Chimes, Fish Tanks simply because these tools although are powerful, but are often misused or misplaced. Take the Wind Chime for example, the number of rods, the thickness of the rods, the type of element which the rod is made up are very essential components to curing Feng Shui. If you do not know how to use them, you better stay away from it. Anyway, we find that there are other better and safer cures to use that Wind Chimes. Simply the tip is based on the Flying Star that 5 is an inauspicious star that represents sickness/misfortune. However, to generalise that just because 1999 the star 5 is in the South, that you must use this item and that item, is not a good TIP! For Flying Star to work, you need to at least compare with another star such as the base star of your house. Otherwise, it is useless. For Example, this means to say if 2000, the star 5 moves to another location say East, everyone who previously hang a wind chime or an urn of water in the south must move it to the East?? Warmest Regards Robert Lee

form school Vs flying star
Hi, In order for a good audit for accessing an excellent house, the house should not only suit a person, it has to have good stars from the flying star, and a good exterior shape and form. Which in most cases is very difficult, which is why no matter how good a house, there is still bound to be some slightly not so good. There is where you have to apply a little cure or enhancement to remove that influences. The Main door, because your house can face another direction, but your main door is located in another location. Also when you perform an audit based on the house you are performing an audit for the entire building. Especially if this is an apartment or building. The audit is thus for the entire apartment and building. It does not tell you the influences of each apartment in the building if you do it that way. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Good house
Hi, Please read below:- It is not only the years, but the direction of the main door which determines whether a house is good or bad. The Eight House can only be used as a guide and is best to suit the breadwinner of the house. The other alternative is to trust your own personal instinct. Do you often have this kind of feeling that when you enter a certain house, you just do not feel comfortable? That is you own personal instinct. Which in most cases should be pretty ok. As I have always mentioned, the theories can do so far to help, what is more important you like the place, and then after you have selected the place, check it out with the various tools to help to make a decision on whether you want to purchase the house or not. Unfortunately, there is no easy way out. And it is also not easy to get a perfect house unless you are able to build it from scratch. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I-Ching Coins: Can they bring good luck?
Dear Jason, Please read below:- Just the element representation in a shape or colour for personal cures will be sufficient. No the size does not matter, it is the shape and form that is of more importance. Anything represented by the element should be sufficient. Normally for personal cures, colours of clothing is the most appropriate. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I-Ching Coins: Can they bring good luck?
Dear Jason, Please read below:- Personally, I think that you will obtain more luck if you enhance yourself with your favourable elements rather then general items. This is because if you enhance yourself with elements favourable to you, it increases your overall luck and bring your elements in balance. Feng Shui is about balance and harmony. It is not because of certain items that help you. Take the 6 I-Ching coins for example, it is similar to the 6 coins which is advised as cures. So it is Strong Metal in nature. If you are a Strong metal or Strong Water, do you think these coins will help you? It will in fact bring you so out of balance that you may encounter many unforeseen problems. My advice is never take general tips and use them. Proper Feng Shui is complex and there are no real solution to it. The only way you can enjoy good luck or fortune is:- 1. Reduce all bad influence. 2. Enhance all good influence. If you can do that, you can enjoy very favourable good fortune:) However, it is often not easy Hope that helps! Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dragon , snake and dog matching
Dear Ber, Apologise for the previous mail, selected a wrong encoding method. Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Monday, July 05, 1999 10:50 AM Subject: Dragon , snake and dog matching Also, when you talk about year compatibility, it only takes into account the year. In the entire 365 days, a dragon, can have different animal bones, and different elements, so sometimes if you look at it realistically, it does not matter which year you want have a baby. Do what every you feel is correct, trust a little of your own personal instinct. Chinese astrology or predictions can help you make a better judgement, but it all depends on you. Where do I place a Dragon horse and Dragon turtle statues
Hi, Please read below:- Personally, I do not think these items are in any way really any feng shui item, which needs to be concern with placement etc. You should be able to place it anywhere you like to. These are more of chinese art statues or objects so less of Feng Shui. However, if any one has any other view on this, please feel free to comment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
