Advice on Studio Unit
Dear Rose, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, May 12, 1999 2:52 PM Subject: Re: Advice on Studio Unit -Reply No problem, I have posted a reply to you, but as some of your details required Flying Star, I have given you one flying star credit to do a chart for your house. Without it, I am unaware of certain influence which is possibly caused by the Feng Shui of the house. Yes, the toilet is not auspicious to be located at true directions. This normally symbolises wealth going down. Just keep the toilet bowl cover down and close the door when not in use. Not much you can do about that. This is specially true when ever an auspicious star flies into that direction. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Books On Flying Stars Feng Shui
Dear Bill, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'feng-shui-books' suppressed 'feng-shui-books' suppressed> Date: Wednesday, May 12, 1999 4:25 AM Subject: Books On Flying Stars Feng Shui mentioned in her book. Other then that, I think you can also try Raymond Lo's book, but his does not tell you anything about calculation. If you can wait, we are working on the Flying Star course (not sure if a book would be publish from the materials or not) but it will be in English, encompassing many areas of the Flying Star etc. We cannot promise users as to the date of launch. We believe in not rushing to come up with a course or book, but rather making sure that the quality and contents are correct and detailed enough. I believe users who had taken our courses, books, reports and advices know our level of quality and standards:) Every printed materials course or books which Geomancy.Net releases are carefully thought out and compiled with quality information rather then quantity information. We intend to share with users all forms of thoughs available in a particular subject. Just like Flying Star, I believe it would be new to many of the users here if I mentioned that there are:- 1. Lunar version vs Xia version 2. Compass formula vs Calulation method 3. Flying Star for Day, Hour, Minute, Second 4. There are certain times which you cannot open a luo pan or perform Flying Star Calculation otherwise the practitioner will be in trouble? All I can say is that Feng Shui is complex and we intend to let users know about every possible method and information as far as we can from our ongoing research:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Applying FS to a 'group of homes'
Dear Joe, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Tuesday, May 11, 1999 8:02 PM Subject: applying f.s. to 'group homes' The yearly stars can be considered, but would have to be careful as there are 200 people of which not all are sultable for everyone. Other than that, I believe it is very difficult, because even if you want to use the eight house, it can be pretty messy to organise. But of course if you can, you could help them, by grouping those in certain direction together. Practically of course, it is very difficult. This is my opinion, if any others have a different, feel free to comment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Seasonal Impact on Element Strength
-----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'five-element-cures' suppressed 'five-element-cures' suppressed> Date: Tuesday, May 11, 1999 5:51 PM Subject: Seasonal Impact on Element Strength Let's put in easily, each month has an element. So so long as the element in the month is one of your favourable element in your case, anything which is Water or Earth should be good for you. You see, what the Ba Zi birth chart considers is the seasonal influences which you are born in to deduce your elements. The seaons when it comes in, is often extended throughout the world. Only difference is there is a level of shift in how strong the effects are. Ba Zi, in itself has many limitations to start with. It is difficult to take into account many aspect, but the key purpose of the chart is to see what kind of influence you are born with. Or in another what most Chinese believe is that you are born with a certain given fate. And therefore, Ba Zi is supposed to reveal that secrets to you so that you can better take advantage of it. Very good reasoning. And well, actually if you look at Feng Shui a lot comes from reasoning. Well what you got is the Earth Wrong, It should be Metal. Actually there are only 4 seasons right? So Each element is represent by the 4 seasons except for earth. Earth is found in every season. But only dominate in the 3rd month of each season. Where all the previously strong element becomes weak as it awaits the birth of the other season. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Living in a yacht
Dear Yael, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 10:07 PM Subject: living in a yacht Personally, I have not read any materials about Feng Shui for yacht. Also, because for the yacht, your directions are often changing, realistically there is no way you can even apply Flying Star or Eight House to your yacht, your boat is often changing directions. If you do want to apply Feng Shui to your yacht, the only possible theory is either Yin & Yang, Colours and Five Element. This means you can apply things like say if you are a weak wood, then obtain colour of an element that would strengthen you when you are in the boat. Frankly, other then that, many of the other theories cannot be used on the yacht, as your yacht is not in a fixed direction. If there are any other views to this, free feel to comment on this. However, this is my personal opinion based on the various theories available. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I-Ching Hexagram - I noticed that there is a hexagram made up of 3 yin lines (upper half) and 3 yang lines (bottom half) on the upper left corner of the Geomancy-online webpage. What does the hexagram represent?
Dear Rose, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 11:55 AM Subject: Re: I-Ching Hexagram 1. The hexagram is the Metal Element and the surrounding is Water. I leave you to guess what our Element is:) May I guess i. weak water ii. strong fire, or iii. strong earth I believe you can understand the reasons for my guesses. What is the difference between metal (gold) surrounded by water (blue), vs water surrounded by metal? The difference is that when metal is surrounded by water, it actually enhances the water from within, making it much stronger. On the other hand, if water is inside and surrounded by metal, the water inside becomes stronger, but the exterior metal weakens. Ideally, the external layer should be stronger than the interior to effectively deflect external forces. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Flying Star
Dear Airvrm Teo, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 12:10 AM Subject: Flying Star These are 81 unique interpretation which has been analysed and used by masters as standards explanation. Most of the interaction are pretty simply and direct as such the results can be deduced without the base star. But for certain stars, where the influence is not very clear, the base star has to be considered as it could change the influence of the two stars. The orginal messages are in chinese verses. This is because 6 is a star which is need not be auspicious if it is not in period 6. 6 is supposed to be strong metal while 5 is supposed to be earth. Given that 6 is strong metal, but if it will be too strong when it exhuast 5. Thus if the period is not 6 then, the results is bad. Otherwise pretty ok. So in certain combinations the base star is pretty important to deduce if it is good or bad. In any case, you are advised to used the newly added Five Element Analysis for the interpretation of stars, because the analysis has taken into account several analysis such as element of the two stars, the strengths of the two stars, and even the type of combination (aupicious, average, inauspicious). These can accurate give you the solution for the interaction of the stars. The 81 interpretation is for simple reference, and some detailed analysis that has taken the above with relationship to the Five elements to the body parts etc. It can only be used to analyse the Moutain and Water star and not any other combinations. Such as Moutain and base or water and base. You cannot use it for even 20-year vs yearly. The results are meant more for the two flying stars. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Flying Star - Look at which stars?
Dear Arivm Teo, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Sunday, May 09, 1999 11:58 PM Subject: Flying Star The most important is first to take note of the interaction between the mountain vs the water star. This normally produces the influences such as illness, or etc. After that, when the two stars are analysed, to make it even more comprehensive a comparision to the base star is necessary. Certain combinations does not really create any major influences as such only with the base star can the details be known. Not sure if you are aware, we have recently revised the flying star to v6.10 with an addition to the Triple Combination which takes a look at the base star espcially when the combination of the two stars are inauspicious. If not, feel free to generate the new report. Yes, 2 & 5 are pretty bad combinations, and you have to put cures reduce the influences created by the stars. It is best not to even stay in the room if you can avoid it. As 2 is illness, while 5 is misfortune / illness. These two stars combines and possible results could be very ill and even possible misfortune. For kitchen the double seven is pretty good because it is for a house the kitchen is supposed to be where food is cooked for the entire family. Simply activate the mountain star if which I believe should be found in this combination. By using an object with mass such as paper weight and placed on a shelf in that direction. But take note is that you need a wall without window just below the where you want to place the object. Either way, 2 & 5 or 5 & 2 are equally bad. These stars combines to form very bad influences. These are created by Earth stars, so best is Metal or Wood (such as 6 coins tied together or wood objects such as plants). Although most books recommend wind chimes, but wind chimes is sometimes a double edged element, with the number of rods which can represent a certain element as well as the wind chime can come in forms of metal, wood etc. Which is why we do not recommend it. In any case any Metal or Wood object should be sufficient to weaken the two inauspicious Earth star. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Is a balcony at the back of the house bad?
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. As this message was sent anonymous, it does not go into the mailing list and we do not login every day to view the web message. If you do so there will be a protrusion in this sector. Normally, for a house it is not advisable for a house to have protrusion especially in the true cardinal directions (North, South, East, West). Under Feng Shui interpretation, it is best not to have protrusion at the North. You can still use the existing center point. However one caution:- 1. Your Flying Star of the house may change. This is especially if your house is built in the period 6 or less (1983 and below). This means that if you have good stars in the previous year, and this changes, your luck may change to the new chart. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Peggy, Apologise for the late reply. As this message is sent anonymously it is not sent to the mailing list, and we do not login to the forum every other day. Depending on the situation. It is sometimes better to shift to a better room. It is ok for Feng Shui. Most importantly, your bedroom should in the room which is in your 4 good location. This would be better then staying in rooms which is not under your 4 good directions. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Flying Star v6.10
Dear Users, We are pleased to inform you that the latest revision of the Flying Star report v6.10 is available. Enhancements:- ============== 1. Explanations of what each section of the detailed Sector Analysis Chart. 2. Five Element Analysis module has been improved & fine-tuned for more accurate analysis of the stars. New analysis has taken the element strength's into detail. Providing a better proposed solution. 3. Triple combination which includes the Mountain Star, Water Star to its base star. If such a combination exists. This sector is considered balanced and therefore it is an auspicious sector. This means that even if the combination is inauspicious but the proposed solution is fulfilled by the base star. The sector then forms a Triple Combination which is considered an auspicious sector. ============================================ Once again we like to take this opportunity to thank all users for their valuable support and feedbacks! Applications of 5-Element Cures
Dear Davis, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'five-element-cures' suppressed 'five-element-cures' suppressed> Date: Saturday, May 08, 1999 10:13 AM Subject: Re: Applications of 5-Element Cures Yes, which is why normally I consider metal in your situation as neutral. Why? Simply because you are earth, in the cycle metal plays exhaution role. In another scenario it plays as destroying wood (your destruction element). In another role it plays as supporting to water. So you see at any one time an element has at least 3 different roles. It is good for you if you are strong, why? Because if you are strong earth, although using wood can destroy earth, but on the other hand wood also give birth to fire which in turn give birth to earth so not a very good solution. Instead I normally recommendt metal because metal will exhaust the earth, without adding additional influences to fire or earth. In any case, what is more importance it balance. metal (geng over shen), right? Will it be a good day for me =or a bad day? If bad, how must I counter it? If you put it in this way, that means that at any one hour, your influence also changes right? So is it pratical for you to keep changing your cures every hour? For that matter every day? I think for such changes. It is sufficient to take into account 10-year, 5-year, yearly. Maybe even monthly (which will be added in the future revision). What is more important is trying to acheive balance in your element. It is not easy to achive true balance. At most we can only achieve seemly balance stage. If you notice your pillars, each element also represent a certain deity right? What happens if you only have 1 out of 10 deities? This means that you cannot enjoy a balance of all the other influence in your life. This means that even if you are weak earth, it is still a must to have some wood in your life to control your earth which may be too strong at times. So having a balance of element is the "best" for everyone. No one can say that they life their life 100% perfect right? Lets take a business for example. If you have not failed before do you think you can succeed? You learn from your mistakes and take the best out of it right? So Feng Shui principles are similar if you can relate them. It gives you a slightly different perspective at looking at objects etc. Which is why Feng Shui is often termed as harmony with your environment. Knowing the influence does help you. But in any case, knowing about the influence allows you to make full use of it. In order to make it work, you yourself have to play an important part. For example, if you have a wealth deity in your chart, but you do not work hard to utilise it, do you think that wealth will fall into you hands? Or will it go away? Ponder upon what I said and when you do understand it, you will know how you can acheive your own personal balance. No one can help you except yourself. Feng Shui can only do so much as to let you see thing in a different perspective, the rest is up to you. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Ten Deities Analysis

But for us we find that the Feng Shui aspect of improvement is more important, these portion will be added in due course. Secondly, personally it takes time for me to program in the various logics involved in the calculation for the analysis. Therefore, in due course I would add in those module. But for now, as there are very little books on this subject especially since each section in itself is pretty complicated thus, quite difficult even to produce some introduction without confusing the users. As many users often asked us about the Wealth portion, so I have added a basic analysis into it first. I will add the rest in a step at the time. But as mentioned they are more towards Fortune Telling. My main concern was to help people in need that requires to know what kind of cures are suitable for them as well as how to improve the luck for a particular year. That is why Pillars is useful, as the Feng Shui aspect of it allows us to know what is the true element. This is often needed for deduction of the type of cures to use when compared to Flying Star. Applications of 5-Element Cures
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0022_01BE9884.A957A130 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Dear Rose, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'five-element-cures' suppressed 'five-element-cures' suppressed> Date: Friday, May 07, 1999 10:40 AM Subject: Applications of 5-Element Cures You see water does two things at any one time. Once it will normally help the wood first. This means that by the time it completed producing wood, it is pretty weak to destroy Fire. In your case I believe you told me that you are Strong Fire, right? So the best cure for you is exhausting your strong fire by using Earth. Alternatively, you can also use Metal which in turn destroy wood weakening its ability to strengthen your fire. However, the best cure which I noticed is still Earth. This is because Fire destroys Metal, so end up the metal cure which you apply may not work at all or very little influence. Metal will produce Water. This is the princple of the Five Element, once Metal helps to produce the Water, Water is in turn strengthen. Once Water is Strengthen it will be strong enough to destroy Fire, even after exhausting itself when producing wood. This creates a special balance. Where especially Strong Fire. When this combination comes into play, you can say that you are pretty balanced by the surrounding elements. Which is what Five Element is all about = Balance. Fire will automically help Earth as long as there is earth elements objects around. Like if say you are eating, only when there is food around will you want to eat right? Similarily, only when there is Earth can Fire be exhausted into producing Earth. Yes, the shape of the objects often takes precedence over the colour of the object. As for this question it is simple. You see you can only take advantage of your wealth deities when you are Strong, this means that give that you are born strong fire, you are already possibly a person with strong will or simply a person who should be able to lead etc. Thus, being strong, you can then take advantage of being able to "command" or "control" the deities. This means that you can know when and how to take advantage of making money when it appears in front of you. Hope you understand what I mean. ie. You have lots of opportunity to make money but whether or not you can take advantage of it is up to you. It is auspicious for you, because it is your Wealth. Metal is considered your wealth deity. Thus, being strong fire, any Metal in your life can be turned in to your wealth. Warmest Regards Robert Lee ------=_NextPart_000_003C_01BE9801.96A668B0--

House direccio/kua number
Dear Joe, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'feng-shui-tips' suppressed 'feng-shui-tips' suppressed> Date: Wednesday, May 05, 1999 10:19 PM Subject: House direccio/kua number Yes, we know of a printing error, however, I cannot remember if that is the particular portion which is wrong. In order to verify, you can make use of the Free Eight House Chart at www.geomancy-online.com or the Eight House Template at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm. The charts generated here have already been tried and tested for many years. They will provide you with the accurate information. So long as the house is not facing the death or disaster for the breadwinner it is ok. As these two are the most inauspicious under the Eight House Theory. We have found many users who had these two lines falling at their main door or bedroom, having lots of problems. Ideally, if it is best to have any of the four good directions at the main door and your bedroom. If the spook or irritation is at the main door not so bad. But make sure the bedroom has a good direction influence otherwise, the breadwinner will also have difficulties. The bedroom and main door are the two key areas when finding a suitable house. Additional, make sure that the center of the house does not have a toilet, kitchen, stairs. Preferably the center of the house should be left clear or neutral location. So that all the intangible forces can merge without any one element being strong to create an imbalance in the location. Other then that, you have to look out for any other shapes and forms etc. And for serious users you may want to consider using the Flying Star to obtain the Feng Shui of the house so that you can prevent any unexpected disasters due to the bad influence created by the Mountain and Water star. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

How to determine the 'liu yue' & 'liu ri'?
Dear Chris, Apologise for the late reply. Was checking through the forum and found these unanswered. That section of the Flying Star is pretty complex because each of the month, day, hour has different condition it must fulfill. Such as which month in which they fall under. And if you are doing the analysis for the male or female personal flying star, the gender say male goes in ascending order and female in descending order. There are also one set of calculation based on Xia, and another for the lunar. So each has a slightly different for determinining the month, day, hour, minute and second. Normally, very few use this for house, as they normally go until month should be sufficient. The detail analysis after that is normally for personal flying star which you can use to predict the day and hour which you should get married, finding lost person, etc. One reason is because it is not feasible to be changing your cures for the house every day, every hour, and every minute right? So normally these calculation are applied as a form of determining auspicious day and time. For personal calculation usually. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

The Three Combinations of Flying Star Feng Shui
Dear Vivian, Apologise for the late reply. Was checking the forum for any unanswered mails and this message was found. In fact, the issue is not solely about specific numbers; rather, it pertains to the inter-relationships among the elements and the strengths of each star in relation to one another. This process is quite intricate when determining the relationships between two stars and becomes even more complicated when analyzing three stars. Nevertheless, the analysis does not typically conclude there, as it is necessary to cross-reference this information with yearly data and subsequently with monthly data, culminating in a five-star analysis. For a two-star analysis, it is feasible to identify approximately 200,000 different interrelations among the stars. Additionally, the stars have yet to be connected to the directional element. Indeed, the aforementioned illustrates the relationship between wood, metal, and fire. This particular combination effectively harmonizes the elements, as the fire consumes the wood, which subsequently damages the metal. Conversely, the metal also harms the wood, resulting in a state of equilibrium. Provided that this combination remains undisturbed, it is deemed favorable. Typically, three elements are required to establish a balanced combination; therefore, when such combinations are observed, the outcome is no longer considered unfavorable. Regrettably, I cannot recall any specific instances as the charts typically undergo frequent changes. Moreover, even if a combination appears favorable, it may not be beneficial if the individual residing there is not compatible with it. For instance, a person possessing Strong Wood and Strong Metal under the aforementioned influences may not necessarily be advantageous, as their strength may be excessive for such influences. Conversely, an individual with Weak Water or even Strong Water could potentially establish a more favorable balance, as they are simultaneously reinforced by the Metal and depleted by the Wood. Regardless, it remains essential to correlate the stars with the individual residing in the house. Otherwise, no matter how excellent a house may be, if it does not align with the person, it will not serve them well. This highlights the limitation of the Flying Star system when it is not cross-referenced with the individual in the residence. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
