  1. Can you tell which spider web is of Chinese Origin? Which is akin to the Mad Cow Disease? Which is like the lights on a Christmas tree? Unfortunately, no prize for the correct answer (s)
  2. Please refer to some of my past messages on the toilet in the centre. Although this is considered a leak; usually a home that has severe wealth leaks are those that have 3 or more major wealth leaks. Yes, because of it's controversal design, I agree it does look like a sitting toilet. Anyway; look at it this way; scientific tests have shown that the amount of germs on a toilet seat (or in live we call this trash) is less than those found on our personal PC keyboards. In addition, look at Treasury Building at 8 Shenton Way. The treasury building is ROUND. and has the auspicious 8 or infinity address. Oval shapes are equal to circular which is equal to metal or GOLD. More importanly, the big picture is all about: Location, location and location. One advantage of "point blocks" or each block with able to flow around it is good.
  3. Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui to attract wealth cannot be based on just one sentence. It involves the understanding / the application of some of these concepts:- * Fix-the-Leak, First! (VERY IMPORTANT) * The Concept of Maximizing Marks(VERY IMPORTANT) * The Customer Engineer Concept (VERY IMPORTANTFOR D.I.Y. FENG SHUI) An understanding of these concepts: * Commonsense Approach Fact or Fiction? (GOOD TO UNDERSTAND) * Fast Food Feng Shui (GOOD TO UNDERSTAND) * Feng Shui Triage * Situational Approach * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Three-Step-Approach * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star Look at it this way, if it is so easy not only to attract but to retain wealth; then one liner answer to this question is out.
  4. 1. The lucky wealth star #8 falls in the facing direction of the NW. Thus homes that have FACING direction of NW should benefit from it. It is particuarly auspicious for those in the "earth" and "metal" industries. 1.1 Reference to the element and occupation; please refer to : http://talk.geomancy.net 2. However, do avoid renovations at this sector; else will affect the wealth luck. 3. In addition, at work or when investing; avoid making hurried decisions. For those with young children: avoid playing with roller skates (as may be prone to injuries to the arms and legs - bones) Note: for 2011: the worst facing directions are : East (where five yellow & Tai Sui - meets) ; South (where two black resides = health concerns) ; North (where the three Green #3 is. Special concern is if one's spouse is frequently travelling; concern of infidelity issues)
  5. These are the considerations:- 1. Please check out what I mentioned earlier under Para 1.1. 2. Thus, if the mirror faces a senic view of say of a water feature, then symbolically, it "aborbs" that view. 3. Glass (depending on its grade and thickness); from a Five Element concept point of view is considered as belonging to the metal element. And for mirrors, usually one side with a coating of "silver oxide" type of material, is generally considered as belonging to the metal element. Thanks for the reply sir.You have given a wonderful explanation for mirrors. But can mirrors also be used as water element cure? You have also talked about water paintings. Will the painting of a waterfall be a sufficient water element cure. Since the painting also has a mountain and hence earth element comes into play. So a painting of a waterfall is of the earth element or water??On 9/23/2010 8:13:01 PM, Cecil Lee wrote: These are some of the considerations:-ABOUT DECORATIVE MIRROR (MIRRORS) OR A FLAT MIRROR ABOVE, SAY A DOOR1. 7. A typical Chinese coolie in Singapore in the 1920's.
  8. See whether you have the nerve to touch the EAST sector from 03 Feb >2011 to 22 Jan 2012!!
  9. In the Rabbit Year from 03 Feb 2011 to 22 Jan 2012; the dreaded Five Yellow meets Tai Sui or Grand Duke at the EAST sector! Especially for homes: FACING EAST and SITTING EAST; next year brings extreme caution! As any renovations done especially for these two directions can result in a combination of both misfortune and health issues. For such homes; hanging a six-hollow rod windchime at these directions does help. BUT NEVER do any renovations, here (EAST). For other facing directions; it is equally of concern not to do renovations also at EAST! Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2011.htm
  10. 1. Usually, the most visual concern is that of the visible roof and spine of the church. Usually the spine is usually the christian cross signage. 2. Here, the most common issue is if one were to stand in the apartment and can see the pointed roof or the spine, then this could be a sha qi. 3. Sometimes, even the roof of the house next to the church or if it has a tv antennae pose a threat; not to say that only the church may pose a threat.
  11. These are other major considerations:- 1. Location, location and location. 1.1 This has one of the highest weightage : Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 1.2 Even under this location, location and location "thing" external Shapes and Forms far outweigh; looking at just the micro-Feng Shui of the interior or layout of a home. 2. The "BIG PICTURE" or in many of the psychological concepts mentioned by motivational speakers the word "THINK BIG". 2.1. For example, how many can say that they stay in a home or premises that is not "anchored" on solid ground? As mentioned previously the only people not under this category could be on a ship; a structure on the sea e.g. a Kelong or wooden homes on the sea? 2.2. Thus, everywhere we step we are stepping on "earth" be it sand, pepples, concrete, grass that thrives on sand... etc.... so this thing about earth, here, earth there is no big deal.
  12. A. Wow, your question is too basic that it is best to use your fingers to find the knowledge:- 1. For example, you can use the top left search field in this forum to search for sepcific terms like:- 1.1.Flying Star Feng Shui 1.2. Mountain Star 1.3. Water Star 1.4. Base Star and/or palace star 1.5. 9 star ki (nine star ki) Other broader terms on the two major schools of Feng Shui:- 1.6. Compass School Feng Shui (which includes Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui) 1.7. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui B. Alternatively, there are lots of books on Flying Star Feng Shui; usually available in bookstores or if you want to have a solid grounding; you might want to consider say, taking a course on it... Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/courses/courses-flyingstar/courses-flyingstar.htm
  13. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Both use the lowest common denominator: Yin and Yang with The Five Elements concept. 2. Ba zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu can be as general or can be as detailed: thus sometimes; even no two ba zi analysis could beconsidered as equal. 2.1. For example, ba zi can be as detailed as possible: with as many variables in it: Year , Month, Day, Hour and for the living two more pillars : House of Life and House of Conception. (Each variable has two other variables: Heavenly stem and Earthly branches). 3. In my opinion, one should instead, firstly note what is the difference between A's analysis of Zi Wei Dou Shu vs B's, C's or D's! And what is the difference between E's, F's and G's analysis of Ba zi. Since they are often not "created" equal. 4. Fundamentally; some of these terms may apply: W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G (what you see is what you get) and G.I.G.O. (Garbage in garbage out) type of senarios. For example, Ba zi can be as "limited" as just using the Year, Month, Day pillar (especially if Hour, house of life and house of conception) are left out. 4.1. Thus, one cannot say that two ba zi charts are similar! The generic name: Ba zi is the same but how to equate the result of two ba zi findings if one uses only variable as mentioned under Para 4 above vs another that uses ba zi findings based on Para 2.1? Think about it...
  14. This is one way of analysing the earth element:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=7&mid=868&new=%3EHouse%20Hunting%20:%20A%20Lot%20Position%20-%20%3Cem%3EFeng%20Shui%3C/em "Quoting the following:- sir,Can we say all homes made of brick, sand and stone are predominantly earth element house?. And if the whole flooring is of white marble, then it makes the earth element more stronger.Using clay pots as decoration pieces would furthur intensify the earth element??Thanks
  15. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon! Usually for every 1,000,000 person, the 1,000,001 person is born with a silver spoon! Do you know of anyone?
  16. This illustration gives a better understanding of how DOORs or GATEs should open in a landed property. This layout: a semi-detached home.
  17. 1. Under Feng Shui, the main gate and back gate is not as important a consideration as the FRONTAGE (MAIN DOOR) and/or the SITTING OR BACK OF THE HOME. 2. Please refer to the attachment to confirm the "proper" meaning of things like:- 2.1. Main gate (is not the main door) 2.2. The back gate (is not the back door of the home).
  18. These are some considerations:- 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is about:- 1.1. The "mouth of the house". And this mouth is usually the FACING direction. 1.2. The back of the home or known as the SITTING directions is equally important. 2. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui:- 2.1. For a landed property, the main door should at least have one Leaf or one DOOR that open inwards. 2.2. In addition, if the home has a back door e.g. a wooden back door, this back door should open inwards. This excludes the grille protecting the backdoor etc... 2.3. If the home does not have a back door; then this is considered as a neutral position. 3. If there is a straight path from the main door to the back of the house, then it is best to have a back door instead of just an opening at the back yard area. 4. In my opinion, I take your meaning of a back gate as a gate from the back of the home leading out of the property perimeter. And not the back grille gate of the back of the home: often this is the area where most kitchens open towards the back yard area. 5. If there is a drain or storm or monsoon drain behind the home, than best that the perimeter fence of the home is fully covered such that standing inside the home, one should not be able to see the drain. This can also be a cement wall or wooden panels that "shield" the view of the area after the perimeter of the home.
  19. Yes, Feng Shui can help provided it is applied properly. Like the term: garbage in garbage out applies.
  20. Under the eight house concept, it is nice to be in a good sector and or good facing a good sector while at work. Sorry what is this great room you mentioned? The Grand Toilet?
  21. 1.Frankly, Holistic Feng Shui is more than what you had mentioned. 2. In my opinion, no harm, trying. But do refer to these two guidelines:- * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach 3. More guidelines:- *Commonsense Approach Fact or Fiction? * Fast Food Feng Shui * Feng Shui Triage * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star
  22. 1. If your kitchen is open towards the yard; and the yard area is close by, may consider hanging a six hollow rod windchime at a open yard area to help disarm these stars. 2. Yes, star 7 is bad under this current period. But what is of greater concern is star 9 fueling sickness star 2. Star 9 on its own is suppose to be good. But being a fire element, it may further inflame star 2, at that sector. 3. Given, that it is only star 2, and not star 5, one simple thing is to avoid bright yellow nor use warm white lights in that bedroom. Try to use cool day lights and avoid red colour also.
  23. 1. In fact on the contrary, toilet under a staircase is instead a blessing in disguise. 2. Frankly it is luckily just a toilet. Another common area is a storeroom below a toilet which is equally ecxellent. 3. Thus a cure is not necessary, here. 4. A dining table facing the stairs is again, based on shapes and forms is nothing serious so long as the dining table [is not too close to] the estairs that should anyone accidentally falls or trio, will not hit especially the head against the table. 5. Based on Shapes and forms, again, avoid any sharp objects on the dining table e.g. a scissorss placed on that part of the dining table for too long. 6. A plant, at the dining table area is not a good idea, as already there is a base star with 3, there and lets hope no more star 3 flies into that sector.
  24. 1. Please refer to my earlier comments. 2. I mentioned that specifically, your chart may be cold, and it could get colder in a "cold, cold - winter" period. 3. Thus, time dimension can affect your personal bazi chart. 4. In addition, have not seen your chart, and unable to make comments as I had mentioned: there are 12 variables that interact in every ba zi chart. And your cold chart is anyone's guess for now. Even for a cold chart, like a range : it can range from : cool to cold to freezing cold sort of thin. 5. Why don't you, since you went to so many geomancers; make an effort to perhaps, asks questions about your chart. 6. Common questions are: how's my "luck" for this year, next year, 10 years down the road etc.. 7. As once a detailed ba zi chart has been properly plotted, there are lots, lots and lots of information: from personal health, wealth, luck etc.. etc... 8. For those who don't have so called "luck" from heaven; in one's lifetime; but there are such things as 6th monthly luck. And in many cases, where some even don't have "luck from heaven" in say a ten year moving average period; but if you check carefully, their six monthly luck can move up or down depending on the period or time dimension that they are in. 9. Therefore, even in a cold chart senario, it does not mean ... "doom" sort of thing. You have check with our geomancer; as I mentioned, cold can range e.g. from a cold setting of 1 to 100. So where is your setting like? Go check out. 10. Furthermore, as I have always mentioned; there in general THREE kinds of LUCK orsimply "The Holy Trinity of Luck":- 10.1 HEAVEN LUCK 10.2 EARTH LUCK 10.3 HUMAN OR MAN LUCK Your bazi accounts for only 33.3333333333333333% of the above luck.
