1. Yes, cremation is neutral. And even if someone dies of a tragic death; bringing in an urn contain that person's or family's ashes is again neutral. 2. In my opinion, should not be a cause any other misfortunes (if any). 3. Thus, keeping status quo or sprinkling the ashes into the sea is equally acceptable. 4. As we grow old; one day we may not have control of how the urn is "disposed". And perhaps, sprinkling the ashes is some form of a healing, then go for this option (if you are not looking at another option of placing his urn in a niche/place. 5. Best ofLuck! Mika H. wrote: Thank you so much for your advice. I have just one more question. It is about keeping the ashes of my husband's father. I researched this subject in your forum and you said the ashes are usually "neutral". My father-in-law died of a tragic accident happened in the snow mountain nearly 20 years ago, due to the lack of clear signage--severe neglect by the government. After his death, his sons went into a deep depression and my brother-in-law is still quite depressed. Right before we got married, we got hit by the huge government bus which totaled our car. In this case, do you think it's still OK to keep his ashes? We are also thinking about spreading his ashes on the mountain he loved. Any comment will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for the generosity of your time in reading this and writing comments.

1. Some of us think that everything revolves solely around Flying Star Feng Shui! 2. The maxim: Location, location, location! 3. Here: Location, location, location simply means SHAPES AND FORMS Feng Shui prevail over the Flyin or Freckin Flying Star Feng Shui! 4. Thus, don't just eat and sleep on Flying Star Feng Shui! 5. Just imagine; even if one has a perfect score under Flying Star Feng Shui i.e. within the four walls of a home or apartment; but everythin else crumbles outside of the four walls! 6. Please take note that: we can live without Flying Star but not the other way around! We cannot live without proper Shapes and Forms Feng Shui but can easily forgo Freakin Flying Star!

Last weekend, a previous client of mine called that he is house hunting as he needs a larger home. Furthermore, his current home has lots of staircases even to the "guest room" where is mother-in-law is staying. He chanced upon an "open house" for no. 1 Parry View which is on sale for whatever reasons. From the streetdirectory map: No. 1 Parry View: does not seem to have very good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Take alook at the home at the "bottom" of the Y. Feng Shui can still help to redress some of the issues. But this is already a major leak: Location, location, location - ain't good! Based on Shapes and Forms; this home is situated at the "bottom" of the "V" of the Y shaped layout plan. (or Fan shaped layout plan.) Note: Roads are like water courses. Thus solely based on Shapes and Forms (alone) it is best to avoid purchasing such a home. Rather than after purchasing; needs "lots of TLC" Feng Shui care to squeeze out (if any) luck from this land.

These are some of the consideration:- 1. Even in a bedroom; the Eight House can be applied, in this example:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on 2. In the bedroom; it is not like because the two differs; both partners would have to sleep with each other's "smelly" feet and toes. 3. Even in this modern times, the phrase still stands " male chauvinist PIG = MCP". 3.1. Thus, when finding a home; and if one applies the Eight House concept; usually the Male's suitability is considered First or of prime importance. 3.2. Even if the female earns 50-50 percent of the income for the home; usually Para 3.1. still stands but with some consideration for the female. 3.3. For example; between a NE or SW facing home which is considered a BETTER choice? 3.4. Some geomancers "seek" some sort of a compromise: 3.4.1 Where in this example: the Male : NE = excellent ; Female NE = disaster while for the Male : SW = Prosperity while Female SW = irritation. 3.4.2 Normally, without looking at the Female's ba zi; NE is preferred facing direction of the main door. But in this case; it can be "adjusted" to say that the top choice is SW facing. Get the picture? 3.4.3 Alternatively, some geomancers place higher weightage for NE facing home for the couple BUT hope that the bedroom sector is most suitable for the female or spouse.

Is it true that a jack of all trades is a master of none? Not necessary! In the past, a butcher is a butcher and a merchant is a merchant. Today, all of us must have multi-skills and most of all multi-task! Thus it is not surprised that many of us routinely perform more than one element in a job! For example; a CEO may wear an accountant hat (Metal element); do strategic planning (Wood element); Customer Relations (Earth element); Marketing strategies (Fire element) and be an excellent communicator (Water element!) In addition; there is the industry one is employed in and one's core job function. Nowadays; the job is "close to one's heart" or one's core job function should be the main element. Thus; if this person has been employed as a "Marketing executive"; then his/her key role is : FIRE ELEMENT even though he/she may be in a different industry e.g. Authorised Agent of a brand of car e.g. Audi. (where the industry is the Metal element as predominantly the main component of a car is usually made up mostly of metal parts).

Anonymous wrote: Or possibly some spirits rebelling against positive changes we are making? There always has been a suspicion that this apartment might have some harmful spirits and we also noticed that the light of the altar got SWITCHED OFF by itself after the Feng Shui changes (not by the connection problem, somebody other than us switched it off). If this was caused by 5 yellows, is there anything I should do? We cannot move the altar, and we always have to light candles. But we have some bells on the altar. If you have any advice, I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance. 1. Usually, haunting occurs for any of the following reasons:- 1.1. Bought an "antique" item and not aware of it's history and place it in one's home. 1.2. Sometimes hanging wind chimes may inadvertenly attract such things. 1.3. If one has children and they often have nightmares or if adults also have nightmares. 1.4. Rarer: If one recently moved-in a new home and usually if one has a child that becomes the "portal" for such forces. 1.5. If are unusual "cold spots" especially a bedroom closet... 1.6. Where the altar is located at NE (devil's gate) and SW (devil's backdoor) area. For both the Chinese and Hindu - puja (pooja); this is one of the most inauspicious locations. 2. "If it is not broken, don't fix it." applies. As for the Five Yellow; currently lacking in more details. As due to the "time dimensions"; #5 can occur in a month, a day, an hour a second... And if they all coincide then could be one of the reasons for your "issues". 3. If one's altar is located at NE or SW; one effective method especially for a Chinese altar for the Guan Yin is to buy a Chinese Luopan and place it horizontally - usually below the Guan Yin i.e. the Guan Yin is sitting on top of the luo pan. This will help...

Usually it is best to havea sketch and it also depends on whether it is a Chinese altar or an Indian Puja or Pooja (hindu worship place).

Within a Ba zi chart; there is a person's individual bazi element. In other "sections" of the ba zi report; there is a breakdown of the five elements and the person's percentage. For example; in this sample report; the individual is a weak water person. Not this example butdo check the"balance of elements"for example a person may have 1percent water element; 3 percent wood; 0 percent fire; 86 percent earth and 7 percent metal. In traditional Geomancy; when a child is born; the above is looked at and a name chosen. For most Chinese a name normally consists of three characters. Sometimes a name may be chosen due to the interaction of the three characters of his/her name where the surname is fixed or cannot change. Again it depends on the type of bazi chart. So chart may in "rare" instances require the use of the opposite cure. However, the key success factor is the mastery of The Five Elements concept and also usually, more than one opposite element has to be used to create a three or four elements e.g. water, wood and fire or metal, water or wood type of harmonious "flow". Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, I heard there are some bazi reading that is too weak where the master will use the opposite cure element. Example :- Very Weak Wood suppose to need Water and Wood to cure but in this case the master will use Fire, Earth or Metal to cure. Is this true? And will there be any danger? Regards, Mrs. Yip

These are some of the considerations:- 1. The main concern is that of a tree trunk slicing towards a window or an opening e.g. balcony sliding door or any other opening in a home. It is akin to a butter knife (the trunk) slicing towards the home creating a sha-qi or poison arrow. 2. If there are lots of branches, then if it blocks the view; this is not the same as Para 1; but again; if it facing an unblocked view ... "what a waste!" 3. In the past, in Singapore around the 1960's to 1970's where many landed properties were pretty large e.g. at least 5,000 sq feet to 10,000 sq feet; planting one or several mango trees are of no issue. 3.1. Today, if one stands below a matured mango tree; it is often dark below the tree as sunlight cannot penetrate. Thus, naturally, not ideal condition especially without some natural sunlight all the time.

Usually a luopan can be placed behind a figurine of say a Guan Yin statue or below it. But, need expert help to check on it's feasiblity. This "ba-gua" is a Luopan Ba gua and is used for "wealth" purposes.

1. This free report can find out whether an apartment'sunit number is suitable or not:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/hselist-houseno.htm 2. There is no scientific proof thatstrong magnetic field can affect one's health. This includes sub-stations and even those MRI's used in hospital where the magnetic field is 100 times those of sub-stations. 3. In fact, there are many private apartmentsand even condos that have sub-stations much closer thanyou mentioned. For example, the Meyer Place condo; a substation is just belowone of the units. 4. Many condos e.g. Dahlia park; and 100's more condos with substations and units close-by to them. 5. Therefore, if one is talking about magnetic field stemming from sub-stations; there is so far no concrete medical or scientic proof that itaffects health.

1. Name plate pointing towards your entrance:- Unfortunately, the best alternative is a tit-for-tat situation. Install the same pointed exactly towards your neighbour'sname plate is one solution. 2. You mentioned: two bagua mirrors .. fixed facing your door If you have a photo of the mirrors would be great or at least describe each of the mirrors e.g. one mirror has a bagua trigram on the outer rim and a concave or convex mirror.. etc.. If you have more details; then may be just may be the tit-for-tat house number plate is not necessary. Without more details....... difficult to figure out what is the "cure" especially for the two mirrors that you had mentioned... Mahima S. wrote: Last two years, I have been staying in a flat where the opposite neighbour's have placed poison arrows placed on their name plate, pointing towards our entrance.Secondly, two bagua mirrors have been fixed facing our door.

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Wow! In my opinion, what you wrote is like theoritical physics or a thesis inked in stone! 2. I can also say this "This is really heavy stuff man!" Again, wow, wow, wow! 3. Just imagine, lets go back to 100 years back. Frankly, 100 years is not a long time given that the Chinese civilisation is one of the four that can go back 5,000 years ago. 4. This kind of thinking is truly "beyond" me and our fore-fore-fore fathers. 5. Just ponder over this; maybe the cavemen sleep on rocks. So you should agree with me that theorically, this would be excellent choice if one lacks earth! 6. So how come.. earth or stone bed is missing in your information? Why can't this be added into the "missing corner". Maybe perhaps, some give an excuse and say.. yeah.. this could be that porcelian pillows were found and used in the past. 7. Perhaps, it makes sense for those lacking in earth to sleep on the five footh way? 8. If the water is concealed in a water bed; it really does not make any difference. 9. Imagine.. what happens if our forefathers lack metal in the past? Won't it be detrimental if he/she does not have the luxury of a metal frame and springs? 10. Do you know that even in the last 100 years; it is very costly to sleep on a metal bed? So how? Detrimental effects to those that lack or need metal? 11. If we visit the Forbidden city in Beijing.. go look at the bed... tell me if you SEE a metal bed or even a water bed. 12. In conclusion: in my opinion, those who promote or link such things with ba zi etc... should get their heads examined! 13. For example, drawing a parallel; if one lacks wood does it mean that you have to draw a car or rather a cart made of wood and you should avoid driving a metallic car? OMG! Looney tunes... 14. Personally, have better things to do than to worry whether should I sleep on foam or non spring or non wood etc.... What has this world become? Again, we should spent more quality time on other matters than this rather "crazy notations".

These are some of the considerations:- GENERAL INFORMATION 1. In a micro-level; according to our Chinese customs; the most important consideration is that the common bed that you are currently sleeping on should never be moved even one month after giving birth. 2. Thus in some circumstances where one really has to say move house then, the pregnant wife should literally disappear and not involved in or look at the process of the shift. In many instances, a new bed should be purchased at the new home. Anyway, this para does not apply to your case. But do take note the same. INVOLVING A GEOMANCER 3. Usually, if geomancy (Feng Shui considerations) is involved and if you were to hire a professional geomancer:- 3.1. If you are hiring the geomancer as a package; then he/she would also review your layout plan(s). 3.2. A geomancer would then advice you whether it is ok to proceed as such considerations as "avoid disturbing the Grand Duke"; the five yellow location(s) = may affect misfortune and even the three-killings location. 3.3. Should the geomancer propose the go ahead; usually a good date and time is selected for the start-of renovations etc... FREE FOR ALL (ANYTHING GOES) 4. For those who don't want to hire a geomancer; then cross-fingers and hope for the best and close one's eyes to such things.

These ae some of the considerations:- 1. Do a search in this forum for "altar" and there are many resources on this topic. For example:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27987&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27336&new= 2. Attach a copy of your current layout plan with a simple sketch of where your current altar is and if possible also say the living room sitting arrangement(s) ... so that I can take a look at it.

Please see attachment. Irina M. wrote: Dear Cecil, Please see attached the plan of my flat. For the purpose of finding the centre of the plan, can you please advise: 1) Is terrace considered to be the 'living' area? I have a table with 2 chairs on it. 2)The sticking out parts on top of the plan (bath and bedroom closet) - are these protrusions, or is the area between them a missing part? Many thanks, Irina
