1. When I saw = Male, career issues and finance, I immediately felt that one of the major leaks could be "fire at heaven's gate". 2. Your stove is directly very close to the NW cardinal point. (Often does not matter if it is used or not) - this is known as "fire at heaven's gate" and also no "heaven" luck. 3. For this leak, one cannot move the stove. Thus, one may consider as a last resort place 2 x 1.5 litre of "clear" water close to the stove area & some some pottery or earthen ware like mugs or glass in the cabinet close to the stove. 4. Usually, there are other leaks...

1. In my opinion, there is no basic to equate pink flowers with flower of romance. 2. There are some Feng Shui practitioners that recommend the use of blue flowers - for those lacking in romance i.e. no romance luck, thou.

1. Yes, a bedroom should be well ventilated. And moving is generally good: i.e. open window to allow fresh air. 2. Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the windows can be opened (fully or partially) so long as :- 2.1. If strong winds, then make sure that the bed (face/head) is directly away from this window. Best that the bed is away from the bed. 2.2. Moving "air" such as placing a fan to circulate air within the bedroom is always a plus point. 2.3. For those who have the privilege of turning on air con; it is best that the air-con should not be located above one's bed-head. As cold winds flow downwards and at night, if air con is turned on, cold air would blow directly and sink towards one's face. 2.4. For air-cons best that they are placed on the side of a bedroom or not directly facing the bed at all. 4. In a confined bedroom, where there is no proper circulation of air, to the extreme, one using such a cool-mist humidifier may introduce more moulds or fungi to grow - especially those living in homes that use wooden panel walls. If your walls are solid concrete/bricks then not much of an issue. If not, one may "literally even grow "mushrooms" or "toadstools" in one's bedroom!

1. There are two considerations:- 1.1 So long as one does not turn on the air-con, the cold air don't (move down) directly towards one's face. Adjust the directional blades to changel air away from one's face. 1.2 With the bed, often the bed cannot be pushed too close to the wall. In addition, the bed often have a bed-head; plus when we sleep ona pillow, it is not possible for most of us (if any) to be sleeping with our head direclty below a beam.

As mentioned earlier, there is no such thing as a perfect interior arrangement of a home unless one consults a geomancer and start from scratch. Just feint ignorant, would be best! As unfortunately, many geomancer one encounters is usually not fluent enough in the subject and worse! Many push useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui - to line their pockets with our hard earned money!

This book provides 500 Tips for getting your life in order! Bought this book 5 or 6 years ago. Sometimes such books are more useful than those Feng Shui books out there! Asking us to buy things like Feng Shui jewlry and rubbish commercial products. "When the buying (Feng Shui products) stops! The Selling can! You can look out for such books or resources to help you organize your life.

1. Fundamentally, one of the most basic commonsense approach to Feng Shui is "space clearing". 2. I found this attached article interesting! 3. As it underlines the "root cause of clutter" by clutter management instead of continously buying more say; storage boxes to stack higher and higher until there is really no more space in the home!

An interest article. In Singapore where the vast majority are Chinese, many hindus (Indians) also have the opinion that dark colours e.g. black is considered inauspicious. In fact on the contrary, for the Hindus, black is a favourable colour; just that many are not aware of it. And perhaps, assume that just because the Chinese associate black with "death" or "gloom"; they chose to do the same...

1. Feng Shui is a holistic approach and there are many considerations, priorities and things like major or minor leaks - involved. 2. As all of us know, unless one builds a home from scratch; there is NO SUCH thing as a PERFECT home. 3. The Eight House (4 good or 4 bad) only takes into consideration one's YEAR of birth to determine whether one is an East or West group person. 4. In computer science : the term "Garbage-in, garbage-out". Don't get me wrong Eight House is not about "collecting garbage from the home and throwing it out!". 5. When analysis a sector to sleep; a more accurate method is known as "Ba Zi Feng Shui". 6. Flying Star - which is the siamese twin of Eight House (both belong to the compass school) is rooted under the "Five Elements concept". 7. Ba Zi users Five Elements concept. 8. Thus the common denominator of both Ba zi & Ba zi Feng Shui and Flying Star is = Five Elements concept. 9. Even if your bedroom is your "death" sector... and if your prosperity is in the toilet: if you have a long bath; go sleep there? 10. Thus, Feng Shui is about maximizing one's luck. Thus if one hits a brick wall with Eight House as there is no cure for this: Either you sleep there or if you not - that's all. 11. One could concentrate on other areas of Feng Shui: e.g. use Flying star to analyse the elements (under Five Elements concept) - and correct any imbalance if any and ba zi (favourable colours? water element? Blue etc... 12. More importantly fix major leaks in the home. For example, if the situation is equivalent to e.g. a small dent on the front fender of your car, I am sure, it will still pass the British call MOT test. In Singapore we call the Vehicle inspection to check if it is safe or not. Fundamentally, if the car leaks carbon dioxide this is dangerous... vs a small dent on the fender. Which is more crucial? Or if the brakes fail vs the small dent? What is more important, here? 13. One of the key success factors is:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks

1. Frankly, nowadays all jobs involve multi-skilling. A term that was or seemed to be introduced by the Japanese - Japanese companies - in Singapore. 2. In the past, a merchant is a merchant; a butcher is a butcher. 3. But all these are no longer "true" today. 4. For example; when you mentioned: "Oil - Absolutely no way. It's dangerous". 5. Quoting your example: you are looking only at the INDUSTRY. For example, there are many industries in the oil company. 6. I remembered many decades ago... I am now close to 50 years old; my teachers then were telling us that one of the best industries to work for are the "oil companies" e.g. Dutch Shell; British Petroleum; Mobil, Esso now US : Mobil-Exxon. Perhaps, maybe upto the next 25 years.. oil is and going to be available. 7. So oil industries does not mean that one has to be playing with "oil". Unless one becomes a garage mechanic draining oil from a car. 8. From the above example: nowadays: one has to look at:- What is the industry classified as? Oil? What is YOUR MAIN job specification? E.g. Sales & Marketing = Fire element; Metal - e.g. accountant ; Training and coaching = wood etc... 9. Thus, nowadays; for example: one can work for a hospital (Industry = wood) and one may have studied estate management and joined the hospital as a Estate manager managing the estate of the hospital. 10. Thus, in reality; one should be closely examining one's MAIN job specification - more important consideration, first. 11. Other factors (not bazi):- Inclined to be more introvert of extrovert. We cannot say that all introverts remain introvet all the time or being overly extrovert. Many extroverts have even toned down or got put down by their peers or even the culture that they are in. If one is inclined more towards being an introvert: thus even if their ba zi says fire element is good: how would this person achieve success in direct sales of cars in many instances. If the person is well educated and have studied marketing - some marketing areas are more inclined towards planning.. and here, the person may even be considered as a wood person - growth (stragetic planning of sorts). Most likely those who are inclined or lead a sheltered life in the past; may not like doing "sales job". And some prefer backroom work. The more educated, many have become more risk adverse. That is due to our education system (Singapore) in the past. For example, in the 1960's to 1970's many educated people would rather be a salaried worker in a good company vs being an entrepreneur. The likes of Sim Wong Hoo, Creative, has only a diploma at that time. And many diploma holders perhaps felt nothing to loose! I was also born with a silver spoon. Imagine; from 1 year old to 15 year's old, servant(s) and personal ahmad (driver) all the way. Took my first public bus when I went to junior college when I reached 16 year's old. Most embarrasing was when during school breaks, my servant would be there; ready with my chocolate magnolia drink and a swiss roll coated with sugar. - Can remember for the rest of my life. And immediately after school, my driver would be there to fetch us (brothers) without fail. Yet, my school is just 1.2 km away from my home! 12. Thus, like Feng Shui is not a cure all; Ba zi is neither a ticket to all our hopes and expectations. 13. In modern times; for example, we have smoke detectors; if our bedroom is just above a kitchen, I would rather trust having smoke detectors or fire detection modules at strategic locations vs hanging things like six coins.

I know where you are coming from. In fact, Feng Shui is not a cure all. The key sucess factor of an already built up home is difficult to say: For example: a home is likecar. Some are lucky to have an unpolished gem and after a proper Feng Shui audit (e.g. wealth stars are at the good locations and these can be tapped). Unfortunately, some homes are like 13 year old run down 1,000 cc car. No matter how much one does to the home; one cannot pretend that after doing a Feng Shui audit the home becomes a mercedes benz or a bmw car. But honestly, the way you are trying to doing Feng Shui is like a "vicious cycle" as you are not even applying proper Flying Star (none at all) and Eight house etc... You are applying really rudimentary "trial and error" Feng Shui - and sometimes it is like "never ever going to know what is wrong". And as I had mentioned financial luck does not merely depend on just Feng Shui of your bedroom alone. Most likely your home has at least 3 major wealth leaks and perhaps your bedroom is just one of the minor wealth leak! Not to say a major wealth leak. DIY is an uphill task, so Good Luck!

The following questions should be considered:- 1. Does you home (room) revolve only around your bedroom? If you only rent or "own" the confines of just this bedroom; 1.1 frankly, it is so much harder to boost your Feng Shui luck from just one tiny little bedroom. 1.2 Thus success in Feng Shui cannot be just based on just moving your bed from one side of the room to another etc.... 1.3 So long as there is an "opening" be it having one's legs face an open window or open door; this is not good - considered inauspicious - much like a coffin position. Vicious cycle of not knowing what is wrong:- 2. Feng Shui is not only about moving your bed or activating something in a tiny bedroom. 3. Feng Shui is about: location, location and location. The external landform, site, building and your home. 4. For landed properties: key success factors include where is the drainage out of the home, the facing direction of your home etc... 5. Thus, in order to be successful in seeing results based on Feng Shui: it has to be a holistic approach not just zoom in into say a bedroom etc.... 6. Proper application of holistic Feng Shui: will often yield positive results. Haphazrd or random "hit and run" type of Feng Shui as what you have mentioned will often come to nought (zero). Conclusion: 7. If you really want to properly apply Feng Shui: it is unfortunately a daunting uphill task for the lay person. That is why, many have to pay for expert help. 8. It is like ebony or ivory: DIY or Hire : no if's or but's.

Please note that if you are considering full moon days: 1st or the 15th lunar days of each month, then traditionally, this is an acceptable day. For example, these are the days most devout buddhists abstain from meat and the Kuan Yin temple is the most busiest period. If you comfortable with the dates as told by your elders or someone, then go ahead with it. Please note that this is a free general advice and what you are asking is not under free general advice.
