In my opinion, these are some of the considerations: 1. Currently at this stage, it is anyone's guess whether it is good or bad. 2. As Feng Shui has it's tools to analyse such things. 3. Thus your statement is currently a question-mark. 4.You may choose to do nothing; and there are no major issues; if it ain't broken don't fix it.

Frankly, as Rome was not built in a day; D.I.Y. (do it yourself)Feng Shui is equally no one-night stand type of thing. If Feng Shui or fung sway is so easy.. then it would not be fung seoway already. If you are up to studying or understanding Feng Shui, you really need to... spent lots of effort learning it... Cheers!

1. In my opinion, although not common; but have come across such a situation. 2. There were also geomancers that ask their clients to literally place the bed-head against a fullwindow as they were applying Eight House Feng Shui. 2.1. What you mentioned has more to do with pschology then anything else. Some people may feel uneasy or feel unsecure as they may feel that someone may be peeping into their bedroom - even when the entire windows are opaque. 3. Froma Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, your bed-head is still against a solid wall - good or OK. 4. Furthermore; in a sense; more light can pass thru that specific bedroom. If it is not direct sunlight; e.g. light filtering in is good.

These are some considerations:- 1. In my opinion, your question is like ebony and ivory: 20 year or annual (full stop). 2. There are a-lot of considerations even if one wants to say which is more powerful. 3. As mentioned under Para 2, there are indeed ALOT of other considerations. Thus for annual or annual cures, it depends on individual homes and the result may not be similar for every Tom, Dick or Harry. Other factors include: Heaven luck, man or human luck factors, philantrophy, education da da da .de de de da da... 3.1. In theory, of course, based on the most timely stars, logically, an academic would claim that annual is "more powerful". Even so, this is considered short term as it is 1 year or LESS. After that KAPUT! 4. Location, location and location. There are many people who have not even heard of such thing as Flying stars or even the annual stars. Yet, they have good Feng Shui. 5. Geomancers if we continously tout annual stars are "more powerful" would be filthy rich! 5.1. Just imagine, every year, I have 500 more clients. And just 10 percent take up my annual service; on top of existing clients... 5.2. In my opinion, for every new 1,000 clients; only 15 or less may consider an annual review. So "how powerful is the annual assessment if few take up such a service". They may DIY, but very few would do it religiously year after year. 6. Go check how a geomancer uses the 20 year flying star to balance a home. 7. Like I mentioned, results of say using the annual star may not be the same for everyone. One simple example is: some homes have excellent Flying stars while others have what we call many sectors scattered with bad stars all over. 8. In conclusion: IT DEPENDS!

These are some of the considerations: 1. Besides the stove directly facing the kitchen entrance; does it face e.g. the main entrance door or a bedroom door? (It is also inauspicious if it faces an altar) 2. If the stove faces the kitchen entrance ONLY; and for practical reasons, one cannot relocate the stove; then; at least this is not as bad as above Para 1. 3. Thus, what could be worse especially with Para 1. 4. Frankly, for practical reasons, most of us don't always open and close the kitchen door on a daily basis. 5. Furthermore, in a proper Feng Shui audit, the ba zi of the female of the house is looked at in relation to the position of the stove. And sometimes relocating the stove could inadvertently place it at an inauspicious location/direction.

Ask any billionaires and many still live in the same home where they prospered. Unfortunately, many call themselves millionaires but literally, all their money is borrowed from the bank and many even have their homes mortgaged. Billionaires don't change their desk positions seasonally. So, do you want to follow the filthy rich or the DOGS?

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Even for highly successful companies; how often in reality the boss changes his/her seating positing within their room? 2. You see, contrary to (some) hazy belief; if the boss does not change their seating positing or have you seen a boss table on a rotating floor? Yes or No? 3. Next year, instead of you the individual; the sector to be-careful off is the East direction. As this happens to be the location of Tai Sui (Grand Duke) and coincidentally the Five Yellow (misfortune cum sickness) sector. For many so long as one does: "Touch" or "Disturb" that sector is good enough. 4. In the army we have the top brass (Officers) and the grass (ordinary solidiers). And frankly, there is no widespread top brass level people moving their tables and chairs, yearly. 5. Nowadays, I just shake my head... people never did this in the past, and "you" come along and set a new precedence. Usually, I have only this to say " too bloody free and nothing better to do is it?" 6. For example, go take a look at all the cabinet ministers, big bosses; go ask them: do you change your desk position every year. Most likely you will get this comment: Hey you sao (crazy) already or not? 7. Please either do something more productive with your life or simply don't do anything is even better than changing the direction of your table. The biggest joke could be having one's table to the back of the room (if one has a private office room at all).

Dear Anon & Emily, 1. Certainly, this is one of the most debated topics in Feng Shui. 2. To help address this issue, I want to cover several key points so that by the end, everyone has a clearer understanding. 3. It’s important to understand concepts such as: 3.1 Facing and sitting directions 3.2 The "Mouth of the House" 4. These two concepts are closely related. 5. In most cases, the main entrance of a landed property is considered the "mouth of the house" because it faces the frontage. This is usually the door we first see and enter when approaching the home from the road. 6. However, some landed properties have their main entrance located on the side of the house. For example, after entering the property, the main door may be situated on the side. If a row of houses shares this same side entrance, or if the main door directly faces another property nearby, it's better not to use this door as the main entrance. Instead, it’s recommended to identify the true frontage of the home. This is similar to certain apartments we may have visited or lived in. 7. The entrance to the house is important in Feng Shui, as it is believed to be the point where positive energy, or Qi, enters and influences the overall atmosphere inside. 8. On a piece of land, the main entrance is often called the "mouth of the house." However, it’s the combination of the main entrance and features like windows at the front that help determine the facing direction. 9. The facing direction is the way from which most air, or Qi, enters the house. You can think of it like sitting in a convertible—with the air flowing towards your face. This main flow of Qi helps us identify the facing direction, which is the central idea behind facing and the mouth of the house. 10. Once you determine the facing direction, it’s easy to identify the sitting direction, as it is directly opposite the facing direction. Continued under Part II... Warmest Regards, Cecil +++ Summary The concepts of "facing and sitting directions" and the "mouth of the house" are central in Feng Shui, determining how positive energy (Qi) flows into a home, with the main entrance playing a crucial role in identifying these directions for optimal harmony. Key Takeaways - The main entrance, often called the "mouth of the house," is key to how Qi enters and influences the home's atmosphere. - Correctly identifying the true frontage is important, especially if the main door is on the side or faces another property closely. - The facing direction is where most Qi enters, and once established, the sitting direction is directly opposite. - These concepts are closely connected and fundamental to proper Feng Shui practice.

Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. In the past, I mentioned, just imagine; you have a family of 8 adults and teenagers. 2. If you own a saloon car which may seat a maximium of 5 persons, tell me, how are you going to squeeze another 3 more family members into this saloon car? 3. Eight House theory is similar to this situation: Either you can or cannot. 4. Like the British always say: Bloody hell, then get yourself a large MPV that can seat 8 persons (full stop). 5. You can't just tie one family member on the roof, another stuffed into the bonnet and drag another family member right?

1. Check outthis link: The Three-Step-Approach 2. One must have a clear understanding of a specific concept. 3. For example, you are looking at the Eight House concept (Four Good/ Four Bad). 4. Even if you want to apply any concept; one must understand what is it's specific purpose and it's limitations. 5. For example, under this concept, even you bang your head against a wall; this concept has NO cure unless say the toilet is not there! Even ifone bangs one head and blood ooze out or even go into a coma, no use. 6. It is best to getall your facts correct else mightgo forPara 5. 7. I have mentioned many times, you may have toconsider The Concept of Maximizing MarksINSTEAD.

These are some of the considerations:- 1. A little knowledge or information is a dangerous thing. 2. One cannot eat and sleep on Flying Star alone. 3. Location, location, location. 4. It is fool hardy to post such a question and "demand" and answer like: WHY? 5. Don't you think that stating just a few lines and then imagine an answer just pops UP or OUT. 6. Do you know that an important ingredient missing here is things like what is the external picture like: many factors like, neighbours, frontage etc... 7. In the past, I mentioned that it is like; you barging into a doctors office and demand an answer! Just imagine, you did not go to the Triage which will investigate and even take x-ray photos etc... Do you know what the doctor will say if you do such things: GET OUT OF MY OFFICE! And go thru the proper channels! http://forum.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triage

These are some considerations: 1. As you had mentioned, the oak tree is not in your property. 2. However, it becomes a threat only when e.g. standing inside the home (at an opening) e.g. such as an open window and /or main door and if one can see the trunk of the oak tree slicing towards such openings then this is considered as a poison arrow or sha qi. Thus this is considered as a threat. 3. The concept that if it cannot be seen, it no longer becomes a threat applies. Thus simple things like installing a blind or a day curtain may help to "blur" out the offending "object". 4. One of the "secret" weapons in Feng Shui are birds chirping around. Thus, some trees help to attract birds. 5. Another consideration is that a large tree often casts a huge shadow below the tree. And in land scare countries; like Singapore, where some homes have a small compound, such a huge tree makes the home look very yin or dark. And often it can pose a nuisance to neighbours as the tree sometimes extend towards neighbour's homes.

These are some of the considerations based on belief and symbolism:- 1. Only display the standard set of three. 2. If your replacement set is identical; then you can always throw away the other two and safe keep (in a store room or cabinet) the remaining one. 3. So far, I have yet to see someone display more than the required set of three.

In my opinion, majority of the home especially the frontage and main body of the site is rectangular in shape; this is a plus point. From a Feng Shui point of view; a home built on this plot of land may not be an issue; and if Feng Shui guidlines are used, more the better. Critical considerations are the drainage out of the property and any other poison arrow(s) in the present or future from things like lamp posts; neighbour's pointed roofs etc...

These are some of the considerations:- 1. British English terms:- Ground Floor or First STOREY 2nd Floor or 2nd STOREY etc.. 2. Some architectural firms use US naming convention:- 1st Floor = Ground Floor 2nd Floor = 1st Floor (US uses FLOORs while UK traditionally USED to use STOREY.. perhaps, this has being "contaminated" by US language.) For example, UK uses flat. While US calls it apartment. 3. Thus in your case, since your country is Britain; then :- Ground Floor = 1st Storey and so on.. 4. From what I understand from you:- GROUND FLOOR (1st storey) = #01-xxx 1ST FLOOR (2nd storey) = #02-xxx etc....

In my opinion, I really don't know where is the frontage of the property. It could be in the area marked as M.2269 or along the "Jalan" or road. Please see attachment. Anyway, it also depends on the external and internal layout plan / profile of a home. With such a property, it is best to maximize and/or reduce sha qi when building on such a plot of land.

A nice flowing curvy home: Design takes precedence over other factors. Simply "a designer. This brings me fond memories of the 1950's and 1960's type of out-of-the box smooth flowing design. P.S. Location of home: Eastern Part of Singapore : in Siglap area.

Please see this sample: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=28425&new= So sorry, I prefer to see a snapshot of something like this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/googlemap.jpg Just glancing at your sketch with something like a black arrow and a red arrow.. no notation on it etc.. and really flat 2D and with lines of texts ... unfortunately is a turn-off.

Sorry, I looked at the 2D layout plan(s); open the file, closed it, roughly scan thru the words... I am afraid, I still can't fully comprehen this flat sketch. Although effort has been done.. but it is really hazy...

1. If you have the time you can read thru this article written by my colleague Robert Lee:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= MANY VARIATIONS IN THE SAME CONCEPTS In almost all concepts, there are numerous variations in concepts and techiques by many different masters depending on which concepts or calendar format he/she has learnt from. So much so that even the same concept, you will find different variations such masters using different calendar system. Even for masters with the same calendar system, they also each have some variation in how they interpret the analysis results. There are also varying degree of how accurate the analysis is done which also affects the results. This is why, for the same home, depending on all these factors, you can have 3 different masters with different interpretations. So unfortunately, this makes it even more confusing for a feng shui newbie. It is unfortunate, but this is bound to happen. The reasons is because of the different concepts and different calendar system adopted. So normally, it is best to with the master that you trust. It is unwise to seek bits of analysis from here and there and attempt to put it together yourself. As there are different variations, you won't know if they will work well together or not. HOW DIFFERENT CALENDAR SYSTEM AFFECTS THE BA ZI CHART Various variation of Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny or Four Pillars) Analysis Generally, if you use a common calendar format for the entire ba zi chart, you cannot be faulted. This is because the analysis will be correct when you relate the different pillars in the same calendar format. Such as the year to the month pillar or the month to the day pillar. However, it will be wrong if two different calendar format are mixed and you try to relate the pillars together. A) Ba ZI WITH FULL CHINESE LUNAR CALENDAR A ba zi chart done with Full Chinese Lunar Calendar will look like this:- Chinese Lunar Calendar Ba Zi Year: Ji-Chou (Ox) - (Lunar Calendar Year) Month: Bing-Yin - (Lunar Calendar Month) Day: Xin-Wei - (Lunar Calendar Day) B) BA ZI WITH FULL SEASONAL CALENDAR (XIA/H'SIA) A ba zi chart done with Full Seasonal Calendar will look like this:- Seasonal Calendar Ba Zi Year: Wu-Zi (Rat) - (Seasonal Calendar Year) Month: Yi-Chou - (Seasonal Calendar Month) Day: Xin-Wei - (Seasonal Calendar Day) C) BA ZI WITH MIXED LUNAR & SEASONAL CALENDAR A ba zi chart done with mixed Lunar & Seasonal Calendar will look like this:- Mixed Lunar & Seasonal Ba Zi Year: Ji-Chou (Ox) - (Lunar Calendar Year) Month: Yi-Chou - (Seasonal Calendar Month) Day: Xin-Wei - (Lunar Calendar Day) Basically, both a) Ba zi with Full Chinese Lunar Calendar or b) Ba Zi with Full Seasonal Calendar are both technically correct as they both will use one consistent calendar format for the full chart. c) Ba Zi with mixed lunar & seasonal Calendar is however INCORRECT. There are some websites which will generate the Ba zi with Mixed Lunar Calendar & Seasonal Calendar which is NOT correct. It is absolutely wrong to mixed the calendar format. This is like comparing an Apple to an Orange. How can you have a chart that is showing the day and year in Lunar calendar and month in Seasonal Calendar. 2.Yes, most likely one of your Geomancer(s) have misread your ba zi. Thisis very common, if you go thru the details of the above link and article. 3.The saying goes: Caveat Emptor! Let the buyer, beware! 4. Andyou are notgoing to be the last person to getinto such a situation:- 4.1. To minimize such things; always do due diligence when selecting a Geomancer. 4.2. Often, the best way is thru a reputable site or recommendations from friends.Nothing beats, this!
