1. This is a "simple" test of whether a home is considered "attacked" at a T-Junction. 2. Please see attachments:- 2.1. Attachment 1: 2.1.1 Attachment 1 shows House 1 and House 2. 2.1.2 In addition, the next question asked is which country are we in? For Commonwealth countries like: Singapore, Malaysia, England, Australia, cars are all RIGHT-HAND DRIVE. 2.1.3 The simple test is just imagine an unfortunate accident occurs where a runaway Toyota car runs amok and ploughs a straight path from marking in RED A to B. If there is an opening such as a main door or windows, then it is considered a threat (T-junction threat) towards the home. 2.1.4 For a Right-handed drive country, HOUSE 1 would be affected by the T-junction. 3. What happens if the runaway Toyota (whatever model) car ploughs a house but ends up into a void; then this is not considered a house "attacked" by a T-junction. 4. Hopefully, I got the illustration correct for Iluustration 2: a country with cars on the left-hand drive. In such a situation; House 2 may or could be the home "attacked" by the T-junction.

These are some considerations: 1.Left-hand or Right-Hand drive (country). If your country is of the Left-hand drive, then definitely it is not considered at a T-Junction. Even if the road is of the Right-hand drive; based on the top-view, hardly if ever any "car" could plough into the home. For a home at a T-junction, the best way to visualise is when weare driving a car and leave the steering in a straight-line; where would the car hit?Ina Left-hand drive, I forsee no issue. 2. Thus, in my opinion, there is no concern, here. 3. In fact, there are worse off situations. For example, take a glimpse at this Malaysian Johor Bahru project. Some units are directlyfacing a T-junction some; where the windows may face it. And as Malaysia is a "Right-handed"(car) country, cars are on the left side and we use this to imagine the routethe car travels (in a straight) line..

These are some interesting links on the reversal of the earth's magnetic field. Although it may not happen sometime in the near future, at least... one day... when it happens; for Feng Shui practitioners (if earth still exists); Will have to first depend on the Shapes and Forms.. while a wide ranging debate much "worse" than the one that had happened in the 1990's where some AustralianGeomancers had the "wrong" idea that Flying star charts should be reversed just becauseof the experiment of "draining" the sink and water vortex is directly opposite that of the northern hemisphere... http://www.geomag.bgs.ac.uk/reversals.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomagnetic_reversal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth's_magnetic_field

These are additional academic considerations:- 1. In the past, when a site was chosen be it to build a new city or ancestral tomb for the Ming and Ching emperors; and even the use of the pagoda to tame underground water. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is used. And not Flying Star. 2. Even today, when I work on vast amounts of hectares of new towns for an developingAsean country, Shapes and Forms is the main consideration i.e. the flow of the river(s) and construction of new roads and future subways etc.. 3. The idea is that if the Shapes and Forms is poor; imagine applying Flying Star to say the four walls of a building is just like trying to squeeze as much luck as possible. Worse; even if one pathe the four walls in gold; and outside is crumbling.. what is the chance of a recovery or breakeven senario? 4. Although Flying Star is based on timely stars; how often can we demolish an entire city ... the only time mankind did it was in 2nd world war.. where Germany got flatten... and rebuilt. And as we all know: two atomic bombs flatten the two cities in Japan. Only in such a situation... we can start from scratch. Else many buildings and roads are pretty much the same. 5. Scientist have actually studied the polarity of the earth magnetic field. And from core samples; they had found that the magnetic North-South had flipped many times in the past 4 billion years. 6. The current good news is that within your lifetime and mine, it is not about to change as yet. But if I am not mistaken 10,000 years. would be a possible change. 7. As Flying Star and Eight House is based on one and the same Compass School of Feng Shui... it would mean going back to the drawing board for those who may be practising Feng Shui 10,000 years from now. 8. Or if the human kind is still in existence then. Hopefully, there are less Black Feng Shui being practised. In Singapore, black Feng Shui is often practised by "foreign talent" Geomancers who have nothing to lose but all the more to gain for their "employees" by suggesting buildings that use "black Feng Shui". For example, there are several of such buildings within the Central Business District of Singapore.

These are the considerations for the placement of a cannon:- 1. First ingredient is that if or where ever possible; it should be placed outside of the home and facing away from the home. 2. Usually, it is placed as both a defensive and offensive nature. In a defensive situation; it is placed facing directly towards a sha qi. 3. As a last resort, it could be placed in the home. BUT, usually, if possible placed on a higher ground e.g. on a cabinet + must be facing outwards e.g. of or thru a window. 4. It can be placed facing a T-junction; thick tree trunk, power structures, neighbouring development construction crane, mrt tracks if it slices thru the home. 5. Frankly, do take extra care when placing one too many of such cannons especially if the facing building DOES NOT pose a (physical brick and mortar)threat to your home. 6. Some homes do not have a fence. If so, it can be placed on the ground. But if a fence or if there is some kind of an obstruction; then it is mounted at the highest point: 7. The Hong Kong Shanghai Bank (HSBC) building in Hong Kong 8. In the past, Feng Shui principles was used to determine a good site for the HSBC building. In general, the idea was that the HSBC building must have a direct view of the sea. 8.1. When the Bank of China - Hong Kong building was built; it was felt that this building is symbolic of a sword slicing towards the HSBC building. 8.2. HSBC building decided to place a pair of cannons facing towards Bank of China building. 9. Thus actually, the cannons were used as a defence both to neutralise the Bank of China building and "create" a blocked view of the Victoria harbour.

1. Under Chinese culture, it is considered not goodto have a straightwalking-path. As it is believed that spirits go in a straight-line and curved or zig-zag paths are a no no for them. 2. This is why, there is always a zig-zag path leading towards a pavillion. 3. In this picture, we notice a straight public path. However, it was tiled to give an illusion of a wavy path. 4. There is a popular Malay saying "If you can't bring Mohammad to the mountain bring the mountain to Mohammad?" 5. Here, if one cannot curve the path, one curve the tiles....

These are some considerations:- 1. A good water feature should have all five elments in place. Source: http://fountain.geomancy.net Para 2.1. to 2.12 Kevin K. wrote: 4. Do we still place the water fountain? Kevin 2. First time I have heard this statement: "still place the water fountain?". This implies shut-down of a water feature and/or moving it away. Then what, next year check whether to place it back again. 3. So long as this is the "frontage" of a home; this firstly has a higher weightage for "clear space" and "bright hall" effect. And since there is a 20 Year double #8; and considered double auspicious #8's there is not much of a concern. 4. In the first place, have anyone seen a moveable water feature at the frontage of a home... e.g. on wheels or tracks that can move about? Yes or No? 5. With #3 at the frontage; just make sure that you should make an effort to turn on the lights at the water feature. In Singapore; a reasonable time is between 7.30pm to say 10.30pm (or follow roughly what many condo lighting e.g. at pool side does). 6. Alternatively, if there are too many frontage at the home; then depending on the layout plan ... e.g. energy saving led light can be turned on. 7. Here, the most effective is the use of "fire" to burn #3. 8. For the Chinese even better. Some even place a red banner above their main door. This is an option for those non-Christians or more typical buddhist families. I am not asking you to do that. But this is another consideration or alternative. 9. Frankly, a proper water feature with all the five elements in place will do. 10. I had mentioned; in the past; in the 1980's it is a decade of picking up plenty of Feng Shui books that list out dozens of things to enhance the home. 11. Today, concern with thingslike three killings is behind my seat..scare some of us.What to do with Tai Sui as I am facing Tai Sui this year at my work.. what to do? 12 If it was ever meant for a water feature to be on wheels or tracks; it would been documented in ancient times. I wonder, where is the documentation that our forefathers made to move water feature or have the means for an entire say home infrastracture with tracks all around the home.

Further to what I had mentioned: 1. Many donkey years ago as far back as 1997 in this forum; I mentioned the two major Feng Shui schools: 1.1. The Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 1.2. The Flying Star Feng Shui 2. I am a strong believer that between both Schools; the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has a higher weightage. 3. Why? 3.1 In theory; and in general, we can live "WITHOUT" the Flying star Feng Shui but not the opposite. 3.2 In this case, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is the oldest form of Feng Shui. 3.3As we all know today, all of uscan be associated byleaning more to either Left or Right brain. I don't need to elaborate on this area. 4. For example; for those fluent with Shapes and Forms, it comes naturally. Andin general we can say that Flying Star helps to compensate those who are not that "Shapes and Forms" type of a guy. 5. Under Shapes and Forms.. if I tell you that there is a "dragon" qi at one place... theFlying Star guy may not understand.. unless he/she plots a mathematical model and "presto" ... he understand numbers. 6. In the past, I mentioned; some of us end up being soexcited by Flying Star that they end up eating and drinking Flying starFeng Shui. This is equivalent to a"myopic' view! 7. For example, withthis question. The main clue from the questionis a water feature at the frontage of the home. 7.1 Automatically, if we open our minds wider and understand this is the frontage; all the Shapes and Forms concepts with regards to this would weigh in ... with our decision. Feng Shui is about qi flow. And an open space usually at the frontage is an added advantage (bright hall). 7.2 Not this idea of the year being #3. If we want to talk about the year being #3. Then why not the month with #3? or Hour with #3. 7.3 The other clue I mentioned is have anyone seen a water feature on rollers or tracks? 8. The morale of the story: "Don't just eat and sleep on Flying Star as if it is the only do or die concept in Feng Shui". 9. In summary; there are many lousy practitioners out there.. as unfortunately, they breathe, eat spat out Flying star only... If I am given a choice of hiring someone.. in the field of Feng Shui.. guess who will get the job and who will be booted out...

More advance points: 1. Shapes and Forms can live in isolation. For example, it can work on it's own with or without Flying Star. 2. But Flying Star Feng Shui has to co-exist with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 3. Why? 3.1 Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; there is such thing as superior Feng Shui or earth luck. For example; check out "Quantum Leap" in Feng Shui. 3.2 When we look at a Flying star chart; we have to visualise another "layer" .. how does qi move (meander) in an interior. 3.3 For example, under Flying Star, sometimes an actual room can come within two Flying Star Sectors. 3.4. And for practical reasons, sometimes we are not sure which sector stars to use. As in many instances, they are so different. 3.5. Then what? 3.5.1Flip a coin to make a decision? Heads use this sector instead of the other or vice versa? 4.When we look at aFlying Star chart, an experienced Geomancer would visualise where are the windows and other openings in the room and select the best sector stars based on such considerations. 5. And when we visualise qi flow this is abstract and weights heavily on the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 6. Thus this is a "working" example ofhow and why:Shapes and Forms can live without Flying Star but not the other way around. 7. Well, I don't meant that Flying Star is lousy or should be replaced totally by Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. It is still an excellent tool if used in-conjunction or correctly. 8. Again, like our no-brainer education system.. it is no point.. memorising and getting a perfect score under Flying Star Feng Shui e.g. perfect honours degree in the Five Elements concept... but when it comes to real life.. cannot even beat a non-graduate the likes of Sim Wong Hoo at the start of his career (not now)... 9. Even under Flying Star; lots of talk on:- 9.1. Best to lock-up the stars... 9.2. Good to open the windows to allow good Flying Star qi to flow into the home 9.3. After a rain fall, good to open all windows of the home... 10. When we talk of such things it is about qi flow (Shapes and Forms) Feng Shui.

1. Please be careful. There is no known crystal or stones that have such magic powers. 2. Maybe, we should not be reading too many Superman cartoons of kryptonite and it's effect on him. 3. In Singapore, many people were conned into buying a "magic" stone which claims to be able to cure cancer and other ailments. These victims learned the hard way with their hard earned money. 4. Cavet Emptor! Let the buyer, beware! 5. Remember: Charity begins at home. Might as well keep the money for a rainy day or bring family members for a sunday lunch treat! Why should we line the pockets of con-persons with our hard earned money. 6. Shhhhhh! Let you in on a secret... the Mother of all Holy Grail of the most fantastic Feng Shui item: the very special Feng Shui ring can be found under this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=27491&new= Remember the powers of the Feng Shui Ring is beyond comprehension! Keep this a secret! You and Me! BTW, it's free, you can print it out and take it with you! 7. The saying goes " a sucker is born every minute - Yes, you! Hahahaha!"

These are some considerations:- 1. Building code Especially for Office (include retail)cum Home Office usually public buildings; majority of the door has to swing outwards. (Some can swing both inwards and outwards). 2. For most homes One should differentiate between grille gate and door. In the west, it is not the "storm door" or the door where some have netting but rather the "inner" door. Alternatively, or logically, the main door is often the door where the house number is - on it. 3. If you are referring to some kind of a gate attached your main door, naturally, this portion has to swing outwards. BUT the door (usually wooden) door should NICE-to have swing inwards. 4. Where possible, at the back of the home; if one has a door, it should again swing inwards. Some homes do not have a back door but grille gate. Then there is no issue with it swinging outwards as this is not a door. 5. In Singapore, it is very easy to understand what is a door. Majority of such doors in Singapore are 1/2 hour fire rated. 6. I am not asking to light up the door and check which burns fast or which does not burn fast. 7. Anyway, as I had mentioned previously, it takes more than one "leak" to cause issues for a home.

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Please see attachment: Markings in RED "A" and "B"of the river. There is a vast difference between the river flow from A to B or B to A majority of the time. 2. The two blocks in the RED shaded areas need to be closely looked at as; in my opinion, usually, wealth in these two blocks can be plotted on a normal "Bell curve": where there will certainly be "excellent (wealth)"units and "poor or vicious cycle of the poor kind" for other units at the other end of the bell curve. While some units will not be affected. 3. The units shaded in GREEN facing the river: It will depend on whether the water flows from RED markings "A" to "B" or vice versa. 4. In my opinion these are the most affected units. 5. Another important variable is the location of the swimming pool or pool of water within the condo can sometimes "make or break" a stack in this development. 6. Those stacks (units)that are not shaded should be the least affected by the RIVER. However, do take note that these non-shaded stacks (units) are subjectedtoFlying Starmapping. 7.Please note that a development next to a river does not always means doom or gloom. As frankly, this is not the only property next to a river. But what makes it of a concern is that part of the unit e.g. in Shaded RED falls within a CURVE of a river (unlike many other developments) where it is parallel to the development and not all of it is neighoured by one side with a river. 8. Frankly, if one intends to such units; it is worth the while considering: those Can or Cannot buy services of a competent geomancer. The saying goes: smart people pre-amp and the common people; buy a home and then look at Feng Shui. In fact, it should be the other way around : for peace of mind when buying a home.

1. As I mentioned earlier, sometimes we look at a picture and only see a single image. 2. For example, in many cases, people may think of something as a missing corner, when in fact the sector should actually be seen as a protrusion. 3. In this situation, there is a potential issue known as "Sha Qi," which means poison arrow. 4. Fortunately, there is a significant distance between the area marked in purple, from C to D. For condos and even lower-ceiling HDBs, this means the "poison arrow" effect is negligible because the distance is quite large. 5. Please see the attachment.

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Appreciate if you can re-read the link(s) that I had posted with regards to your question. 2. Please see attachment. In fact one of the links shows clearly what is a BEAM and what is really not a beam. 3. For example, in this attachment, see markings in RED: A to B. One of the links has a similar example. And I have mentioned .... read up the link... 4. It has more to do with the "mind". Unfortunately, if more than one person comments that they feel that this is bad... then... auto-suggestion takes place. 5. If one still feels that it is a threat; do make an effort to use the SEARCH feature. CLUE: There are at least more than three cures or to me; activating one of these cures is equivalent to "psuedo" cure(s)... akin to taking sugar coated pill.

1. This forum vets all forum messages. 2. Why is it that my message does not appear to the public? 2.1. There are many reasons for this: 2.2. Such questions are too common that a SEARCH under this forum will yield many pages of the same type of resource. 2.3. Questions that seems simple enough but needs time and effort. 2.4. Questions that furnish: Date of Birth and/or copy-paste Free Flying Star chart ... now help me! 2.5. Furnishing raw dataand link to a 2D map and asking..How is the Feng Shui of this house.. 2.6. Please remember that this isonly a Free GENERAL Advice Forum. And it means what it is: Free. Paid Services are available anywhere. If you need such services; do get help from anyone -certainly not restricted to this site. 3. With our busy schedule, need to balance the quality of questions posted vs what is already available in this forum that extends to resources as far back as 1998 or later. 4. Apologies, if your forum message never gets posted to public view or after a while; not replied for one reason or the other. No hard feelings, here. 5. If you want quick answers; often the resource would have been discussed many timesin this forum - just that you had overlooked it. 6. Use the SEARCH feature on the TOP Left hand frame of this forum especially the default setting [x] Forum Message Only. 7. Google indexes this forums resources daily. In fact, intuitive keying in of a more detailed search phrase will often yield what you are looking for! 8. Life does not give a reason: " Thus, if your message never gets replied; don't despair nor get angry with me... what for.. get angry with an"old man" like me.. someone who is 50 years old and by the national average;I only have another20 odd years left! Thus, I may look young but all my internal organs are not what they were when I was #16 years old! " 9. Good Luck!

1. Further to what I had mentioned; other than for off-topic (out of topic) subjects such as posting that is beyond the Free GENERAL advise; 2. There is a higher chance for postings that have pictures or illustrations to be answered. 3. In life, although it is not as serious as applying for a job... How does one get noticed thru one's Resume? 4. Ask any Human Resource person and they will tell you to make an effort to work on your Resume. 5. For example, when I scan (not read) your latest posting... I closed it within 30 seconds... 6. The hokkien dialect phrase for my experience is " Lia Bo Kew" = means "cannot comprehen what was said". "Too chiam (too blurr) "....

I read, looked at my illustration A and then... like my mouth was wide opened... perhaps quite late or too tired... just can't or mind won't try to undersand what you wrote. Considerations When Moving House, Office, or Building: 1. These guidelines apply when relocating a home, office, or building. 2. If you are moving from an existing property to a new one, there are a few scenarios to consider: 2.1. Both the old and new locations have a swimming pool and a water feature. 2.2. Both have only a swimming pool. 2.3. Both have only a water feature. 3. In these situations, Feng Shui symbolism suggests that it is beneficial to collect water from the old location (for example, in 1.5-litre bottles) and transfer it to the new property. This act is considered an auspicious gesture to carry forward positive energy. 4. For instance, you can collect water from the swimming pool at your old home and pour it into the pool at your new home. --- This structure ensures clarity and highlights the practical steps involved, while maintaining the intended meaning and Feng Shui significance.

1. To be frank, I have the latest Suunto solid aluminium compass set for Region 3 (Singapore and the equator). 2. But still; one major flaw is that whenever I am in a building with lots of steel rods for support (look at it this way: all modern high-rise uses re-inforced steel for building support!) 3. Surprisingly, such a low technology or LOW TECH brass compass is my saviour ... when I am deep in a large building that has odd shaped floor space and entrances much like those mega or hype buildings. 4. Many industrial buidlings have even more steel in their structures to support the higher Per Newton Kilo load. 5. This attached brass compass which I bought at a cheap sale for only Singapore $20 dollars (roughly US $16 dollars) can do a better job than my latest solid aluminium Suunto compass that I had bought for around Singapore $260 or roughly US $190 odd plus)... 6. I suspect that the key to this low tech but highly accurate compass has to do with the around 10 mm or more thickness of the diameter rim and the base. Thus it is pretty heavy on all accounts. What a great discovery! 7.1 What happens if we stand in the middle of a lift lobby e.g. equally between four sets of lifts (two in-front two at the back). 7.2 Take a compass reading and check it out! How about standing in a building with two lifts only. And again stand in the middle of the two lifts to take a compass reading. 7.3 Is the compass reading accurate? Match the findings from the protractor + streetdirectory maps? Go experiment and find out yourself...

1. In many of the attached examples; especially for new or (newer) condominiums; use their sitemap in-conjunction with their interior layout plans. 2. In fact, this is nothing really new. This is how many of us in Singapore purchase a condominium unit or even a new HDB unit from the Sales Brochure. 3. In common is the compass NORTH marking on each of the sitemap. 4. For older condominums, there is hope. For example, I have the sitemap of Castle Green condomium. 4.1 And surprisingly, if one does not have such a sitemap; just look at the quality of the streetdirectory map of this condominum using the SLA licensed maps:- 4.2 http://www.rednano.sg/sfe/allsearch.action?allsearch=true&view=map&querystring=castle+green For example: this is the "ultimate confirmation" using the Castle green's actual sitemap with interior plan with Rednano.sg's streetdirectory map"-http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/Confirm%20Castle%20Green.pdf 4.3 If you scroll on this map, lower down the map one can find the Nuovo condo. The details of each block is equally clear. 4.4 From this same link (from above) Scroll to the left is the Seasons Park condo. 5. There is only example in this attachment: confirm-stack-unit-with-site.jpg 6. In conclusion: 6.1. So long as we can determine where is the NORTH compass marking in relation to the Block then the stack (unit).. this is the first step. 6.2. Always check whether the layout plan is: actual or a mirror image of the layout plan. Some sales brochures don't list all units as actual. Some units need to be "mirrored" to be correct. 7. As you can see in all the attachments except for under Para 5 confirm-stack-unit-with-site.jpg; the key success factor is a match of the siteplan with the interior layout plan. 8. With a proper match of the interior layout plan and if possible additional confirmation with the street directory (view) especially for existing flats or homes; this is a plus or added advantage. 9. Level of Difficulty of this asignment? A US fifth grade or British standard Primary 5 and above child should be able to use a protractor and simple guidelines in most situations except to ask them to determine the facing direction.
-
1. Further to what I had mentioned; especially for landed properties; the best map to use to find out exactly the facing direction is the Singapore Land Authority SLA licenced maps. 2. For example, http://rednano.sg uses the SLA licenced maps. 3. Let's say we are searching for an address " Tu Fu Avenue ". 3.1 The Rednano.sg site will yield the street together with the outline of all houses within the vicinity of the street:- http://www.rednano.sg/sfe/allsearch.action?allsearch=true&view=map&querystring=tu+fu+avenue 3.2 With such a detailed information; just apply the protractor to find the facing direction of the home or landed property. 3.3 In Singapore, many landed properties are "back-to-back" with each other and often the facing direction is simply standing inside theproperty and taking a reading out of the main gate. 4. If we are using some other maps. For example, the streetdirectory.com maps. 5. You will find that for the same search " Tu Fu Avenue "; it only yields or showing the road and "greenery":- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_21984/travel_site_1/ 5.6 When using the streedirctory.com map, try to supplement it with the satellite view to view an outline of the home for purposes of using a protractor to take a compass reading of the facing direction:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/gps/gps.php?travel_id=21984&travel_site=1&x=369861.93561089463&y=152476.79310198128&level=13 6. For apartments, often I would do a search especially from these two sites and then determine which has a better outline of the apartment. 7. Sometimes the rednano.sg outline seems better; while at other times, the streetdirectory.com maps seems better plus if the satellite map is not covered by clouds and if it is clear.
