  1. As far as I can, I have tried my very best to give you a graphic illustration of what is : the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck! Good Luck!
  2. All Chinese are very particular about getting married on an auspicious date! In fact, 99.99% of all Chinese do check that their wedding date is auspicious (or not).... Some even placed a string on their finger "Don't forget....."
  3. Please note that:- 1. It is good to use frosted glass or sand blasted glass "side" facing the main entrance door. 2. Contrary to popular belief, a partition need not be "air-tight":- 2.1.Need not reach towards the ceiling 2.2. Some people try to avoid "four bars"or even for "strips of vertical " glass or beams. Especially the Cantonese dialect group view it as inauspicious as it represents = 4 = "death".
  4. Only good Feng Shui companies... place this signage in their stores!
  5. Ideas, can be "borrowed" or "robbed!". In this example, a creative advertising company, decided to "circulate" the same advertisements for all their clients! Makes the graphic work simple as they do not have to create new ones... As well as, they can produce the advertisements cheaper! See how the company do it, below:-
  6. To save on advertisement, this former "pills" vendor decided to change to selling Feng Shuiproducts......
  7. Many are simply content just hoping to buy commercial products to "beautify" their home. BUT forgot that there are "wealth" leaks that are more crucial and need to be fixed-first! Are you one of them?
  8. Further to what I had mentioned, I will be more concerned if it is 100 bats "flying" away as unlike birds (which is not highly regarded unless it is the stork - long life), the bats are reverered - and highly regarded. As the phonetic sound of bats is that of good fortune and often denotes happiness! And often 5 bats symbolises "five blessings" in life!
  9. 1. Frankly, this question that you had posted is relatively new, as I have yet to come across such a question. 2. Let's look at another painting. Some feel that a painting such as those famous horses, may face both ways! Some felt that horses (especially) those wild horses should be running "out of the home". To these people, they consider it good as these "wild horses" should be running "freely" instead of running into a home. While there are paintings also of even 100 or 1000 horses and some felt that they should be facing inwards (towards the home) not facing a door or a window for that matter. 3. For birds, many Chinese felt that one should not cage a bird. And there are those who felt that having a caged bird in a home is considered "inauspicious" as it is like having these birds (caged) as a prisoner at home. 4. I believe a few years back, there was this advertisement where the famous male actor (of Lady in red) for now can't recall his name used his visa card to help pay for the purchase of 100's of birds to be released by a "poor" countryside girl! 5. I would feel very happy to have such a painting of yours having the birds "released" (symbolically) throw the window! As birds (doves) are suppose to be flying freely - not caged in i.e. facing inwards into one's home! For me, this is my personal interpretation! I believe many have your own ideas! Frankly, there is no right or wrong answers, here!
  10. Have no control over how others determine your ba zi element. However, can assure you that you should be a weak metal person. There are many reasons. For example, some do not consider the House of Life and House of Conception in their analysis nor take into consideration many other factors. Thus, we don't control how others do their analysis.
  11. Frankly, under the Chinese "system", there is really no precedence on your situation. But feel free to have a "good" feeling about it
  12. What is the reason for "closing" some of the toilets & keeping opening hours for toilets? Did you get an advice from a geomancer?
  13. 2 stoves = 2 wife 4 stoves = 4 wife 6 stoves = 6 wife no stove? = no wife!
  14. Just because it looks like a wealth position, may not mean that it is indeed a water wealth position!
  15. "Rob Peter to pay who? (Paul!) "
  16. Further to what I had mentioned, even if you become the "King" of Feng Shui and try to outlaw 6 coins, what happens? 1. There will always be people selling a set of six coins tied with red string. 2. Many Feng Shui practitioners may recommend the placement of six coins, and some even asks their client(s) to place a row of six coins above the main door. As these practitioners perceive that Feng Shui has time dimensions and there is bound to be #5 or #2 or even #3 "flying" to a certain sector be it in that month, day, hour or minute. 3. In the past, when China closed it's doors to exports, what happened? Many trades person migrate overseas e.g. towards Thailand, Malaysia to set up kilns to make the famous Chinese pottery overseas! So, even if you are King or Queen and make decrees to ban "6 coins" no use! It will not work, since you may not be aware of what others may see of it. 4. Furthermore, a little knowledge is considered a dangerous thing!
  17. 1. Please note that we live in a practical world! 2. Although moving metal such as a wind chime is "GREAT" for #5! But one has to be looney or crazy to place such an item in a bedroom! 3. Thus the clue here is that although moving metal is an excellent choice! You can't simply use it for many locations! Furthermore, the most effective use of a wind chime are locations where there is wind. Although symbolically it does not move MAY be acceptable! 4. For heaven's sake, you are "practising" Feng Shui in a real world real environment! Thus, if some locations may not accept other cures, 6 coins represent = big metal. And can if necessary be used as an alternative or even used for even #3's! 5. So, it is not simply to say... "then what are the 6 coin in row used for since".. Furthermore, please be "warned" that certain combinations of #5 with #2 requires that SECTOR to be "quiet" cannot using moving metal. Thus 6 coins may be used here. 6. There are always certain items that may be used in a certain way. And just because you find it "not useful" does not mean that you are "correct". Please don't jump into premature evaluation. It is unhealthy.
  18. 1. Some Feng Shui practitioners apply the "Five Elements Concept" too religiously! 2. These are the same practitioners that often practice "one type of kindergarten" Feng Shui! That of South = Fire element, North = water element etc... 3. And many such practitioners often have a poor grasp of many of the other concepts of Feng Shui! And to these group of practitioners often, seeing that "earth" exhausts fire, they then perhaps begin to spin a story that as the kitchen is suppose to have the stove = fire, earth such as granite will harm or "exhaust" fire element! 4. Frankly, all these are superficial Feng Shui. To the educated, it does not make much sense! As another way of looking at it is that many of the items that help to control "fire" is earth e.g. and very useful products such as earthen ware to hold "hot - heat" items. 5. How often we use corning ware, earthen pots for some asians and many other "pottery" or earthen items? 6. Just because granite = earth, and earth exhauts fire means that granite is no good! 7. Furthermore, where in the world is there any proof that granite or even marble emits some form of "radiation?". In fact, granite is vastly used in many good quality homes and development especially for there good properties such as those found for kitchen tops! 8. Even my home, I have two granite stone grinders! 9. Many homes or developments come with granite flooring! 10. Furthermore, granite table top surface area is small as compared to the vast majority of kitchen wooden cabinet and /or vs the size of the kitchen. 11. The granite comes directly from our earth.. not that it came from outerspace of something like that nor is it brought over by aliens from another planet. Granite is simply a hardy earth material tempered by heat from earth's core.
  19. 1. Realistically, one of the key ideas of the Eight House or East/West Group is howsuitable the home is to the breadwinner. 2. Once you have purchased such a home, you asked a question:- "how is it possible to have my main door to face East?" You already know the answer. Not possible! It is not you can get the earthquake to shift your "west" facing home to a east facing home! For example, if you have a family of 8! You cannot be expected to purchase a saloon car that sits 4 + 1 the most! Unless you are going to tie some family members on the bonnet; leave two family members in the trunk! For goodness sake, if you have a family of 8! and need a ride! GET a large MPV! 3. The Eight House or East/West Group does not have a cure for this type of situation. You have maximize your Feng Shui luck as mentioned under this concept:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks Kah Yew C. wrote: Hi Cecil, Question 1 I'm a East Group person, with gua wood 3 chen. I thought I should live in an East Group house, preferably of the same trigram - Chen. I just bought a house built in period 8, facing W2, hence a double facing Chen house. But the house faces West, how is it possible to have my main door to face East? Question 2 The double facing house has both the ruling stars (mountain and water) in the West section. But isn't the West section the "Death" direction to a Chen person? Important sections of the house like living area and master bedroom are usually in the same section as the Main Door? I would be most grateful if you could enlighten me on this matter. Thanks. Regards, Kah Yew
  20. 1. Please check some of my past messages on this subject. 2. It has more to do with commonsense or if one calls it "Commonsense approach to Feng Shui". 3. The main concern, for example in your illustration, you have a vehicle (or car) directly below the master bedroom. Here, the concern to some is that should a vehicle catch fire, then additional flames from the fuel tank may explode. As fire rises, it may engulf the master bedroom or trap the occupants or smoke fumes get into the bedroom. 4. Even if the car does not explode, some do keep highly flammable items in the garage (where the car usually is parked). 5. In addition as you had mentioned in a quake prone area e.g. San Francisco area... hopefully because there may be less structural support, a certain category quake may just bring down that room and anything it. And hopefully, the car in the garage don't become one big barbeque stove... 6. From the above, all these has more to do with commonsense. For example, it is common to hear that we should not have a bedroom directly above a kitchen (stove). Again, there is high chance of a fire or even gas leak. 7. Nowadays, get yourself a good water sprinkler for the garage (some garage has such a requirement) and also install proper smoke detectors. And not rely on a string of 6 coins, here! The coins can melt. But at least the smoke detectors do melt but before so, they can make a hell of a lot of noise!
  21. 1. Frankly, the sum-of-ten is most effective based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 2. Where if possible, the home is as rectangular or squarish or minimal missing corners or protrusions. 3. The idea is that to benefit from a sum-of-ten, it is best to have as much open space as possible in a home vs too many partitions that restrict this sum-of-ten. Thus it has more to do with this than the numbers on the flying star!
  22. 1. The most common hulu's (bottle gourd) are either dried green hulu that are dried or turned a shade of pale pine wood colour. Alternatively the other more common one is made of brass. These hulu are more symbolic thus no need to be specially blessed or "eyes-opened". They need not necessarily need to have a cap or cover. Some believe that black hulus are meant more for "wealth" than health. 2. The pagoda has more to do with those as shown in the shows " Journey to the West". Some have a red "cherry" like droplet above the hulu (glass form). While the most common one is as you had mentioned square bottom, circle, and a sharp triangle at the top - made of brass or brass / copper coated. This pagoda - where it is a replacement of a wind chime or where locations cannot use a wind chime. Usually moving metal such a wind chime is often the better option. As such moving metal constantly "destroys" or neutralise bad earth such as #5. Ben H. wrote: Is any specific wu lou to be used to cure the #2--like it must be from brass, have 6 coin, have 8 immortal etc? Or just any wu lou can do the job? And the last question, have you heard about 5 element pagoda? I've heard that the 5 element pagoda is the best cure for #5 star--better than 6 rod metal wind chime-- because it can "capture" the star in the pagoda? Are any logical explanation? Thank you.
  23. 1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, yes, one has to be careful of angular objects particularly the "tip" especially if it faces or aimed towards a bedroom or an "opening" such as a bedroom door or the main door. 2. Otherwise, in general, it may still be acceptable to place it at common areas - should normally be ok.
  24. 1. Some say that SW is the romance sector. Thus, it was felt that hanging family photos is acceptable, here. 2. Usually when applying Flying Star Feng Shui, one can further fine tune applying paintings appropriate for that sector. Thus, if that sector has a mountain star then, a "landscape" painting or picture is acceptable. While if it is a water wealth location, then common Chinese paintings include the kok or gold fish paintings. Glass framed paintings if possible should not be hung facing a bedroom door or facing the main entrance d door. Harb S. wrote: Please tell me about hanging family/friends and chidren's and husband/wife's pictures, in which direction Single images of me and my wife, and also pictures showing both of us, and please let me know about sceneries and posters for SW, South walls. Now i'm looking to hang big glass-framed scenery/landscape on my SW wall , having staircase there. Suggest which colors and images are best?
