  1. 1. It is highly unusual for three "normal" sized rooms to straddle the north compass direction. Usually at most two rooms are affected. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1Are there any windows in these rooms? Yes/No? 2.1 Even if there are windows, are there any that are larger? 2.3 Even if we do have windows, are they opened all (most) of the time? If the window(s) are not opened, for example, seldom if ever opened, then qi will often not flow. So no issue - no need for a cure. 2.4 Are any of these rooms occupied or unoccupied? If unoccupied, or not a bedroom, then no need to place any cures. 3. If these are not bedrooms, then one may consider a wind chime strategically placed e.g. in the middle room (if there is such a room) Saudi C. wrote: the 5 yellows are in the north this year. i haev three rooms falling in north. does this mean that i woudl have to place cures for 5 yellows in all three rooms. Quote: also with 5 yellows in the north, can i have a yang water feature in the one of the rooms in the north. 4. Frankly, currently, I won't know. If you know how to draw a Flying Star chart, then you can check whether that sector benefits a water position or not. In addition, you should check whether the breadwinner's ba zi can "accept" a water feature. For example, if the breadwinner is a weak fire or a strong water person, then, unless this is a water wealth location such as water star #8 or water star #1, then better exercise caution. 5. Otherwise, without further information obtain from say the Flying Star (birth chart of the home) then, sorry you have to do Trial and error Feng Shui. 5.1 For example, in an earliermessage, the user "insists" that I tell him whether it is good to have a water feature in his home for marriage and .... ". I have given the example of modern cars. Where even you open the bonnet of the car, one cannot tell what is the problem! 5.2 For modern cars especially continental cars, you need a diagnostic computer cum software torun a diagnostic! Thus, trying to squeeze an answer is unacceptable. I really won't know. Such persons have to be reasonable. 6. In another recent forum message. Another user, wants or MUST know the answer. 6.1. Again, I had quoted another example:- The senario is like this:- This man walks into a 24 hour Accident and Emergency clinic. He immediately by-pass the triage (mursing diagnostic questions and check-up or screening by a nurse). He enters the doctors room: "Doctor, what iswrong with me?" I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??? The Doctorsaid to him "I won't know! Youdid not even go thru the screening. You are being unreasonable to ask me what is wrong with you. Without even me looking at your case file, blood tests and or x-ray information. " GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ROOM! And be reasonable! Go now.. and get a number and wait foryour turn! Quote: i have an attached living and dinign room. can i place two sets of fuk luk sau there - one in the living room part and the other in the dinign room. There is nothing magical about the Fu Lu Shou figurines. For many Chinese, they only have ONE set. And often, it is placing "facing" the owners when they sit. For example, quite often you see a set placed at the living room display cabinet ... facing one when one sees TV. For the Chinese, we do, mostly landed property owners may have ONE set of Fu Lu Shou facing the dining table. As usually more to do with it there as the wall is the furthes to the living room and this wall seems more like a "mountain support". But to have TWO sets.... hmmm.. only to say that many Chinese homes only display ONE set.
  2. 1. I never driven a Japanese car. But, all my conti cars e.g. BMW, (new ones), should there be a fault, what happens? 2. The Authorised Agent (AD), will plug in a db cable and connect it to their "CLIPs" diagnostic software. And it will flag error codes and even point out what is at fault. 3. For many of new cars, can you just open the bonnet of the car and troubleshoot the problem? When I open my BMW, I can't even recognise some of the "unusual parts". And for modern cars, be it Mercedes, Renault etc.. many AD have to depend on such a connection and software for diagnostic. 4. In Feng Shui, we use the equivalent of the Flying Star Feng Shui. And if you read my last message clearly, if it sounds Greek to you, then, too bad. 5. Here, you have to "jolly well" apply Trial and error "whatever" Feng Shui. Like the above example,I don't even know for example what is the "error" code or "acceptable" code at the sector your aquarium is. 6. Honestly, therefore, it is as good as throwing a dice 50-50? Frankly, I won't know.
  3. In my opinion, if it is a of "normal" size, home air purifier, this should not be an issue. Quote: Theresa K. wrote: Will it be alright to put a water ( air purifier) in a bedroom ? However I am not sleeping in that room.
  4. 1. Please note that this is a Free GENERAL Advice forum, and not a specific "Do it for you" type of forum. Anonymous wrote: 1)How can i place my stove, microwave, sink & washing machine & fridge? Most recent forum message(s) have some guidelines. Which can be found, here:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Kitchen_Stove_%26_More Quote: Anonymous wrote: 2) Is it true that one shld avoid placing the fridgenear the entrance of the kitchen? e.g once you enter the kitchen you will see the fridge In this case, many HDB flats and even condos and even landed property may have problems placing the fridge! Given that most kitchens have limited space, such questions are like " Easy or clever to talk" but can you find an alternative solution. It would be worse-off, if the toilet door faces the fridge! Some resources can be found, here:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Kitchen_Door_Is_Facing_A_Bathroom_Door Again, we have to be practical, it is unlike a stove or an oven facing a bedroom door. Here, it is considered not auspicious to have an oven facing the door to a person's bedroom. But for a fridge, so long as any fridge magnet does not symbolise any sword or sharp objects, a fridge is considered as a metal element. And if a home or kitchen, needs metal element, then it is better. Quote: Anonymous wrote: 2) Is ittrue that one shld avoid placing the stove below a sewarage pipe? Yes, this is true! For the simple reason, based on Commonsense approach to Feng Shui:- Should the pipe burst, all the "nutrients" from the sewerage pipe would pour down to the lovely stove. The standard practise for many Feng Shui practitioners is that if really the stove is below such a pipe, a hulu is hung below the pipe (concealed). Please note that other questions are too specific to your unit. And again this is not a personal Feng Shui consultation service. You are free to go and find any Feng Shui Master to do an audit for your home.
  5. Please make it an effort go thru just recently posted forum message. The link can be found, here:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Grand_Duke_%26_Three_Killings
  6. Star 1 is suppose to be a good star. If it is the water star, then often, opening the main door would be great. If it is a mountain star 1, then, it is also good but main door need not be opened (all the time) to activate it.
  7. 1. In my opinion, you have to weigh what I had mentioned earlier, such as:- 1.1. Sitting and Facing direction of stove to the female "boss" of the home 1.2. Sector in which the stove is in. 1.3. And other points that I had mentioned earlier on. 2. Traditionally, in the past, often the sink would "sit" higher than the stove. For example, the height of the stove is often at 34 inches while the sink is higher or greater than 34 inches to not more than 35 inches. This will coincide with the auspicious measurements found on the Feng Shui ruler. 3. However, in modern times (especially) in Singapore, where there are already more than 2,000 condos x at least 200 units on average. Many of these or all condo kitchen cabinets are all levelled where the sink and stove are on the same height e.g. 34 inches. Kitchen cabinet width is always a standard Feng Shui ruler auspicious length of 2 feet depth. 4. As mentioned, in an earlier message, the fridge should be considered as belonging to the metal element. Thus, some Feng Shui pracitioners felt that if the home e.g. kitchen need more "metal" element, the bigger the fridge is. (This is distinct from the colour of a fridge). Thus normal fridge that are covered in brush steel or white or off-white should be considered as belonging to the metal element. Unless of course you have an unusual colour such as red, then the colour will represent more often the fridge. 5. As your washing machine seems to be the top loading, more the better since, the stove does not really "meet" water when it is pumped up for washing clothes. Otherwise, quite alot of the material of the washing machine is "metallic". Even hard carbolite plastic may be considered as belonging to the metal element. 6. Under the Five Elements concept, especially your kind of washing machine should be overall considered as belonging to the metal element. And fire (stove) can burn or melt metal (washing machine) thus acceptable. 7. It is the other issues like, being unfortunate if the washing machine is found to occupy say the water wealth (Flying Star water star #8). Turning on the washing machine inadvertently, would ruffle the water wealth star. 8. It is this factor, that is more of a concern than say the "artificial" concern of stove facing a washing machine. Often this can be lived with since, you had mentioned that your kitchen is small and thre is really no way one can re-locate the washing machine! 9. Thus in practising Feng Shui, if one cannot really do much in a kitchen then try to "maximise luck" from elsewhere in a home! 10. There are many key success factors in Feng Shui and one of them has to do with:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks P.S. In my opinion, many of the european brand of washing machines e.g. those side loading should also not pose a problem as the glass opening is often below the stove hobs. Furthermore, some even stack a dryer on this washing machine!
  8. Even GAY couples... have a distinctive role to play in a home One has to be YANG, the other has to be YIN. One controls all the finances, the other.... is just but a han pecked "Husband" Is your life same as this two couples? Advice for MAN: Make sure your next home's kitchen is TINY! Advise for FEMALE: Go get a home with both a WET and DRY Kitchen! (But avoid TWO STOVES will do!)
  9. 1. Often we hear our wifes say "Our kitchen is so small". 2. The Feng Shui Smart Husband would openly say "Yeah, what a pity!". But in his heart, he will be laughing away towards zanadu! 3. This is because under the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, size matters. For example, if one's living room is overly large over the rest of the home, then, it is said that the male breadwinner would be over-assertive. 4. Here, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, if your husband were to read this, it would make his day! Since your kitchen is so tiny! 5. Thus, instead of the lady of the house becoming "the Minister of Finance" of a home; while the husband suppose to be the Minister without portfolio, he has a chance to redeem himself! As your kitchen is tiny, you are no longer or cannot pull his ear, anymore! Phew! 6. For info, this may not be true, if your Zheng Guan or Authority under the ba zi is much higher than his. 6.1 For example in this sample ba zi report of a female, Her Ten Deities and Key Characteristics Chart shows her authority or Zheng Guan as 2. And if say the husband's Zheng Guan is less than 2 e.g. 0, then you can still be the reining "Minister of Finance" and he without the portfolio.... Please see attachment circled in RED.
  10. 1. Check to see if the kitchen especially the stove is not at the NW compass direction: as this is known as "fire at heaven's gate". 2. NW trigram belongs to the male head of the house. And it also represents Heaven Luck. 3. General Compass School concept:- 3.1 Kitchen located at South (fire) sector of a home If so, no issue with a stove facing a water position. Considered as enough fire in the kitchen thus even if the stove face a "water" position, still sustainable. 3.2 Kitchen located at north (water) sector Stove already in a "cold" location and facing a water position is even more adverse. 4. The Five Elements concept: Contrary to popular beliefs:- 4.1. Many felt or thought that a fridge is considered as a water element. However, many professional FS practitioners felt that it should be considered as a Metal element. Thus, if the kitchen needs more metal, a larger fridge is a better choice! 5. Think about it: 5.1. What do you think the washing machine - element is? So if the English name has washing or "water" in it, does it necessarily mean that the washing machine belongs (or totally belongs to the water element?) 5.2 In addition, there are generally two "types of washing machine". The one in the picture is the top loading "normally" the Japanese (Korean) type of washing machine. 5.3 There is also the side loading (with glass window) European - Italian, French and other Europe country type of washing machine. So weigh all these carefully. 6. More importantly, the location where the washing machine sits is also critical for both health and wealth (welfare) in a home. And even things like the dustbin location is critical. Put on your thinking caps and start to imagine.... now...
  11. 1. The stove is suppose to be the domain of the lady of the house (apartment). 2. It is important to understand the sitting and facing direction of a stove. And whether it is suitable to the lady of the house. 3. In general, between a three hob or four hob stove, often the four hob stove is a better option. 4. Attachment shows illustration to find out whether a stove positon suits the lady of the house or not.
  12. What has the Grand Duke & 3 Killings to do with the Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House concept? ZERO, NOTHING! Nothing better to do? Too free during the recession? Huh?
  13. Did you get your mountain star correctly? Oops!
  14. This article I wrote around 1996 (thereabout) shows the danger of underground water. (Underground water may include underground water channels or even sewerage running below a bedroom:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.php For those who are building their dream home should take serious note of it. And for those who stay in landed property, it is good to find out where your sewerage pipe is running on the ground level. Hopefully, it is not running below your living room sofa, or even a specific bedroom in the ground floor!
  15. 1. Please refer to this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-pakua.htm 2. All Ba Gua (Pakua) mirrors should be using the First Heaven Sequence Trigram. 3. Your neighbour's Ba Gua is also using the First Heaven Sequence Trigram. And it is often (said) used as an amulet. To scare away "Chinese , Mongolian spirits" Not sure, whether it can be effective with a "christian or other race - spirits, thou".... So far, no one should be using a Ba Gua mirror (with the Later Heaven Sequence) as this is used more with Yang Geomancy or for the living only. 4. In addition, your neighbour's ba gua mirror, usually should have a "talisman or charm" on it. 5. Therefore, your neighbour's ba gua mirror is said to serve two fold:- Protection (8 trigram symbols on the outer side of the ba gua)and Wealth Enhancement (Luo Pan in the middle). 6. Normally, older greenish ba gua mirror comes with a centre flat mirror. This centre mirror is an added insurance, for protection. As it is suppose to let the "spirit" see an image of itself, get scared and run - off! Sucks! 7. In the 1960's to 1970's, the tone of the mirror is greenish. In modern times most of the ba gua mirror comes in the shade ofyellowish (golden) like your neighbour's one. 8. Some homes use this type of semi-circular floor tile area to act as a modern "Ba gua". Symbolic if a curved knife (top down view) slicing away from the home - as a protection. Thus even if the neighbour places a ba gua mirror, you already have a protection. (However, this addition may be considered "illegal" as it does occupy some of common corridor space. (Don't get caught or some one complaint will do). Reference link:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Semi-circulating_entrance_feature 9. Better still, there is another "technique" known as a "nose" or "protuding nose", please check out the attachment "CIRCLED in RED." Here,if ONLY thicker material(s) like granite or marble is used at the front entrance area, it can protude out a little i.e. a "nose" much like a "an edge of a knife" or symbolic of a "karate chop" below the main entrance area. This serves as a "silent" protection in-case a neighbour places a ba gua mirror of any kind above their door. This"straight" method can be combined withthe "illegal" Para 8, or simply used alone ... in a straight line "nose" effect. These are modern symbolic methods of "stealth mode" protection... coupled with a slight raised "platform" as shown in the attachment.
  16. 1. To clarify, the Luo Pan on the centre of the ba gua is meant more to generate "auspicious wealth" for the owners. One good point is that it does not have a mirror especially a conCAVE mirror which is suppose to "suck wealth". Thus, you have roughly sum up what I had mentioned earlier. 2. I did not mentioned fully of the entire Ba Gua mirror on the whole, as I was focusing just on the Luo Pan in your neighbour's ba gua mirror. 3. In fact, the FULL mirror with the Ba Gua Trigrams on the outside serves to "protect" the owners from so called "evil or wondering spirits". Thus if we put both the Luo Pan and the ba gua mirror with the trigram, then it serves TWO purposes:- 3.1 Suppose to create wealth (Luo pan in a vertical 90 degrees angle). And in addition, the Trigram on your neighbour's Ba Gua mirror is meant as a "protection" from so called evil spirits. My earlier message was focused was simply to explain the Chinese luo pan (on it's own). Quote: Jes L. wrote: Based on your reply, the ba gua my neighbour is using is meant more for the purpose of auspicious wealth. It is not meant to detect and deter evil spirits. As such, it will not be inauspicious for my family and will not cause any harm to us. We do not need to take any further measures against it for protection.
  17. 1. Please note that the House Number report is based on the concept "Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui". 2. This is where, it is considered that the qi for all apartments are not the same at different heights. 3. Thus, if or should your homeis a landed property, you should not even use this report at all. Since it is above "vertical qi". 4. Is there is a cure? If it is inauspicious? 4.1 Do take note that it is meant more as a TOOL to analyse which apartment is better to get say within a block of flats. But once, one has already purchased the apartment (flat), nothing else can be done here. For example, currently, there is NO CURE for AIDS or advanced stage of Cancer. 4.2 Simply, Look elsewhere! 5. Look where? 5.1 Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * Fix-the-Leak, First! * The Three-Step-Approach * Commonsense Approach Fact or Fiction? * Fast Food Feng Shui * Situational Approach The above are some commonsense approach to best practises in making your home /office more Feng Shui friendlier! The complete resource can be found under http://wiki.geomancy.net and under the above heading: Key Success Factors....
  18. Further to what I had mentioned, other than what I had described or illustrated, from a technical point of view, a toilet below a staircase is NOT as bad as a kitchen (or stove or anything that can catch fire). As the staircase is an important emergency exit, at least if (touch wood) there is a fire, maybe the pipes may burst and it is still water, as opposed to inflammable objects. The above is only my silly argument (as one of the good) reasons for the toilet below a staircase. Otherwise, please see my earlier comments. The above is to PACIFY those who already have a toilet (powder) room and cannot change it. Thus making those with these feel easy about it!
  19. 1. These are some of the considerations:- 1.1 Sewerage pipe ============= Most toilet or powder room often have a toilet bowl. And even if it does not have one, the "drainage" e.g. the wash basin in a powder room often has to drain into a sewerage pipe and not into the home's rain water catchment drain. Often, a good designed home often always have a toilet or a power room, sharing one EXTERNAL wall. If so, it almost guarantees that the sewerage pipe often would not run from a "critical" area of a home to the toilet (or powder room). Imagine, if we have a guest or a study room at the rear of the home. And often, a sewerage pipe need to reach the toilet (perhaps as you had mentioned) close to the staircase. It has to run somewhere from the exterior and cutting thru be it a bedroom (guest or study) or the dining area or even living room area - the shortest cut to it! "In a very old article of mine" something like "Dangers of Underground water", there was a real life situation where, in Germany, it was found that there was a higher incidence of cancer especially for those bed is immediately above a sewerage pipe! Thus, it makes more sense to have a toilet SHARING one external wall. Here, it is hoped that the sewerage pipe can run from the exterior wall rather than intrude into the interior of the home. In addition, ONE EXTERIOR wall will ensure sufficient ventilation for a toilet - air / or gas or german gas to dissipate out of the home! If so, make sure that family members don't eat too much garlic or onions or else they will pass off too much gas... and certainly your toilet will end up a "stinky" place! Yucks!! 1.2 The "thirsty Hippo" In Singapore, the TV ad says to buy the "thirsty Hippo". It is a dehumifier where it is sold with crytals to absorb humidity or moisture! Imagine, if one has a toilet smack below the staircase, without ventilation (assuming) it does not share an external wall! And imagine if family members have a habit to wet the toilet, and no amount of "thirsty hippo" would help as many of the items e.g. store room closeby would be mouldy! Imagine storing your precious Luvi Vitton or Channel leather bags! They would be useless in no time! Thus, honestly, only lousy "architects" would dream of such a configuration for our home! Please put a stop to this!
  20. 1. This can be "explained" from a "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. 2. Why is it that many Feng Shui practitioners say that a toilet or near to a toilet is no good? In the past, many Chinese homes do not have a toilet in the home, the toilet is a distance away from the home. 3. I have mentioned this many times: 3.1 One day, while driving along a highway, there was this radio feature, where this fella, says that where-ever one place one's toothbrush in the toilet, there sure to be "germs" on it. This is especially true, if we flush the toilet (bowl) and the fine mists shoots out all over the place. 3.2 And his solution? Buy his disinfection tablets much like those for disinfecting false teeth! 3.3 Come on! Many or ALL of us, always use the same toothbrush for at least a few months! Surely a little bit of germs makes most of us resistant. Unless we are suddenly weak, then it may be an issue. 4. The idea is that "worse-off" are those that have a toilet door opened towards say the stove. And if we do not close the toilet door and if we place the toilet bowl sit flat, when we flush the toilet bowl, the "mists" would fly and even reach areas like the stove surrounding. More - of a hygiene consideration. 5. That is why also, it is advisable not to place a fridge facing a toilet door (particularly) facing a toilet bowl. Here, if the fridge does not have those uv or baterial inhibitors, when we open the fridge door and at the same time flush the toilet bowl, some of these germs may just get into our fridge. Thus, fruits, vegetables would "decay" earlier. 6. In your case, the fortunate thing is that the toilet door is not directly facing the cooking area or the kitchen (from what I understand) from your message. Thus it is still acceptable! 7. Thus all these can be related more towards "Commonsense" and here, "simply commonsense Feng Shui". That is why, simple things like using separate cuttingboard for vegetables and fruits vs another cutting board for raw meat etc.... All these has to do with cleanliness and hygiene! You can still say it is still "Feng Shui" good or bad...
  21. 1. If you are DIY or doing "Trial and Error" Feng Shui of the placement of a water position, then, best to read the information especially Para 2.1 to 2.12 under this link:- http://fountain.geomancy.net 2. Contrary to popular belief, placinga water feature (WRONGLY)can certainly lead to broken marriages etc... 3. No choice, for those who don't apply proper Feng Shui tools like Flying Star Feng Shui, better count your luck or avoid placing a water feature at all. As I had recently mentioned in a forum message that under Flying Star Feng Shui:- Mountain Star #8 or Mountain star #9 or #1 = Placing a water feature here may be detrimental to relationships and even luck! If you are "damn" lucky and hit on the right spot where th Water star #8 is = this is good for you! In addition, try placing a water feature at locations with #3 (bad wood = lawsuits, quarrels and conflicts) and there, you have the break-up or divorce! Again if the above, sounds GREEK, then, refrain from placing a water position especially for an apartment or flat. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi My kua no is 7 and element is metal. what i want to buy an aquarium . I have a disastrous marriage and career to have a better career what fengshui item should I keep to keep the aquarium please advice me the direction, and no. of fishes, and decoration material etc
  22. 1. Yes, the authentic Chinese "pin yin" (romanized character) should be Qi. While the dialect or non-authentic version is Chi. 2. Chinese characters are all consolidated in Mandarin. 3. In Singapore, when I started my primary schooling, more than 40 years back:- My Primary One and Primary Two Mandarin lessons were in the "Big Five" or "traditional Mandarin" characters. While in Primary Three, had to learn both this "Big Five" and "Pin Yin" or the romanized verson which is simply "English character" Mandarin and also had to learn the "simplied Mandarin" characters. 4. Thus, officially, if you go to China and use the pin yin "Chi", most may not understand what you say. But in actual "Pin Yin" it should be "Qi" (Chi). 5. Similarly, some say Gua (correct Pin Yin) while Kua is the "dialect" form. Andalso things like BaGua (correct Pin Yin) while Pakua more of a "Hokkien" dialect. 6. If one were to study in Singapore during my time, you have to be multi lingual! As often, we (students) at that time had to:- 6.1 At home usually most speak family dialect and maybe mandarin or English 6.2 In School, we had to learn: Mandarin ( Big Five - long form; Pin Yin - romanized mandarin and simplified mandarin) 6.3 And in Singapore, it was compulsory to learn basic Malay at my time. So, imagine, we also have to understand and many Chinese shows are in the Cantonese dialect (produced in Hong Kong). Many Singaporeans, end up conversant with at least 5 or more types of "languages". Quote: Katrina L. wrote: Is the Qi Lin also known as the Chi Lin?
  23. 1. Attached please find an illustration (sample) of a typical home where there, if drainage out of the home, can result in either: Wealth or Power and Authority for the owners. 2. In this example, if drainage out of the home is under Exit 1 and Exit 3, then it would mean wealth for the home-owners. 3. For those who are in politics or want to have a high position in their company, may consider Exit 2. 4. Sometimes, we cannot chose an exit point as it may drain towards a neighbour's home. That is why there are often a further two other directions to consider. Any other drainage out of the homes will often mean "poverty" or "loss of wealth". 5. In this illustration, one can also see the PURPLE arrow directions, where water may drain from LEFT-to-RIGHT or RIGHT-to-LEFT depending on the exit point. 6. As there are a total of 15 facing directions (under the Flying Star Feng Shui), this cannot apply universally for all 15 facing directions. For info, this example is meant only for a Flying Star N1 direction. (No need to consider the period e.g. Period 6, 7 or 8).
  24. 1. Firstly, I don't have a good idea or picture of how the layout of your home looks like. I won't know how far or the distance between the North or NW .. the main entrance... 2. If your facing direction is NW2, then, usually, there should be unobstructed areas where "wind" would come from the NW direction towards the home. Thus it is in-material if the door is slightly to say the North. 3. For a terrace house, in theory, Qi or Chi can only come thru such a house from say NW2 or SE2, since both sides of the home is attached to another terrace home. 4. However, if the home is a semi-detached home, then, there are usually three sides of the home where windows and/or doors and or sliding doors could be placed. And for these homes, qi can enter such a home from three directions. Usually, the qi from the frontage is most likely as it is often unobstructed. While, the back-yard area - depends on whether there is another home behind yours and for the side, again, another home is obstructing the qi? 5. For a bungalow home (4 sides) can have wind or qi coming in. 6. Please note that many experienced Feng Shui practioner would often say that re-locating the main door e.g. to North can only be "temporary" since this is not the true facing direction. And subsequently, qi will end up comig from the areas with the most yang (lighting or bright areas - clear space). Therefore, it is a waste of time and effort in most instances to try to change the door. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, It often is confusing regarding the affect of flying stars of any year on the main entrance direction and location. My house faces NW2 and the main entrance also faces NW2 (same wall) but located on the right side at the North sector. My questions are: 1) Is the main entrance affected by the flying stars residing in/coming from NW or N of any year? 2) If I tilt the door to N (my sheng chi direction), still as per answer for Q1 above? Thanks in advance.
  25. 1. It's a pity that only in this "crazy" world of Fast Food Feng Shui would someone want to change the bed-head position annually. Think about this! 2. Who in their right frame of mind has ever considered moving the bed, and re-arranging, say the bed room console, and internal arrangements in a bedroom? Again, only those too free or nothing else better to do. 3. Chinese Beliefs: Pregnancy VS Moving Bed - Annually Many Chinese believe that if one is pregnant, one MUST never move the bridal bed, else there could be a likelyhood of an aborted birth. Thus all these talk about moving bed-head to "cater" to the whims and fancies of the Grand Duke or the three killings is but an unfortunate mis-conception. Furthermore, many bedrooms are constrained by having a bedroom door, attached bathroom (door), windows and other "obstacles". In fact, those who think that they can practise Annual moving or changing bed-head directions should think again! Else, normal sane persons would call these people "SIAO" (Hokkien phrase) for MAD!
