1. In my opinion, the process of burial (burial place) and subsequently the procedure between this and before "forced" cremation can affect one's luck. 2. For example, the removal of remains e.g. excavation has to be done properly. Very simple situations include, putting up a tent above the burial site, just before excavation, plus, other rituals are significant. 3. Thus any process done up-to that stage and cremation should be properly done. 4. However, once the cremation has been completed, collection of the urn, arranging for the new site could also do with some "proper procedure". 5. Usually, once cremated, it is less crucial to find the best site since the urn would be housed in a "complex". And once cremated, it is considered 'neutral' site i.e. the site housing your deceased mum is less important, then say a good burial site (non-cremation stage). Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Lee, Years ago, I had a thriving business. During that time, I decided to remove my mother's burial remains and transfer her to a memorial place in the city where I am staying. I did not consult any Feng Shui on that move. Now, I do not have any business and financially burdened. Does that have anything to do with my luck? If so, what must I do? Thank you so much.

1. The three figurines are very popular locally in Singapore, Malaysia i.e. in the Far East. 2. The proper Mandarin Pin Yin names are: Fu Lu Shou 3. Please do a Search in this website or on google to find out more of the three gods. 4. Note: Your placement is not correct. The proper traditional placement is as shown in the attachment. 5. In Chinese books, the pages are read from RIGHT to LEFT. Thus the images: Fu Lu Shou is as shown in the attachment. Nowadays, some Singaporeans, place it from "Left" to "Right". Frankly, this is not proper. 6. Frankly, the ones you have is not the best quality. In Singapore, many of them are considered antiques and the quality and workmanship are finer. Further, the three pieces have varied themes such as Fu and Lu carrying babies. This set is more "family " oriented. While locally many are more collected with "wealth as in $$$" instead of purely family orientation.

1. Honestly, if one truly applies proper Feng Shui, it is difficult to firstly comment on such a Yes/No question. 2. Proper Feng Shui is about looking at the site (site review). And selection of facing direction, and others including the drainage positions etc... Quote: Anonymous wrote: our lot is located in front of an upward road we areconstructing a house and we plan to put a gate on the other side hidden from the road, will this help? please advise on how to deal with key lots thank you.

1. Thanks for the re-upload of layout plan. 2. For practical purposes in applying a template onto your home layout out plan, please see attachment. The rationale for the centrepoint as shown in the attachment is that the home is nto particularly huge to warrant drawing two separate rectangles and later to use the template for Flying star and eight house purpose. 3. The best way to look at it is to consider the outline of the 2nd storey layout plan to determine the centrepoint of the home. Since this layout plan has less indentations and protrusions. 4. In your sketch, I believe the ground floor and 2nd storey should have the same outline. As in your sketch, the 2nd storey profile is slightly different size / proportion than the ground floor. Thus whichever it is, make sure that the sketch are exactly proportionate to further fine tune the centrepoint of the home. In addition, the ground floor garage, in your specific case becomes a 'neutral' area since it is not a missing corner as it is actually boxed up with walls ... P.S. As mentioned above, because your home is not big, it may not be practical to draw two rectangles. And then analyse each of the two rectangles. It can still be done - but not advisable, here.

1. Usually, changing the angle of the front door is only "temporary". This is because, the entire building "frontage" is fixed. And often, tilting the door may not bring significant results. As ultimately the "frontage" or actual facing direction of the home remains the same. 2. If Flying Star Feng Shui has been applied, usually a Feng Shui practitioner will try to advise on ways to "disarm" especially "loss of wealth stars" such as #5 (misfortune, sickness) and #3 (Lawsuits, quarrels, conflicts, scandals). 3. If there are further opportunities, one may consider placing a water position in the home to tap good wealth or activate a mountain position. 1. There are two concepts under Feng Shui: 1.1 Symbolism and 1.2 Flow of qi. 2. Symbolism in Feng Shui The main door is considered as the mouth of the house. (An important "organ". And from the main door, if one sees the staircase, it symbolises "wealth flowing down from the staircase". Some homes have a drainage pipe and when we open the door (to look out) one should not immediately see such things. 3. Flow of qi Main door facing the staircase, may inadvertently "disturb" the proper flow of qi. 4. Thus, often, the most common method is to install a partition (or display wall) such that the staircase is not seen from the main door. (Sorry based on your description, cannot really understand the real picture). 5. Closing the main door - it depends! For example, if the main door has the auspicious say double #8's. Then it is always good to have qi circulating from the main door into the home. As this qi is considered as "good qi". Anonymous wrote: Hello, when we bought the apartment the staircase was also included thus we placed the maindoor on the third step of the stairs to gain space. Is this very bad for the fengshui and is there anyway to neutralise this effect? The staircase is made of two U shaped ( we are on 2 levels) very well lit cos there is a big window. I've read that window facing maindoor is bad for chi so I keep it closed all the time. Please advise. Grace

1. It refers usually to already stayed-in the home. Alternatively, during the renovation period, some move-out for the duration Or if it is a brand new home, complete ALL the renovations especially at the specified locations, first. 2. Once moved-in, don't do any more works at the locations. This is good enough. Quote: Katrina L. wrote: What if I plan to build a house next year and I want to have it finished within 6 months? Does that mean that I cannot do any construction on the north side of the house and I cannot also do construction on the north-north-east side of the house 30 degrees? In that case then, I cannot have the house finished in 6 months? What do you suggest?

Most of us renovate or plan renovations either in the same year or the next year. You can go to our 2009 Forecast link at our main website: http://www.geomancy.net (2009) Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at North Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North-East Education/Romance Star this year is at South Grand Duke this year is North-North-East, 30 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is East. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict.

1. In general, traditionally the Chinese 7th month (especially) certain days is considered auspicious. Nowadays, just because the Chinese 7th "Ghost" month happens to be in the 7th month, many thus construe that it is not an auspicious period. 2. For other races e.g. Indians, they have their own "7th month" which is not in the Chinese 7th month. 3. Overall, we read about many, many Chinese in China getting married on this "auspicious sounding" date. Thus many seem to think it is a good date

1. Usually, having a home next to a retirement home to many is more of a "human or man - factors" then Feng Shui. 2. General, having a home next to a retirement home is near equivalent of a home next to say a temple or a fire station - of that nature. 3. While the garbage dump, (now golf hill) has more concern with how long it was there and any water e.g. a well etc.. will not be suitable. If one uses tap water running from the municipal, this is not a concern. 4. In your case, a very high weightage goes into the "human or man luck factor". Here, I assume that you and your family don't seem to feel very good staying in this home. Human or man luck plays a very high factor in our lifes. If we always don't seem to feel good in a place (even if is one or two reasons), then in my opinion, a valid reason to move. Especially since the external factors (outside) of your home is no good feel factor.

In general, a kitchen contain lots of appliances. And if you are worried about the #5 falling into the kitchen, then one consolation is that hopefully one does have a refrigerator that matches this profile:- 1.1. A fridge especially if it is white or off-white or stainless steel is considered as a metal element. 1.2 Thus if one's frige is described above, and not yellow, then it is considered as a sizeable metal "chunk". And under the Five elements, metal is good to neutralise #5.

1. Generally Aquarius by the Park has 10 blocks of flats. And many units face SE or NW while roughly two (or three blocks) that face differently from the rest. 2. Thus, in all developments, usually there are some good and some not so good units.

1. In Singapore, if you are considering an English name; then there is no traditional precedence with Ba Zi. Furthermore, if it is an English name, many names would have been found in the Company Business Registry. 2. Only business name in Chinese may be selected. But, usually in simplicity unlike an individual's name; it is selected based more on phonetic sounding / auspicious sound like or auspicious reference or prosperity connotation. Or even by numerology. This type of advice is usually not free i.e. paid advice.

1. Please note that this message has been posted countless times. 2. If you had done a search for exactly the same words "sleeping postion", you would have found this message:- Topic: Spouse And I Have 4 Diff Good Sides; Tv Placement Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui) Posted on: Tue, 22 Jul 2008, 20:25 PM The information provided above should be clear enough. As it includes a drawing - illustration.

1. Frankly, this is considered as "superficial" and highly unlikely to change to a new period. 2. Take note of the most conservative thoughts:- 2.1 Honestly, some very conservative Feng Shui practitioners today, even do mention that without uprooting the entire home, to them the home is still but belonging to that period. 2.2 Here, the super conservative FS practitioners believe that even major A and A (Alterations and Amendments) may not change as they believe that as long as the foundation is left untouched, to them it is still felt to be under the previous Period. 2.3 To them, a total change of qi is where the whole home inclusive of the foundations NEED to be "uprooted" and e.g. flatten! And ONLY when one start from a-fresh i.e. new piling etc.. then to them it may change the qi. 3. Frankly, in my opinion, I believe more practitioners are not to the extreme thinking as mentioned under Para 2.1 to 2.3. 4.As mentioned in many of previous messages, the general consensus is not so strict and many practitioners dobring inor add an element of symbolism. For example, removing the roof tiles to let in sunlight sayfor 100 days or more. Or where one repairs the entire roof by removing it ... etc...

1. The most sensible approach, here is based on the concept of Maximizing Marks:- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks 2. Here, it is good to draw a chart, should one decide to say compare between two or more homes; for example:- Is the main door sector a good sector under Flying Star? Yes / No The master bedroom : Is it good for me under the Eight Mansions and try to check out what is the Eight Mansions in relation to where the toilet, kitchen etc... And under Flying Star, where is the water star #8 located. Is it wasted in the kitchen area? etc... Thus one cans take note how many good points vs bad points for each of the home under some of the above considerations. It does not take Rocket Science to do such analysis.
-
In the past, I had posted some actual case examples of real life Feng Shui done for clients. These samples are still available in the forum. For example, please see attachment. It shows clearly how to integrate the Eight Mansions (rather than Aspirations) with the Flying Star Chart.

If your house has no major changes done, then you should use plot the home based on the P5 Flying Star Chart accordingly. Take note that the key stars are #8 current prosperity etc... Anonymous wrote: Dear Cecil, My question is in order to activate the flying star in the P8 as we are in right now, do i need to change my house p5 to p 8. I belive that my house is still p5 since there were no major renovate in the past. So if I want to plot out the flying Star of the house, all i have to so is generate to file by put in the year built and the facing direction, and folow what come up and apply? Let say it built in 1954 and facing 168" south

These are some of the considerations (without any ranking or priorities):- 1. Hopefully the stove is not directly at the NW cardinal point. If so, earth and water should be used i.e. Earthen pottery can be kept in a nearby cabinet close to or above or below the stove. And at least one bottled 1.5litre water should be placed nearby the stove area. This bottle should contain clear water. And replaced, say every few months since this water is not for drinking. 2. Preference for kitchen cabinet colours NOT to be bright chilli red or bright red colour. Earth tone or light grey or metallic or white is best. 3. Preference for even number of hobs e.g. 4 hobs instead of 3 hobs. 4. If the stove is directly at the NW cardinal point, MAY consider using induction stove at that sector. 5. If the fridge (refigerator) is directly at NW, then avoid RED coloured fridge (refigerator). Metallic, yellow or light grey or off-white, white fridge colours are the best. These are some of the considerations, which I can recall for now.

Frankly, in my opinion, one needs more than that to really change to another Period. Thus, I feel that it is not sufficient.

So long as when one is sleeping, it does not seem to "slice" e.g. like a knife or blade towards one's body. Thus if this can fold down, then best to be folded down when not in use. Anonymous wrote: Could you advise if it is okay to have a wall-mounted folder-table directly in front of the bed in the masterbed room? Thanks.

1. One has to look at it from simple "mathematics" or "counts". 2. Here, you mentioned that "according to his kua 1, NW is the lui sha corner so to have the kitchen there is kind of suppressing it ". 3. While NW has two major disadvantages:- 3.1 NW represents the Head of the House and 3.2 NW based on the trigram represents Heaven or Heaven's Luck. Thus there are TWO major disadvantages vs just your husband's kua that it is good to suppress it. Here there are TWO disadvantages vs ONE advantage. Thus based on this simple count, there are MORE disadvantages than advantages for the location of the kitchen i.e. Para 3.1 and 3.2 should be seriously considered, first.

1. Before, I go into your question; there are also two "types" of Feng Shui. If we can generalise; there is the "White" Feng Shui and "Black" Feng Shui. 2. In Singapore, look at the area especially bordering Beach Road to Shenton Way; "Black" Feng Shui actually refers to buildings that try to "suck" wealth from neighbouring buildings. For example, The Gateway isa major concern as till today, there are lots of reports of hauntings especially "triangle" units or points in this building. 3. In the past, and even in the future or near future, some developers engage overseas Feng Shui practitioners, and these practitioners study that "current" period's landscape and advise owners to build based on one or combinations of: Wood, Earth, Water, Fire or Metal elements. 4. For example, if there are lots of squarish or rectangular buildings around, the developer has been advised to build tall and thin structures. Square or rectangular represents the earth element. And by advising to build tall and thin this is symbolic of a tree (wood element). Thus thus Wood building is like a tree with its roots "crushing into the earth" to obtain wealth. 5. Generally, Treasury Building in Shenton Way is circular which is symbolic of a Metal element building etc... 6. White Feng Shui is "clean Feng Shui" where say the building is in harmony with it's environment and it does not pose a "threat" to other buildings. 7. Similiarly, if two apartments are separated by a small garden, placing a clock at the living room area facing the balcony may inadvertenly create sha qi to the neighbour's balcony and into their home. As giving a clock is considered inauspicious. 8. In Singapore, there are lots of Ba Gua wars. Often in the past, many HDB (Government Housing Board Flats) have doors facing each other and separated by just a five-foot pathway. On many occasions, when a neigbhour place a concave mirror or convex mirror above their door(s), neigbours retaliate by doing the same or another type of mirror. 9. If one place twin lions facing neighbour's home. And if the lions have open mouth, it may inadvertently "suck" wealth from the neighbours. In the past, since lions are considered as Metal elements, you may just find the Chinese neighbour hang a red cloth over their door. As red = fire is suppose to neutralise metal or the "savage beast - the twin lions". There are many more instances, and such things are happening all the time. Many get away from it (sucking wealth from neighbours) as this is NOT A CRIME punishable by LAW. You cannot just accuse your neighbour of "robbery or theft". Since they have not broken any real law. (Perhaps, they only broke the 'moral law'). And as you have mentioned, perhaps, for those who believe in Karma... )
