Dear Kwan, 1. I always recommend that one should find out more about each concept using a simple 3 step approach:- Step 1: What is the purpose of each concept? Step 2: What are it's strengths? Step 3: What are it's weakness? 2. For a start, it is always prudent to do some research into the topics: Eight House Flying Star 3. In my opinion, there are already lots of responses to the same question that you had posted. And the many of the past responses deal with such questions. 4. There is no floor plan attached. But appreciate if you can understand that the main aim of this forum is to act as a catalyst and not for everyone to simply post their date of birth. 5. I hope that you can understand that it is very easy for forum uses to post date their date of birth. Usually, this specific information is specific to that individual only. And it is so simple to post such information; without regard to the forum moderator's work load. This forum does not promote `self-interests' at the expense of group learning. 6. For those who are new and want to learn more in this free forum, please try to make an effort to go thru or do a SEARCH into the specific topic. 7. Alternatively, users are free to engage anyone they like if quick answers are required. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, one `leak' is not as serious. But, if there are multiple leaks, than there is cause for concern. 2. Given your general statement, it is difficult to give you a `return' reply. As each situation is different. 3. Some of the questions you can ask yourself (if they are confidential to you):- 3.1 How many years have I stayed here? Or I have recently moved-in? If one has stayed for many years in the house, then, one can fall back to our personal experience. 3.2 How is my finance? If both para 3.1 and 3.2 are OK, then there should not be a need to worry about the slope. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned: This plant can be placed in a water fountain. Simply stick it into the fountain, place a few smooth rocks around it to secure it or use a small jar to contain it. This plant can represent the `wood' element in a water fountain at home. It is best that whenever, we have a fountain a home, try to have all five elements:- For example: 1. Water - actual water in the fountain 2. Metal - a circle spouting ball or using a circular bowl. Alternative place 6 coins into the fountain to represent big-metal element. 3. Earth - it can be represented the material used e.g. clay or limestone or rock and/or a fountain with a square / rectangular base representing earth element. 4. Fire - can be represented by lighting. Lighting can be turned on by a timer e.g. 7pm to say 10pm each night. 5. Wood - such as this `lucky bamboo plant' or alternatively a potted plant next to the water fountain. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1. The `lucky bamboo plant' is actually called "Dracaena Sanderana". 2. It is very easy to grow as all it needs is some water and it will grow. 3. Taiwan, is one of the major exporters of this minature bamboo plant. 3. In the past, it is often sold straight. 3.1 Only in modern times that exporters of this plant added a `twist' to it. 3.2 So that it makes it asthetically pleasing and as you had mentioned added a twist to all sorts of connotations e.g. a `twist' or change of anything .. one can think of e.g. change of luck, change of fate, even change related to romance. 3.3 It is easily grown indoors and little maintenance if any. 3.4 For the common household, we simply have no time to add additional curls to it. And if we grow it for many years, future growth of this upper part of this bamboo shoots will eventually grow straight up. Sure, why not. Many plants need trimming and there is no issue in re-planting it. Frankly, this is not a case of `do or die' senario. Like all other plants, trimming does help promote growth and rejunevation. Don't worry too much of the significance of twisting. This plant has no magic qualities. It is after all, just an easy growing plant. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janna, Information Technology and Country Classification 1. Info Technology In developed countries or countries with high GDP (especially the US); many of it's business and citizens are plugged into the knowledge economy and the internet. In many of these countries, the ratio of Personal computers (PCs) are high in relation to it's population. It can be as high as 3 or 5 persons to 1 pc. 2. Current Info Technology's disadvantage is that current multimedia has not caught up with the speed of delivery / privacy of multi media content. 2.1 Thus, it is currently not practical to have smart face reading technologies etc... 2.2 Presently in developed countries, many of those who were young when the PC revolution are now taking reigns of the information market. And many of these group of persons are very comfortable without face-to-face interaction. 2.3 SMS and E-mails are their means of major communication. 3. With the above situation, I personally feel that currently face reading etc... will be side-lined for quite sometime in developed countries. 4. However, for `under developed' countries to Third world countries, those that have majority of population living in subsistence, only a select group can well afford info technology. 5. I can quite understand your situation for the need for more tools for face to face or one to one meetings with clients. 6. This is how it also evolved in my country Singapore. In the past i.e. 1960s to 1970s and to slightly around 1980's many of my country Geomancers have walk in crowds who would like their fortune read. 7. Many of these Geomancers are now hoping and praying for someone to walk to their stall. 8. This state of evolution will be evident for similar countries going thru this cycle of country development. 9. In my opinion; the country that will most likely to succeed would be China. I am saying it not because I am an overseas Chinese but rather, China's model is a controlled environment, but yet, flexible to allow for stability and growth. 10. One advantage of the Chinese people, is that many have adopted confucious models of filial piety and wealth is actually, making sure that their next generation receives the best education no matter what. I attribute this to the key success factor of nation building. 11. In my opinion, China leaders have always looked at Singapore or studied the model used and the methods used by our Senior Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew. 12. I sincerly hope that all other former communist countries, take long term growth into account and for progress, there must be some stability and pain (suffering). 13. In the future, when multimedia has advanced somewhat, we will launch more resources. 14. In fact, Robert, has been developing the next generation, Knowledge Based system to compliment the adding of learning of resources and the delivery to all users in this website. 15. In a few months time, you will be able to use much of the free resources in this forum in many different ways: both for many of the universites which use the resource here and the common man, who can read, post, retrieve messages. Cheers to all in 2003! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janna, 1. Thanks for your feedback. 2. Yes, in the future, it would be interesting to include what you had suggested. Maybe when we retire. 3. Honestly, at present, with the enormous growth of the internet coupled with many visits coming to Geomancy.net, we already are working nearly "round the clock". 4. In the past, I never thought that Geomancy or geomancy services can be like the equivalent of " Forex (foreign exchange bank staff)". 5. Singapore is located at +8.00 GMT and in the past, you see Forex agents, waiting for the major stock markets like New York to open. 6. Here, at Geomancy.net, we work close to 16 to 18 hours, serving clients: 7. For example, our first clients start off from New Zealand & Australia, Russia, then Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia etc... then India, Europe, US. 8. It is interesting to note that for removing mole, we often do not go for surgery. Simply removing one's hair, it is tied on a mole. In a few days (to a week) the mole simply falls out without a scar. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, lighting and also music (from Hi Fi or from TV/cable set can help increase the yang energy. (This is not meant at you but it is interesting to note " Music soothe the savage soul ". Classics like Vivaldi 4 seasons etc.. " can have a calming efect.) And in the day, if you do not mind pop or just simply listen to the radio all day can help the mind at ease. Tune in stations where the presenter or a pair of presenters chalk up interesting converstations. 2. Frankly, it is good for you if you have mobility to move around outside of the house e.g. window shoping or just spent time outside or some heathly gardening. 3. However, if one is in-mobible, than see if one can invite friends to the home. 4. For the Chinese, a popular pastime is `majong playing' (for the fun). I personally do not play this game which requires 4 person. But an interesting thing about this game is that it involves the contact of all the tiles when resetting the game, making quite a din. 5. A positive mind, dieting and staying healthy (or trying to stay healthy) would be very good:) 6. Most of all do take care! GOD BLESS YOU! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janna, 1. I understand that you are from Moscow, Russia. 2. If one notice carefully, each country has it's distintive cluster of developments. 3. For example, in Singapore and Hong Kong, many Feng Shui practitioners specialise in high rise buildings: commercial, industrial and apartments. 4. For example, in Singapore, approximately 85 percent of the entire population of 4 million people in Singapore live in government subsidised housing. This statutory board is called Housing and Development Board or HDB for short. 5. Therefore, many local practitioners see more (assessment of high rise buildings than say landed property). 6. Similarly, in Taiwan and even in Malaysia, many practitioners do more assessments of landed property especially - if it is not in the city. 7. In my opinion, it is because of the high demand for apartment/flat owners to request for FS audits of their interior, many FS practitioners, focus on the interior. And this is the reason why; audits take on a simplistic approach of the interior. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janna, 1. In the future, I will post more critical reviews about the three combinations and the combination of 10. 2. For forum users here, the combination of 10 is where all numbers in a sector add up to 10. 3. For example if a sector has #2 mountain and #6 water and base number = #2. 1. One must first know the modern history of the upsurge in the use of Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. Many of us are either left or right handed and each of us have an inclination towards either spatial (the arts) etc.. While others are more mathematical. 3. In the late 1970s to 1980's you will find that several graduates in mathematics or in similar field got interested in the mathematical model of Feng Shui. 4. Perhaps, they can relate better to figures (numbers) than say Shapes and Form. 5. Shapes and Forms and Flying Star are on a continuum like hot and cold. Most of us are inclined to one or the other school. 6. But it does not totally mean that those who practise Shapes and Forms do not use Flying Star or vice versa. 7. If one has the opportunity to ask a famous Master of the old, one can learn the the maxim " all roads lead to Rome ". 8. Similarly, if one does Feng Shui assessments correctly, in most cases, (generally), one may lead to the same conclusion. 9. However, no matter how superior Flying Star Feng Shui is, it cannot beat Shapes and Forms. Especially Shapes and Forms of the exterior has very high weightage. 10. You will be surprised to learn of the quality of some Feng Shui practitioners in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 11. In the past, the well educated does not ever dream of a career in Geomancy. And many of those who entered the market in my opinion, pick up a few books and start practising. 12. Many of these practitioners are now in their 60's. Some do well because they try to either learn from experience or trial and error. Others, fall badly on the way-side. Since they do not constantly upgrade or is not plugged into the information world. 13. Many of my country's practitioners have never heard of Xuan Kong, Flying Star. 14. Some use basic theory of The Five Elements i.e. North = water, South = fire and advise their clients based on very limited Feng Shui vocalbuary. While others do or die, use only the Eight House Theory. 15. Frankly, I pity those in practitioners in my country who are 50's and 60's. Many have seen strong competition from scholastic Feng Shui practitioners that not only utilise vast number of tools but also are plugged into the information age. 16. The key success factor since 1980's is the vast information in any language on Feng Shui. And this leads to strong consumer awarness. 17. Consumers of Feng Shui or Geomancy, will force many practitioners to upgrade. 18. In conclusion, I strongly believe that after 2003, many highly educated people will take the lead to bring Feng Shui to the next level. 19. In addition, with the internet, it will bring everyone closer together to pull their experiences. Here, we can for the first time, realistically try to use concepts, ideas and cures that work for most people. And discard the not so reliable concepts. 20. You will be surpised to learn that to-date, even in my country, the majority of practitioners are simply just looking within the four walls with notions about wealth corners without first fixing the leak. 21. Many of my country's practitioners are lucky because majority of people in my country have good work attitude, majority being Chinese have good family bonding etc... 22. And it is because of this Man Luck (Human Luck) factor, that whatever they recommend, seems to `work' as Man Luck can in many circumstances reduce somewhat poor Earth Luck. 23. My advise to those who `swear' by Flying Star Feng Shui is to step back and not be too obsessed with it. It is by far, only part of the arsenal of tools in Feng Shui. 24. And many practitioners become too academic in applying it without looking at the bigger picture of the External environment, site, land, building and apartment or house. 25. The clue here is that if we want to employ the arsenal of Heaven Luck (Pillars of destiny) with Earth Luck especially Flying Star, it all boils down to balancing the Five Elements. And also relating it to time dimension as each element has it's highs and lows. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Janna, The key success factor here is to make sure that one is very well versed in the Five elements concept. And also use another tool of Flying Star Feng Shui: the Eighty-One combinations interpretations. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Janna, 1. Yes, some practitioners call this: the 3 combinations of 1,4,7 or 2,5,8 or 3,6,9. 2. If one looks closely at each sector, that may have any of the three combinations, the fundamental idea here is that one MUST look at all three numbers in a combination e.g. 1, 4, 7 and relate this to the Five Elements Concept. 3. When we chart a Flying Star Chart, some sectors have double 7's. In such a situation, water is used to enhance the double 7 metals in a Period 7 house with double 7's at the main door. Often many practitioners even today, simply look only at #mountain and #water star. And perhaps for this reason, it is best to look closely at all three #mountain with #water with #base number. 4. If one looks closely at the three combinations, it can only be effective if each bad stars in each of the sector has been neutralised or good stars enhanced. 5. In a real authentic Flying Star analysis, each sector's elements are being looked at closely and each sector has to be properly balanced. This is based on the lowest common denominator: The Five Elements concept - weak or strong elements per element. 5.1. Therefore, there is nothing really special in the charting. 5.2. No matter how, one has to chart a flying star chart based on the exact main door direction. And the stars will fly according to a given period. 6. In a full 20 year flying star chart not only each sector ( 2 stars and base are analysed), the 81 combinations are also looked at etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vivi, 1. My earlier comments are very general. 2. In my opinion, the statement has to do more with my personal preference. 3. Actually, black represents the water element. (Water element is either blue, black or grey). 4. In general, since water element does not increase or aid bad earth sickness elements. As compared to yellow or fire element. Especially yellow / beige. Particularly for houses under Period 7. And bedrooms are especially in the EAST. And in some layouts, South is equally inauspicious. 5. In my entire life, I have never used black pillows, therefore, have not considered using it in the future. Personally, I do not mind driving a black car, but, not use black pillows. Again, this is my very personal preference. 6. I am sorry, if the statement below caused you concern. I sincerely apologise for it. 7. In Feng Shui, there is another important influence: I summarise this as " How Thick Skin Are we? " 8. We hear that it is a MUST not to place a mirror facing our bed. The reason is because when we sleep, some suggest that our spirit, leaves our body. And if it sees itself in the mirror, it will get a shock. But, what happens if this spirit is immune to the mirror. It would perhaps wanted to check out and comb itself to look nice before wondering out. 9. It boils down to how sensitive are we? Some of us can take very hot chilli or much hotter than tabasco sauce while others, cannot even take a little chilli. 10. On one hand we have Earth Luck (Feng Shui). But often, many human beings have very (very) high tolerance of our environment. Here, we say that our Man (human) Luck can sometimes overwhelm our environmnet (Earth Luck). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Shrex, 1. In traditional Feng Shui, the most accurate way of finding the wealth spot is to use Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. The key ingredient or most common wealth enhancement is the use of a water position. 3. Under The Five Elements concept, Metal supporst and help water. 4. Thus, under 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui of a house, metal elements are detected and at the same time a location checked to see if a water position can be placed there. 5. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, the most common `wealth' spot is at the frontage i.e. clear space at the front. 6. Often a Ming Tang or bright hall is located here. This Ming Tang can be a semi-circular pool radiating outwards. Since water is relatively flat, it helps to increase clear space. 7. In my opinion, many Feng Shui practitioners take advantage of our personal `inner greed' to make much of the so call wealth corner. 8. Please read my most recent posting to this forum for Feng Shui gimmicks. Do a SEARCH in ths forum for the keywork "gimmick" to find out more. 9. Even under Flying Star Feng Shui, the wealth spot or water position can change, in a 20 year cycle, a year, a month, a day, an hour a minute. 10. If the wealth spot is so simple to locate, how come we cannot buy a one page book that says here " X marks " the spot. 11. Many of the recommend wealth spots are purely psychological. Perhaps, it may help in our Human (Man Luck). 12. For example, some FS practitioners give the remark that it would make us feel nice to see coins at a corner `growing'. 13. And for most of us, if someone tells us that a spot is our wealth luck, we would be more conscious of that location and do regular space clearing (leaving it mostly clear and cleaning it if it gets too dirty). 14. Space clearing, does help to revitalise the flow of qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Users, This maxim was submitted thru SMS by a top ten user of this forum: "U can go to the toilet 4 a leak but cannot fix the leak if the toilet is at the centrepoint of the house" Hmmm.... interesting advice I must say! Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, this is known as the `coffin' position. This is actually where a dead person was brought home into the home and his/her dead body would face a door. (Really to be carried away) when the funeral possession starts. This is not exactly an `exciting' location to be in. Warmest Regars, Cecil

Dear Dagne, 1. I believe you are referring to the Luck Periods under your personal Ba Zi. 2. For professional Feng Shui assessment, such luck period are looked at together with your birth element and strength. 3. The factors under 2, are taken when the house Feng Shui, exterior and interior are assessed. 4. Under Para 2 above, if your Ba Zi luck periods are no good, and especially if your house Feng Shui is not good either; this is like a vicious cycle of problems. 5. And I personally believe, your present home has at least 2 major leaks. The most common are:- 5.1 Toilets at wrong locations 5.2 Odd shaped / house with missing corners 5.3 House does not match the ba zi of the breadwinner. The above are the most common leaks in a house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I would like to help but, such questions are too general. 2. It is preferred that such questions come with at least a reasonable sketch of the surrounding or set of pictures. 3. Since, nowadays, many users have digital cameras. Please try to resize it smaller. 4. Otherwise, I hope u can understand that it is very diffcult to give concrete replies. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Yong Leng, 1. Thanks for your information. 2. Usually, if u have some pictures or a sketch or if you reference it to a virtual map e.g. at http://www.streetdirectory.com it will be a great help. 3. There is truth in what you mentioned. However, it does not beat, being at the scene to look at every single detail. Even the height, the distance of various blocks and neighbourhood buildings is different. And no place is the same. 4. I am very glad that you chosen to look at Feng Shui at a macro level. 5. Frankly, it takes many years to look at, understand how qi flow between one area (different levels) and buildings between each other. 6. Other qi movements include problematic things known as penetrating sha qi. 7. Last week, I received a layout plan. And it also includes a plan form. This person, had been living in the house for more than 4 years. 8. And frequently had to change jobs (although well paying) and also was trying to conceive. He had previously asked two local geomancers but no progress. 9. I was shocked when I saw the site plan. From a few kilo metres away, there was this primary school shaped in the profile of a handgun (with a trigger). And the barallel of the gun is pointed that his block. 10. At the same time, another secondary school with a `longer' barallel also aimed at the surface of this block. 11. Such Sha Qi is known as penetrating sha qi. It is invisible to the eye. But nevertheless, symbollically very potent. 12. Imagine a handgun. This type of sha qi, shoots in spurts and this would account for good times (well paid job) followed by (retrenchment or resignation). "Guns cannot shoot all the time. As the barallel heats up and bullets used and need to replenish." 13. Unfortunately, because Singapore is so small and very few terrain, I personally feel that many FS practitioners in Singapore, focus wrongly i.e. inside the 4 walls of the house but does not seem to have a good grasp of the exterior. 14. Therefore, for the benefit of users in this forum; I have posted some learning resources either under Photo Tours of Interests (with Photos) or Singapore Property Review. 15. This is to help one have an idea that not all things inside a home is as equally important as the exterior. 16. It is good that you are investigating your surrounding. In fact, I do recommend everyone, anywhere in the world to do so. 17. For those who are new to external investigations: 17.1 As you had done, learn more about the ups and downs (if you can) about the situation of breadwinners. 17.2 For landed property, scan neighbouring homes. Look for homes that have not been renovated or look run down. Try to see if there are any canals, drains or slopes or any other building can suck it's wealth. 18. Presently I am not too comfortable replying to your message as, the sketch is too general and thus, too general to give you a concrete reply. Nevertheless, if you have a better sketch or even photos, I appreciate it. For photos, try to resize them smaller. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Users, 1. All reviews of condominiums are based purely on general external shapes and forms. 2. My reviews does not take into consideration that each unit within the development can vary - average, good, very auspicious or inauspicious. 3. For example, sometimes, good condos that had been reviewed, may have some units that have toilets at the centrepoint or other fatal shapes and forms problems either of it's interior or external. For example, the corner of another block points to the block one wants to buy. 4. Therefore, I must highlight that no two units are similar. Sometimes, from a top view, the swimming pool may curve in or act as a butcher's knife slicing into the unit one intends to buy. Or the ideal apartment is attacked by a sha qi, a distance away. 5. Many of the reviews done on each condo is intended as a learning tool and the main purpose is to give the reader a general grounding of what to look for, either if you are buying homes or apartments or helping relatives or friends. 6. If in doubt, please get reliable advise from any competent practitioner whom you feel comfortable with. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Marjorie, 1. For those who are family with fixed template models with characteristis such as Fame / Travel etc... 2. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui sites like this does not use such `Ba gua models'. 3. For those who are new, can check out some of the older links:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm 4. This link helps you when you are using an ordinary compass:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 5. Overall, it is very difficult to comment on just a few general sentences. But, in general, a water position directly behind the house usually services as a `handicap' or a single leak. 6. If there are more `leaks' in the home, then, it usually piles up to a prelude to financial/wealth woes or marriage problems. 7. Under the external Shapes and Forms model, it is a disadvantage to have a water position at the WEST compass direction of the house. This is symbolic of an open tiger mouth (which represents it's eagerness to swallow up something). 8. Why not try to explore further key Feng Shui theories further before applying them. 9. As much as all of us are eager to apply immediately, unless, one is blessed with good guidance else, too little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Lia, 1. Yes, you have brought up a very good question. 2. However, the Key Success Factor here is to take The Five Elements Concept to a higher step. 3. Hint: It has to do more with the concept of Strong or Weak. 4. Drawing a parallel, in Ba Zi, one must ensure that one get one's element not only correct but also whether it is `strong' or `weak'. 5. Unfortunately, for Xuan Kong or Flying Star Theory, many of the bad earth belong to the Strong Element. 6. For example #2 and #5 are strong earth element. 7. When countering strong earth, one should where possible avoid wood element. 8. No doubt, wood is acceptable to destroy weak earth. But it is not a good solution to destroy strong earth. 9. The reason is because Wood will give strenght to Fire. Fire, will in turn assist Earth. 10. When it produces fire, wood will be weaken, it will no longer be able to destroy fire. And fire will increase earth. A double edged sword cure. 11. Metal is different because it draws strength from earth. 12. Another separate situation is that Metal is the safest element to use because in the Flying star model, in situations where water positions can be added, Metal supports water and vice versa. This is really the `wealth' model of Flying Star Feng Shui as oppose to locating wealth at the fancy of individual practitioners. 13. Therefore, I hope you can see the logic behind why Metal is a safer solution than wood. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Location: 24, 26 and 28 Fernwood Terrace Developer: Hong Leong Holdings via Harbour View Hotel Pte Ltd TOP was in 1994 or around 8 years ago. Tenure: Freehold A total of 215 units comprising 3, 4, Studio and Penthouse apartments. Comments: 1. Formerly, this site was located on a Malay type of village. 2. Once the former qi of this village inclusive of a few unmarked burial was removed, thru time, this site being renewed with much Yang (human activity) because of it's 215 units and family nucleus. 3. In fact, in Singapore, there are few of such a configuration: where the twin blocks can actually be seen as one rectangle sitting nearly 45 degrees from intersection of the traffic junction of Marine Parade Road with Siglap Road. 4. This is not a popular design for developers as many prefer to sell more units like the Rivervale Crest condo where, a much smaller site than this can house more than 450 units or 50 percent units. 5. However, the residents here are lucky because, this is considered a Castle Gate orientation of the entire frontage of the apartments. If one takes a top view, this Castle Gate formation has: 1. a symbolic protective triangle (as shown in the attached illustration in a red triangle) 2. The Ming Tang or bright hall or water position being water, destroys the triangle or fire (and this is represented by wealth formation) 3. The rectangle block is situated at a safe distance behind giving it the protection to it's frontage. 4. Previous transacted price range from $560 to $750 psf. However, with the current depressed market even for freehold properties, prices are considered a wee bit, steep at the moment. 5. It is indeed one of the very few condos, I can recall, which both defensive and at the same time the block is based on a stable Earth element block. Warmest Regards, Cecil PS. PLEASE READ A FORUM MESSAGE IN THIS SAME CONFERENCE. THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE IS: IMPORTANT NOTICE ON EACH REVIEWS

Location: Bayshore Road / close to Upper East Coast Road and East Coast Parkway. Many of the south facing units which formerly had views towards the East Coast Park and sea view facing Indonesia is gradually being blocked. However, overall, this place still command good Feng Shui. (Please see my comments, below, later). Developer: Bayshore Park Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Far East Organisation Tenure: 99 years TOP was in 1997 or around 6 years old. It has a total of 1,038 units ranging from 2, 3, 4 and penhouse. Because of its good location at the east i.e. district 15 / 16, price per sq feet can range from $580 to $750. Previously, two years ago, prices are as high as $590 to $850 for some units. Comments: 1. It is always a coincidence that developments that have names beginning with THE seems to turn our considerably more auspicious than some other developments. 2. For example, excellent Feng Shui can be found at the following addressess with THE in-front of their name:- a. THE Meyer Place (specific unit with excellent FS) b. THE Sovereign (especially those in a North to South alignment) c. THE Sterling (specific units and the development has dragon qi flowing from the mountain to the water position) 3. However, I must caution, that in all developments, not all apartments share the same auspiciousness. Some do, while some may not. 4. Usually those units that have good Feng usually has good shapes and forms as well as get FOC Feng Shui from surrounding units. 5. In general, the entire development is on a stable Earth square shaped land. 6. All blocks are neatly arranged tall and rectangular `tree' with a crowning glory. This makes each block wearing a symbolic crown for success. 7. Each block is at least 25 floors and of equal height neatly arranged together. 8. Under The Five Elements Concept, each block resembles a tall rectangle tree (wood element). And this configuration is known as wood (tall structure) destroy earth (square) symbolic of creating `wealth'. 9. In addition, each block has mini protective spines that helps it to become protective (slightly offensive) but does not harm it's surrounding blocks because of the distance between them. 10. Overall, the entire development is a much better buy even if it is subsequently being blocked at the South by the `unfriendly' Costa Del Sol. 11. In the long run, even if those who need to it urgently in the future, can get a reasonable price. 12. Look at Lagoon Park, a HUDC : Housing and Urban Development Corporation, which developed 99 lease apartments for the middle class in the mid-1970's. 13. Although THE Bayshore is of higher class, that of a private condo, nevertheless, locations like Lagoon Park managed to squeeze out it's last drop of wealth for those who were selling it in the 1980s and 1990s. But as it is nearing it's 60 years lease, time-out for this condo. 14. Turning back to THE Bayshore, a tree symbolically represents `growth' and it is only thru growth that we constantly enhance ourselves. For those, who aspire to keep updated, will reap their rewards. 15. Even if they do not fully succeed, they can always fall back as a last resort on the sale of their property since many who own it are in their mid 30's to mid 40's. I strongly believe, this condo for the next 30 years can still fetch a reasonable price in view of it's location and facilities. 16. The only complaint I have is its rough internal service road. Perhaps, if I ever stay here, I may consider an off-road vehicle such as a SUV. Warmest Regards, Cecil PS. PLEASE READ A FORUM MESSAGE IN THIS SAME CONFERENCE. Dear Janna, 1. In Feng Shui, some cures can easily be described or `imagined' for it's ability to react to the environment. 2. For example, most of the ills come from the earth or sickness stars are earth bound. 3. And majority of the cures are based on Heaven qi (or metal qi). Or metal cures. 4. Therefore, things like metal wind chimes - that chime or produce sound is said to scatter away bad earth elements especially #5 misfortune or sickness. 5. Six Chinese copper coins (with square holes) is often strung together. 6. Taking a cue from the use of a empty glass jam jar, filled with 6 coins, 1 piece of gold flake and water with salt; in science, we are aware that there can be some chemical reaction of salt or sulfur on metals such as the copper coins. The advise here is to place this glass jar at a well ventilated place. 7. If we string a similar 6 copper coins. Perhaps, it is due to the action of the moisture which usually contains some acidity; 8. For example, I mentioned the case of the Rivervale Crest Condo. Perhaps, placing 6 coins hung along the windows facing the pool is the first defence. 9. Reference: Conference Info:: Singapore Property Review or simply do a SEARCH in this forum for Rivervale to find out more about the problem related with this condo. 10. Here, since, units 15/16 are East-West facing, most of the `stagnant' in the pool will be shined on by the Sun say from 8.30am to even 2 pm for each entire day. 11. Because of the chlorine and even some body sweat (that goes into it - this is abit exaggerated) but such vapour rises and is trapped around the U shape of the condo. 12. Ultimately, such vapour perhaps has some acidity and it could perhaps have a chemical reaction with the string of copper coins. So far there is no concrete evidence of this, but neverthless, it is one possible senario. 13. Coming to the `bottle gourd', the idea behind this is based on Chinese legend. 14. In general, it is said that one Chinese deity uses such a `weapon' which is able to suck in bad elements into it. 15. Much like the early 1970's TV show: I dream of genie. Where the genie lives in such a bottle. 16. Personally, I cannot say for sure that it will work. Perhaps, it can work to boost our confidence or boost our Man (human) Luck. That's all. 17. I do not have full confidence that it CAN actually work. But, since this is part and parcel of one of the tools used by many Traditional FS practitioners; if it does not cost significantly that much, I can only say no harm. 18. Most of the time, I would instead, try to ask my clients to avoid a straight path of Qi e.g. from the main door, leaking out directly in a straight line to the opposite e.g. balcony window. 19. I will also inform the client that there are no guarantees with this kind of cure. 20. Yes, the size of the bottle gourd can be what u had described. Usually it can be either crystal, ceramic or even dried bottle gourd (from green to brown). 21. And usually, inscriptions are on it also. 22. Have you seen imitation `ming vase' that resemble a bottle gourd? Usually, there are display items that are either 1 foot high or even as high as 3 feet. This are often placed at corners with the same purpose. Sometimes, if it is not used for FS, some even use it as an umbrella stand. 23. Frankly, I find the bottle gourd is like a doctor prescribing a sugar coated pill. To make us feel nice; or increase our Man Luck. 24. I tend to take Para 23 more seriously. 25. More importantly, if we can first, fix the leak e.g. using a partition or screen, then we do not have to worry whether the bottle gourd will work or not. 26. After running the forum for so many years and seeing so many wrongful prescriptions, I have no choice but to promote the maxim: Fix-the-leak, First! "The best offense is self-defense! With self-defence; we can live another day to enhance ourselves. And not go into a vicious cycle of not knowing what hit us..." Warmest Regards, Cecil

Location: Simei Street 4 Developer: NTUC Choice Homes with Comfort Properties Tenure: 99 years TOP in middle of 2002. This condo is a mid-medium sized condo with a total of 242 units with 2, 3, 4 and mansionettes. Because of it's close proximity to the Simei MRT, it commands a good price per sq ft. Price per sq ft for units in this condo can arrange between $540K to $630K psf depending on the level and size of apartment and view. My comments: 1. This developer of this condo also built the much dreaded symbollically joined U shape designed condo project called: Rivervale Crest Condominium. 2. It is good that Tropical Spring has an opening (please see attached picture) at the U configuration (fronting the main entrance) to allowing dragon qi to pass thru. 3. The first thing when one drives to the guard room is that there is an opening at the middle U of the condo. 4. This is good, in view that majority of the condo units are also symbollically joined together. 5. Perhaps, since this project is owned by a semi-government body, perhaps, their idea in my opinion, is to always maximize floor area to squeeze in as many people as possible. 6. Compared to Rivervale Cres condo which has twice as many units (450 for Rivervale Cres) while this one has 242 units nearly 40 plus percent lower no. of units, augurs well for this development. 7. The only thing I do not like about some of the units close to the parallel MRT track is that units that are directly next to the MRT track can be rather noisy. 8. Inside the unit, you can literally hear the rumble each time a MRT train passes thru from each direction! 9. Otherwise, this condo is in a protective horse-shoe design and OK. 10. One lesson here is that, even for all developers, they may occassionally build not so good developments but at other times, quite ok ones. We therefore, cannot stick a label to any developer on whether how good or bad their development is. However, so far, none can beat Hong Leong's The Tropica condominium, located at Bedok Reservoir area: in this type of layout configuration, recently. Warmest Regards, Cecil PS.
