Case Study: Move-in procedures and the use of a charcoal stove 1. Many years back, real life case of an elderly family member most likely the grand mother is staying with the children. 2. The couple really did the procedure of Move-in with a charcoal stove. 3. After they had moved-in, their family member really make use of this charcoal stove.. until it is in poor condition. Then this charcoal stove was thrown away. 4. Contrast today... 4.1. Some couples still follow the tradition of bringing in a brand new charcoal stove. 4.2. Some light it up during the move-in. 4.3. And taboo says... that they SHOULD be keeping the stove. And also suppose to store it. 4.4. The reason is that it is still brand new and some consider it bad luck to throw away a genuinely new stove! 5. Look at this recent question of the "wedding bedding". 5.1. There is no right or wrong answers. 5.2. Thus if one follows the "grandmother" use of the stove.. it is later thrown away after poor condition. 5.2.1. It is similar to the wedding bedding. Drawing a parallel, thus if the grandmother can use the stove.. why can't one use the wedding bedding until it needs to be retired? 6. If one wants to keep the wedding bedding forever, it follows the modern trend of bringing in a new stove into a new home! 7. Nothing is cast in stone. If in doubt, check with the elders such as a grandmother for advice. 8. There will certainly be diverse views etc...

Okay, I did a search and the first thing I came across are these: 1. The full set is reasonable cheap. 2. Only thing is that some of them have are the bold chilli red colours (red is auspicious for any occasions) and wordings and graphics.. 3. Thus, even if one use daily until wear and tear sets in.. no issue, here. P.S. Please note that I have no intention to advertise for ezbuy.sg or endorse their products. It so happens that I did a search for wedding bedding.. google highlighted a link to the above site that's all. Frankly, have never bought any products from this site. My last online purchase experience several years ago was specifically at eBay. Which means? Buy at your own risk!

This reminds me of just the other day: a client got his keys to the recently Just T.O.P. HDB Anchorvale Plains home. He told me, his grandmother personally took charge of his home’s First time open door procedure. Told me to come down an hour later after his grandma does the procedure. LOL ? Here, there are still some Singaporean’s that rely on their family’s tradition. I am sure, this grandma, must also had her home “blessed” by her grandma and so forth! However, there are also many clients in the past who had asked me for such an advice. Yeah! They told me that their parents and/or grand parents are like.. anything goes.. best to consult an expert. As I mentioned previously, lots of advices are grounded in logic and cow sense.. sorry I mean common sense!

1. The basics of common sense is often overlooked in the case of delicate hand-embroidered wedding beddings that require a significant amount of time to create. 2. Wearing a wedding gown more than once is considered a taboo, whether it is fully paid for or rented, due to societal stigmas associated with it. 3. Marriage should not be so fragile as to rely on superstitions and taboos, such as avoiding a piece of glass behind the stove, which is believed to create a mirrored effect leading to potential issues in the relationship. 4. Apologies for the digression from the main topic. 5. Some couples continue to use their wedding bedding for special occasions if it is not overly expensive, like wedding anniversaries or Chinese New Year celebrations. 6. The Chinese culture often involves consulting family members, especially matriarchs like grandmothers, for advice and guidance in such matters. 7. Ultimately, there are no definitive answers or rules set in stone when it comes to personal choices and decisions in life.

Case Study 7: Precinct Pavilion (PP) at Level 1 means out of sight... but does it also mean out of mind? 1. It is good to know that since the PP is at level 1 whilst on level 2, it is a garden, here this means that the activites at the PP will be out of sight of stacks #604, #606, #608 and #610. 2. Although the PP is out of sight, however, it does not necessarily means that the PP is out of mind. 3. This is because if activities within the PP is loud, it can still spread towards the lower floor units especially that of #610 and maybe also #608 & even at #606.

Case Study: 6 Dear Devil, are you at home? I want to visit you soon-:) 1. This stigma often only applies to SOME Christians. (Hopefully not all) 2. Typically, SIX-SIX-SIX OR 666 often does not apply to the majority of other races/religion. 3. In addition, Stacks/Units like #644 and #744 found under this development normally should not be an "eye-sore" for some who are not that in favour of a number like 4 or 44. Let's hope so....

Case Study 5: Stacks/Units are too close to the Common Bin Lobby (CBL) 1. Preferably, Stacks/units #646 and #704 could be considered as a lower priority or choice as the main entrance and even the yard area is pretty close to the CBL. 2. As for stacks #644 and #702 the main consideration is that standing at the main entrance door, one can see the CBL. 3. Often there can be a stigma attached to this even by some persons and also some Feng Shui Masters (FSM). 3.1. To be told that one's unit is inauspicious is a turn-off. 3.2. In addition, when it time to sell the unit through a re-sale environment; the potential purchaser (PP) may hire such a FSM. And told to avoid purchasing the unit.
-
Case Study 4: Is it bad for the main entrance door to face a lift or lifts? 1. Here, one does not need to have a degree in common sense to understand why? 2. Please put on your thinking cap. As this forum is not just a spoon feeding session. 3. If you understand why, that's good. 4. But if you still cannot figure out... then you are not able to earn a degree in Common Sense. By the way, the degree is FREE! LOL 5. Get hold of a Feng Shui Master (FSM) ask one question: "Why is it that a bed should have four legs?"" 5.1. If the reply from the FSM is that: "This is to allow good qi to flow below the bed".. then most likely; the FSM may be lacking in pure common sense. LOL 5.2. Most likely, also you can certainly get another vague answer for why it is considered no good? to have a main door face the lift... [In the near future, I may add the common sense reasoning....Actually, I had in the past gave my views based on common sense for these two scenarios...]

Hillion, Bukit Panjang - NTWU Canteen. Less of meal items sold.. half of the canteen is dedicated to high quality baking equipment .. mostly hidden from view. All bread/curry puffs/donuts/cakes/pastries for $1/- each. Quality on par or even better than those bread shops like BreadTalk or Four Leaves.. and much cheaper even. Imagine pick 7 items and the cost is $7/-. While at most other bread shops, depending on the item, the total costs for 7 items can even be $12/- or more! However, the tidbits on the temporary table costs around $2/- each: Located at the Bus Terminal where all NTWU Canteens are found.
