Long time ago Li Chun was the most important date as it marks the first day of planting. Thus Li Chun is based on the Chinese seasonal calendar. This was because it means putting food on the table. Again, today, some Feng Shui Masters (originating from Singapore) invent a new activity like going to a bank to deposit money). And on Li Chun day.. most salaried persons have to go to work. As it is not an official holiday unlike 25th or 26th January as a public holiday.
