There is something special in this HDB estate. For example, it does not costs much to add this to the hard to see lift buttons overlay. Making the difficult to see buttons clearly visible: Looks classy: Functional table with Chinese chess set overlay + easy to wipe stainless steel table-TOP:- Location: Canberra Road flats facing Sembawang MRT station:-

Is it ok for the fengshui to remove master bedroom door?
Cecil Lee replied to Shimizu's topic in General Help
In my opinion, the correct way to properly look at such changes is: https://www.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triage For example, plotting Flying Stars to look at each sector carefully. What happens if bedroom 3 has bad flying star numbers like #2 = sickness, #3 = quarrels or worse #5 misfortune or sickness. If this is encountered then strongly recommended to maintain a bedroom door. Other considerations also the ba zi of individuals or combinations to see the favourable directions. +++ In Summary "The correct way to properly look at changes in Feng Shui is to carefully analyze each sector, such as plotting Flying Stars, and make adjustments based on the specific issues encountered, such as bad flying star numbers or unfavorable ba zi combinations. This can include maintaining a bedroom door if necessary and considering the ba zi of individuals to determine favorable directions." Master Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net -
There are two main considerations: 1. To the highly or ultra-conservative: it is less than ideal. To some even consider this “disrespectful” to do so. 1.1 Not to say that the fan may be from the illustration shown; directly above the figurine. 1.2 Plus there could be some vibrations or sound from the fan. Especially if it gets older. 2. Common sense: Ithe purpose of an exhaust is that air can be sucked from one side and blow out of the other. 2.1 In your illustration; it is merely blowing the exhaust into the concealed box. And since there is no proper outlet: there will not be a proper suction. And later the ash would be circulating within the ceiling box...

Case Study: Bed sharing the same wall as a TV set 1. TV sets may have varing EMF radiation (if any). Depending on the size of a TV set; we often see it from a distance. Therefore, there is no concern for those who view the TV programs. 2. Who is sleeping behind or sharing the same wall with the TV set (may or may not be a concern) 2.1. From the layout plan: looks like there is a thick wall between the TV and a bed. If so, there is no issue. 2.2. Other factors include: type of wall e.g. concrete/ concrete/ bricks / prefabricated walls. This are good as they are a shield from the TV emf (if any). 2.3. But if the wall is a dry wall or gysum wall; then there may be a concerned IF the TV set is mounted at bed or bed-head level plus coincidentally the area where the highest EMF from a TV is also found at the level. 2.4 Fortunalely, if the bed is as shown in bedroom 2; there is no issue given that there is a small part of the "legs" position sharing extactly the same wall as the TV set. 2.5 However, some of us may sometimes switch sides: bed-head directly next to the TV, then less than ideal. 2.6 Of course the simpliest solution is not to mount a TV set within the same level of a bed + the person's sleep position is good enough.

Case Study: Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, it is less than ideal with the bed sharing the same wall as the stove. It does not matter if the side of the bed or the bed-head shares this wall = not good. Tower 1, C2: Tower 1, C4:

Case Study: 1. A toilet should ideally share one external wall 2. A toilet should not be in close proximity to the kitchen: stove/sink - Tower 2. Type C1 wth #02-12 to #35-12 A. TOILET marked as "A": 1. Please refer to marking in red "A". Generally there is no issue with a toilet with sink and WC at the yard. 1.1. However it is a concern if such a toilet is so close to the Asian kitchen. 1.2. One concern is whenever one closes the lid of the WC seat; whenever, one flush the WC, water will gush into the WC airwell; and because usually many WC seats have some gap where the rubber studs hold it higher; the concern is the micro-droplets from the flush may blow out of the toilet towards the kitchen. 1.3. In addition, if the kitchen door and the Toilet marked as "A"'s door is not closed; it is less than ideal to see the toilet sink when one enters the unit. 1.4 For example in the attached illustration: Standing at marking "X", if the Asian kitchen door + Toilet door of "A" is not closed; one can see that toilet's sink. 1.4.1. Under the premise: If it is not seen, it is no longer a "threat"; then simply close this toilet door when not in use. B. TOILET marked as "B": 2. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; a toilet should at least share ONE (1) external wall. 2.1. This is not so for Toilet/WC marked as "B". Furthermore, although there is a wall between it and the stove; again less than ideal. - Tower 1. C2: (See Below) 3. Good that the Toilet/WC marked as "A" is quite a distance away from the Asian kitchen as it is separated by a utility area. 3.1 Although again, the Powder Room marked as "B" should have at least share an external wall; however, it is not "facing" "B's" WC. Unlike the earlier example. Thus overall, this layout is not ideal; but much better layout than that of Para 1.

Case Study: Before signing the dotted line, check where is the external rubbish bin(s) As the two tower blocks have external rubbish chutes. It is unclear from the various internal layout as to the location of the rubbish chute(s). Thus before signing the dotted line; do check where the central rubbish chute(s). As in the earlier sample layouts of Tower 2 : Type A1 and Type B; good that the rubbish bin or bins (some new developments may have a common and recyling bin) is not beside or next to the main door. Make sure that when standing at the main door looking outwards, the rubbish bin(s) should not be seen direclty from here. Additional considerations some of which may apply to tis development:

Case Study: Under symbolism in Feng Shui; it is less than ideal to have the shower of a bathroom sharing the same wall as the stove Layout of Tower 2. Type B 2-Bedroom. #03-08 to #35-08 Similar examples include Tower 1, B:-

Part 2: Park Colonial sits on what used to be a hospital funded by the American Mission of the Seventh-Day Adventist . 1. The hospital then was called Youngberg Memorial (Adventist) Hospital. as it was named after Paster G.B. Youngberg an Adventist missionary. 2. Some Singaporeans were born in this hospital till the 1990’s. In fact two of my cousins were born in this hospital in the 1970’s. 3. Until recently, it was taken over by the Salvation Army. 4. The building has a Colonial heritage. This could be the reason it was called Park Colonial. 5. The well laid out Bidadari cemetery can be seen well laid out in grids to the right of the map:

Part 1: Park Colonial Sales Brochure resources: Launch date: 23 June 2018 As the theme suggests, it is based on past hertitage but emphasis is grandeur or luxury. Expected T.O.P. is 2021. 1. In my view, there are several factors to take into account: 2. In this scenario, the primary concern is the orientation of the main door in relation to the dining area. 2.1. This issue is more related to societal perceptions rather than Feng Shui principles. 2.2. For instance, if the main door opens directly towards the dining table while meals are being consumed, it may raise privacy concerns as passersby could observe the family eating. This is why the notion of having a partition between the main door and dining table has emerged. 2.3. Another important aspect is ensuring that the main door does not open directly towards the living room windows or balcony. In such cases, closing the windows, using panels, or installing curtains can be considered. 2.4. Additionally, it is a matter of common sense and creating a positive first impression. If the first thing visible upon entering is a messy dining table, it may be advisable to have a partition in place. 3. Notably, in this layout, the kitchen's glass panel does not face the main door. This design choice ensures that the internal workings of the kitchen, such as the sink and utensils, are not in plain view. So, what is the issue here? 4. Please refer to the illustration below: 4.1 The suggested partition in Feng Shui symbolism is positioned precisely in the center, with the "blade" of the partition resembling a knife dividing the living room into two equal halves. 4.2 It is recommended that any partition installed should ideally be waist high and above, and not completely airtight. Additionally, it is important to ensure that from the sofa, there is a clear view of the main door. 4.3. The partition that is not air-tight is designed to enable individuals seated at the dining table to maintain situational awareness of the main entrance door area. This allows a family member, for instance, to engage in conversation with someone at the main door or to be alerted if someone is attempting to tamper with the main door lock.
