  1. Old stalls serving: Satay and mutton soup..(goreng pisang..not shown) to name a few Newer.. Penang Laksa, Tiong Bahru pau franchise
  2. In the future, a tree trunk could pose a significant Feng Shui risk if it becomes a poison arrow aimed towards the interior of the unit. If it impacts a window, the situation is more manageable; however, if it targets a balcony opening, it becomes nearly impossible to mitigate.
  3. These are some considerations:- 1. What is your rationale for facing North? 2. Usually Shapes and Forms prevail over the Eight House/4 good or bad directions. 2.1 Thus, if one is base on this and if the bed-head faces the window; then under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui may be less than ideal. 2.2 You have not mentioned where your bed-head points to. But if it is as described under Para 2.1; then best to.have the bed-head against a would wall.
  4. The verdict is out. Onemap.sg's government data map shows that compass readings is still N2. But now it is just 1 degree off instead of streetdirectory's 7 degrees. While S2 is now 181 degrees. No matter how, this development's stacks/units are either N2 or S2 facing.
  5. Feng Shui survey .. Chinese Loupan At this stage, I am looking at the Shapes and Forms I.e. Scanning the environment.. this is why I put aside the Luopan.. and catching a view of the surroundings..

  7. For example, your neighbour Waterscape. Even if this unit shares an identical facing direction to a unit in Cavenagh Gardens. The Feng Shui will not be the same. As one cannot simply transplant exact Feng Shui intrepretations to the older Cavenagh Gardens. Other than Feng Shui, personally, units along the CTE is not that great given the noise from daily road traffic. Between this, units facing Cavenagh Road is better. Given the height restrictions (for fear of snipers looking into the Istana)... from your description.. looks like lower block facing the Istana. Sample Waterscape development also has height restrictions. And this unit also faces the Istana side:
  8. From a Feng Shui perspective, when one applies Flying Star Feng Shui, yes the birth date of the unit is taken into consideration. For example: Homes in Cavenagh Gardens belong to a Period 6 chart. Period 6 is between 1964 to 1983 vs your neighbour Waterscape which T.O.P. in 2015. Thus if one were to analyse the Feng Shui of Waterscape, this development belongs to a Period 8. And in Feng Shui, a Period 6 chart is different from a Period 8 chart. In this sense, they are different. For example, if a unit in Cavenagh Gardens e.g. face East (E1) and a similar unit in Waterscape (E1 also). Although these two units have identical facing. Their Feng Shui is very different. The land where Istana sits is an auspicious piece of land. And sometimes one can still see monkeys facing the Istana side. Look at it this way: in each of our school class: we will have always the top students who usually are 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. In between are students that are ranked in the middle and there are always the last in the class: 'boys/girls". Same for Cavenagh Gardens. Generally, the two point blocks are the safest being that qi can flow freely around it. Only thing is that some of us don't like the westerly (afternoon/CTE side) or afternoon sun units....This is another set of considerations under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui.
  9. In my opinion: 1. On the surface, based on this photo, it is acceptable. 2. Hopefully, the hidden part of the storm drain does not run past from this property from the front to the rear of the home passing through your property.

  12. Arc shaped bedroom door design.. This is so 1980's trend. To many, it resembles a chapel door. While others consider it a tombstone style outline... The saying goes: One man's meat is another's poison...
  13. Understand why a common rubbish chute even if it has a door may affect....
  14. One of the major considerations when it comes to resale value is the location and opening of the common rubbish chute. Although the common rubbish chute is shown in the attachment. I have marked it as "X". But, not that clearly shown, though. Please note that these Teo photos, shown below are samples from recently T.O.P. developments. Where some owners found too late that the common bind are right at their door step.. Even with a door.. it may hurt re-sale values..
  15. However, based on the Sales Brochure, see below; the North compass marking is instead 15 degrees or 5 degrees more than the above. The good thing is that even if the North stacks are facing 10degrees or 15 degrees, it is still within the tolerance of N3. Thus well within the tolerance of a Period 8: N3 or S3 facing stacks/units. When TOP, best to take a proper reading(s), still.
  16. This development is poised for family units. As the majority are 3 bedroom variants and the rest are 4 and 5 bedroom type
  17. Based on the site-plan, under Flying Star Feng Shui, majority of the stacks/units either face N3 or S3. Legal TOP is 2020. Thus still considered built within Period 8 Flying Star Feng Shui
  18. The Salvation Army building have roof-lines that can become a potential poison arrow(s) The red arrow area shows that there is a roof-line which is higher then that of the yellow area. Avoid getting a Low unit facing the Salvation Army building..
  19. HDB Anchor fields and surroundings
  20. Potential poison arrow of Pavillion roof-line if it is aimed towards a unit's balcony or windows. Potential Sha Qi as shown by the red arrow below:- Fortunately, the trees can act as a shield...

  22. Which do you prefer? A PES that is fully sheltered or one that is partial? From a common sense point of view; it has to be the fully sheltered even if looked so caged like? This is because there are instances where "killer" litter maybe thrown down from upper floors. Plus the living room balcony is shielded from rainfall.
  23. Seriously, the clue here is The Five Elements concept. As both the Flying Stars and Ba Zi uses this concept. Do a search in this forum for " Lowest common denominator". Unless one is versed in The Five Elements concept.. one will always be forever.. asking and asking how to interpret ... Again the clue is: #5 = big earth #2 = weak earth etc.. etc... One also has to use Ba zi or Four pillars .. eg.. is the person a weak water or strong water etc.. element.. If one is never ever going to understand and apply the above... no point keep on interpreting for that person.. Look at the chart below:- 1. Beside the word "FIVE ELEMENTS" = Lowest common denominator or L.C.M.:- 2. Flying stars e.g all numbers uses the Five Elements 3. Four Pillars or Ba Zi (Heaven Luck or born with) uses the Five Elements concept. All the above use "The Five Elements" concept: "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime"
