  1. 1. One has to understand that Flying Star Feng Shui is dynamic based on "time dimension". 2. Even for a home or any given home: each home or sector in a home mathematically has the following variable:- Under the 20 Year flying star: there are:- Mountain star: variable 1 Water star : variable 2 Base (Palace star) : variable 3 You mentioned the Year star: variable 4 There are such things as: Monthly star: variable 5 Daily star : variable 6 Hourly star: variable 7 Seconds star: variable 8 3. Mathematically:there are an interplay of at least 8 variables and only when there are an unfortunate clusters of #5 ... then one is in deep shit. Do not play loud music or have the television here. The problem is we have limited space. There is no where that I can transfer our TV set. Is there a solution to my problem? Thanks so much and God bless. 4. Majority of the time; this is a misunderstanding:"Do not play loud music or have the television here". 5. Only under special situations: where the interaction of the mountain and water star that we need to keep a location "quiet". Otherwise, what you mentioned is far from the truth! 6. In fact, in many instances: sound e.g. tick-tock of a click or constant metal e.g. includes a silver "anniversay" clock can help to destroy "#5". 7. In addition: even for the Tai Sui location at north-east-north 60 degrees.. who says cannot turn on tv or radio. 8. But for those who are "scared" to do so; and still "productive" can certainly help meet the government's goal of more births in the country. Thus: removing tv or not turning it on : only helps the government to try to achieve their goals only. Look at it; this is not a bad thing. 9. In fact, for those who don't understand; and have a small home; best not to turn on tv, radio, lights out, no washing machine; no dryer.. hows that for your quality of life: I wonder?
  2. Judith L. wrote: Hello again, Masters Lee! Three questions this time, I hope I am not trying your patience so much. I am doing prework for my planned paid report order by checking flying stars for my period 6 house based on the door that might be the best to use for the year, prior to getting a paid report for which direction seems favorable. (I am sorry about doing all this pre-work myself as I can only afford one report due to a really terrible year last year. And I really mean terrible) 1. Am I doing this right? Do the mountain and water stars really change based on which door I am indicating on the FS Report tool? Yes, each chart has a different set of mountain / water / base star numbers. Judith L. wrote: Hello again, Masters Lee! 2. I am an East person, but the only other door to use is at the West which is not in my suitability directions. Using that door, however, makes the house face South even as the doorway itself is at the West--does that make it any better for me and my family? Or should I indicate South in the flying star paid report request in that case? Usually, the most important consideration is "whereis the FACING" direction of the home. Inmany instances the doorfaces the same direction as the FACING direction. In other instances, the door can face west butif theFACING direction is still South;then the FACING direction (regardless of where the door is) is facing South. Thus under Flying Star: the housemay/could /should befacing S1 or S2/3. Judith L. wrote: Hello again, Masters Lee! 3. I have read the sample reports also, which is why I am planning to get one for myself. I am curious, between a room with favorable stars but unsuitable direction (ie, spook) or a room in favorable direction but with bad stars (5 and 2s and 7s) is it better to stay in favorable locations and fix bad stars or go to the one with good stars but in unsuitable direction? If one has the luxury of choosing bedrooms (excluding other factors like afternoon sun facing etc..) it is beter to stay in a room with good stars even if it is unsuitable direction. Again, one has to see how bad the stars are: For example you quoted:5 and 2s and 7s while in an actual room there is MS#5 ; WS#2 and Base #5 or #9. Even between such comparisions your example where there is still a #7 small metal element even if it is bad is far better than MS#5 ; WS#2 and Base #5 or #9. Thus with MS#5 ; WS#2 and Base #5 or #9: there is less leeway for "cures" or a guaranteed cure vs 5 and 2s and 7s which is less of a concern. Therefore, what you mentioned DEPENDS on how bad the stars really are in that room. Or if both rooms have equally bad stars but different stars.. then they have to be reviewed, further.
  3. Source and Credit : The Straits Times, Singapore : Thursday 4 Feb 2010 HONG KONG- THE fengshui adviser whose bid to claim late tycoon Nina Wang's property empire was ruled fraudulent was arrested yesterday. Police detained Tony Chan, 50, after more than 10 investigators searched his US$30 million (S$42 million) home in Hong Kong's upmarket Peak district yesterday afternoon. Mr Chan's wife, Madam Tam Miu-ching, was also taken in for questioning, Ming Pao Daily News reported. Police spokesman Anne Lam said police arrested Mr Chan in connection with a document forgery case, Associated Press reported. Forgery carries a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison in Hong Kong. Ms Lam said officers also took computers and documents from his house. Television footage showed a police motorcade leaving the three-storey complex where Mr Chan lives, but many of the vehicles were curtained.
  4. 1. Usually, a visual glanceat a chart is the safest bet. As can immediately see which sector qi has the most influence and also draw a mental picture of how qi can flow in that specific room. 2. In theory, based on what you had written; below; The NE sector looks "pretty" bad. Thus between the devil (NE) and the "shallow" North(not deep) blue sea; it would have to be the not so deep blue sea i.e. North Note: #2 = sickness; #4 = wood element (not as bad) #9 fire element fuels #2 (sickness) and there are two #2 and one #5 (Misfortune/sickness). If you refer to some Feng Shui books they will often say "avoid .... sleeping... here...) Libby I. wrote: My mom's room isdevided into two sectors: N and NE. The North sector has 2 mountain and 4 water, & the annuel star 4. The North-East sector has 9 mountain and 2 water, & the annuel star 2 & the monthly star 5. Whichsector is better for sleeping?
  5. Please see attachment with illustration on where to place the two red dots. In this attachment; I have shown two locations each for the placement of the red dots. Must avoid placing the RED dot behind the handle of the door knob. As there is no direct path or "view" from the back plate of the door knob. What happens if the red dot fades? Less wear and tear area is actually the key hole area. Or use a durable round sticker.
  6. 1. These are some of the considerations: 1.1. It has more to do with pyscholgy: where just imagine both parties exit each of the bedroom and eyes "meet head to head". This symbolises perhaps: personal clashes. 1.2. However, if only one bedroom is occupied and the other bedroom being a guest room is vacant most of the time. If so, there is relatively no issue with the two doors facing each other! 1.3. Feng Shui is also about symbolism. Thus the most common symbolic approach is to place a "RED" dot on the same area of each of the two doors. Here, the two RED dots symbolise eyes i.e. see eye to eye with each other. 1.4. How or what kind of red dot? It can a dot much like the pupil of an eye or smaller diameter. And just anything red can be used e.g. a permanent red felt pen or a red circular sticker or even for ladies with eithe chilli red or maroon nail vanish can also be used. 2. Contrary to popular belief; Feng Shui is not all things "renovation or demolishing a wall etc..." Far from it. Grace P. wrote: Hi. I need help. We just bought a new house. The door to the guest bedroom and my sons bedroom are facing each other with the guest bathroom door on the middle. I was told that having two doors facing each other is not a good one. Is there any remedy aside from a renovation?
  7. 1. All these photos were taken on just one single private housing estate road i.e. Lorong H Telok Kuaru. 2. As the Lipstick palm has partial reddish canes; Chinese like RED as it signifies auspicious connotation. 3. Every one of these picture shows the Lipstick palm or also known as "majestic" Maharajah Palm. The Indian word for Maharajah is royalty!
  8. The original link for this plant is under this url: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=26709&new= "The common name of this plant: Lipstick Palm, Maharajah Palm, Sealing Wax Palm and Pinang Rajah. The terms Maharajah and Rajah denotes "royalty" in Malay. This is one of the most popular plants, planted in a landed property especially at the front fencing area - as it is very good at camouflage or provide a nice screen 'privacy' screen for a home. And because it's stem (trunk) is red in colour; red at the frontage of a Chinese home symbolises auspiciousness. Family name: Palmae Synonyms: C. lakka Origin of this plant: South East Asia" PS: I had to create a new thread as the link above already have lots of photos on this plant and with more pictures.. will take time to download all.
  9. 1. When we see "KUM" (minature mandarin orange)trees.. it simply meansChinese New Year is around the corner! 2. It is strongly not recommended to eat the fruits as these trees were "artifically" fertilised to yield a bumper harvest of minature "KUMs". 3. These minature mandarin oranges should only be admired but thus not eaten. Treat them as ornamental plant with fruits.
  10. 1. This special design lamp posts can be found along the stretch of Lor H Telok Kurau Road. 2. The lamp post seemingly looks stylish; but yet hides an ugly truth: Under symbolism in Feng Shui; it is not good for homes to face the "twin pointed" archer's arrow-heads aimed towards the opposite house! 3. A design ... from Feng Shui point of view that went the "wrong way" to the dogs!
  11. 1. Indeed, if the roof line points directly towards the window instead of the main door; then it makes more sense for the wind chime = 6 hollow rod wind chime to be placed, there. 2. It was because, perhaps; the photo may be "misleading" as from the earlier picture that you had shown; it does seem that the poison arrow of the roof line "strikes" the main door. Since you have explained clearly; then the threat should be towards the window. 3. As such threats are "singular" or "ONE" threat PER situation. This is not like ICBM's inter-continental ballistic multiple warheads that seeks different target. This is akin to "an eye for an eye" sort of thing. Not like "an eye for a main door and a window opening". 4. Another passive "cure" is simply to have a second set of "day curtains" but this has to be drawn - "If it can no longer (or vaguely) seen; it no longer becomes a threat. Anonymous wrote: I have one more question, I hope you don't mind. When waiting for the landscape, we use windchime. The opposite house was newly built, when that house was still in frame phase, we observed the roof line and know that the line points directly to the window next toour maindoor. The window is also important to us, it's the study room and our children spend 4, 5 hours in that room everyday. Can we place the windchime to protect the window instead of the door? Thank you again, and sorry for so many questions.
  12. The Very Best of Luck with your manyFeng Shui endeavours Judith L. wrote: Dear Master Lee, Thank you so much for your very comprehensive answer. It was very helpful indeed! The yearly planning "gurus" always tell us to look at where we are now-- but I guess we must look at the past to even know where we are! Looking at the charts with the added perspective of your explanation has made it so much clearer. Looking at it now, there is no question of which chart to use (Period 6 ) as past events and occurrences fit more with one than the other.. What you wrote above, enforces the "pro" "hot" camp that the most effective or 100 precent method of changing an existing home's qi is to tear it down and re-built. Else; in my opinion, there will certainly be more cases where lots have been done under other Periods and yet, still may not fly the home to another period.
  13. 1. The famous Chinese sage: Confucious said that "if he can live another 50 years; he would like to dwell more into understanding the I-Ching or book of changes". 2. This implies that al human beings have lifespan. 3. No one can claim a ONE solution to how to "guarantee" a change from one Flying Star Period built to another. 4. Thus if anyone does claim that they have the answer? We must take it with a pinch-of-salt.
  14. 16. Further to what I had mentioned; "smart question(s) to askinclude:- 16.1. Are there frequent quarrels or relationship issues- when staying in the home. If so;often, flying star #3 is often in one's e.g. master bedroom and /or living room and or at the facing direction. For example, if the facing direction has #7 mountain #7 water but there is a star #3 then, such a chart seems to coincide with one's actual situation. 16.2. #5 at the frontage or that specific bedroom. Lots of illness or health issues. For example under Period 7, many who sleep in a bedroom located in the East - especially the female was prone to health issues. 16.3. Thus check where #5 and or #5 with #9 and or #2 are = concentrated and which chart and which sector. 16.4. Current prosperity stars are #8 water star and #8 mountain star. Check which sector they are under the different periods. For example; during 2003 to 2004; I was suprised to get so many cases and each time I visit the home; many of those who had stayed in a Period 7 North 1 and NW 1 home had the most problems during the transition from #7 to #8. As suddenly #7 turned bad and for NW the luck was trapped at the #8 centerpoint of the home. 17. The above are some of the better questions to try to narrow down or zoom towards which chart I could use. 18. Frankly there are dozens more of such questions that can be looked at. 19. For professional Feng Shui practitioners like myself; we even have our very specialised chart see attachment where we can interpret the Eight-One combinations e.g. North-West direction: [5] & [4] - Conflict of Star 5 with Star 4. Lost of Wealth, bad period. 20. For us our task of seeing which chart is more accurate is definitely both much faster and accurate compared to the layperson or DIY guy given that we have developed special tools to further help us. No choice; this is both working smart and productive! As we see thousands of cases (to evaluate and come up with proposals).
  15. 1. Glad that you found this forum useful and hope that you continue to benefit from it 2. Frankly, in my opinion; this Period "change event" for many persons; the most they may encounter it is roughly 3 of such events. 3. For example, most practitioners and many practise this art of Flying Star Feng Shui often at their late 20's and depending on which period they intersect with any of the Flying Star 20 year period - for example, if one is in their 20's the next period change if it occurs now is when this person turns 40 years of age and later maybe he/she may encounter it in he's 60's. 4. Why do I bring this out? 5. This is because, unlike daily occurence; for example, in Singapore, we have lots of apartments (flats) and all sorts of layout plans. Give me any even unusal apartment layout plan and can easily pin-point the centrepoint. But this critical 20 year change is more crucial before and after the event and like your situation of whether to assume Period 6 or venture to Period 7. 6. Frankly, based on my past experience of having seen only two of these "changes" as I am currently just 50 years old so my next encounter will be at say 2023 when I am 60 years of age. 7. Given this frank - opinion; not many can claim to specialise in this change event. Even for myself given just two changes so far. 8. What I am saying that there is again no right or wrong answer. In fact, there are some who somehow "miraculously" fly to the next period; for others; try as they might.... no use.... don't seem to be able to fly. 9. The two major contradictions of the continuum of "Hot vs Cold". One side says that unless the foundation of the home is completely knocked down or demolished by people like Osama bin laden and his gang. Else to this group; the hot side would say... not able to fly. 10. On the "cold" side; this group would state several conditions for flying. I have listed out some of these means of how to fly. Try to check back to messages around the 2003 to 2005 period where this change was a hype. 11. Now how do we realistically go from here? 12. The concensus amongst practical Feng Shui practioners are: Like what you had done - a "wonderful" job in drawing up two charts: one for Period 6 and Period 7. 13. Many practitioner if they have drawn up the two charts would often ask certain questions from those staying at that exitising place to establish the "history" of which chart seems more accurate. 14. Unfortunately, this is an inexact art. So, experience counts and or asking the right question or even have a keen eye to spot and test out "past " history of the home. 15. This type of "thing" = no right or wrong answer. As I mentioned, check the trends, history of an existing home, something like a polygraph testing by an "expert". Frankly, anyone can be an expert - keen eye
  16. 1. Please see attachment. 2. I have not "zoomed" into any specific unit. But in this illustration; I assume that most often; the living / balcony has the same "facing" direction of the facade of the building. 2.1. Thus for these units in GREEN: stacks 11/12; 15/16 and 19/20; these units should (I assume) be facing the pool. And if so; they are 35 degrees and fall within NE1 facing direction. And Period 8. 2.1. Under Period 8, these are considered "Premium" units as Period 8; NE1 has the water wealth star at the frontage i.e. facing the pool And traditionally for developers these are also considered the choicest units. 2.2. As I had mentioned above, I did not go into each stack in detail and the assumption on the attachment is based on each individual stacks sharing the same facade as that part of the building. 2.3. Other stacks of NE1 e.g. 43, 44, 49 are considered good choice but second to the Para 2.1. 3. Stacks with facaded facing SW1 are equally good in terms of Flying Star Period 8 SW1 facing Feng Shui. 4. This development GENERALLY has 4 facing directions (exclude the main door - "facing") : these are NE1 ; SW1, NW1 and SE1. 5. As mentioned above; better units from now to 2023 are the NE1 and SW1 (wealth wise - for health - need some correction - no issue). 6. Where esle for NW1 and SE1; generally, they have good facing "stars" at the frontage; but for other sectors of the home; e.g. when we divide the home into the 9 grid or 9 pie chart; other sectors are not so "fantastic" thus may need to look at the individual sectors or areas of the home - some to disarm the bad stars. 7. As I mentioned earlier; this is just a superficial look at the top-view / and "slotting" each stack roughly into a specific Flying Star facing direction. For those who are serious in a specific stack; should just further confirm or double check the information; first.
  17. 1. Frankly, there is no issue with maintaining existing lawn. 2. However, do take note:- 2.1 NO DIGGING - distrubing the soil e.g. to remove a tree stump... 2.2 NO PILING work 3. Trimming the grass; adding fertiliser or even the dog doing it's business or dog "watering" the lawn are acceptable - no hassle sort of thing. 4. No issue also for anyoneto walk, run, playall over the lawn or even double park another car on it. Acceptable.
  18. Further to what I had mentioned earlier, Why is there no worries about Obsessivecompulsive disorder = OCD? Majority of homes should easily weather themselves from bad situations with or without Feng Shui. Those who want to play safe, can have the benefit of applying some of these concepts:- * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach You mean to say that in addition to all your worldly concerns each year; for some; ensuring that their child has everything for the coming new year school semester; your job; your family needs; yet... got time OCD : how not to "meet" Tai Sui?
  19. 1. Logically, all homes would be facing the "Tai Sui" position every few years. 2. Please note that the main concern with "Tai Sui" are: 2.1. Try not to "Touch" him or 2.2. Try not to "disturb" him 3. Touch means don't paint e.g. the wall or "disturb" means don't do hacking or renovations at that sector. 4. The mere fact that you are sitting and working facing Tai Sui and concerned about it is just an "overkill" situation. 5. Please refer to this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=26971&new= 5.1 Once upon a time; many were literally picking up Feng Shui books and try to outdo everyone with "Feng Shui enhancements". 5.2 Today:- 5.3 "9. Unfortunately... let's home it does not end up as one of the "NEW" mental illness : Obsessivecompulsive disorder OCD!" 5.4 Have we gone to the dogs? Just the mentioning of "meeting" Tai Sui face-to-face is like - a death trap or "dead-meat" for some of us. Why so scared? 5.5 Some say; I have to change my work table to face away from Tai Sui. It is not like one's table and chair can be rotated 360 degrees to avoid such things year, month, daily, hourly sort of thing. 5.6 A case of OCD? I can understand that some people have OCD of sexual nature. But to have OCD of Feng Shui? As I said; this is the social ill of the 2010's.... 5.7 Anyway, don't worry too much; many predicitions even those relating to the I-Ching says 2012 is not a pretty one for the Human race: Obama bin laden or Osama bin laden?
  20. 1. In my opinion, what you described is pretty common - apartment basements in some parts of NY city. 2. Commonsense Feng Shui:- 2.1. In some low lying countries; the main concern is that for such apartments; is - if there is sudden flooding i.e. where the nearby drains leading to the sea got clogged and or due to sudden heavey downpour in the Tropics. 2.2. Commsense Feng Shui is about making sure that the home is reasonably neat and tidy and : "clear space" is very common word to use, here. 2.3. Being in the basement; it is still good to ocassionaly "air" the home e.g. good to once a while - especially after a down pour to let outside air circulate within the home. Anonymous wrote: Hi I lived in one of the apartment basements in NY city. I need to go down 5 steps to enter the front door but the back door is ground level. Me and my family live here.. Is the place bad in feng shui? The front door is facing west and it is block by the stairs going up .. Pls. advise how to increase the chi in my small space.. thanks so much.. I'm just new in feng shui so any feedback is greatly apreciated.. Blessings to all.
  21. 1. In my opinion, it is not that bad. 2. Frankly, I see it more as a graceful geese gliding gracefully on water; see attachment 3. In my also; it looks less like a cooking pan as a cooking pan is rounded; where else this either looks: like the cake scoop. For example, when we scoop up a slice of a piece of cake to a plate. Or at least it is like a chopper as you had mentioned. 4. A chopper is actual good as this is an "offensive" weapon and the only thing is that whoever is in the "way" of this chopper e.g. neighbourhood land is not as good. For example, please see attachment Fabercrest hill site. It looks like the blade of the long Chinese weapon. 5. Edelweiss Park condo if you compare to Livia; looks more like a legless peacock with it's feathers "down". 6. The Signature Park condo also (remotely) resembles the head and neck of a king fisher bird or even a young duck - if it is in grey tones. 7. Anyway, human always can very easily imagine outlines if it remotely symbolises any human form or animals or insects. For example, sometime back many saw the stone feature on Mars as looking like a human face. But when the explorer took closeup pictures.. it is merely a hill with two indents that looks like the outline of the face, eyes and nose. Anonymous wrote: Hi, I like to know if the layout of livia site is auspicious. From one angle, it looks like a cooking pans or a limbless bird. From the oppsite side, it looks like a chopper. If there is another project being build beside it, will there be any disadvantage for those beside block 61, 63, 65 (along the blande)? Thanks in advance, Tim Chua
  22. 1. The best choice is always good landscaping. 2. The last resort is the windchime. It has to be between the sha qi (poison arrow) and the main door.
  23. Anonymous wrote: I can see the roof line of the opposite house fromour front door, even though we know it does not point directly to the door. Could you see if it's a threat and how do I cure it? Also, if the roof line point to my window next to the door, what should I do to cure the window? 1. Frankly, in my opinion, it really (really) looks like the pointed roof is aimed towards your main entrance area. 2. As the area before the pathway looks "barren"; often, proper landscaping at that area is one "stealth" method of negating it. 3. Alternatively, a wind chime may be hung for such a situation.
  24. 1. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing? or rather someone who takes on a title and then with their limited knowledge provides "ill advised information". 2. As I recalled; as I am very family in this industry called : Fwang Shway or Fung Shui or Feng Shui. 3. In the 1980's the trend was to pick up a dozen Feng Shui books: 1001 tips on Feng Shui and many happily go about this "new hobby" of theirs; 4. In the 1990's the "sharks" emerged as they found that they can make supernormal profits out ofobjects which they name them " In the name of Feng Shui...." 5. This trend continues till today. During this period: "Instead of fixing the leaks; many go to stock up their sinking ship with lots of useless ornaments in the name of Feng Shui. 6. All these while; very few sites includingGeomancy.net was trying to"educate"manyof such things as: one family member practising Feng Shui (in secret); purchasedmanyuseless objects.. ran into credit card debts and even divorce because of this. 7. In the 2000's; I coined the term "Commando Feng Shui". Some don't really care; "Just do it and often it becomes anover-kill. 8. In the 2010's onwards; many started to realise that: Hey! Feng Shui is not just about enhancing, buying, buying and buying to"decorate" the home. But, hey! Feng Shui have dire predictions like: the dreated FIVEYELLOW. 9.Unfortunately... let's home it does not end up as one of the "NEW" mental illness: Obsessivecompulsive disorder! 10. Recently some forum postings .... dwell with Obsessivecompulsive : how to fix the leak or poor advice from "bogus or know nothing Feng Shui "masters". 11. Look at all the Malls in Singapore... second to food; nearly everone else starts to open a Geomancy Shop in Singapore malls. And they really have no shame in tauting their so called "magic in the name of Feng Shui products!" What a shame! When the buying stops! the selling can!
