  1. Further to what I had mentioned; the attached illustration shows: a practical approach to Feng Shui, today. And highlighted in YELLOW are the type of work even in a DIY environment should be required. Note: the Flying Star chart in the illustration is about: a home: with variables of : Year of birth and Facing Directions. E.g. Period 8 N1 etc... Not the tortoise that happened to appear out of water and you copied from it to do a grid. This is a no-no. If this was the 1960s and you draw a chart that you did earlier... perhaps may impress a few people. But in the >2000's era... this is just too basic (Kindergarten type of FS).
  2. Frankly, you have to do more than just placing the 9 numbers only. You have to place into each of the 9 grids: especially the #mountain & #water stars. For example in the pie chart version, see attachment. You can see that each sector has it's own Flying Star numbers. Thus unfortunately, the rudimentary numbers e.g. 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6, etc... serves no (much if any) viable useful purpose. And you wrote: If I use 2nd room (grid no. 9, south & fire sector) to become my small office n might sleep there if i work late, is it suitable? Based on my kua south is good for me but it fall under fire, so I a bit confuse Put it plain and simple: your Lo Shu grid is too basic. Therefore, how to answer your questions?
  3. The Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system consists of: 1. Heaven Luck = born with via individual ba zi 2. Earth Luck = Feng Shui of the home and office 3. Man or Human Luck = Personal relationship with family and friends especially bonding. Often, unscrupulous commercial product sellers will try to "blend" their commercial products into this area in the "Name of Feng Shui".
  4. You are most welcome to come again! (Provided you buy something from us... ELSE!)
  5. The Concept of Maximizing Marks is similar to idea of simply not placing all your eggs into one basket. http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks
  6. This site was formerly the location of two blocks of flats : Blocks 95 and 96 of Henderson Road
  7. Meet my inconsiderate neighbour. This is not the first nor the last time that she parks like that.
  8. This new release plot of land located at Bukit Batok Street 21 is surrounded by the EC, The Dew and Bukit View Primary School. There was a concern by a client who will be balloting in this site: The SkyPeak at Bukit Batok. His concern is the pavilion at Block 292D. As some of the highly ranked stacks (lower floors) at a distance can see the pavilion. From a practical approach to Feng Shui, one has to be practical, here:- Please note that more importantly, there is no pavilion directly in-front of the blocks 522 and 520. Unlike 530 and 528, If one is talking about facing the pavillion, nearly all stacks can if you consider what you mentioned face it: Stacks: 510, 508, 506, 504 and 232, 234, 228, 230, 216, 218, 204, 206. Thus, the most inauspicious stacks that are closest to the pavilion is the main concern, here. These stacks are especially 530 and 528. And other stacks are considered quite a distant away. And is often not a major issue. While in the second attachment: stacks 522, 520, 232, 234, 228 and 230 should be more concerned with it's frontage as shwon in the shaded RED - zone/area
  9. Frankly, it is indeed very true that a sucker is born every minute....
  10. In my opinion, this has more to do with beliefs and customs than Feng Shui. And also based on common sense and may affect the subsequent re-sale value - if any. For example, the Cantonese dialect group felt that "14" means Sure to Die.....
  11. House with No "4" Dear Sir, Recently I looked one house and intended to buy. The interior of the house is good and we like the house. The price offered is reasonable. However, the most concern us is the house number is "No. 4". Most of the Chinese do not like "4" . From the fengsui point of view, is the house number so important ? Will it be difficult to sell or rent the house just because the house number is "4" ? Please kindly advise as soon as possible before we make the purcahse. Thank You very much! regards,
  12. 1. This has more to do with pure common sense 2. Here, how many of us during our childhood have open bookshelves just in-front of our study table? 3. This is to allow us to place our current semester books and reference materials like a dictionary and even some decorative items to brighten the work-area. 4. Contrast this with closed bookshelves. If so, whenever we need to access some of our "tools", we have to either open the doors or slide them which may be inconvenient as we may have to move something else to access them. 5. Thus, it is perfectly fine or OK to have open bookshelves at our work-interface = good ergonomics. 6. Therefore don't be too fearful of someone else telling us that all books in an open environment are like knives.
  13. Under the Five Elements concept, this painting has two main elements: Metal and Water in it.
  14. Some photos of the M Hotel..
  15. Please see attachment. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, Partitions named "A" and "B" are considered acceptable. While partition "X" often when viewed from the main entrance door, seems like a "split" into two... thus not as auspicious.
  16. This year's annual sickness star #2is at SW. And another concern is that #5 misfortune/sickness is at the centrepoint of the house. And this "overlaps" all sectors in a home.
  17. In my opinion, it is always prudent to check the annual Flying Stars especially if intend to do a renovation. As this year, #2 sickness star is located at SW. And just be careful also as #5 misfortune/sickness is at the center-point and often over-lap with most sectors of a home. Try using the salt-water cure and place it at SW sector in the apartment. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2013.htm 2013 Flying Star Forecast North 6 1 8 7 5 3 2 9 4 South Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at South-West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at Center Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at East Education/Romance Star this year is at South-East Grand Duke this year is South-South-East, 150 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is East. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict.
  18. My obsession with the Toilet Bowl: Cannot eat, bathe & sleep without thinking about it!
  19. These are some considerations: 1. No offence, but what you wrote sounds like it is a SIN to have: an attached toilet for the master bedroom + shared toilet........ 2. Don't you think that take most layout plans and your layout don't seem out of the ordinary. 3. Frankly, there is no such thing as a perfect apartment. Far more, no such thing as an apartment without a toilet. 4. Such an overkill can only mean one thing: "go shut down all your toilets" and go use the ones in the condominium if indeed this is a full condo development. But since HDB flat, may have to walk further to a coffee-shop to make use of their dirty toilet for daily use. 5. You can search for past forum messages. On why it has more to do with common sense even if the toilet bowl faces a door (bathroom) door; simply leave the lid at the open position. 6. Like what you wrote... might as well not stay in any apartment. 7. Again no offence, it ain't NO SIN to stay in such an apartment with a very common layout (type) of plan. Unless, one is an Alien, and suddenly parachuteddown to earth and find such layouts weird and alien or very unfamiliar to them. Frankly, I find this truly an over-kill.
  20. The dreaded #5 Five Yellow = misfortune sickness star is at the centre of the premises, this year....
  21. The concept of: Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust holds true for anything that has been cremated. Thus cremation is considered as : Neutral. As a mark of respect; often, place it somewhere that is not often disturbed. Need not display it. So long as not placed below one's bed or preferably not in one's bedroom is fine or OK. Often if one has a study, can be placed e.g. on a shelf perhaps next to the window etc... There are no hard or fast rule for such things. Thus "show respect" is a good idea, here.
  22. These are some considerations: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach
  23. 1. These are some considerations:- 2. It is good to understand some guidelines and useful considerations in either determining whether a home changes period. Or if unsure, what are the reasonable steps to determine the Period of a home:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 3. Ideally, if one had bought a new home, but YET to stay in; could consider doing all the renovations be it major or MINOR PRIOR to move in. 4. Thus, it is better that after completion of the sale/purchase of the home. Immediately do the necessary renovations (especially at the center area). 5. Then if possible, move-in or (select a good date to move-in). This is considered as NICE-to DO.
  24. 1. Please refer to this link with guidelines:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 2. In the above link, do take note that the conservative may even still consider the home as a Period 7. 3. And one should still work out TWO charts. And follow the advice or guidelines. For example, there are situations where the Flying Star numbers at a specific sector(s) are: 3.1. In both periods sometimes both star numbers are near identical e.g. either auspicious or inauspicious stars. If so, it is safe to apply the 20 year flying star "cure" or "enhancement" without any detrimental effects. 3.2. Thus, don't always assume that just because one changes the roof; it will change to Period 8. As the conservative would say that the foundations must be changed (not necessarily the cosmetic flooring).
