Dear Susan, Under the Holy Trinity of luck: 1. Heaven Luck (born with a silver spoon or not) 2. Earth Luck (Feng Shui of a home or office or place) 3. Human Luck (Usually, it is about us: have a feel good factor) Every home and even bedrooms have a limited scope to place a bed. Especially placing a bed that suits our bed-head direction - due to things like fixed door to the bedroom, windows etc.. Many of us try (nowadays) to do things in the name :sake of hoping to have better Feng Shui such as trying to place our bed-head towards a good direction. However, we should always consider this situation as NICE-TO-HAVE. And not a MUST-HAVE. What is more important is the Human Luck factor (or man luck). Or feel good factor. Thus, imagine if we do not avail ourselves to looking at good head sleeping directions, we would instead, place our bed according to the shape and form of a bedroom. In fact, true Feng Shui is also about "harmony in nature" and the hope that it gives us harmony in our life! And since you were posted as a quick fix, try to speak to your supervisor (Boss) that you are equally unhappy with the new post. Depending on your current work performance, length of stay in the company, the better your previous work performance in your existing posting the better it is for you to "bargain" with your boss. If the house has more than one storey, try not to have the toilet bowl (on the second storey) just above the main entrance door. In addition, for other toilets on the secondstorey, try to super-impose the location of the toilet onto say the 1st storey layout plan. Dear Anon, 1. The sleeping direction or best bed-head direction should be considered "Nice-to-have" and not a must have. 2. Even if sleeping with the head facing west, I personally feel that this position is the better choice. As you had also mentioned that the other position e.g. placing a tall bookshelf and placing your bed-head towards North seems weird. 3. Feng Shui is about Earth Luck. While feeling comfortable in a bedroom surrounding is about "Man or human" luck. 4. Thus what best is to sleep in a "normal " bedroom vs a "weird" layout bedroom. If we don't feel good in a bedroom.. might as well throw out the whole concept of "theoratical" feng shui. Worst to face west.. 5. To share with you: There is another Feng Shui school of thought.. this has to do with "feeling good factor". There is one Feng Shui master who.. often when clients cannot find a good bed-head position.. he would (not me) personally tell the client that - Hey! actually; when we sit up a the bed and when we breath (air or qi or chi), we are actually "facing" a direction. Dear Angelia, To be honest, it is very difficult to provide advise based on just a few paragraphs of your situation. In a Feng Shui assessment, it is best that a proper Feng Shui audit be done to even consider a single apartment not just giving "short" advise. Thus, the external Feng Shui i.e. the landscape, the site and the land and even the block that your unit is in is crucial in the assessment of the external Feng Shui. It is nice that the second home is more squarish. And I am not too sure how bad is the "odd" shaped NE1 facing (1st apartment). Theoritically, as what you had mentioned both NE1 and SW1 can enjoy better wealth under Period 8. As equally both have water wealth #8 at the frontage. And best that for these two units, check to see if preferably, this immediate frontage is not blocked by other closeby neighbouring block. Actually, for both NE1 and SW1, notoriously, under Period 8, both have sickness qi at this facing direction and opposite direction. And these need to be "contained". Usually it is preferred that the house suits the male breadwinner i.e. your husband. For yourself, it can be 'balanced" often by you sleeping in a specific position in say the master bedroom. Dear Anon, Yes agree! If it is a small bedroom, the only sensible thing to do is to keep the bedroom tidy. Dear Little, Frankly, in authentic Geomancy; so long as one is selecting a Mandarin name for a business, fine! It can be looked at to check whether the name is both auspicious sounding (phonetic sound like) and also whether it meets Chinese Numerology and the Five Elements concept. Thus, it is quite similar in nature to a parent or grand parent going to a geomancer to help to select a new name for a Chinese baby child. But, if the business name is purely in English or even French etc.. there is no Chinese precidence in selecting a good name. Thus an English name like your propsed business name K Miss 3 does not follow any Chinese good or bad name. As Chinese Numerology may also be usede.g. counting the number of strokes per character and whether the name has : Metal , Water,Wood, Fire, Earth elements. If you are going to find acomplimentary Chinese (Mandarin) name then one can ascertain whether it is auspicious or not. Similarly particularly in Singapore, some Chinese wanted to have their Chinese name changed. Dear Anon, In general, if an HDB precint has majority either North or South facing apartments, then if particuarly the male breadwinner is a West group person, may consider looking at especially if it is a Flying Star Period 8 South 2 and 3 apartments where there is particularly a double #8's at it's facing direction. If the apartment is a Period 8, South 1, then check that if possible the living room is at say North or the back of the apartment. A west group person can still benefit greatly from a South "facing" apartment. Frankly, usually changing the facing direction of a door has more to do with "PACIFYING" one's concern than effectively changing the qi. There were several attempts even by some Feng Shui practitioners who had asked their client not so much of changing the door but to create a "hallway" so that after coming into the home, the hallway is facing the owner's good direction. Yet, these were the same people, who had called for a 2nd Feng Shui (opinion) after having no results or in fact they were facing more difficulties in their new home (apartment) even with this change. Dear Hoa, Yes, unfortunately, the traditonal Chinese coffin's cover is similar shape i.e. semi-ciruclar when we look at it from the head (front to back) view.

Just take note that if the water feature has a spout or multiple spouts, then "aim" the water spouting out towards e.g. the sofa or into the home. Don't aim the spouting water towards the main entrance door! An alternative is to use a water feature where water flows out evenly from e.g. the mouth of the vase equally. Or if it is a rotating water feature, than try to make sure that the rotation does not rotate towards the main door.

Dear Anon, More importantly, you should have completed your renovations on or after Chinese New Year 2004. In addition, if you had given your townhousea fresh coat of paint then the better. In addition, if your townhouse feels fresh and does not have too much clutter all over, then there is a very high likelyhood, that you home can be considered as more of a Period 8 home. Dear Anon, To be honest, some homes or apartments have bad Flying star numbers at the centrepoint of the home, especially under Period 7. Therefore, in general, a toilet is exactly not a major issue for such homes. Instead of placing those mirrors or screens or false wall, in my opinion, it is simply to leave it as it is. And, if possible, try to maximize or enhance qi or neutralise qi in a home in other areas. From a practical point of view, few if any nowadays, place a mirror at the toilet door. And those false walls is often very cumbersome to get in and out of the toilet when there is limited space. For Option A, from a Shapes andForms Feng Shui point ofview, althoughyou are "technically" correct to place a "mountain" in the form of the check of drawers -- but, the bed-head is not "resting" onto a proper "wall" or "window" for support. The key issue under Option A is i.e. from a top-view; the bed is literally not supported atit's bed-head. As compared to Option B where, the bed-head is supported by the "building" wall orclose to the window. Thus what is worse off is to have the bed on it's own in the middle of an "island". Dear Gabi, All of us have taken an examination or examination(s) in our life. And usually we find some teachers teaching us some "techniques" in how to approach certain types of questions. For example, one of the most common type of examinations (school examinations) is: that we are given a time limit i.e. to try to answer 5 questions say out of 10 questions given. Many of our teachers will ask us to allocate a specific time for each of the questions. Thus if we were told to answer this exam paper within 2 1/2 hours and need to (compulsory) answer 5 questions then we should try to allocate 30 minutes each. And the logical way is to try to answer all 5 questions giving each question say no more than 30 minutes. The rationale is simple, here, the key word is try to "MAXIMIZE" our score. No point answering only 4 questions and leaving out the 5th question which totals = 20 marks for that question. Some of us even fail by answering 4 or less questions. Feng Shui is also the same: Try to maximize our "luck" (score). For example, if we find that our "prosperity" is found in the toilet, and because such areas are fixed, most of the time (frankly) we can't do more, here. So, try to maximize your luck by enhancing or neutralising some other sectors, instead. Dear anon, Usually, it would be good for an employer to install low height partitions at your workspace (if possible). You have not mentioned whether your work space is an open desk or already have a low height partition. If you already have low height partition, this is fairly acceptable in an office environment where one's desk is directly facing the office door. And no further needed. It is good also that your table is possible, moved slightly instead of direclty facing the office door. In an office environment, we have to understand that often staff cannot control the situation. Dear Linh, Please take note that you should use the conVEX mirror. And not the conCAVE mirror. In this website, under "Photo Tour".. I had several years back included pictures and description of the various mirrors. Briefly, conVEX mirror(s):- 1. Simple convex mirror surrounded by a border e.g. a red plastic border. Usually comes in two sizes, the smallest is approximately 3 to 3.5 inches. 2. Some convex mirrors are found in the middle of a bagua mirror (which has the 8 hex trigrams embeded on it). This can also be used. Nowadays, itcomes usually in yellow background. but the mirror is a polished mirror. 3. Some have a flat mirror. And sometimes surrounded with a fierce chi ling or lion head... 4. In general, some buy mirrors under Para 2, for both deflecting sha qi or poison arrows and also dual purpose of "protecting the home" or safeguarding the home from "evil spirits" - which some feel may attempt to get into the home. 5. In your case, Para 1 is good enough! 6. ConCAVE mirror 7. In general, some use this to "SUCK" wealth. For example, some homes have missing corners e.g. North-West sector. Yes, for this year, the Five yellow #5 is at south. Thus as you have mentioned any external work will affect your bedroom. It is quite difficult to place metal between your room and the work carried out. For those who live a landed property, the car can be used as a shield. In this form as far back as 1989, I have mentioned that one of the traditional "cures" is(was) the use of the "salt water..." 1. get a glass jar e.g. the size of a jam jar or those similar to the kopitiam clear glass type of glassware. 2. add 6 copper coins (six coins represent big metal. While 7 coins represent small metal.) 3. add 2 to 3teaspoonful of salt 4. add water and stir the contents. 5. have to place it close to the window. Symbolically, other cures include : tie a string of 6 coins and hang it on the curtain rail area (especially for #2). Some other Chinese cures include the placement of a bottle gourd or hulu e.g. at the bedside table.... What actually happens is that the salt water solution will react with the copper coins ... just becareful not to place it too close to the bed.
