  1. Dear Chris, You should use the Personal Ba Zi for the design of your husband's logo. As the name "Personal" suggests that it is specific unlike the general Chinese horoscope. Therefore, since your husband is considered a weak metal person, in logo design, best for him to use:- 1. water = blue, black or grey and/or wavy shapes or designs 2. metal = white, silver or gold and/or circle Any of the above two combinations are good for his company logo. Furthermore, if the industry is music; then para 1 would be good since music comes under the water element i.e. blue, black, grey and waves...(wavy) logo Good Luck! Cecil
  2. Dear Anon, 1. I am unable to advise you based on " sector " unconventional non-traditional Feng Shui. 2. This type of unconventional " FS " is a modern invention. 3. It has no merits in Traditional FS and is only popular in US. Perhaps, at best it provides `false' hope. 4. This type of " sector " thing; can be highly commercialised and one may end up spending money lining the pocket of the unsuspecting " FS practitioner " and shops that benefit by selling a person items. 5. There are a few more of such recent messages and if you do not see a reply, then one should understand that it is not worth the while pursuing these concepts. 6. These concepts are in my opinion worse off than even " Kindergarten Feng Shui " and if one examines carefully, it is quite `silly' paying homage to a corner or corner. Furthermore, these "sector" ideas, imply that it can be applied universally to everyone - too simplistic... a model. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. Dear Anon, Yes, some Feng Shui books often indicate that when we cook, we should be able to see who is coming into the kitchen. This is a commonsense approach: 1. Not often, we will leave the entrance door open. But, sometimes, when we cook, the noise may drown e.g. a bell or someone calling us at the main entrance. Especially so if it is any of our loved ones ... especially the very young children who may have just came back from school. 2. Should someone have left the entrance door open, we may see "an intruder" come in ..eg towards us.. (Most unlikely.. but this is what some of the book(s) say... Frankly, most of the time Para 1 and 2 does not happen. As often, we roughly know when our child is coming back; and we may infact.. be waiting, instead at the front door. Ideally, when we stand at the main entrance door, we should try to avoid seeing the stove directly. As it is akin to symbollically "getting"burned when we,just stepped into the home. Therefore, it is better not to hang a mirror; if we can. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. Dear Fenny, Traditionally, you can try purchasing a small foldable pen-knife. Wrap it in a cloth material and it is sewn into the pillow casing. Warning: Make sure that the pen-knife is closed shut and the casing is padded with cloth. It is suppose to curb dreams. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Connie, Thanks for the sketch. As there are two sets of windows and the bedroom door is close to the toilet area etc... the best position for the bedhead is perhaps shown in the attachment. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  6. Dear Anon, 1. Usually the air-conditioner rotary unit should be placed at a "sensible" location even if it is one's excellent sector etc... 2. Under Eight House theory, one should not be too worried about such issues. If the back area is the best location for air-con then just do it. 3. More importantly, the Eight House theory is more about which direction is more suitable etc.. Rather than if we place such a such an item at our Excellent or Prosperity sector... 4. For a fish tank either go by personal feel or if you do know how to draw a flying star chart then; for example; one can benefit from water feature in a Water Star #8 (current prosperity - Overall career luck area) or Water Star #1 (coming prosperity) sector. Alternatively, one can benefit with a water feature at a location that has nasty #5 misfortune or #2 sickness location i.e. the "water" can help drown these bad stars. However, it would not be favourable to have a water feature placed at the Mountain Star #8 (current prosperity - networking, relationship luck). Try to imagine... this location is suppose to be a "mountain" and imagine you did a lake (fish tank) and the mountain fell into the lake.. Alternatively, this 20 year, #9 is a fire element and is also known as coming prosperity. A water feature particuarly at the Mountain Star #9 is also not very favourable as water drowns fire! Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Quote: Anonymous wrote: Good morning Master Lee, We put a central air conditioner unit in the back outside the house the South West, according to the 8-house direction this is our "Excellent direction" is this mean we block our good fengshui if so what is the cure for it? Also, we plan to put an aquarium in the West side back end of the house inside of the house "Health direction" just the fun can you tell us if this is a good location if not where is the good location. Thank you. any
  7. Dear Anon, 1. "The spice of life is - variety". 2. Thus an object usually may not necessarily fall into just one category of the Five-Elements. Thus since this is a green garnet, more likely as what you have mentioned; the primary element of this stone is the Wood element. However, since it is physically made of stone /gem, it can equally be considered as classified asan earth element. However, as often the colour previals, we can generally say that it is green = wood element. Again, there is no right or wrong answers. Just make sure that each of your answer(s) seems reasonable. Warmest Regards, Cecil. Quote: Anonymous wrote: What element does the green garnet gemstone belong to? Is it wood since it is green colour?
  8. Dear Anon, For the Chinese, in particular, when one is pregnant, one should not move one's bed. This is a taboo. More importantly, don't move your current bed especially before giving birth. Therefore, if possible, try to avoid moving any furniture (if any) inside your bedroom (master bedroom). As for other rooms or hallway furniture, for practical aspects, you should not participate in moving the furnitures. If possible, should there be a need for furniture to be moved at all, for yourself, try not to be around when they (it) the furniture are moved. We live in a practical world, and as mentioned earlier, don't touch your bedroom furniture... is good enough. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My sister who is staying in my house now will be shifting outthis Dec. She has to move some furniture out and we will also move some furniture around the house. Is this OK for me as I'm currently 7.5 monthspregnant? My friendssay that moving furniture in the house is not advisable during prenancy. Please advise.
  9. Dear Anon, For the ground floor, since there is a garage, best to close the garage door when not in use. Once this is done the middle door can still be left open without further issue. Thus if this is done, no longer compulsory to place the plants. For upper floors, try to close any one of the middleroom doors will do. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Dear Nichols, Frankly, there is no issue with either hard flooring i.e. tiles or wooden flooring. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. Dear Andy, An event's manager may be considered as a wood element. While a nutritionist especially if you do provide frequent advise to people can also be considered directly as belonging to the wood element. As wood element is about "growth/ nurturing", teaching, training andin thecase of an event's manager co-ordination. If so, if we strictly based on the FiveElements concept, metal destroys wood to create wealth. Thus without considering your personal traits or preferences, both are suppose to acceptable to you. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Sophia, I hope that your sister is OK. Yes, the roof tiles has to be replaced immediately even if she is not around. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Usually, the most obvious concern of this home is the 'T'junction that you had mentioned. In particular, the most vuneral part of the home is to check whether the main entrance or windows are "exposed" to this 'T'junction. If the main enrnace door or windows are exposed towards the 'T'junction, a cluster of bushes may not be as effective. Usually, the most effective is a "solid" wall or fencing would be better or safer. So long as one does not as yet stay in the new home, anytime of the year is OK to start renovations. However, if one has already moved-in; best for this year to avoid renovations especially at the NW (Grand Duke location which is the main door) and West (5 yellows) location. Usually, for the Chinese, we perform an "initial opening ritual". Please see attachment, below. As for the creek, usually, best to apply Flying Star Feng Shui to check how suitable is this "water position" in relation to the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Dear Hoa, In my opinion, what you had described; on it's own may not be considered as a change of the house period. Imagine this: it is akin to a person, changing his/her skin and yet the mouth e.g. (main entrance doors) remains untouched. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Hoa Luong wrote: Not just the glass, but all the frames were replaced also. Basically, I got all new windows including frames and glass (all 14 of them). Does this change the house period?
  15. Dear Anon, More likely, one does not actually attrack gossips. Unless one stays in a home where there are either a concentration or happens to sleep in or work in a location especially where there are Flying Star no(s): #3 (romance, scandals, gossips) stars! Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Good morning Mr. Lee, Is there a cure for someone always attract gossip (c fay)? He was born in 1962 March 01 the lunar calendar. 16. Dear Charlane, Traditionally, Chinese find it "offensive" for others to send a clock as a gift to them. Thus, based on this tradition, often we may see a school with a clock tower. And if the clock on such a tower faces our home, this is also considered as "sending" a clock to our home. An inauspicious connotation. Thus, the point in mind is that for those living in apartments, avoid placing a wall clock immediately facing our main entrance. Here, when we first enter our home, we should not be "greeted" by a wall clock. In addition, it is quite common for high rise apartments where the living rooms of two units face each other. We should also have the courtesy of not placing a clock in our living room such that it faces our neighbour's home. "Unless of course - one is so hateful of the neighbour" that one purposely place such a clock!" *JOKE*. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Johanna, In fact, many people would fall into your category of having chosen "wrong homes". What is more important is a "holistic approach" to Feng Shui. What you had mentioned is like the "tip-of-the-ice-berg". Generally, what you had described has to do with the eight house theory. It is only one of the sub-divisions of the Compass School Feng Shui. As mentioned above, a holistic approach is if one really applies Feng Shui to review or access a situation or home / office is to apply:- a. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui b. Compass School: Eight House with Flying Star Thus, what you had described is just one sub-division of the Compass School Feng Shui. A full Feng Shui audit usually begins with Shapes and Forms and coupled by Compass School Feng Shui. You could look into this rather than just superficially looking at the "tip-of-the-ice-berg". Warmest Regards, Cecil
  18. Dear William, The cure for star #5 with #2 (and hopefully not combined with #9) would be any of the following:- 1. Moving metal In the past, one can purchase those made in China mechanical alarm clocks that "tick-tock; tick-tock". It can be placed at a side table - one may have to get used to this sound - after-a-while. 2. Hang a 6 hollow rod wind chime (use the heavier clinger / weight) so that it does not make to much sound. Wind chime is preferred in a location - not the bedroom as too much of it's noise may affect some person's sleep. 3. Glass jar, filled with salt and 6 copper coins place e.g. at the corner of the window area. 4. Traditional Feng Shui masters ask their clients to place a "bottle-gourd" or known as "hu-lu" i.e. hung at the window or placed next to the bed (bedside table). 5. If moving metal cannot be placed then a set of six coins tied with red string is hung at the window area. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Dear master, My master bedroom islocated atSE of the house facing Swith flying star5 and 2. 19. Dear Max, For a strong fire person: best combinations are: 1. Earth (rectangular / square / yellow, cream or beige) with Metal (Circular / White / Gold or Silver) or 2. Metal (Circular / White / Gold / Silver) with Water (Wavy, blue, black or grey) Warmest Regards, Cecil
  20. Dear Anon, Bats are considered very auspicious for the Chinese. This link shows many pictures of bat graphics:- http://cgi.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=BAT&cat=all&bool=and&x=5&y=14 Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have moved to this place in July. 21. Dear Susan, It is best that you do not include the non-living areas such as a garage when determining the rectangle of the house. The sink and windows of the garage should also be discounted since it belongs to this area. If one is having a problem, try to use the 2nd storey outline to determine the "rectangle" outline of your home. Here, you would have already determined the centre-point of the home. And use this to match the lower floor - while "cutting" out the excess fat (garage area). The idea of the centrepoint is to find the "centre" of gravity in a home. (but discounting the garage area) Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Anon, Based on what you had described, this is not a "real definition" of such a leak. For this leak, it has to be a straight path from the main entrance door directlytowards the back or an opening. What you had described is thus a 90 degree turn from the main entrance door. Thus is not the same as above. It is best that you check for other "leaks" in the home, instead. 23. Dear Hoa, Especially, if only the glass has been changed, but not the frame holding it up, should not change the house period. Usually, additional things like removing the roof or changing the main doors etc... have to be reviewed to determine further if a change has occured or not. Warmest Regards, Cecil Hoa Luong wrote: Dear Cecil: A week ago, I had allthe windows (14 of them) replaced in my house whichwas built in P7. Does this change the houseperiod to P8? L Box

Dear Anon, No, generally, L Box is usually made up of "light materials" like gypsum board. And close to flat. Unlike a concentrated beam that often needs to support a structure. Thus, in my opinion, it is just a perception, then a real issue. For example, some say that a double-decker bed is not good. Because, sleeping on the lower bunk is not favourable. However, it is very common since the 1930's for many people to sleep on a double decker or bunk bed. Notice that it is one flat piece and not a concentrated beam. In the 1930's till to-date, many have entered universites, stayed in dormitories and have also sleep on double decker beds. No significant issues in health or "brain power". In addition, many in Singapore and to-day more so in Hong Kong; where space is a constraint, many still sleep on double decker beds.... Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Dear Cecil, Can you please advise is L Box (Light Box) celing design (12 inches by 6 inches)in the living room consider beam? if yes, any cures? Appreciate your response. Thanks and Regards,
  25. Dear Sharlene, Usually this term is used under Flying Star Feng Shui. Under Ba Zi, the equivalent is quite close to"nobleman" luck or indirect luck. So general, it ecompass anything to do with "indirect" luck such as luck for say the woman of the home - in her career luck. And often, it also refers to "indirect" luck that give rise to financial success. For example, the breadwinner is/was able to purchase stocks that "suddenly" rise in value etc.. Or a business opportunity out-of-the-bluethat brought alot of $$$ to the breadwinner. Warmest Regards, Cecil Sharlene Soh wrote: Dear Master, Could you please elaborate what is indirect spirit? Thanks. Regards, Sharlene
