Dear Master Cecil, Please kindly advise if it is ok for one to run the gas pipe above the kitchen entrance according to the below floor plans (the RED line indicates the intended gas pipe routing to the cooker hob). Is it against good feng shui if one is to enter or exit the kitchen entrance with the gas pipe that is being installed above the kitchen entrance? We have a concern if it is good for one to walk through the kitchen entrance with the gas pipe above one's head. Is it better for us to choose the gas pipe routing in the clockwise manner or anti-clockwise manner? Many thanks in advance for your advice. …

We are currently building our new house on a lot we just bought. It is still bare house at the moment due to short of budget. Our next plan is to construct the bathroom and toilet. I am just confused because my husband's Kua number is 9(East group) while I and my children have the same kua number 5(west group). According to Bagua, NorthWest belongs to patriarch/father of the house but it is an inauspicious direction to my husband's kua number. With I and my children, the location is an auspicious direction in terms of our health. What would be the best solution here? As much as possible, I don't want anyone of the family gets affected negatively if we put the toilet and …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I've used your free auspicious dates report to find a suitable date for moving house. I've attached the report. I'm thinking of 3 Apr 09 which is auspicious for both my husband (1st person) & me (2nd person). However, under the column for clashes, the report shows "yin-shen" & "shen-yin" for my husband. I'm not sure what this means & how does it affect the "auspiciousness" of this day. Appreciate your advice, thanks in advance. The column for clashes will usually show most of the minor clashes or harms that is found between the day and your chart. Usually any major clashes will appear in the main date column. Generally, what is i…

Dear Master Cecil, I recently bought a flat at Cavenagh Gardens, 73 Cavenagh Road. Do you have a view on the general fung shui of this development? Does it matter that it is very old (built in 1975)? Does it have any potential negative impact since it's adjacent to The Istana? Thanks for your kind advice. Best, Young Jedi

Dear Anon, It is common to associate `white' with purity particularly with the west. Chinese in some ways do associate white or `straw' clothing where it is worn during funerals. So far, under Chinese customs or practises, fences are never painted white. Personally, I have yet to see a white fencing both locally or on my trips abroad. I believe this is certainly a `taboo' colour even for FS practioners. The most common colour as you have mentioned for a picket fence is green. Most fences I come across can also be in black. Hmm.. as far I can remember, I seldom see a blue fence. In my opinion, green or black is a "better" choice. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil Thanks for answering my last post about trigrams it was greatly appreciated. I had one last question. 2017 has been a horrible year for me so far, what Queen Elizabeth II would call an Annus Horribilis. My great grandmother died I've been in the hospital twice And a job I recently started didn't work out for me so it's back to the drawing board. -My bedroom is and has been (for the last 20+ years) located in the South West location of my apartment which i share with my parents. -I was also born December 26th 1988 so I'm an Earth Dragon with a Gua No. 3 and Trigram "Chen" …

Good afternoon Master, I have uploaded 2 images, one shows the property before development . The other shows the property being developed. I am keen in this particular project R&F Princess Cove at Johor , Looking at the land parcel, it is beside the causeway, generally with slow moving traffic/jam. While another road crosses below the causeway, leading to a X sort of cross junction. This particular project is situated beside the main causeway as can be seen in picture 1 showing Phase 1 empty land. Picture 2 shows that the project almost completed. May I seek your advice on the feng shui of such proje…

Recently, we just went to site visit one of the new Sales balance flat unit. We spotted one unit but that unit's main door is facing to the gas/telecom room. (See "GasRoom.png"). It is not entirely facing to the telecom/gas room, but half facing. When we try to stand in front of this unit's main door, half of the view are blocked by that room's wall, and another half is unblocked. Picture "FromFrontDoorView.jpg" is showing how it looks like when we stand in front of our favorite unit's main door. Picture "sideview.jpg" is the side view of our favorite unit. Could you advise is this a good to take unit?

Hello Master Lee, My husband and I are want to build on a corner lot facing east which faces a beautiful creek with lots of trees. However, there is a storm drain on the left of the house and there is also one on the other side of the street with a lamp post. Pictures are attached. The red line is where the storm drain is. Is this feng shui ok? Please help!

I am considering this empty lot. The house-to-be will face SW, so the creek is right behind, connecting to a lake (Please see the picture creeklake.png). The main yellow shape indicate a potential house. The blue curvy line about 100 feet behind the house is the creek, and the lake between 300-400 feet away. The small yellow shape is a potential hobby house. The topography suggests that land is slightly higher at the front (SW) and slightly sloping towards the back. And the right side of the house is slightly higher than the left. First question: is this a good land to build a house? I am teaching at home, so I would like to use a sector towards the back of t…

I feel it is negative so I advised my friend to place a ba gua mirror on the outside, top of her front door facing that house to help with negative energies inside her house...am I wrong? (Btw her 17 year old daughter had fallen down the stairs inside the house which faved that front door and also has become very sick. Please...kindly advise. Thank you so much

Hi Master Cecil I was wondering if you could help me on how to find the centerpoint of my house. I read the instructions on the site but don't really understand the option for finding the center of gravity when there are multiple stories but each floor doesn't really match the perimeter of the floors above it. I live in a three story duplex townhouse which faces NE3 (52.5-67.5) and is period 7 The building itself is a rectangular block but the lower 2 floors are shared with my neighbor: 1st floor - only small foyer and garage belong to me, the majority of the area belongs to my neighbor (outlined with dashes) 2nd floor - living dining kitchen -- a…

Dear Anon, If your house is not too big, then, one should not try to divide each room into sectors. But instead, look at the centrepoint of the house. From the centrepoint, you should be able to properly determine where is the North, NE, South etc... of each area. For a start, it is best to understand fundamental Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. As usually, this is one of the key ingredients or one of the key success factors in the Feng Shui of any house. After this, than, you can explore the use of the Eight House etc... There are some resources at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm And if you are in no hurry, try to understand more, before `jumping the wagon' into Feng …
