Dear Anon, Quote: I am a bit confused with the explanation. I am 'weak water' element. Does that meant I should seek career in 'water' element? You are a weak water, because your 6% water is destroyed by 62% earth and your 12% metal isn't enough to strengthen you.Sothat makes you require water and wood elements. So yes, water or wood career elements are generally favourable for you. Please refer to this link for information about the five element and career:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Your wealth element is Fire.Fire element is the element that water must destory in order to be able to control it. As a weak water, you are like only a bucket water, how are you go…

Hi Cecil As you know, I am involved with a 30 unit development here in Perth. For AU$1.6 M you get 255 sq metres of indoor floor space and 155 sq metres of balcony and terrace. A huge price difference. Here, we do not have any developments like Sterling, mainly because we have much more room to move than in Singapore. I was interested to see that the swimming pool appears not to have rounded edges. Cheers Glyn

Dear Chai, This is based on the Eight Aspirations or Eight/Life Associations where North is the career sector. The above is based on the interpretation of the Gua Trigram where North = Career sector. Unfortunately, this is a general statement and is not personalised to anyone. It is like saying that North = Water sector. Due to the many other Feng Shui theories available which are personalised to an individual: especially Eight House Theory, Flying Star. In my opinion, I consider this Kindergarden Feng Shui or `pre-school' level. Here, it is too general a theory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Frankly, this is not acceptable morally in my country. As stagnant clean water can be a site for mosquito breeding. From a moral point of view, it may become illegal if this stagnant pool is found to be breeding mosquitoes. Perhaps, so long as your country does not have mosquitoes, then hmmmm... In the past especially 1960's to even early 1980's garage roofs always have a drainage pipe running towards the bottom. As the government found that many of these homes have clogged drainage pipes... especially due to debris like leaf falling into them, such drainage pipes are now totally banned. All roofing nowadays are purposely sloped to channel away rain water but no drain…

Hi, Not to be confused, usually gardens should have a balance between Yin and Yang. The easiest answer is:- 1. Rocks, stones and anything `hard' is considered Yang. 2. Trees, plants, water point are considered Yin. It is best to have a mix of both and you usually find a good garden have both features. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Usually, the "sunken" part or the lower level can be the living room. Quite often, many houses have `split-levels where there are steps leading up to the dining room. Here, it is acceptable for the living room to be at the lower level. Usually, this lower level is level to the house exterior or slightly raised up. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi everyone, Any body interested in chinese symbolism should try the book called "Feng Shui Dos & Taboos by author Angi Ma Wong. The best thing I liked about this book was that author has published a disclaimer on the first page of the book saying that all recommendations are made without guarantee on the part of the author. Basically author is merely presenting the information without any claims like other BTB authors who guarantee solution for every problem and pray on emotions of innocent public.

Hi, The element of pottery is Earth because it is made of `earth' or originate from the earth. Yes NE and SW are considered the Earth element. Therefore, some books ask that one place pieces of pottery at these locations. However, one can say that this is a " novice " method of looking at placement of objects in the home. Most authors will usually ask one to place water at the North or Wood at the East. Looking at it, I believe, this is very basic Feng Shui that should not be applied if you are using advanced theories especially the Flying Star. You should like what you have mentioned, look at using the Flying Star rather than such a very general theory. With a " 5 " you…

1. If you are able to analyse your home using a proper Flying Star Feng Shui chart; you can try to neutralise this issue by locating especially where is the Mountain star #3 and water star #3. 2. These stars #3 are related to issues such as what you had mentioned. If you are able to disarm or neutralise these stars; it would often help to relieve such a problem.

Hi, In my country, it is common to find pianos. 1. More often the pianos are the `smaller' versions not the large concert hall ones. For the concert hall ones, as it is `low' it can represent a `water position' and is suitable for a living room. If one can remember, under the Flying Star theory, we have both the mountain and water star. A living room is usually considered as having a water star because at the `center' area, you usually cannot find high shelves etc... Here it would be auspicious to have the concert (triangle) piano to complement the visitors chairs etc.. "on the other side" of the room. 2. For the smaller pianos, which is high at one end, it should be p…

Dear Jason, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, June 28, 1999 2:07 PM Subject: Office FengShui If you only have a partition, then you cannot really apply the Flying Star, as it is too small an area for a house/office evaluation type. You can make use of the Eight House instead to face and work in your best direction. The only way you can do it is to use the entrance to the entire office, then take the subsector which you partition resides in. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Balbir, Balbir Anand wrote: What is a good direction for a cooking Range to face in the Kitchen for harmony. In general, the best direction for kitchen should go to who does the most cooking in the house to feed the rest of the family. ie if the wife of the house does most of the cooking, then it is best you have the cooking stove/area face the direction she commonly use. This is to give her the best amount of luck when she cooks. You can use the free eight house report to determine the best direction for the person from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm The other method is to depend on the layout. Dear Tian Wan, It would seem to me that you are refering either to the ba gua or the 24 ba zi feng shui theory. However, in either case, it would seem that only South is good for you. North cannot not be good for you as Water destroy fire. Since you are a weak fire, water is bad for you. (This is assuming that we only take your element as weak fire ignoring other details) (Unless of course it is based on another theory etc) The other good directions are like East (wood) which helps to produce fire. 1. Feng Shui of the house itself should be good especially in key areas such as Main Door sector and bedroom of the breadwinner 2. The Main Door should be such that ei…

Dear Sushma, 1. In Singapore, often, I have only seen the lower income to `lower middle' income buy such objects. Rarely if any; do I see the mid-middle income to higher-middle income to the rich buy such things. This would `give' a clue as to it's usefulness. 2. Sometimes, it is not advisable to bring in any type of `figurines' into the home. There are often many situations where, (if in an occasion that) we bring in the `wrong things' than this can be detrimental. 3. Perhaps, try to SEARCH for " tomb " or " Japanese " where I had written an actual case of `inviting' the wrong spirits home. 4. I am not saying that your figurine has anything to do with or remotely to do w…

Dear Anon, Under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, it is best to look at the entire area and the interior of the house. Considerations such as: 1. Not only the creek but in general how is the plot of land. Does it measure up to good Shapes and Form. 2. Where possible, there should not be a water position in the house. This is one of the major `flaws' of the house. 3. In addition, think of the scoring in an `examination'. 4. Here, look out for the frontage of the house and neighbouring houses. Are there any poison arrows? If so, can they be cured. 5. Similarly, are there any vulnerability of the windows facing a poison arrow(s). If so can it be cured. 6. Since you a…

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned earlier:- 1. Usually there is no major impact on the placement of metal wind chimes other finding a family member sleeping close to it could perhaps have nightmares. 2. It is the belief that nightmares are usually cased by playful imps, and in some cases cause nightmares especially if metal wind chimes are used (in the West, NW - which are the metal element sectors). Because, of the time element, where, if one place a wind chime at a particular sector, utimately there can be a situation where, there could be perhaps too much imbalance of the metal element at a sector... and it could cause the above. One can chart this out say us…

thank you for replying to my question. i deeply appreciate it. if you can assist me a little more. i am thinking of extending the bathroom to a walk-in closet or Dressing room, so that when you walk-out of the bathroom, it is the closet of clothes that you will be in.. however, this would mean that the back wall of the closet would be the wallof mybed's headboard. and the door going to the walk-in closet would be in the same wall as my bed's headboard. will this be helpful or worse? in summary: Plan 1: to install a closet door on the entry way to cover the bathroom door, to make it look like a closet instead of an opening. Plan 2: as you walk-out the bathroo…

Hi, Please read below:- I believe you can see our stand in such matters. There is no such general tips that actually helps to enhance a person. The only true and effective way is to enhance one's self. Say for a weak water, wood is good and fire is a person's wealth. If you want to enhance wealth, you need to be with more of your wealth elements. If you want to enhance your weak self, say if you are frequently sick, then a good way is to enhance your water with wood. These information are normally found when you do a full pillars. And basing of the many information found in the report. It depends on what you want to enhance, then make provision by being with these el…
