Hi master as rooms are very small these days, I’m thinking of using a wall bed (also known as Murphy bed) for myself. Want to check if there is any feng shui implications of using a wall bed, and anything to look out for? this way during the day, I can keep the bed up and free the floor space for doing other things like prostrations/ meditation / floor seating / yoga etc. thank u

Dear Master Cecil Lee My current work desk direction in office is not favourable. I am seated facing North-East 35 degrees. Based on the design of the room, there is no way to shift the angle too much and shifting to north will make the table look awkward to anyone that passes by. Do you have advise for me?

Dear Master Lee We are looking at the attached unti. It looks like an L shape (front door facing SE1/SE2 and balcony facing NW2/NW3). Is this truly L shape where two rectangles need to be drawn? Or do we draw a square showing a missing S and SW sector (not so good for Period 8 and Period 9 due to missing stars and kitchen in wrong sector)? The missing S/SW sector is just a void, no adjoining rooms of other units. The second picture shows the floor plan of the building stack (unit is number 14). Thank you very much for your help. B

Dear Anon, Thank you for the link to the sitemap. However, there is no compass marking on the map thus cannot see the perspective from the Compass School. From (only) a Shapes and Forms perspective, without considering where is the afternoon or morning sun, the smaller units #07, #11 and especially #12 and #17 or #14 and #15 looks more promising as #08 seems to have majority of windows facing the opposite #05. Yes, although construction began in 2001-02, but because since no one has yet stayed in the home, it should be considered as a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, I recently came across some pointers with regards to Bedroom Fengshui. It is said that If the Bed is placed along a wall with a door, it is bad fengshui as (1) It is not in a "Commanding Position" where the door is visible (related to point 3) (2) Qi coming from the back (the reference did not clarify why Qi from the back is bad) (3) May get startled from the back and create restlessness However, I could not find any reference on Fengshui on the following diagram where the Bed is not exactly along the wall with a door, but the door is at the back slightly further down. For clarity, the bed is placed this way to avoi…

Dear Anon, It is important to remember to display the coins even if they are binded together. They will still show the number of coins i.e. 6 coins. But, if we stack the coins together (exactly) and tie them together, you would only see `one coin' but a very thick one coin. Here, unless one goes closely to count them, it simples looks like ONE coin although it is rather `thick'. This is why, one must string the coins and at a glance, show 6 coins. Furthermore, the red (as in the red string) represents the "fire" element to bind or control "big metal". As some kind of a check (and balance). The red tassle and infinity knot are simply meant as decorati…

Dear Max, 1. For a new home, one do not need to strictly adhere to the Grand Duke or Tai Sui theory. Especially if it has not even been stayed in yet. 2. It is always good to choose auspicious dates for: 2.1 Start of renovations. 2.2 Choose a good date for symbolic "move-in". 2.3 Choose a good date for actual move-in. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, N1 and S1 charts are nearly identical. With the exception that their Water & Mountain Stars are flipped as shown here:- N1 PERIOD 9 CHART For example North is 8 1 S1 PERIOD 9 CHART While S1, North is flipped as 1 8 instead This is simply the nature of Flying Star charts. Thus a N2 and S2 will share similar traits etc.... Warmest Regards, Cecil

This question is similar to the concept found under this recent reply:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=24209&new= Quote: Katrina L. wrote: Hello Master Lee, For 2009, the West is afflicted with the flying star #2 sickness star. My bedroom is located in the East. When I lay down in bed, my head is pointed to the West because it's a good direction for me. Upon reading your response to a related post, you said that when it comes to flying stars, the focus should be the location of the flying stars and not the facing direction. In that case, is it still okay for me that when I am in bed, that my head is pointed towards the West e…

Hi, the seller left the garden shrine (a four faces god altar) at their front garden and refuse to dispose it at their own. The seller claimed that there is nothing situated on it. What is the proper way to dispose it? or i can just hack it off as it is cemented on the ground.

Dear Kathy, For the purpose of drawing a Flying Star chart under the Compass School of Feng Shui, your home's facing direction should be considered as North. If the compass direction is exactly as drawn in the attachment, then it should be considered as Flying star chart N2 (352.5 to 7.4 degrees) or this is also a N2 0/360 degree home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Referring to the Seletar Springs Condominium, the roofs are pointed. Does this mean they belong to the fire element? If so, whatgroups of people (i.e. strong earth, strong metal, etc)aresuited to this type of house? http://www.singaporeexpats.com/singapore-property-pictures/condo/seletar-springs-condominium.htm

Dear Anne, True Feng Shui is not like `Credit Card' Feng Shui. One do not need to `purchase' something in advance in the hope that spending such money would get one riches. If one is not sure of where to place a picture of a waterfall, one should try not to place it. The other method is if one feels comfortable about it and really like the picture and have to `urge' to place it at a location. Ideally, pictures of water falls should not be placed in a bedroom. The more professional method is to use e.g. Flying Star to check if a sector has balance or imbalance. This theory can be used to check if there is or do not have an imbalance. If there is an imbalance and it is cau…

Dear Master, Just a general enquiry on door sizes and if there are any concerns. My main door is 7 ft high while I intend to install a sliding glass door separating the dry and wet kitchen. This however is 9 ft high. The location of the main door and sliding glass door is not aligned. However, I did heard that it is best to keep the main door as the biggest. As such, is it advised to reduce the height of the sliding glass door opening to 7 ft, with 2ft fixed glass panel? Or is it ok to still keep the glass door 9 ft high? Thanks and really appreciate the advice.

Hello, I'm looking to buy a house but I have been told it is an out of trigram house and advised not to buy it. However, the house is perfect for me on so many levels and it's layout and location is very good, feng shui wise. Where I live, it is very hard to find a house with good feng shui layout and good feng shui surroundings. Should I give up on the house because it is out of trigram? It is also a reversed house according to the flying stars for both possible readings but the cures for important areas are the same i.e. metal. Also, would restumping, changing carpets in the bedrooms, changing the kitchen floor, re-sanding the living room floor, changing the f…

Hello Master I am in the process of building my dream family home and reading through the web I could not find a definitive answer regarding the front door and front gate alignment. I am looking to build the gate similar to the photos that is attached. Please provide some insight as to this placement is good or bad or is there something that can be done to counter the bad. I know that the design of the wrought iron should have no sharps spear heads. Do you require more information such as floor plans or direction of front door? Thanking you in advance.

In my pair of Fu dogs, the male has the globe under his left paw and the female has a cub under her right paw. Can these be used at the entrance to our home? If so, how should they be placed?
