Dear Hock Chuan, ong hock chuan wrote: Hi, i am staying on the 14th floor in an apartment..just would like to know how to take and from where should i take the compass direction ? Is it from the main entrance to the apartment or the main door to my unit or from my balcony ? As you are staying on the 14th floor, this falls under apartment (8th level and up). Thus, your facing direction is taken from your living room/balcony facing. So stand inside your home at your balcony or living room and take a reading looking outwards. That willl be your facing direction of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Thank you for sharing with everyone this information. Yes, this general belief is considered by many FS experts specialising in Shapes and Form School. We can generally classify this as under " Symbolism " in Feng Shui. A few Taiwan FS Masters also warn of `innocent' objects such as a thin narrow Chimney as equivalent to a joss stick. The end result is usually calamity or death for family members. Once again, thanks for sharing with everyone this information. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under `modern' living with `compact homes' is considered acceptable to see the dining room when walking in. I understand your concern as some FS practioners believe that this is not `auspicious'. We have to face reality and many apartments do have such a configuration. In Singapore, in some of the older estates, this is usually not the case as the dinning room is further inside the house or next to the kitchen. Many new Housing Board Mansionnettes and private condominum buildings usually have such a configuration. Here we have to understand that more importantly there are higher priorities such as `worse' things like a toilet next to the main entrance, a toile…

Dear Anon, 1. The best way to understand web sites that promote: e.g. Helpful/travel, fame and reputation is to check out their PRODUCTS page. 2. In my opinion, in many or most situations, you will invariably see some or even many types of goods (at very high mark-up price) with the aim of making profits out of everyone. 3. This is especially in the USA: If we ever want to consult a FS practitioner in your area; ask this question:- "Is your FS fees fixed?" This is because, the FS fees may be stated at US$150, but when the FS practitioner comes, he/she may cart along a full suitcase of "valuable" FS items. At the end of the session, your total audit bill may come to as muc…

I was wondering if having an incompatible bazi means the end of the relationship even if we get along really well? (F Aug 4, 1996 13:30 born and M Mar 28, 1991 no hour) Is it possible for us to work it out or make it better? Guy also has a rat mom and has very good relationship with mom while girl has ox mom but is always arguing with her mom.

Dear Ber I really sympathise with you on this. It has more to do with e.g. personalities, experiences and even the person's upbringing i.e. human aspects than Feng Shui. I really wish I can help you but it is not within the true aspects of Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Caroline, For now, we can only look at it from the Shapes and Form perspective. 1. The plus point in such an arrangement is that there is no way, you have `bad sha qi' where Qi enters the house and exits it immediately e.g. a back door or back windows or balcony at the other side. 2. As you mentioned that it `blocks' the guest bathroom, this would be acceptable. Although, it would be nice if we do not have a bathroom so close to the main entrance sector. Other than the above, you may choose to do a Flying Star or if everything seems ok, dispense with such an audit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thank You Master Lee for your prompt reply. The B# is 4. So its mountain #8, water #6 and base #4 at my main entrance (not the facing). It is a HDB flat. Entrance door also facing a wall (the kitchen wall). Must I activate the mountain #8 at the entrance? If yes, what should I place? Thank You Emily free-advice Listmanager wrote: From: Cecil Lee Dear Emily, Given that the mountain star is #8, water is not a good idea here, since firstly water at an auspicious MS#8 can drown or "drop the mountain into a hole(water)" thus making it inauspicious. 1. It is good that you have observed that your daughter has "better" left brain skills (logical, mathematical...) than right brain (intuitive, subjective, spatial) skills. 2. In theory, better careers based purely on Ba zi for a weak wood person are careers in the water industry and wood industry. 3. Accountancy belongs to or is considered as a "metal" element career. Thus strickly based on ba zi to define a career, a weak wood person should be "surrounded" by water. As water supports wood. Only then can "metal" destroy (weak wood + water). 4. In my opinion, as parents, it is good to know but, I believe, you will also leave it to your daughter to pursue anything under …

Dear Anon, 1. For any new house purchase, it is always good to bring all family members to view the site to get an overall feeling of the place. 2. Under Flying star Feng Shui, currently NE facing homes have a better Feng Shui advantage as it is generally considered a better facing direction than some other facing directions. 3. For the Eight House theory, it is always favourable if the apartment fits the breadwinner. It is quite common both either spouse to be "opposites" east or west group. Although this is a consideration, other factors such as the Shapes and Forms and the Compass School - Flying star should also be considered. 4. As to whether to commit to purchas…

Dear Anon, The Chinese Animal Signs is based on Chinese Astrology. In a broad sense, it is the equivalent of say the `English' Astrology signs such as Gemini, Cancer etc... One should take note that Chinese Astrology is also called "Zi Wei Dou Shou". For those who are new and like to find out the 12 different Chinese animal signs can visit one of my earlier sites: http://www.lovesigns.net This site compares the compatibility based on a person's year of birth. One has to be cautious to use different animal signs to improve Feng Shui especially if one purchases `objects'. For example, it is in auspicious to place a picture of a hungry tiger who is on the `prowl' in the hom…

Dear Chetan, Thanks for your clarifications. It is good for you to read up on Shapes and Form School Feng Shui. It relates to the positioning of the bed. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/bedroom.htm I believe you should spent sometime going thru the materials on Shapes and Form in the above webpages or get a book on Shapes and Form. This is because, it is more important to take into consideration Shapes and Form and give second priority or be concerned whether your bed should be at north west or south east. Other topics on the website includes the kitchen etc... It is also good for you to look at some of the examples of the eight house at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house…

There are few considerations:- 1. Commonsense Feng Shui or literally speaking simply common-cowsense. 2. Sometimes the toilet bowl or wc shares the same wall as the wall of a bedroom. Here, a toilet does have sewerage pipes. It is due to this that it is not good to sleep NEXT to a sewerage pipe. E.g. sewer pipe embedded into the wall and one place one's face next to the opposite site of the wall. 3. Some don't like the bed too close to the toilet bowl. As if the lid is closed position; and if there are gaps in the seat; the micro-droplets will fly further and may even deposit onto the bed, bed-sheet etc... 4. The above are based more on cowsense right? 5. If none of these…

Dear CECIL, I had posted a similar question earlier. My confusion is that houses sitiing in the East directions are called EAST houses. Then according to this the house should face West(sitting in East),or North(sitting in South) or South(sitting in North) orNW(sitting in SE).Now out of these NW and W are not considered to be good directions for the East group people, especially if they happen to be Death and Disaster directions for an individual. Please comment. Thanking you very much.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We're are in the process of looking for another house. If we want to look for a house facing South, is it necessary to look for new houses i.e. build in the new period after 2004 or can we just buy a second hand house that's build in period 7 but facing south? Is there any difference buying a period 7 house and period 8 house? I feel that as long as we get a suitable house facing south, that would suffice. Would appreciate your early reply. Ideally, since we are already in a period 8 influence. It will make more sense to purchase a house that is built in period 8. This will avoid the need to worry about whether or not you need to fly a period…

Dear Varnie, Please see below:- Frankly, it is difficult to relate what you have described under Traditional Feng Shui as no analysis is done using all three major forms of Feng Shui: Shapes and Form, Flying Star and in Eight House analysis. At the moment, all I can say is that for currently under Period 7 (if the house was built between 1984 to 2003) the base chart of a West house is considered `very auspicious'. (Not considering the mountain # or the water #). You also may have to determine whether the frontage is `dark' or `bright' depending on say the amount of light that filters into the house. Assuming, that since, the West is where the afternoon sun comes in, …

Dear Anon, It is important to remember to display the coins even if they are binded together. They will still show the number of coins i.e. 6 coins. But, if we stack the coins together (exactly) and tie them together, you would only see `one coin' but a very thick one coin. Here, unless one goes closely to count them, it simples looks like ONE coin although it is rather `thick'. This is why, one must string the coins and at a glance, show 6 coins. Furthermore, the red (as in the red string) represents the "fire" element to bind or control "big metal". As some kind of a check (and balance). The red tassle and infinity knot are simply meant as decorati…
