1. Please note that what you had mentioned has more to do with partial breakdown of your elements. Often, in career analysis, another important factor is the element and strength one is: for examaple, a person can be a strong water person or a weak water person or a strong wood person vs a weak wood person. 2. Furthermore, the industry one is in and the job scope (job function) one is in is also considered. Brayden S. wrote: Master Lee, from my elements i have very high water element and low fire element. what should i do to improve my career which is currently not going smoothly. currently working in a manufacturing sector.

Dear Anon, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. I was wondering whether anyone would `spot' this and bring it up. As far, as I am aware, the most important considerations is to choose the date for the piling or symbolic start of the work. So far, I have yet to come across a single case of problems relating to offending the Grand Duke. Some may question the validity of the Grand Duke. But it is better to be on the cautious side. If one wants to ask me for the rationale why I believe that there is no problem for a new house is, if one believes in the Grand Duke Theory, the main thing that the Grand Duke has not resided in the home as yet i.e. he has not been `invi…

Dear Emily, If your wealth element is Wood, then you must either be a Strong or Weak Metal person. For a weak metal or strong metal person, his/her wealth element has to do with Wood. However, for a weak metal person, one cannot automatically gain wealth from "wood". This is because the weak metal person is too weak at the moment to draw wealth directly from wood. For a weak metal person, it is best to increase one's weak metal with (1st priority = earth element) and secondary adding more metal to metal. What happens if one is a strong Metal person:- Yes, in this case, finding a wood especially a STRONG wood person is good. Since wood is the wealth element of the s…

Dear Olivia, I have sketched out the basic good designs on the wall behind the head-board. Generally, the worst kind of head board is in the shape of "tomb-stones" & "circle" shapes. Quite similiar to the attachment - inauspicious wall facade design. Please click on the attachment. Olivia Kim wrote: Will it be possible to tell me if there are certain head board design types that are considered more auspicious than others? Can you share which of those are?

Dear Elena, Today, I would view, the flooring with a `different' view. In my opinion, I view flooring in relation to the Yin and Yang rather than the element of a person. 1. Preference would be for lighter coloured tiles than dark coloured tiles. Especially if the house does not get enough lighting. My view has `differed' in this view point that instead of looking at the elements and relating it to the persons, (5 elements), I go one higher to the Yin and Yang. The rationale is that it is more important to keep the house, `bright' especially the living room. For the bedroom paquet or wooden flooring is acceptable, which makes it dark (for some room) but in fac…

Dear Anon, 1. For coins such as those where we should step on e.g. 3 coins at the main entrance. Where stepping on the coins is like stepping on `gold'. For the above, it can be buried under a floor tile or place underneath a rug/carpet etc.. 2. For coins used as a `cure', it is my opinion and I believe the opinion of many FS practioners that it should be displayed and not hidden discretely. If you ask some practioners, they may say that you can hide it. It is my honest opinion and my recommendation, that it should not be hidden. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, No, one should avoid activating the mountain star at the front or at the main door. The point here to remember that activating a mountain star at the main door, the front or the living room is like `placing' a moutain at our `eyes'. We have to remember that the frontage is best to have clear space or a bird flying freely. The same concept applies in our living room. The mountain star (if there is one) is to activate e.g. inside a wall in a bedroom or at the back door area. The concept of mountain (solid backing) and the water (clear space) in front is what it all means. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My personal element is Strong Metal and suppose stay in a house facing east and house element is Wood. On contrary, inthe destructive cycle, isnt it strange that there is a clash with my personal element Metal against house element Wood ? This is confusing and please explain further. Metal destroy Wood. Under the ba zi the element your self can destroy is your wealth. This is actually a productive cycle. Thus, if you have a house facing East, this is a Wood house. Thus, this is considered under your bazi as your wealth element. The destructive cycle you are talking about should be Fire destroy Metal. If you face South for example, this would b…

Dear Master Cecil Lee, I've been following your forum for sometime and have learnt abit about Flying Stars and the five element remedies. Thanks for providing thishelpfulresource. But when it comes to actual application I'm not so sure and would like to have your valued opinion. Please bear with me and correct meif my understanding/questions was wrong/silly. Here goes : With the New Tiger Year 2010, 1) the Five yellow flew to the SW bedroomwith#7m, #7w,#4b natal stars. I used Yin water ( blue curtain) to counter the #7 stars. But with the arrival of the nasty #5 Year star, strong earth, I fearit might further strengthen the double #7s metal. My questionsare - will Y…

Dear Anon, 1. In fact, all scenery paintings have a touch of Yin and Yang. 2. In my opinion, I have not heard that it should only be displayed at the center or at the South West particulary the center. Thus, I personally believe that there is no `fixed' locations other than commonsense would say it it should not be placed in the toilet or kitchen. If one has a large painting, it would be best to hang it on a larger wall where it does not cover the entire wall, but sits there nicely. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Luna, Yes, you may place a metallic wind chime against #5. As moving metal is more effective against #5 as opposed to stationery metal e.g. 6 coins above the main door. Anyway, the lunar year for this year starts from 24 Jan 2001 and will end on 11 Feb 2002, soon. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Sophia Chia wrote: Where is the ideallocation to place theimage of the Kuan Kong orhang an image of Kuan Kong? Is it ok to place at the entrance of the house or at the living room. Understand it is symbols of protection in the home or office. Dear Sophia, This is not Feng Shui but rather, it is a common practise by many Chinese to place the Kuan Kong (holding a Chinese long sword) facing a main entrance. Since he is holding a sword, he should not be facing into or "looking" at us in the living room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Yes, there is a limitation with the Eight House / Eight Mansion concept. For example, if one cannot sleep facing one's best sector or direction, there is nothing much one can do UNDER this concept. 2. Thus based on this concept:- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach You are being realistic to say "am I stuck with this..." 3. In a holistic approach to Feng Shui, you may have to find other ways of "maximizing luck":- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks

Dear Marie, Usually, more importantly, the people who will missed one's loved one. And it is more of the love. Locally, it is a tradition, for some to even buy an altar (if the home does not have one) or not necessarily an altar but a specific table to place one' loved one (urn). And where possible:- 1. This should not be placed on the opposite wall of a toilet 2. If possible, the table (or generally we call it the altar table) should not be facing into a bedroom. Otherwise, a good location is around the living room / family room area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, For fishes, more importantly is the number of fishes kept. Here, there are three common methods:- 1. Based on one's Gua number or or 2. The element of the breadwinner. Here each element has a number. or 3. Some prefer 8 or 9 fishes. Another important point is to avoid using pyramid shaped fish tank. Some of the koi species have red and black markings. These are acceptable. Here, one can add a few other species such as `Tancho' e.g. with a circular patch on its forehead... In my opinion, the red and black markings is no issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My main door faces NE and it's missing the North Corner. What type of cure can I place to help with this. There are a few solutions for solving a missing corner. 1) For landed property: a) You can extend the roof to cover the missing area so that it no longer becomes a smissing corner from the top view. - Best solution. b) Create landscaping or rock landscape to project the outline of the missing corner to cover it. Or at least have a concere flooring to cover the missing area. 2) For Apartment - Mirrors placed on the wall of themissing corner can help toextend themissing corner. 1. As the saying goes: "location, location, location". 2. Frankly, many of us can only "so called pathe our home with gold" but when we look out of our four walls; we simply cannot change what is out there! Jolie Q. wrote: My new loft window faces East (I am kua #9 female). The street is half lofts, half warehouse buildings. Here, one has to appy commonsense approach. But sometimes commonsense may still be not good enough: 4. If due to the nature of the surrounding buildings; hopefully, the smoke from …
