Dear Vivek, Usually, it would be nice to take note that usually, when we type a note, it is good to use lower case. This is because, typing all the words in upper case, in the net is like " shouting ". I know it is not intentional but, it would be nice to remember the above:) I believe, you would have the Applied Feng Shui book, in one of the earlier chapters, it shows the relationship of family members in relation to the direction i.e. dining table. Consisting of a family unit of: Father, Mother, 1st, 2nd and 3rd sons/daughters. The above direction of seating is more commonly applied than what you had mentioned i.e. using the Eight House in relation to each individual. …

Dear Anon, It is very common for FS practitioners to apply basic Ba Zi. Most commonly, depending on the FS practitioners and their methods, usually, out of convenience or simplicity, some may simply use:- 1. Year of birth 2. Month of birth It depends on the practitioner. Some look at Year only, some look at month only some look at year, month, day and time. It is always prudent to ask the FS practitioner what level of analysis are doing for you. Some practitioners may apply Year, Month, Day and Time but this does not mean that all practise or sue same methods. The better FS practitioners would apply Year, Month, Day, Time and House of Life and House of Conception. This i…

Dear Koon Hee, Generally for main door you follow these rules:- 1. For entire buildling, you take the frontage of the buidling. 2. Fora particular shop/office within the building, you should take the main entrance where you and your client will enter in and out of the office. 3. Taking the frontage or office window is another way, but that will be taking the frontage of the office. Especially for offices which do not really need to have customers entering in and out of the house. From our experience, it is better to take the main door direction from the centerpoint of the office. Reason for this is because this way the sector where the main entrance fall under will b…

Dear Sal, 1. Size of fountains are important. Equally important is the sound of vibrant water flow. If the fountain is just a `tiny' fountain of no less than 3 feet or 1 metre in length, it should be considered more a decorative piece where one would have to fork out money like any other decoration. When we talk about fountains or waterfalls (real or artificial) they should equally be vibrant i.e. sound of water and not just water flowing gently. Here, one should consider such fountains as mere decorative piece of `art'. For dragon figurines if it is on a fountain, it is best to let if face outwards of the home. Dragons should not face into the house. Dragon `qi' usuall…

Dear Valeria, 1. The key to understanding the Eight House Theory is that one must be physically present at that location or spent more time at these sectors. For example, if it happens that your bed is at the South (disaster) sector, here, you are spending time at this sector. 2. This theory does not mean that one need to place a `cure' at the South-East (death sector). If one does not spent some time there, this is fine. 3. Contrast this with the Flying Star analysis where each sector has three elements i.e. #mountain star #water star and base numbers which is represented by an element each. Here, if there is an imbalance caused at a specific sector, then a balance or c…

Dear Rochiel, In my opinion, it is very diffcult to apply `sector' Feng Shui to one's life. As Feng Shui is all about luck, it would be best that one applies a holistic approach in trying to increase one's luck. However, under Flying Star Feng Shui, there is the #mountain / #water combination and for certain houses, their will be abundant romance luck; while for other houses non-exisitent. What can we learn from this? It is not always easy to rely soley on " Feng Shui " for our romance luck. And pin our hopes in it. We would have to "actively" pursit romance.. either letting friends know etc.... As to having flowers real or artificial; in my opinion, it is acceptable in …

Dear Jo Yong, In my opinion, one should take into consideration the `private' door into each apartments i.e. door (B) for Feng Shui analysis. If you have a sketch of the outline of the houses and its relation to the door (A) and (B), it would help to confirm the above. Regards, Cecil

Dear Kath, In fact, having a house number with a `4' in it very common, throughout the world. Given this situation, it boils down to our own personal `thinking'. Frankly don't think too much about it. A house number is hardest if not nearly impossible to change. However, if you live in a landed property, many people, have symbolically `raised' the lettering of their house number e.g. at the main gate pillar etc.. For example, the number raised looks like: 4 6 Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Frankly, withoutdrawing a proper Flying Star Chart, all advise, here is based solely on "trial and error" type of Feng Shui. 2. For example, under a Flying Star chart, one should have a clear picture of what are the star numbers # within that sector. And if that sector contains nasty stars like #3 or happen to have this star, then, in-deed a fire-place light would be useful to "burn" away this otherwise bad = quarrels, conflicts, legal entanglement star. 3. Some Feng Shui practitioners advise to use symoblic items such as placing a couple of family photos at the "romance sector". Another common item by modern Feng Shui practitioners is a pair of duck. This is accept…

Dear Rochi, Please see below:- This is because the normal Flying Star Feng Shui is meant only for a "horizontal" analysis. But it is not meant to analyse a ground level house no. For those who are not aware, this free module is available under www.geomancy-online.com. For other numbers, you may have to use other numberolgy methods to find out. 1. a garage especially with a vehicle has lots of metal and can be considered `big metal' element. 2. The other consideration is `safety' concerns. I am not sure how many cars suddenly burn by themselves but this is one of the considerations or the `fear' or unneccessary fear of it? There is a I am unable to comment on …

Dear Wasis, For info, there may be deviations in interpretation by many practitioners on this issue: 1. Fire element? Some FS practitioners may view it as a Fire element: 1.1. Some consider, electricity i.e. using the PC (chiefly thru electricity or circuit boards i.e. memory, cpu and hardware as Fire element. Where fire = electricity. 1.2 If the business is related to software production, and thru the end result the `package': A marketing or sales personnel, who markets the product can be considered under the Fire element. Or hopefully under the Fire element (with the hope) that the product can be successful i.e. `fiery' sales or preference for activity. 2. Water element…

Dear Norman, Norman Leonor wrote: I have a mirror 4feet by 4 1/2 feet standing infront my stairs upstairs.. Does this mirror have any effect on us and for the good chi or bad chi? Generally, it is not a good idea to have a mirror just at the stairs, simply because it can be a shock for people to see themselves when theyreach the top. Especially for those who are not aware that it is there. Furthermore, mirror if placed in bad sector, can sometimes bounce/create twice the bad luck. Hope that helps. 1. Frankly, this needs some analysis. 2. In many instances if the problem lies with the home, Feng Shui may help to "fix" such "leaks" and also improve the changes of conception. (Nothwithstanding other husband-wife - "medical" problems or age factor).

Dear Kem, You should make use of the three main theories: 1. Shapes and Form to look at the house and its surrounding. 2. Eight House to see how suitable, the house is to the bread winner. Plus take special attention to see the intangible force influencing the house. 3. You can check out www.geomancy-online.com as there is a Good House module. This was developed by us and so far, I have purchased three houses based on this module myself. Plus, I have generated it for every of my clients. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Linda, In my opinion, if the plum color looks more like bright orange or metal element, then, it is still acceptable given that your main door is at the South. Frankly, I am not too sure from your description whether plum color looks more like `gold color'. But if the color you mentioned represents gold color, then, gold or metal element is acceptable at the South (fire element sector). As metal (gold or white) is controlled by fire element. An acceptable combination under the 5 elements concept. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, Generally, at Geomancy.net, we focus on fixing the entire 20-year sector problems which usually affects the entire period. The yearly star changes each year, so if you can fine tune the cures and fixes for each year you can obtain the best overall cures or enhancement for your home. Note here that there are many people who worry that after 2004 their house will change to a period 8 house. This is wrong. Flying Star focuses on the Birth chart of the house just like Ba Zi focus on the Birth chart of a person. So for all those staying in a period 7 house (1984-2003), so long as you do not make any major renovation changes to the structure of the house, it wil…

Hi Anon, I believe, I had just answered this question regarding an earlier post just a few replied before this. It is not abour the air-con ledge, but rather the toilet which was too close to the main door. Having a toilet located very close to the main door is considered bad feng shui. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I am considering this empty lot. The house-to-be will face SW, so the creek is right behind, connecting to a lake (Please see the picture creeklake.png). The main yellow shape indicate a potential house. The blue curvy line about 100 feet behind the house is the creek, and the lake between 300-400 feet away. The small yellow shape is a potential hobby house. The topography suggests that land is slightly higher at the front (SW) and slightly sloping towards the back. And the right side of the house is slightly higher than the left. First question: is this a good land to build a house? I am teaching at home, so I would like to use a sector towards the back of t…

Dear Wasis, For flights, it would depend on the direction of travel and transit through countries. As the flight usually lasts not more than 15 hours, nowadays, in modern times, less concerned of many people of the travel from and to a particular destination with the advent for `heavy' globalisation and travel. Which is frequent. Please see below:- Usually, if the house has brought in `luck' the advise is not to `change' it including the frontage if we can. I believe, the change from a garden to pavement stones would have affected the Feng Shui of your home. Many Chinese who stay in Indonesia were not allowed to use Chinese/Mandarin names but instead to take on s…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am new to this website. Just curious whether are our destinies(study, career, marriage, etc...)set when we are born? Are we able to change or accept them as it is???? In general, under feng shui there is Heaven, Earth, Human luck. So under the heaven luck, it is often said that the kind of luck a person is supposed to have is generally pre-determined. However, since there are still two more factors Earthluck and Human luck, these two can still help to alter some of the given luck. For example, a good Earth luck can make an inauspicious 10-year luck better than it is predicted in the ba zi. Good Human luck ie having good relationship with yo…
