Hi, I can see your reason for concern. This is because although from your description, the park you mentioned most likely does not have water but most likely it is flat. Here there are a few considerations:- 1. You can always create a `solid backing' behind the house by having a fence. Good `fencing' includes materials like brick walls, fence with creepers. Fence with bushes in between or fence with privacy strips e.g. like those in army camps or wooden planked fences for privacy. 2. In addition, a few medium sized trees (usually not large trees) behind the house would be good. 3. This is not Feng Shui but ideally, the park should not be a play ground especially when ball…

Dear Anon, It does not matter if it is N-NE, NW-SE. But rather, often, the entrance is at the frontage of the building. And, if often also, open car parks are most conveniently location at the frontage or surrounding / around the perimeter of the building - taking into consideration, the movement in and out of the building. For example, in some larger buildings with only open car park, cars are often parallel parked in a one-way direction. Where vehicles come in at one direction and exit another direction. It also depends on the shape of the plot of land plus the outline of the plot of land. For example, if the front has only room for the entrance, but the back of th…

Dear Joan, 1. Usually, flooring of this nature has more to do with the ideal of "Health" and "Relationship" or whatever. 2. Often, parquet with or without it being considered good or bad, is much favoured then hard cool floor tile. This is because, wood is a very poor conductor. And the ideal here is that for those who sleep on the floor (floor mat), or if one just wake up and step on the floor tile it is not cold as compared to ceramic floor tile. 3. Therefore, for the Chinese, the parquet flooring is preferred in a bedroom condition. *joke* Hopefullly, the home is never near termite infested area else it is pure enjoyment for the termites. 4. For relationship, there ar…

Feng Shui of Waterwoods EC : Some bedroom walls are thin and not of concrete/re-inforced bar. For example, if one looks carefully at the attached layout; the wall between bedroom 2 and master bedroom is just a thin wall. Especially bedroom 2's wall is made of gypsum board; take extra care of EMF raditiation from the rear of the TV set if any. Please see attachment

Buangkok Tropica Sales Brochure: Site Plan and Floor Plans buangkok-tropica.pdf Completed 2018 Part 2: Feng Shui of HDB Buangkok Tropica 1. Majority of the stacks /units in this development face flying stars S2. From now to 2023, this is indeed a good facing direction. As the facing direction has the auspicious double auspicious #8 wealth stars. 1.1. Thus especially stacks/ units889, 901, 903 and 905 even if they do not face a water position; these two stacks/ units face what is called "virtual water" or clear space; directly overlooking the site reserved for a park. 2. In my opinion, no one has ever done so. Do take extra care when using an ordinary compass. As often, there are lots of "hidden" re-bar that can cause the compass readings on such a compass to deviate by alot. Often, try to stand on a grass area (but then again) and take several readings (if possible). Sometimes even grass patches have metal embedded below it thus again may cause the readings to deviate.

Part 2: The Wisteria Condo with Blocks 590 & 592 1. The streetdirectory workings shows a reading of NE1 25 degrees with SW1 of 205 degrees. 2. However, using the Sales Brochure, shows a totally different reading. Here, it is now N3 20 degrees and S3 200 degrees. 3. Although the deviation is only 5 degrees; this 5 degrees is at the fringe of the borderline of N3 and NE1 which resulted in two totally different readings. 4. Given the above findings; it is best that an on-site survey be conducted to confirm the Flying Star facing directions of these two blocks.

Dear Master Cecil, I live in a double storey terrace house. At the ground floor, my backyard was extended by erecting a wall on the left and right covered with awning, but the back is only covered with 2 feet concrete wall and grills up to the awning level. I didn't do any hacking at the back when I extended the backyard. Which means all the original structure and backdoor to the backyard remains. Whether the backyard is considered as part of the house when we apply eight mansion/flying star feng shui? I use the backyard as wet kitchen and hanging wet clothes. In the front part of my house, my car porch is located here and attached to the house without wall & door enc…

In a very recent forum reply, I mentioned:- 1. Acceptable to have blue roofing with white external walls. (or OK) 2. Grey roofing should also go with white external walls. (or OK) 3. Clay or orange coloured roofing can go with just any colour. This goes with maroon roofing.

Hi In order to create some unique design to my master bedroom, the ceiling was designed in the way that half of it waswith false ceiling. And next time my bed would be placed under it. From your advice, I understand that it's not favourable to place bed under beam but not sure for false ceiling. My mum was very unhappy over it & keep stressing that it's very bad.Attached is a photo of the design of the false ceiling in my bedroom. Hope that you could give some advice. Thanks & regard.

So long as the "top-view" it ain't look like a missing corner; whatever material that one uses to outline the house with say glass or concrete is in-material.

Dear Oliv, Under the Holy Trinity of Geomancy: 1. Heaven Luck - what is given to us 2. Earth Luck - Feng Shui 3. Human (man-luck) - human relationship factors and psychology Most of it, I would personally think would fall under Human (man-luck)! It is about firstly, -- our feelings... As you had written, one may feel quite uncomfortable or some "worries" of whether it can or cannot affect Feng Shui Another is about "face" or for the Chinese "prestige". A half-painted house that is left halfway unpainted for sometime could imply that symbolically or we are in "financial difficulties". I know some of us don't care "too-hoots" what the neighbour(s) say! But, all these d…

Dear Robert Lee Goodmorning, After focus our house. I found alot of error need to be corrected. 1. Have use the pre-paid credit flying star wrongly. As housedirection NE1 not SW. 2. Found the main entrance under breadwinner Gua 2 Prosperitylocation but thenbuild partition due of main door diagonallyface the master bedroom and toilet. As NE (main entrance)already brighten the area. Money drain out easily. Should Ibreakdown the partition (build early this year 2005). If I were not to break down the partition as to block the inauspicious location NE (devil's gate) and East line join NE apart of livingroom and office (East is Disaster) but suitable to me(Excellent).Breadwi…

1. Frankly, the number of pillars and glass is more symbolic or based on cultural preferences like Cantonese dialect group seems not to like 4 etc... 2. Other considerations include having an auspicious width of the partition. Most of the time, for government Housing Board flats, if the main door is immediately next to a side of a wall, then often, an optimium width of the partition is between 106 to 109 cm and if more exact, it could be 107 cm. Some partitions can be longer approximately 127 cm thereabouts.

Hi Master, I've heard that it is good to add a partition inbetween Main door and window to avoid the "Qi" from directly flowing out. But have also read that placing a partition after the main door is bad as it blocks the "Qi" from going into the house. Please advise if you would recommend placing a partition based on the floor plan. Thanks!

Dear Anon, This is actually a very common problem for a lot of people. This is where you need to adopt a give and take approach. When looking for for a home, you give the best facing (ie excellent/prosperity etc) to the breadwinner. In our traditional chinese culture, the man of the house is the husband or father of the family. Then the breadwinner will enjoya less suitable bedroom (ie spook/irritation etc). Given that the breadwinner gets his luck from the house, he can now give a better bedroom to his spouse. Thus, the spouse can have a less suitable facing of the house (ie spook/irritation etc), while a better bedroom ie (excellent/prosperity etc). This way you can …

Dear Philip, Frankly, in my opinion; the hand-me-downs you mentioned perhaps has more to do with co-incidence, than anything else. This is because logically, such items do not seem to pass down an illness or a situation. I would strongly thing that the hand-me-downs is not really a major issue. But, it is no harm playing safe - not to hand it over to your new born. So far, the incomplete picture is that Flying Star feng shui has SE as #5 at this sector. Please check to see if the room does not have earth tones especially yellow, cream or beige or fire tones e.g. red, pink or purple in this room. As these two elements are not favourable for this lunar year at SE. Wishing y…
