1. The concept, is similar to "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". 2. In addition, imagine that we have or had already invited a "deity" into say our home. And if we are not changing to a new home, it would be "impolite" to shift the god or worse, have anyone seen an altar on wheels? 3. Once we have settled the altar, (the first time we moved-in), best not to "unseat" or worse "distrub" them. 4. Thus the most powerful important thing is "unless we have a good reason" don't distrub your exisiting god or "deity". Unless in the first place, they were wrongly placed or posited. Such as placing the altar facing a toilet or sharing a toilet wall etc....

Dear Chee Foo, Please see below:- Since your flat is so high, you should take North as the facing direction. Frankly, for a standalone (landed property) home, it is much easier to fly over the new period. Since for the landed property, removing some of the roof-tiles and replacing them (plus cleaning the rest) would help. Dear Anon, There is some truth in this. The rationale is because usually, at (high or higher levels) the statues will not "clash" with our normal living. A. "Salivating at what we eat or drink!" Most often many of us have limited wall space in a home. And it is very common to find the statues facing e.g. the dining table or the living room coffee-table. In such examples, placing the statues at low levels would imply that they could literally be "eyeing" what we eat or drink! And thus considered disrestpectful. Dear Anon, In a real world situation, lets be practical: in a human situation, there are two main parties involved: the Feng Shui practitioner and their clients. Hi Cecil, Kindly seeking your help. Im in the mist of planning our renovation, and we found a nice spot for our living room. Located in the north west of the house. The only issue is the partial living room is under a upstairs toilet( masterbedroom toilet), above our sitting area is the upstairs balcony , but the television and coffee table will be under the toilet.Should i be concern?My couch will be behind a curtain window, is that alright? or should i out a a cabinet behind the couch ?( that would mean the couch will be heading toward the upstairs toilet. Dear Anon, 1. If there are different `Gods' one should place them with a gap in between the altars. 2. The altar can be on the same level and simply leave a gap e.g. 1 or 2 inches between the `Gods'. Alternatively, another method is to use support to raise the `Gods' and leave them at different levels. The more important `God' should be highest and preferably in the centre of the alter placement. Do note that `raising the level of the Gods is not compulsory but just another consideration (instead of leaving a gap between the figurines). 3. These are some considerations: 1. Cremation is neutral i.e. "ashes to ashes". 2. Therefore, there is no major issue in it's placement. 3. Under Vastu Principles (Indian concept of Feng Shui); best not to place their puja (altar room / table) aligned NE to SW and vice versa. 4. Currently we already have a Fu Lu Shou placed close to our dining table area. Recently my husband's aunt has converted to Christianity and is passing her Fu Lu Shou statue to us and now we have 2 sets of the Fu Lu Shou statue. Many geomancers consider the following: 1. Preferably an altar should be made of wood or concrete. 2. An altar should not be made of glass. 3. It should be of a favourable dimension. 4. The joss stick urn/holder should preferably be made of brass and not glass or marble/earth element. 5. Hi Cecil Thanks for your advice. Currently, the water feature is on a separate table at a lower level than where the Kuan Yin is seated. As suggested, I will try to place a lotus leaf (real or artificial) in the water feature as well. Thanks.
