1. If you have a sketch, it would be better! 2. Overall, so long as the spiral staircase is not facing the main entrance door directly, this is a plus point. 3. Is the steps for the spiral staircase fully covered or it is one "plank" onto another "plank" with open spaces in-between.

Frankly, it is beyond this forum as there is very limited information to go on. It may be a coincidence and/or a contributing factor. In general, a spiral staircase is always not the best choice in a home: as if you have check pastmessages; somehow, it is not "friendly" to the flow of qi. In order to reduce the bad effects (if any) The Concept of Maximizing Marksis always a sound way of trying to reduce bad qi and to try to improve the "marks" for a home.

Dear Master Based on the east house orientation, my daughter's bedroom falls between the "Spook" and "Health" sector. By placing the bed along the Health sector will face the bedroom door which I understand is also no good. I would to seek your advice and how I can remedy it. Thank you. Ivan

Dear Brenda, Yes, a small decorative screen next to the toilet so long as it is sufficent to block the view of the toilet and not the whole bathroom would suffice i.e. OK. For a mirror facing the front door normally this would not be advisable as it would reflect Qi or disperse Qi and may not be that advisable. It also depends on other factors i.e. distance to the door etc... If a mirror has to be used, a sloping mirror (similiar to those found at some shop shops for customers to view a pair of shoes) i.e. sloping would be an alternative where it is not perpenticular to the door. Dear Julie, Thank you for your description. In my opinion, it looks like your main door is not under any `threat'. A `threat' is where one of the pillars seems to slice thru the main door i.e. if one stands at the main entrance looking out; one of the pillars should not be slicing into the main door area. Overall, in my opinion also, the square pillars are of minimal or negligble `threat'. This is unlike the `mass' of a large building's edge. In my opinion, it is perfectly acceptable in your situation (unless one of the pillars slice thru the main entrance door area). Dear Jen, For a staircase, the major considerations are: 1. Number of steps 2. Avoid having the steps face the main door. (Here, a partition or screen should be used). 3. A set of staircase, should where possible have a landing or two landings if the upstairs is high. 4. Preferably avoid a circular staircase, especially if it can be seen from the main door. 5. Where possible, each step should be `covered' up and not `see thru' i.e. planks placed on each step. 6. For the position of the stairs, where possible it should preferably hug or share an external wall. 7. Anything else, will have to be looked at on a case-by-case basis. Hi, This is regarding a staircase, I heard this from one of my friend that the number ofstep should be event number not odd number. And i went to count most of the staircase going up has 7 steps and another 8 steps to reach to 1st floor. Any advise or comment on this? I also have stairs facing the front door and have tried a remedy. I put an end table at the bottom of the stairs,against the wall.It has a colorful arrangement of silk flowers on it. Opposite this wall is a face level mirror which holds a smaller arrangement of flowers. I think it is working because people who come in have not even noticed the stairs when I've mentioned them shortly thereafter. Does this sound sufficient, Cecil? Thx.
