Is the concept of Feng Shui applicable to rental properties? Dear Cecil, This house that I'm very interested in buying as a rental property, is in a great location and the price is right. What has been keeping me from making an offer is that this house faces North which is my "Disaster" direction. I'm also a Strong Water. I would never buy a North facing house to live in, but will I get BAD luck if I buy it to rent out to other people? Thank you! Hoa

Dear Janna, Usually, the type of cure will depend on the number and type of # number at a sector. Since the sector already has 7 x 2 (small metal); followed by a #2 (sickness), then one set of 6 coins would be appropriate at the specific sector. Please try to determine exactly where the North is? The door closes to this North --- the six coins placed here. Do try to check whether NE or SW has also any other #2 or #5 within these sectors. If so, and if your other doors falls close to it, and IF these sectors e.g. NE and SW are equally out of balance especially if there are further #2 with any other #5 or #3 or #4 then these sectors are candidate for additional six coins ea…

Dear Master, In many fengshui books, there is always mention of pillars and its problems. But how do we define pillar? On the left of attached photo is how my office building looks externally. I have marked an arrow pointing at something which looks like a pillar. The right photo shows what is behind the circled portion of the left photo. This is essentially a corridor and my office main door is facing the said wall (the red arrow points to my main door). Hence is it harmful or harmless that my office main door is facing this piece of wall? Especially if it seems to darken my stretch of corridor? Please advise, thank you. Regards, Sean

Dear Master, I read in a Flying Star Feng Shui book by a famous author that you can change the Flying Star natal chart of the house by remodeling. i.e. if you have a house that is built in period 5, you can change the house into a period 7 (if remodeled in period 7) or period 8 (if remodeled in period 8) house by putting in new roof and new carpeting or flooring. Thus the old house would have a new natal chart in the remodeled year instead of original built year. Is this a valid statement? So if I buy a house that has bad flying star natal chart, I can remodel the house and make it have more auspicious flying star natal chart based on the new period. Thank you in advance …

Hello there, I've received my full Bazi reading (plus career) and it says that I am a weak metal person with too much fire in my chart. In addition, I have a Creative Star in the fieldsof advertising, writing, marketing, art.My career element is wood and fire, but that my lucky elements are earth and metal (because I'm a weak metal). As a result,I cannot work in my career element of fire, and as for the career element of wood, it says that I can do it only if I am in contact with Earth element constantly. In addition, my life analysis tells me that I am destined for a hard life from the age of 30 (and I am 27 this year!!) I just don't know what to make of my reading. It …

Dear Master Lee, I recently got interested in Feng Shui and found out that certain toilet placements in the unit that I am renting is unfavourable (please correct me if I am wrong). I have attached a picture of the floor plan showing the sectors of my unit. 1. The toilet that mainly concerning is the toilet that is located at the main entrance (Southeast). Not only is it located at the wealth sector, it is very near the main door. Is there anything I can do to remedy the negative qi of the toilet with regards to its sector, and also placement near the main door? Also, is it still advisable to place a water fountain on the left side of the door (looking out) to a…

Dear Masters As indicated by Master Cecil some time ago, the units #20 and 21 of Block 90 are the best units in Lakeholmz. I noticed that these units are actually east-west facing where the living room windows face east and the afternoon sun is directly at the main entrance. Does this then affect the feng shui of these flats?

I have looked over the charts several times and can't figure out where to place anything. We have windows on 2 walls, a door on another and the 4th wall is just not big enough to place our bed. also we have bedroom furniture passed down from my husbands side of the family with huge mirrors that no matter where they are positioned face the bed. I removed the television and book shelf from our room but that was about the only thing that I was able to do.

the hallway in our property has the flying star combination of 7-6, 7 being the Earth star and 6 being the Facing Star. I read that 7-6 indicates potential robberies, loss, theft. Plus the house's facing direction is my husband's irritation direction, which also portends losses. do you think this is a serious matter which requires a fengshuiremedy? and what remedies would you recommend? also, the staircase is in front of our front door. i seem to have heard that such a placement can be bad, but can't remember why its bad, etc. can i place a fountain, fish tankor a plant there to make it better? as i have heard that plants or water are good for remedies. please advice! Th…

In my opinion; majority of Geomancers may consider one's gender at the time one is born when considering one's facing direction. Thus if one is originally born as a "baby boy"; then this should often be the used, instead.

based on our free analysis. southwest is our disaster and spook direction but our master bedroom is located there. and our bed (head) is also pointing southwest! if we arrange it to : 1) bed (head) pointing south - the bed head will lean on the window. 2) pointing north - the bed will be beside the door. and pointing east is impossible as there is a cabinet. any cure?

Appended by Cecil: Sorry did not see the attachment to this posting. Thank you. Hello, I am writing to you from the United States and need your advice. I've attached a picture of the home and the floor plan. Via the Eight house chart, the optimal main door position is SE. N, E, S are also relatively good. The house was built in 2002 and the front door is facing due east. I could not edit the floor plan to show due north. 1. How do I find the center of the home. It is an "odd" shape and not your typical square or rectangle. 2. Also, at the front of the house, as you can see from the floor plan and picture, there is a large water fountain. Is that bad feng shui for me? …

Dear Sir/ Madam, Recently I bought a new house and have only just discovered it has really bad fengshui. For example, my house is a period 7 S2 facing, and the only bedroom is located in the North, which has a period star 3, Moutain Star & Water Star 7, as well being the 3 killings direction this year, and which happens to be my Liu Sha (6 killings) direction. I can't move, as I have spent all my money on this house, and my health is just going from bad to worse. What should I do? Any advice would be much appreciated. Yours Sincerely, Violet

Dear Sir, Thank you for this informative site. In my country we are heavily charged for consultation from practioners for yearly cures,so annual star changes also means losing from pocket every year, isnt there any cure that can be made permanently, does door tilting help in that context.I have also heard of a fengshui theorywhere only heavy and light weight furniture is placed to balance the energy I intend to learn flying star fengshui from you, please provide me the details and fee structure I had read somehere that placing chiming clock in yin area gives rise to mental problems .so should chiming clock be avoided in west (MS2,WS5,BS8) and north (MS5,WS8,BS2) a…
