Dear Anon, Usually, what you had described is considered under the category of "Commonsense approach" to Feng Shui. This is often considered inauspicious because that there may be a probability or "a higher risk" of landslide. Especially if there is unduly a heavy rain and plus soil erosion. Because of this reason, it is considered inauspicious under Feng Shui. However, if this is not a concern, then, frankly (in general) there is no issue. Hi there, I am facing terrible problems in family relationships, health, finance, andc career.. Since the time we have moved to this new place... everything in life seems to be messed up.. Dear Ber, (This is not based on Feng Shui). It is best that you should not bring your 8 month old baby to the wake or funeral. As you have mentioned, there are cases where the baby will cry non-stop after coming home from such occasions. Dear Jeanette, Yes, it is preferred that a water feature does not face the main entrance. This is because, this is symbolic of wealth flowing out of the home. If you intend to install a granite wall feature, try to avoid a highly polished granite or marble wall. Since if it is reflective, it is like a mirror. Hi Anon, Our system uses western date and time of birth as the input parameters. It will convert the western dob into lunar calendar for analysis. You will need to use the western dob to use our analysis. Based on your lunar calendar 21 day, 4th month, 1974, your western dob is either 12 May 1974 or 11 May 1974. Depending on whether you are born on the 1st 4th (Big Moon) month or the 2nd 4th (Small Moon) month. This is because that year has an intercalary lunar month. So there are two 4th months. Dear Al, Please see below:- Please note that Eight House cannot be used as a cure as the Eight house does not relate to the Five Elements Concept. There need not necessary be a cure for devil's gate. As mentioned earlier, the Eight House cannot be used to implement changes or `cure' imbalances. Dear Mitesh, Candles has been used in-the-past basically because there were simply no electricity i.e. no harm. The only caution is to stay clear of moving wind or curtains or anything close-by that can be inflammable. As candles give off heat, it is also about circulation of heat and air. Dear Ann, Frankly, in my opinion, I don't see any issue or problem using it. So long as, it should not be visible when one stands inside the home. This is because, symbolically, it is not good that we in our home see a "sha qi" or poison arrow. This is much like the concept: if we are to place e.g. a twin lion, it should preferably to plump (prosperous), smiling (harmonious) vs a fierce and ferocious item. Hi, Here, you must note that there is a `Ranking' or `Priority' i.e. it is more important to be at a good sector of influence rather than face a good direction. For example, if you are constantly sleeping at one of your auspicious/good sectors, this is considered good. It would be better if you can sleep in a auspicious/good sector and also face a good direction. Contrast this to sleeping in an inauspicious sector but facing your good direction.
