Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I was born in Asia but i moved to somewhere else and the times are different. Should i apply the dates found in the Auspicous dates finder according to the time and date of the place i am living in right now or the time and date of the place i was born in (so a day might start at 1 pm here, if it is midnight where i was born) I'm confused because all the ba zi reading and auspicous dates are connected with my date of birth, but since as i moved, the date and time of the place is different, but it doesn't mean i lived more or less than i would have lived if i stayed where i was born. Thank you Actually, the problem is that the more you want to…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello, we have just started house hunting and to our dismayed, landed property prices has gone up like crazy as compared to Nov last year. I was told by someone who knew a little bit about FS advising that we should look for a property on the last quarter of 2007 or best in 2008 whereby there will be a correction to the current uptrend. What are your advise please as you are a professional master. Thank you. Frankly, although we are able to forecast an individual's luck for the entire life, not every decisions to be made based on feng shui. Investment Opportunities (ieinvesting in stocks and shares)for example cannot be made based on feng sh…

1. Further to what I had mentioned, even the country with one of the largest population and the country where all Chinese come from celebrates Chinese New Year from 14 Febto 16 Feb: TheSpring Festival. http://www.worldtravelguide.net/country/58/public_holidays/Far-East-Asia/China.html 2. From the above link, the mother of all Chinese culture also uses purely the Lunar calendar and not Xia (Hsia - seasonal) calendar. 4 February 2010 is no where to be found although it is Xia calendar's Start of Spring. 3. In fact, Taiwan, which has the largest pool of Chinese outside of China does not even consider 4th February anywhere in their calendar as a holiday. Taiwan has the lo…

Hi Anon, Quote: I'd like to find out when is the Qing Ming festival in year 2006. Does Qing Ming always start and end on the same Lunar Calendar dates every year? The start of Qing Ming Festival is always on 4th / 5th / 6th Apr (Western Calendar). Some modern people will start Qing Ming as early as two weeks before, whereas most people will do it within the month of Qing Ming. It can last for as long as 1 month. As such there is no fixed date for the end of the Qing Ming. Start of Qing Ming for 2006 is 5 Apr 2006. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, 1. The worst senario is where the front door meets the balcony or there is a direct path from the main door (exiting) towards a window, or balcony. However, this is easy to solve as most of us are aware, to place a screen or close the side of the balcony glass facing directly the door. 2. For the case of the bedroom door facing the main door, this is less auspicious than Para 1. You can still close the bedroom door when the main door is open. (I can understand the problem of placing a screen here). It is still best to use a screen if the main entrance door is next to a wall. This is an ideal situation for placement of a screen. But if the main entrance opens to…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Based on a couple's birth details, is it possible to tell whether a particular year is a good year for them to purchase a new house, property? The ba zi can only tell you what luck you are supposed to enjoy in any particular time and period. This is often used to check whether it is a good date, good month, good year etc. So you can make use of it as a guide whether this is a good or bad year to own a property etc. However, purchasing a home is only one aspect. Finding a good hosue that fits the family and has good overall feng shui luck is more important. This is because the house luck can adversely influence your ba zi given luck. Thus, fi…

Dear Ben, Yes, if it is a Ba Gua mirrior, it is indeed octagon shape and not round. But, the one that is normally used for your rental home, should be red/green in colour - (usually with a flat mirror). Alternatively, try to get one with the ba gua mirror and the picture with a door god below it. For the time being, you can use a circular mirror. The best time to hang the mirror is:- 1st choice - the 1st day of any lunar month. (Preferably on any months other than the 7th lunar month). The good dates to hang the Ba Gua mirror is:- January 27, 2002 - 12th Lunar Month The 1st of each Lunar Month is also considered a good date to hang it. Alternatively, a more personalised …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: i was born on 26.10.1971 at 6 am in india(kerala-quilon).now my question is when will i get pregnant.my partners date of birth is 16.05.1972 Frankly, there is no way to forecast when you will be pregnant. This is because it takes two different individual to make it happen. When it will happen will really depend on the both of you (if there are not health issues regarding having baby), then the rest depends on both. You can probably use like Ba Zi to determine which date is better so that you have more luck into having a baby. But otherwise, no way to really forecast from feng shui perspective. This depends more on your own human luck and eff…

Dear Anon, Wu and Chen are by themselves a Self Punishment sign. This already means that there are some kind of misfortune to occur. As to the severity it depends on the type of additional clashes combinations or situation which they occur in. Just like any clash or harm, there are good clash and bad clash, so it all depends on the situation. However, it is generally said to bring some inauspicious situation, especially when Wu meet another Wu or Chen meets another Chen. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Elizabeth, In my opinion, the placemetn of e.g. family moneybox does not feature prominently in many schools of Feng Shui.' The only school of Feng Shui which is related more towards buddhism i.e. buddhist belief of the Eight Treasures. Feng Shui practitioners with such buddhist inclination often make use of the term Eight Treasures. And in fact, they ask their clients to bury e.g. the Eight Treasures (prior) to the house being ready at the main entrance and corners of e.g. the living room. I believe, you treasure your family moneybox and do not want to see it `buried'. As shown in the above example. You can choose to place your family moneybox in the living room or…

Dear Linda, At locations like the NE (Devil's gate) and SW (Devil's backdoor), it should not be a concern unless: 1. The location becomes too YIN. For example, one grows a large tree. A large tree creates shade and makes that area too Yin. 2. In such a situation, it increases the YIN and more likely, prone to effects of `evil influences'. 3. One can also use the Flying Star chart to check on how much Yin influence is in a particular room such as the North East. If there is too much yin elements plus it is contributed by Para 1, then more cause for concern. 4. I believe, by asking some of these questions, you are `new' to Feng Shui and Chinese Divinity methods. My advise…

Dear Kay, 1. Placing the figurines in the living room is indeed the most common location. 2. In my vast experience visiting Chinese homes, I have observed that the Fu Lu Shou figurines are typically placed on a display table, often on an open shelf. This practice is widely followed. 3. Placing the figurines under a waterfall is not a common tradition. 4. While some may pour virtual water on the figurines, I personally do not recommend this as it is best to stick to traditional customs. 5. It is crucial to ensure that the figurines are not placed below a beam and to adhere to other guidelines such as avoiding placement on the opposite wall of a toi…

Dear Anon, In Geomancy.net, there are free tools on Flying Star Feng Shui. Flying Star comes in two dimensions: A. Horizontal Flying Star or Xuan Kong Feng Shui. Vertical Flying Star House Number for Apartments This free analysis can be found under http://www.geomancy-online.com I sincerely hope all users in this forum be more `pro-active' in their quest for knowledge. Hi, Basicially, Feng Shui is not a religion and thus there is no relevance to statues or `statue worship'. Feng Shui is both an art (Shapes and Form) and a science (Compass School: Eight House and Flying star). For those who are not aware, the Dragon Horse and the Dragon Turtle statues are derived from the two stories of how Fu Xi, a Chinese Emperor discovered the Luo Shu grid which is the mathematical formula on how the Flying Star base numbers, water and mountain stars are derived. The url for this story is under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/tortise.htm Similiarly, Flying Horse (Dragon horse) tells another story of another pattern found on this horse. I guess, some enterp…

Dear Marie, Frankly these are text-book examples of Feng Shui. Symbolically, 3-coins represent: 1. The number 3: represents the wood element. 2. The metal coins: literally mean metal element. Under the destructive cycle of the Five element concept: Metal destroys wood element to create `wealth'. Go around Feng Shui emporiums espeically internet Feng Shui stores and one will find lots of excuse to try to sell as many of these as possible. One may thus end up: Placing this three-coins under the floor mat, inside the ledger book, inside the cash register, inside one's wallet. Perhaps, the Feng Shui emporiums are laughing to the bank! One question asked: Since carrying the 3-…

Dear Hung, If one applies the Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House (Ba zai) and/or Flying Star Feng Shui the basis of this School has to do with the magnetic compass and not geographical compass. Thus, for any home / office /building /site investigated via the Compass School of Feng Shui, a magnetic compass has to be used to determine the magnetic north and other cardinal points etc... For the purpose of evaluating any site / building or interior, one has to determine the "center-of-gravity" or the centrepoint of say the layout plan of the interior.

Dear Lynn, Anonymous wrote: I am reorganizing the front entry to my house and need to move all the books. I want to move the medical reference books to a place that will not create any bad energy. Where is the best place to keep these in the house? Generally, books are simply knowledge. As long as you keep them neatly in the shelves. It won't really create bad energy even though medical is often related to yin. So just place them in the your study. If you are really so bothered by it, try to get covered bookshelf so that the books titles are out of sight (hidden inside the shelf). In feng shui, what you can no longer see will no longer becomea threat. Hope that helps. …

Dear Cindy, 1. Most of us would love to hear that each of us have a specific "wealth area" in our home. 2. Sometimes, this can work `against us' for the benefit of those who sell products. 3. In true traditional Feng Shui, `wealth' can be looked at as follows:- 3.1 In our ba zi, e.g. terms like "auspicious wealth" luck period often means either having children or if it is found in our later luck periods e.g. 50's or 60's then it is most likely; grand children. 3.2 This is because in the past, China was an agricultural society. And it is said that the more "hands" the better to help toil the soil or plant the seeds plus harvest. 3.3 Today, our wealth under ba zi is still o…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is diagonal and the south west corner has a closet and stairs. Where is my wealth corner? Please help! See attachment. Thank you. In order to know where is your wealth sector in the house, you need to apply the flying star concept. You can use the free flying star report in our member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net In general, depends on which period the house was built (ie period 8 or period 7). ie Period 8 house, the star 8 found in your Mountain Star will be your Unexpected Wealth (ie Pian Cai), while the Water Star will be your Earned Wealth (ie Zheng Cai). Sodepening on where you can locate these stars within the s…
