Dear Evelyn, To determine your main door, you have to:- 1. Find the centrepoint of the house. 2. If you are physically at the home, stand at the centre of the house and from here determine the main entrance door. Where best, go out of your home and take the compass reading of the North to South at a few locations. If in doubt, use the readings taken outside. 3. Can you clarify below:- You have to be exact with the door. From what I understand, I like to clarify that you have to stand at the centre of the house and from here, determine the compass direction of the main door. In this case i.e. if your main door is at the South the compass direction should be around 180…

Dear Jasper, For a start, you can actually generate your personal Eight House Chart if you have not done so already. A detailed step-by-step guide is at url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm additional explantion is available =at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house2.htm You can also immediately generate a free Eight House Chart at www.geomancy-online.com In a cold country it is acceptable to have an apartment at the basement. However, ideally, one side of the the toilet wall should be along the external wall. Another point is that you should find out how the sewerage pipes run. Preferably, it should `connect' to the toilet and where possible, not go under your basement …

Hi, 1. Have you generated your Free Eight House Template. If not, you can follow the steps shown under this url: http://www.geomancy.net/house1.htm or go to www.geomancy-online.com to generate a free computerized report. The main consideration after you had generated the Eight House Template is where possible use a transparency. `Combine' the two of your Eight House Template on the transparency. To be distinct, use two different colour pens to write down each of your good and bad intangible influence. Here what you should do next:- 1. Find the centrepoint of each layout plan. 2. Superimpose the template on any house layout plan you are looking at. (aligned to the North So…

Please read below:- Glad that you are doing well:) I will be adding in a module for the proposed element objects. For now here are some guide. 1. You can make use of the Five Element Cures, there are proposed objects relating to the elements in the last portion of the report. Basically, it is ok to make use of any type of object so long as it fulfills the element recommended. That is why rather then using fixed cures, we have provided the solution in Element form. More importantly the cures should also suit the person who is often using that room. 2. Some simple example which I can produce off-hand are. Example:- ======== a. Metal - 6 Metal Coins, White / G…

Dear Robin, Frankly, the best advise is not to purchase a flat directly above a garage as this is inauspicious and there are no known *effective* cures i.e. in my opinion, as of now, I cannot recommend any cures for this. Dear Kieron, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Saturday, May 01, 1999 7:27 AM Subject: Re: ba gua and pa-kua Let me clarify:- 1. As you have determined the centre of the room, all you need to do is to note the North to South alignment of the house. 2. Here, if you have the Eight House Template Superimpose it on the layout plan. There are lots of examples of how the Eight House Template is superimposed on the layout of your house at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house2.htm I suggest you go through this module or http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm first. 3. In a small home, y…

Further to this mail regarding Pillars of Destiny Strength. I would like to share this everyone. ============================================================================ ======== Pillars of Destiny provides you with the Heavenly Influence which is calculated from the Heavenly Stem and the Earthly Branches influence of the current time. The information provided is able to tell you:- 1. Your true birth element. 2. Your 80-Year luck periods. 3. Fortune Telling This theory often takes into account only the person involved. So if you are the only one facing constant problem, you will notice that when you look at your own personal chart you are often in your very bad heaven…

Dear Samantha, Congratulations! What you had mentioned is not Feng Shui but Chinese `belief' that when one is pregnant, one must not move the furniture especially your bed. To ward off bad influence, usually, the case is for an expecting mum not to be present during the move or to `see' the move. Put it another way, you should not be involved (in anyway) on the day of the move i.e stay at your parents or other family members home during the shift. Dear Rose, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, April 29, 1999 11:10 AM Subject: Schools of Feng Shui Frankly, I have no time to develop another of my domain names: palmistry.net but at a later stage. In Chiromancy or palmistry, you can look at the hands and discover how many offsprings one have. Later on, after we have fully developed Geomancy.net, I will add modules on Chinese Face and Hand reading... So, do look out for more developments. As usual we will also merge technology with all available Chinese astrology, divinity methods ... isn't it exciting?

Dear Mercury, Further to my earlier reply, I like to share with everyone more on the toilet:- For those of you who had taken the Applied Feng Shui course would have a seen a graphic illustration of what are the bad or inauspicious locations for the toilet. (Besides other inauspicious locations shown in another illustration). If you have observed closely, all the bad or inauspicious locations fall `exactly' on the Eight compass directions. For example, True: North 0 degrees, South 180 degrees, East 90 degrees, West 270 degrees and Cardinal points: North-East e.g. 45degrees, South-East 135 degrees, South-West 225 degrees and North-West 315 degrees. What you can learn here? …

Dear Rose, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 7:59 PM Subject: Green Dragon and White Tiger Sad to say, I usually try to avoid answering this question. This is because, this falls under the Shapes and Form School and it is best to be present to look at the location before providing any comments. Not that I do not `trust' your words but in order to provide a good assessment, one has to be physically present to `review' this type of `question'. Hope you understand. This is because unlike a `True' dragon or tiger where you can actually see the profile,…

Dear Rose, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 5:44 PM Subject: FIVE YELLOWS vs Properity in 8-House A accurate Flying Star chart, should preferably take into account:- 1. The birth chart of the house. 2. Your personal kua number. 3. The exact direction of the main entrance. (in 15 degree increments) Therefore, in my opinion, if something is so general as where it can be applied to everyone without taking into consideration a personalised Flying Star chart as basic as the birth chart of the house and the exact direction of the house, I will not consi…

Dear Magnani, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 9:35 PM Subject: shall I put all my water/wealth symbols in my hallway to my house? Based on the available information you have provided me, yes, it is acceptable to place a fishtank and a small water fountain on the left side of the main entrance. From what I can understand, I hope that the fishtank is not overall huge or large. A small water fountain is acceptable. This is because too much water can cause an imbalance of yin/yang i.e. too much water becomes too `yin' and as West (metal) is also a yi…

Dear Kieron, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, glad that you will continue to trust your intuition. Believe me, it is more powerful sometimes than following all sorts of books and we may end up worse or feel "depressed" having to follow a `set' of routines. Look at it this way, many people have never heard of Feng Shui but benefitted from their own instincts or `six sense' or `intuition.' Dear Cecil, Thank you so much for taking time to reply my queries. We have considered your suggestion of shifting the bed to opposite side of the room. This may be too costly for us at the moment since on the opposite side of the room we have some fixed (built-in) wardrobe and shelves, if you have noticed from my drawing. We would have to hire carpenters to rebuild these wardrobes if we were to shift them because they were initially built with the intention of covering the unsightly almost-one-foot beam on whole stretch of this wall. In my previous e-mail, I mentioned the possibility of shifting the bed to the wall adjacent to the toilet wall, the other only available wal…

Dear Kieron, Under Feng Shui, the most `vulnerable' area for poison arrows are: 1. the main entrance door. 2. the view from windows inside the house. The concept of `poison arrows' is that if you cannot see the poison arrow, there is no longer a threat. For a dying tree between your home and your neighbours, it is no `threat' unless: 1. it can be viewed from a window of a house and when it fulfil para 2 below. 2. when the tree disintegrates into a `tree stump'. When you only have a `broken' tree stump, this now becomes a `sha' provided when you peer through the window, it is tangent or perpedicular to it. In the long run, it is best to totally uproot the tree incase of de…

Dear Anita, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. We will first begin by looking at the `history' of Feng Shui in China. In the past, Chinese were mostly into agricuture (farmers ) and live-stock rearing. What this means is that food was obtain from the land. Eaten, and left overs were `re-cycled' e.g. as some of them they rear pigs, these "garbage" were given to the pigs to be eaten. Manure or other `solid' wastes were used to fertilise the land. From the above, you will notice that they (ancient Chinese) do not have what we have now... " garbage " in the form of non-biodegradable products etc..... Overall, Feng Shui is used to assess: in the above case of a hom…

Hi, House numbers belong to another category called Numerlogy. Frankly, the reason why in my opinion, I prefer to stick to Feng Shui is because in many places, numbers can mean different things. For example, the Cantonese (a dialect) group of Chinese say that no. 4 means = die. This is because in their dialect, the pronuciation of 4 is `say' or `die'. To them, they thus find the number inauspicious. While to them no. 8 mean `fart' or `prosperity'. Where else, in `English' astrology, they have the Four elements and some practioners find number 4 to be auspicious. Under the Flying Star Theory of Feng Shui, the worst numbers to avoid are like what you mention no. 2 or the s…

Dear Betty, The most important thing to remember is not to place a wall clock above a door. Preferably, it should be placed at a location of activity e.g. close to the Television set or Hi Fi. (it can be above it). Another thing to note is that a grandfather clock is a better `subsitute' for a windchime. A few days ago, I tried counting my neighour's bungalow house. I counted at least nine different types of windchimes outside the west `wing' of the house (or the back door area). It so happens that this is also the WEST side of the house or the YIN side. Most likely, the lady who stayed there became insane because of the windchime. Personally, I would like to help but the…

Dear Emma, Hope you can further elaborate. Are you referring to the number 2 after doing a Flying Star chart and you have a 2 influence at a specific location. Or are you referring to your address 2110. This is because " house numbering " method to see if a house is auspicious or inauspicious is not a good method of checking a house's birth chart. This is because, today, many Professional Feng Shui Masters use the Flying Star Analysis to find out e.g. the 2 or 5 bad stars are and if they had combined together in a location. Here, the difference, we cannot just look at the house number and come to some `conclusion'. But rather, combine the two schools of Feng Shui e.g. Sha…

Dear Siu Wong, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 14, 1999 6:16 PM Subject: Feng shui in the bedroom Frankly, the application of Feng Shui in the past was focused more on macro level e.g. the situation of an entire city etc... Only nowadays, as Feng Shui became `more lucrative' or we would like to be `comforted' by the thoughts that where we spent our time or at a specific location, could help us in our studies. For the young, especially those who are studying, my feeling is that it really does not matter i.e. to follow ad…

Dear Jody, I feel that currently, because of the small size of the tree, it will not pose too much of a `threat' to the house. At this stage of growth (of the tree), you may seriously want to consider, replanting it away from your main entrance area as it will one day bound to grow bigger. Although it is not a `threat' today, but it will be one day. When it grows taller, and if you do not decide to re-plant it, then I suggest, you may have to consider a `cure'. For example, placing a semi-circular carpet at the main entrance door area radiating outwards. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppres…

Dear Garance, There are three Feng Shui emporiums in "The Feng Shui Awards" Page. If you have the time, check out these emporiums. I have a link at this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/award.htm I am sure, you can find your Luo Pan. I am not mistaken, in the above award page, check out " Roger Green's" site, in the past, I remember him selling an English version but I remembered it was quite expensive at $4xx.00USD (Cannot really remember this). Alternatively, you can buy a Plastic Feng Shui kit by Kwok Man Ho, I have a link in the books section i.e. http://www.geomancy.net/books/fs.htm Another alternative is to get the book Feng Shui by Derek Walters.
