Dear Anon, Yes, this is exactly the point. If you live in my country, there is no way one can change the name unless there is really a good reason that can convince my country. We all have to be practical when it comes to such things. Yes, as mentioned clearly in my earlier mail and for this report, we also clearly state so. We are all adults and it would be silly to kid ourselves of the facts. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Always stand inside the home and look out of the window or an entrance to check for poison arrows such as a tree trunk etc... Currently, this tree was planted less than 1 year. When this tree gets taller/ thicker trunk and older.. this is where, the poison arrow can be bad....

Dear Anon, 1. There should not be an issue here. Some Feng Shui practioners believe that electrical items such as washing machine or dryer that shakes should not be placed at an auspicious sector. If it is an inauspicious sector this is good. As the shaking will drive away, the auspiciousness. 2. With the various forms of Feng Shui available, Para 1 is of secondary importance. More importantly, if one fully understands the purpose and limitations of each Feng Shui theory or concepts, this will instead, put to good use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Replying to your question. My bed faces East which falls under Death direction. I am strong Yang Metal (birth element) 7, so this is bad. Please advise what colours to use as I am unable to move my bed. I have attached below your previous response. Use the favourable colours as shown in the free report:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm As a Strong Metal, generally the favourable colours would be Water (light shades of blue/black/gray) or Wood (light shades of Green/Brown). Refer to this chart for the five element and colours:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Just take note that colours such as Wood/Fire/E…

Dear Elizabeth, As a guideline:- 1. The aquarium, most not be placed at the centre-point of the house. 2. Preferable that it should not be placed in the dining room. As you mentioned, it is acceptable to place the aquarium in the family room and on the `surface' it looks a sensible location to be placed. Where possible, if your house has an `L' shape configuration, symbolically, or through use of partition to `change' it to a square or rectangle shaped. This configuration is still the best. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm a gua 7 that makes the east a death sector. However star 6 is metal, 1 is water, and under bazi I'm strong fire. Is it as bad for me? Death sector is the worst of the 4 bad direction under the eight house. The East sector of the house is Wood element. as a Strong Fire, wood only makes you stronger, thus is considered again a unfavourable suitability. So it means that you are entirely not suited for any bedroom or facing direction of a house that is East. The flying star of the bedroom isn't too bad. However, as long as your bedroom is unsuitable, no matter how good the luck of the room, you will simply not be able to benefit from it. Ano…

Dear Jim, As mentioned in the previous message to another user. Selling a House does not really fall under Feng Shui. At best what you should do is keep the house bright and pleasing to look at and get a good real estate agent to help you advertise your home. Other than that, there is very little you can do personally to help the sales except maybe to increase your personal luck by enhancing yourself with favourable elements. This way you might be able to increase your chance of getting a suitable buyer. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

These are some of the considerations: 1. In general; it is best not to use BLUE colour even if it is light blue in a kitchen. This is on the extra-safe-side. While BLACK or grey can be considered as generally - neutral - or OK. 2. Besides the texture or colour of the kitchen laminates; the next largest metal element in a kitchen is actually a refrigerator. As when it is in a closed position; it's external "mass" is one big metal element. Thus frige in white or silver or grey are often a safe-bet.

Dear Kyra, 1. In my view, when we are uncertain whether a piece of advice will be effective, it is wise to refrain from placing the object in that particular location. 2. This aligns with the commonsense principles of Feng Shui. 3. For instance, many of us have encountered the notion that having a bedroom situated above a kitchen is considered 'inauspicious.' The reasoning behind this is based on common sense. In the event of a fire in the kitchen, smoke and flames rise, which would be unfavorable, especially if a fire were to occur there. 4. Likewise, if we position a mirror, such as one made of glass or silicone, near a heat source, the glass may not…

Note: this is not about Feng Shui. It is related to custom or beliefs. Imagine, just placing one's love one e.g. A baby or toddler to lie down at the main door. Usually if the white collar husband comes home and removes his shoe not too bad. But if one works at a site or outdoor, go imagine. More importantly, most people would at least sweep the floor or wash it. Either splashing the figurine or need to remove it temporarily - moving it.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My next door neighbors are a nice young couple, but their lifestyle includes loudy heavy metal music, drinking, barking dogs, late night visitors with noisy cars, all of which is conducted in their garage and on their front porch which is only a few metres away from my bedroom and my 10 month old son's bedroom (we live in a group of stand alone villa units). I have tried talking to the neighbors and asking them to moderate the noise, and they are very understanding and promise to be quieter, but then the noise continues. Sorry, but Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all times of problem. This is because even if youpaint the favourable col…

1. What you mentioned has more to do with common sense than Feng Shui. 2. As black absorbs heat more easily than other "lighter" colours. 3. During the 1st Chinese Emperor's reign, he made his ministers and scholars wear BLACK. (To represent water element). Thus BLACK does not necessarily means or impliesinauspicious. 4. Under the I-Ching blue represent difficulty. Thus if it is not BLUE, but black.. still not an issue unless one thinks "wrongly". 5. In war time in the 1940's to 1960's, wouldn't be great if the house roof is black in colour? Natural camofluage in the dark. 6. By the way, it does not matter or rather, just because you are a strong wood and he is a weak ear…

1. Really sorry to hear about it. (The constructions coincide withthe two of the worst sectors for this year 2010) 2. In the meantime, the best that can be done (crossing fingers) is to place "metal" between your home and the "offending" construction(s):- 2.1. Temporary purchase those aluminium foil and if windows or bay window areas at waist height face the construction then consider temporary placing aluminium foils. And for open areas (without damaging the fixtures) try to hang wind-chime to "counter" partially the issue(s). 3. As for shifting to another home:- 3.1 One major concern is hopefully the next apartment is a better one than this one else, it goes back to squ…

Dear Linh, Here are the following guidelines on the toilet:- 1. Ideal situations are where the toilet bowl should not be actually on the following points:- 0 degrees - North, 45 degrees - NE, 90 degrees - East, 135 degrees - South East, 180 degrees - South, 225 degrees - South West, 270 degrees - West and 315 degrees - North West. Why? Most likely if the toilet bowl is at this location, chances are it will be on one of the Eight Trigrams which can be either an auspicious or inauspicious location. What is the definition of toilet here:- Ideally, this exact compass point should not be the location of the toilet bowl or (sewerage pipe). It is still acceptable for a basin or…

Dear Anon, 1. Some `Western Traditional' School of Feng Shui particularly those who practise Flying Star Theory have concern about the rotation of a metallic fan. To them, it circulates metal and their concern is that if a sector is out of balance and if metal is the catalyst, this is a `concern'. 2. In my opinion, looking at the commonsense approach to Feng Shui: Nowadays, many fans no longer have metal blades. And even if the blades are metallic does not mean that it generates `metal'. In view of the above, I personally feel that there should not be any cause for concern over the use of fans. I believe that they are a cheap and economical method of cooling a house. Th…

I have read that you should always keep the toilet lid closed -especially when you flush it. It may also be good to put a plant at some point between your bed and the the toilet and to try to keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible. I hope this helps. Good luck with the coming of your new baby!

Dear Sabina, What I understand is that you have measured your main entrance and it is in the mid-point or compass direction 337.5 degrees i.e. between 0 degrees and 315 degrees If you are using the eight house theory, you need not be too concern with the "type" of house ie. North or NW but rather find out what is the intangible force at the main entrance by checking what intangible force is affecting the North and NW. Best that it is not the death or disaster intangible force at either North or NW. If so, this means that the house is considered the least suitable to the breadwinner. Next, check the intangible force affecting the bedrooms. These are the two key considerat…

1. The origin of the FIXED TEMPLATE BAGUA model originated from this infamous person: Lin Yun. 2. You can read this article extract from this website about the Confessions of Lin Yun:- [ URL link no longer exists ] Appended by Cecil Lee in 2020: Apologies, Please understand that this article was written in 2009 = many years ago. 3. The fixed template Feng Shui is considered by many Traditional Feng Shui practitioners as too static a model. 4. This fixed template bagua - does not take into consideration both: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui. 5. Under the Compass School Feng Shui: there is the E…

Apologies for the confusion. Yes, thanks for pointing out my typo error. It should correctly be : any odd numbers is Yang : 1,3, 5, 7. Thus I was too quick to type wrongly. Sorry for the confusion. Yin stars are even numbers: which should be 2, 4, 6, 8 etc... Cecil L. wrote: 5. Another type of Yin has to do with Flying Star numbers. For example Flying star numbers 1, 3, 5, 7 are yin stars and a high concentration of such stars on it's own is no issue. But if coupled by too yina sector or

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, good houses have main doors that are `protected' from Sha Qi or poison arrows. 2. It is acceptable to have the main door on the side of the house. In fact this layout is quite common and should not raise too much concern. 3. Here in Singapore, there are many houses especially public housing (apartments) that have doors that are on the `side'. The advantage here is that there are few poison arrows (other than some apartments) with doors facing each other. 4. Most of these houses are `rectangular' in shape and thus of a good `shape'. 5. More importantly, the frontage of the house is equally important. What one needs to do here is: - since there are no…

1. I am not going to go into all the nitty gritty details. 2. As you have read and understood that a kitchen especially a stove at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate". 3. In addition, some books will say that based on the "current" trigram, HW = Heaven hexagram or "Heaven's Luck". 4. Thus having a stove at NW will affect Para 2 and 3. (Full-stop).
