Dear Laraine, The main important point to note is that even if you can see certain `pointed' arrows at your main door, they may not be `pointed' arrows. Based on what you have mentioned to me, some of the objects you mentioned most likely are not `poison' arrows. This is because, when standing at the main entrance door and looking out, we can see quite a range of things. What you need to remember is that: 1. It is not a poision arrow if it is not `aimed' at your main entrance. If I am not wrong, the TV aerial on your neighours house is placed on their roof and in such a situation, unless it `bends' down and like the barrel of a gun, aims at your house, this is not a `poi…

1. Friend, have you considered that the summary of elements of each individual changes every 10 YEARS? For example, look at this sample chart. Dear Fraser, I believe Lillian Too as a different book on each of the topic you mentioned: One one landscaping and the other on `Water Dragon Classic' (an older book maybe there is a new version). Personally, I have not read both books so unable to provide any comments. Anyone care to comment or share with us your views if you have read any of these books. (I not sure sure the exact title..... but the titles should be around what I mentioned.) There may be new ones... as I am quite busy, did not have a look at any of them nor confirm what School are they practising. Perhaps, you can also try checking out Amazon.com or Barnes & Nobles for these topics. Warmest Regard…

Well the reason I changed my room around was because I wasnt sleeping very well and had bought a double bed and the headboard was up against the window. I have now moved it back to this position and within the last 48 hours have had worse luck than ever. Kind regards.

Dear Anita, There are three `issues' regarding the computer: 1. The Video Display Screen which is made of glass. Depending on the type of computer screen used, some are `reflective'. If you have read many messages on `avoiding' mirrors in the bedroom, here, the computer screen = mirror and should preferably not face any part of the bed. If so, you can simply use a computer cover or a cloth to cover it when not in use. 2. Some Feng Shui Masters believe that computers are `electrical' and belongs to the water element. In this case, if will affect those particularly those with `weak' fire element. 3. As computers are `electrical' there will be some form of magnetic interfere…

Dear Aloysius, Aloysius C. wrote: Whatlevel of % impact does the annual analysis for zodiacs (Chinese Horoscope Predictions)has on an individual as having some though that there are millions of people born under the same zodiac animal. Could they be having the same fate. General, yearly forecast on chinese horoscope are always general. Basic horoscope forecast will normally contain 12 horoscope signs. You can go deeper into the analysis if you combine it with your ba zi. Such as our yearly horoscope which combines the horoscope and ba zi together. So this means that within each horoscope sign, there can be further division into weak/strong plus the five different elemen…

1.In my opinion, the lowest common denominator is the five elements concept. 2. How easy to apply a model or concept. So long as the concepts and method are sound, it is based on how easily it can be properly understood and applied. 3. Ultimately, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is in my opinion most critical. Feng Shui cannot live without Shapes and Forms, but may survive without Flying Star and it's variant. 4. Thus in my opinion, if the concepts or models are based on Flying star, even the distant cousin nine star key belongs to this school.

There is a main door that's in the center of the front of the building, and a back door in the same location at the back. {1st floor of building} --- (main door) (door2)| |(door1) --- (stairs to 2nd floor) ___________________________ (wall) --- (back stairs) (back door2)| |(back door1) --- (back door of building) My apartment door(s) would be directly above door1 on the 2nd floor.

Dear Karen, 1. Honestly, there is not much that can be done in such a situation. 2. According to the Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the primary concern is the increased likelihood of a fire originating from the kitchen. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to have a bedroom, door, or wall adjacent to the kitchen. However, in contemporary settings, the installation of fire sprinklers (or, if unavailable, the strategic placement of smoke detectors) is highly recommended. 3. If your residence is constructed with brick walls (or solid brick walls), it is preferable compared to having gypsum or wooden walls that separate the bedroom from the kitchen area…

Further to what I had mentioned, in a case of a middle house or even shop-house, but if this middle shop-house is facing a T junction, then it will be affected by bad qi. Please see picture, under the url below:- http://www.geomancy.net/events/ExxonMobil_FS_Talk/em_talk_1_slide_21.htm

Dear Cally, Glad to hear from you Frankly, Feng Shui is a holistic approach. So you are quite correct in that often there are more than meets the eye. For example, under Flying Star Feng Shui there is the dreaded #3 (conflicts, quarrels) star. Often it can be at a critical area such as the frontage of the home and/or even in the bedroom sector. And it has to be disarmed. Usually a stove facing a sink has more to do with "wealth leaks". Frankly, it is hard to pin point the issue with the limited information.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I realised that kitchen is not good to place at the north. Generally, if you look from it at a fundamental level. North=Water, so a kitchen in the North will be like Fire vs Water which clash. However, frankly, this is only one level of looking at it. I mean given that there are only 8 directions in any layout, at some point some layout will certainly have kitchen located in the North sector. So does it mean that everyone who has the kitchen at North will be doomed? Of course, not. This is because the overall houselayout vs the house flying star luck isequally important. If the house is able to take advantage of the frontage or external Qi…

I'm sorry for the cut-and-paste article. I should have posted the link instead. Nevertheless, thanks for your reply regarding my Q. I thought you would suggest 6 coins tied with a red string but I guess the #6m star in our house's natal chart makes up for it.

Human or man luck or feel good factor usually far outweighs others: Many of us don't have good Heaven luck (born with) nor Earth luck (Feng Shui of the home). But those who have good human or man luck; will go far. FEEL GOOD, please!

Hi, Generally bird baths that are equivalent of a face bath bowl or the `sink' should not be considered as a water position. But becareful, if it is more than 1 metre and have stagnant water, it is not auspicious. There should be some activity at the bird bath. More... As for birds, there are two situations with regards to birds:- Those that fly freely and those that are caged. A `secret' weapon of Feng Shui is that it is auspicious to have birds flying freely around your house. This means that there are trees around the house to provide a serene environment. Here it is `as good as' having Feng shui enhancers e.g. fountains. For caged birds, for many society and even for …

Hi, Again, sorry, I have not read these two books. This is because, I am very selective on reading " Feng Shui books written in English ". In my opinion, after having read one, you most likely do not read anymore because either some of them are BTB or talks about the Shapes and Form. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, When facing a desk in front of a window with a sea view behind you, Feng Shui principles suggest having strong support at your back to provide stability and enhance positive energy flow. Using a low or back cabinet is a practical solution to supply this support while still enjoying the view. Alternatively, positioning your desk so that your back is against a solid wall and facing a favorable direction offers both physical and energetic support. This setup is preferable to sitting with your back towards a door or other less auspicious locations, which can disrupt focus and diminish your sense of security. Additionally, the overall Feng Shui of you…

Dear Guest, In Singapore, Tower equates Block. And in our public housing, Block numbers are excluded in the input. In our condominums, tower is often used but also not keyed-in. Thus, you should exclude Tower 6. Simply key in #18-7 (Please note G =7 and not 6. 6 refers to the letter F). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sophia, There are several considerations, here:- 1. Factors not taken into consideration in this message: What is the Shapes and Forms of this home like? External, Internal Feng Shui What is the facing direction (mouth) of the home like based on Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, a Period 8 NE1 would not have the same Feng Shui as a Period 8 NW1 home etc... Because of this facing direction, some homes have "more" while others have "lesser" luck. 2. Your friend did not mention about the degree of incompatibility i.e. From lesser incompatibilities such as "irritation and spook" to much greater issues like "death or disaster". 3. It would be "nice-to-have" both t…

1. Apartment (House number) analysis is about the storey (floor) or level a home is. Thus youshould input: 02 - 3342 . Where 02 = 2nd storey and 3342 is the apartment stack's number. Frankly, there are so manyNumerology methods. Too many methods available. Thus, somemay consider it bad while some may just consider the numbers acceptable or even auspicious. Therefore, it is difficult to commentsince one has to find out what method was used to say that the house number was bad and this is not based on either the above Para 1or other Feng Shui methods. 2.Para 1, is based on Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui. Where each level is considered as having different qi influenc…

These are some considerations:- 1. Main Door facing Door of Bomb Shelter in condo 1.1. The main consideration under symbolism in Feng Shui is that the Main door should not be facing a staircase that leads down to the lower unit. 1.2. For example, when say the bomb shelter door is (always) open and from one's main door one can see the staircase; then this is not ideal. 1.3. But, based on building regulations; the good news is that all these doors must remain shut at all times. If so, and also even if the door is opened fully; it opens to only the landing (of the staircase) then this is a non-issue. 1.4. If so, it is equivalent to one's main door facing another unit's ma…
