Anonymous wrote: The office desk have a partition that face the staircase. If the partition isn't there, then it is very bad. But with the partition, it helps to block the sha qi from the stairs, so it is not as bad. Like what we have been saying, whatever that you cannot see, no longer becomes a problem. So luckily, there is a partition that helps to block some of the Sha Qi to your sitting position. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  2. Dear Calvin, Calvin Yong wrote: Still need to get some clarification from you. The chart recomend that I increase water and wood. But at the end of your advise, you recomend metal and wood.......But shouldn't I am advice to reduce on metal? Thank you. The ideal is to have exactly 20% of each five element. However, in reality, it is very difficult for anyone to say for sure how much element you exactly have at any point in time. You may have lack some elements based on your bazi, but these all changes depending on your environment. Thus, you need to base on what element you are classified:- ie a strong earth person means that you have too much of Fire and Earth thus making you considered a Strong Earth, thus your favourable would be any element that helps to keep your Strong Earth in check. That means Metal, Water and Wood. The percentage just helps to tell you how much of each element you have a birth. Although, generally fire and earth are considered your unfavourable it does not mean you should avoid it completely, you still need to have some to help attain the 20% of each element. This helps you fine tune your what you should have more or less. ie Metal (40%), Water (10%) and Wood (2%) are generally good for you, but based on your percentage it would mean that Wood is most desired, followed by Water and least by Metal. Again, even though you have 40% metal, it does not mean that it is something you should avoid. Where you cannot have Water and Wood, Metal is still a favourable element for you. Same goes for the unfavourable element. The element you have more will be what you should try to avoid most. Again, the concept here is to attain a balance. A person should not have too much or too little. Just enough to balance up everything. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  3. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If theoffice desk is location that isunder the air - con ducting and air-con water pipingis and trucking of cables. Is it bad for the person sitting there? Of course if you can hide those piping and cables it will definately look nicer for an office. But if you can't then there isn't much you can do. Probably the main concern here is that piping might leak and thus if you have any electrical equipment/important documentsit might get damaged when it leaks. So you just need to be extra careful about placing important documents etc. Also, piping might also have similiar properties like a beam over your head which is like a poison arrow if you are sitting directly underneath it but of a much lesser impact if any. So I won't worry to much, besides nothing much you can do because the best way to fix it is toie. have a false ceiling etc. Hope that helps. 6. Dear Carla, Carla Rothacker wrote: Here in America, we often have mobile home parks where the homes are set up on a semi-permanent basis. Some are in the form of a single long home of 14 by 70 feet or 16 by 64 feet, while some are made in 2 pieces and assembled on site as what we call a "doublewide" mobile home. Wheels are removed, and the homes in both cases are supported by construction blocks at key points beneath them, sitting upon concrete. Carla Rothacker wrote: Yes, they *can* be moved, but generally are not. It takes a special moving company to do so, and is expensive. These are different from recreational vehicles, which are small homes on wheels, or small campers to travel in. I am sorry if that was unclear. I see, when you talk about mobile home, I was originally thinking only on those trailer homes. In this case, of course, you can still apply feng shui since you the homes isn't going to be moved around. Carla Rothacker wrote: Thus, I am still wondering if facing direction is more important than the entrance to the home, and if flying stars *may* be useful. If based on what you have mentioned, that probably the choice of the lot or land that you park the home will be most important followed by the best facing direction. The only issue with flying star application in this case would be that there is no real year of birth. So the true influence of the flying star may be harder to deduce. Thus, I would think that you should follow more the shapes and form of the land, suitability of the direction, rather than the flying star influence. Carla Rothacker wrote: Is the book I read that suggested using the central 3 guas only, due to the narrowness of such homes, incorrect? I still think that you should assess the home as it is, however, as I am unsure exactly whether the dimension you given relates to a typical terrace house in singapore (ie longish retangular type). But in either case, we still apply the full direction divided equally. If it is really too longish, then sometimes we break the it equally similiar to this:- Carla Rothacker wrote: Also, what might be done to counter the effect of ungroundedness from the home not having a proper, full foundation to rest on? I don't think you can do much as mentioned it is a mobile home not one that is built from scratch. Really there isn't any much guidelines as to how feng shui can truly be applied. But what I can say for sure in such cases, the shapes and form of the external landscape would be the most important factor more than just the interior of the home. Hope that helps. 7. Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Dear Master Lee, our new houseis facing SE. My husband is a weak wood, and although SE is his Irritation direction, SE is also a wood direction, so I wonder if this is not so bad for him after all. As long as the direction is not Death or Disaster it is acceptable under the eight house. If the ba zi element is suitable, then it is even better. But given that ba zi and eight house each is good and bad, thus we would still consider such a facing as average. Rachel Rachel wrote: SE is my Spook direction, which I read from your other forum post - is okay to live in, since you said before that many people live in Spook direction and its not such a great harm. Spook or irritation are two least problematic sectors. So most of the time it is still acceptable. Rachel Rachel wrote: However, I'm a bit concernedfor my 3 year old daughter as SE is her death direction. I know that its most important that the direction be favourable to the main breadwinner and not the daughter, but it sounds kind of terrible that SE is my daughter's "DEATH" direction. Do you thinkthis isreally going to cause her any major problems? If so,could you recommend any remedies for her For a house, the direction of the main door is most important to the breadwinner. Since the breadwinner earns most to upkeep the house, the house has to be suitable to him. For the rest of the family, it is more important that the bedroom is suitable to the individual family members in the house. Thus, I won't be too concerned here that other family members might have a house that is death to that person. So your daughter's luck comes from the bedroom that she stays in. Every person is unique, and there are only 8 directions, so it is not possible for a home to fit everyone. Thus, this is were priority will come in. Breadwinner more important is the house facing, other family members is the bedroom sector. Hope that help. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

You should follow the ruleset as shown in this page:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm Since you are living in an apartment above 7th level, thus your facing direction would be your balcony direction. ie standing inside your balcony looking outwards. This would be your facing direction of the apartment. When applying the eight house sector (ie which sector belongs to what influence), that portion you should still align the north direction to the north sector of the house. Hope that helps. 9. Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Hi Master Lee, thanks for the very detailed explanation! I just checked my Ten Deities Summary and I'm not sure if its directly related to what you've just said, but please tell me if it is! In the Ten Deities Summary, it says there that my "Main Funds" (zheng yin), represented by Earth, is 5. And then my "Unexpected Funds" (pian yin), represented by Earth again, is 2.Could this bean additionalexplanation forthe reason why you recommend me to pursue an Earth element career in orderto strengthen my element(weak metal)? Actually, when I explained that Earth is good for you, I was more referring to the fact that you are a weak Metal. Under the five element, Earth produces Metal. Thus, Earth is your favourable element. Ten Deities tend to be used more to either explain characteristics or what that period might be related to. ie. Main Funds or Unexpected Funds are actually resources / skills or hidden talents. While when related to the luck pillars it often relates to Health. So I wasn't exactly referring to the having lots Earth, thus earth is good for you. Although, what it tells me is that with a much higher main funds it means that you might have some skills pass on by your family members and some of your own hidden talents. Hope that helps. There is very limited ways that feng shui can be of help except:- 1. Create an environment that will create less friction for potential conflicts. ie The colours scheme of the room if choosen correctly, can help to reduce conflict as two person each has a common binding element that can help to smoothen a relationship. 2. Under the flying star, sometimes stars like star 3 and 4 which are romance and conflict stars are controlled can also help to reduce any potential conflicts that might occur. Otherwise, the rest will really be entirely up to the two persons to work out any issues they have between each other. Frictions will always happen from time to time, it is how much the two persons are willing to give and take to make any relationship last. Hope that helps. 12. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We generated the personal monthly analysis report and realised that most days were bad and very bad. This will always be the case.A person's luck will constantly change up and down from time to time. You should remember that when we analyse day to day, the goal is to identify which days are best within the entire month. Same goes, when you check which month is better within the year, or which year is better within the 10-year luck. There will be ups and down from time to time. When a Year is good, that means that no matter how bad the month is, it will be considered the least auspicious month. While, when a year is abd, that means that the worst month will be the worst auspicious month for that year. When an auspicious date is done for the month, it's goal is simply to find out which days is the better or worst for that month itself. So I won't worry so much about the days being bad or very bad. As it does not consider whether the month or the year is good or bad. Quote: How can a student impoves their earth luck?/ examination luck? on those days during the very important examination. I think feng shui will have limited effect on your actual examination luck as how well you do really depends on how much you study and prepare for the exam. Probably you want to focus on like ensuring that the place you study is able to give you sufficient concentration and focus. This is more important than the exam location itself (which you cannot control). Also, as mentioned, I won't worry about days that are marked bad or very bad. As mentioned that is for the purpose of identifying how each day fairs when compared to other days within the same month. As mentioned as long as you study hard enough, I personally do not think there will be much issues. If by carrying items that are lucky or make you feel more confident, then by all means go ahead. If you feel comfortable to have display such items as it beautifies your surrounding and make you feel good, then by all means do so. These are more like decorative items rather than having any mircle feng shui properties. So it really does not matter where you place it. True feng shui is more about external shapes and form and internal shapes and form, suitability and colours for the rooms etc. Once these areas are taken place, the rest of the placing nice decorative items are entirely up to individual likes and dislikes. If my ba zi consider good? I really confuse. My date of birth is 21 Aug 1973. Time of birth is 6.10 a.m. Please advice. Thank. Whether a bazi is weak or strong isn't just determined by your heavenly stem day being yin (ie weak) or yang (ie strong). Sorry, it isn't that simple. There are other factors that you have to consider:- ie. season strength that affects the strengthen of your five element. ie. combinations or clashes/harms that will affect the five element found in your chart. As long as your total favourable elements is greater than your unfavourable elements, then you are considered a strong element. Element Strength Percentage % Rating Recommendation 1 Water Strong 10 % Acceptable (Increase Element) Have more of your Favourable Wealth Element 1 Wood Extremely Weak 2 % Increase Element Have A LOT more of your Favourable Element 4 Fire Weakest 21 % Balance Enough 3 Earth Weak 24 % Balance Enough 3 Metal Strongest 40 % Reduce Element In your case you have 21% of 4 Weakest Fire + 24% of 3 weak Earth vs 2% of 1 Extremely Weak Wood + 40% of 3 Strongest Metal. Water is a double edged element so it cannot be considered. Since Favourable 45% vs Unfavourable 42%. That is why you are a strong element. Our free report already does a detailedanalysis for you except since it is free it does not reveal to you the details of the analysis:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm So since you are a Strong Earth, thus Metal and Water are favourable for you. Ideally, for those who really strictly follow the tradition, it would be best not to have the two married couple stay together. But, my question will be, will there be an alternate accomodation available for you to not have the married couple stay together. If not, then I don't think there is much you can do about this. As long as you both do not attend each other's wedding then it shouldn't be as bad anymore even if you are staying together. Yes, generally it is not good to put fountain in bedroom.Fountain should be placed in larger open area like living room / balcony / family area etc. But as mentioned, when we talk about a fountain it is not one of those portable / desk type fountain. Anyway, one should always remember that the purpose of Feng Shui is to create harmony. If that desk type water feature does help you in your sleep and make you better. Unfortunately, it is not good for two relative to get married within a year. If both must get married within the same year, there must at least bea span of 6-months between the first and second wedding. This is the general chinese believe and custom. Yes, that would be considered under Metal for your industry, while you will be a consultant which is also Metal element. Kevin Tan wrote: 4. My report says I wasborn in Summer where the main element Fire was weak. How can Fire be weak in Summer? Shouldn't it be burning strongly in Summer? The report is right to say my True Element is Strong Fire though. I'm confused! Not true. There are 4 seasons but there are 5 different elements. The 1-2 months of every season tends to be the reigning element of the season. While the 3rd month tends to the transition period where the reigning element fades away and the new season is being born. During such a month the Earth influence is strongest. Thus, your fire is weak in the Summer season since it falls in the 3rd month. The seasons of birth simply determines how each of the element strengthen will be for the various five element affecting your chart. How much of each element you have plus the seasonal influence will then determine if you are finally weak or strong. To be Strong, it means you need to have more Favourable element when compared to unfavourable element. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  23. Dear Jacky, jacky chan wrote: I just read that fountains are not good for the bedroom. But I recently bought a fountain and placed in the bedroom to help me sleep. The soothing sound and the increased humidity from these fountains really helps me sleep better. These fountains are made to help people who have insomia relax and get better rest. Here is a link to these fountains and all the reviews for them are good. Firstly, when I read the word fountain, what comes to my mind is like a fairly large size water feature that will occupy a significant area in the room. What you have provided in the links are what we call small water feature that you can place anywhere like at your desk etc. So it is quite different when you compare to a fountain. As such it is really no issue to have such a water feature. Especially if it has beneficial effects for you. I mean whatever that is able to relax you is always good. If you feel more rested and relax, you will work better and thus being able to have better health/wealth/happiness. Since this is not a real fountain feature, I personally do not think there will be any issue if you put in even in the bedroom. I mean anything that benefits your health ie even like those ion plasma or HEPA air cleaner or like massage chair etc are generally welcome. As long as they do provide true health benefits, there should be no issue in using them. Remember, that with good health and relaxation will you be able to be more alert in your work which allows you generate wealth for your family. Hope that helps. 25. Dear Carla, Carla Rothacker wrote: I am confused from books I have been reading. I am seeking a favorable mobile home, and do not understand what method is correct to take facing compass direction. Most of these single wide homes are side by side lengthwise on lots, so they face foreward to the street - but the main door is always on one side. Which side is the true facing direction? The reason why youget confused is because Feng Shui was never designed for mobile homes. There is no such traditional analysis that will work for a mobile home. I mean say we know North is good. For a mobile home you can always park it in such a way that you face North so it is unlike a pre-built house which once you build it it remains fixed or unchangable. Carla Rothacker wrote: I am also confused how to use bagua on this sort of home, for example, 14' wide by 72' long. Is it true that I should use only the center 3 guas? If so, do I take these from the facing direction or the direction the main door faces? I read that narrow dwellings are impractical for compass school and the 9 squares methods. That would also make flying star impossible, no? Since a mobile home changes depending on how you park, it is not possible to apply like the flying star or eight house concept effectively. Reason I say this is simply, if you park facing North, then design your home based on this North facing. The moment you park say West, then your feng shui layout that you arranged based on North will be entirely different. So for mobile home, the only tools you can use are like your ba zi, the types of colour scheme. Based on what I know about mobile home, the space is so limited that even choosing direction which is good is also going to be hard simply because of the space constraint. So there will be very little you can apply except the correct colour scheme and decoration to make the mobile home look nice and welcoming. Otherwise, very little of the normal feng shui method will apply well on such a homes. Mobile Home as the term means ability to move from place to place. Hope that helps.
