For Yang Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the living, like you and me; based on the rough info that you had provided; assuming facing direction is your good direction and if you are an East Group; which you have stated as SE; naturally, your best facing directions are all the North, South, SE and East directions. 4. Yin Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the day is different. Firstly are you living person or a dead person? If one is dead (deceased or kaput); then Yin Feng Shui is about sittting on a good direction facing the bad direction. 5. So you want to apply : "Dead (Yin)" or "Alive (Yang)" Feng Shui? 6. If one is alive; then one should properly apply the correct ONE. 7. For example, if you still can't understand; here goes:- 7.1. Imagine a living person: the living person can sit up, right? As your message did not mention what type of home; you intend to tilt. Further to what I had mentioned; better think twice IF one intends to till a terrace home. For example, still possible to tilt a corner unit of a terrace. But again, further study is needed; as it also depends on the angle of tilt and how it affects the overall top-down (helicopter view) profile: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, a corner under such as that shown under Marking in RED "A". I don't see how one could tilt say a terrace home sandwiched between other homes such as shown as Marking in RED "C". For both a terrace home and may / could include a semi-detached home; further investigations may be needed. While; if the home is a standalone such as a bungalow house; then, this has a better chance of success especially if the angle is not too acute and the new shape harmonises with it's surroundings. Dear Master,We recently bought a North 2 facing house (10 degree) and planning to change the house direction to NE by tilting the FRONT wall of the house 25 degree. To ensure that the Sitting Palace will also change to SW we will do the same to the back wall of the house. These are some considerations:- 1. Location, location and location: 1.1. How large is the home's frontage and how much space is there between the home and the neighbours? 1.2. If the home is a standalone e.g. bungalow; then much the better. 1.3. But if the home is sandwiched between a block of homes e.g. a block of terrace homes "joined" together; then the actual facing direction is based on the "uniform" block of terrace homes. Thus, even if you change your facing direction of the home; it may be temporary and - if say you tilt at say 25 degrees; the terrace home stands out like a sore thumb! 2. But if the home is a bungalow (standalone); higher the success rate if one tilts the entire home. But if the tilt is again for just the main door; then again this is considered temporary. Ultimately, the home would still have the facing based on the entire frontage of the home. 3. There is no difference; say if one places the main door sideways... it is the facing direction that mostly counts. 4. Frankly, best to get a geomancer to look at the feasibility on-site as it is only fool hardy really to rely on advice by penning down a few lines of text. Frankly, please re-read my earlier reply. The clue (I repeat) again is : How many mouth does a home have?

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Do you think a person or individual or a "normal" human being has how many mouths? 2. Determine where is the frontage of the home and back of the home. Then:- 2.1 In my opinion, based on the layout plan; the mouth of your home seems to be at Marking in purple "A". This could most likely be the frontage of the home. (One never know; marking in RED, "B" could maybe be the facing direction - instead of at the purple "A".) 3. But nevermind, we are not directly looking into the facing and sitting direction. 4. Assuming that marking in purple "A" is the facing and mouth of the house;then as mentioned under Para 1; above; this house should have only one proper mouth. 5. Thus, the garage door in this instance should not be considered as the mouth of the house. If so, there should not be an issue with the garage door facing the internal staircase.

Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!

This has more to do literally with commonsense. For example, majority of the time:- 1. Landed property: Most of the time, this is the clear space area or passage way area. 2. For many smaller condos; usually, this area is close to the passageway leading towards the other "organs" of the home. 3. For some condos and government housing board flats; this area is sometimes within the toilet and or toilet door area or again the passage way area. 4. Thus, commonsense would mean that most likely if any hacking; would be the "surrounding rooms e.g. making the master bedroom larger or demolishing a wall in the bedroom area for a walk-in wardrope or making the room larger or even partition it. 5. Thus, commonsense or cowsense says that 99 percent of all homes be it landed or condo or private flats; there is really nothing much at the centerpoint - other than usually fixtures. It is not like one often encounter a bedroom smack in the middle of the bedroom or other important rooms that need configuration. 6. Therefore, you are merely stating the obvious; just that maybe one just don't see it; 7. So what if one hangs a piece nail to place a picture on a wall; usually such things ain't even considered as a "renovation". 8. If one's home is a palace or white house with "wings"; then maybe; but tiny apartments or homes... is as mentioned above, often fixed. For example, if the centrepoint is at the toilet door; what renovation are you talking about? 1. Frankly, Feng Shui has nothing to say about breaking wind. 2. In the first place, Feng Shui is not a cure all or know all or everything revolves around Fung Sway. 3. You might be creative but seriously Qi or Chi has nothing to do with breaking wind! 5. Away from the topic of Feng Shui, seriously go examine the food that the person eats! There are lots of food that can cause "wind". Red meats and certain vegetables.. do help create more wind.

These are some of the considerations: 1. Frankly, one has to see beyond the "bedroom corner" and the main door. 2. For example, there is a difference between (see attachment) Layout A or Layout B. 3. If your home is "Layout A"; where the bedroom door does not directly face the main door: see attachment: Markings A or A1 ; or the door bedroom door could be at the other side; then the considerations are different from that of Layout B. 4. If assuming your Layout is A; sometimes it may be a blessing in disguise if there are some openings at BLUE marking "C". Just close your eyes and imagine... if you shift your main door to the right and if one opens window(s) frequently; this is considered inauspicious especially if you don't have a partition or simply: allowing qi to flow directly from the main door out towards the back. 5. If your layout is Layout B. Then one additional complication is that if you leave your bedroom door (as shown under Marking in red B) then just imagine if the bedroom door is left open; take a look at theattached illustration: can you imagine the purple line Marking "F"(where the wall of the bedroom becomes like a "knife" slicing towards the maindoor? 6. In addition, under Layout B,one has to be careful of any openings directly facing the bedroom. Ifany of the openings e.g. in greenMarking "D" or "E" = windows opened, then qi would leak out of the home. 7. Thus, if your Layout is Layout A; then the small portion of the wall facing the main door is less of an issue. And in my opinion, can be left alone. Especially if shifting the main door would mean that there may be more window openings : especially if the windows or any other openings are always opened. 8. Under Layout B; it is more complicated as one may have to close the bedroom door; when not in use and other factors; that I had mentioned under Para 5. 9. Therefore, in my opinion, don't just look at the "smaller" picture; but think of all the repercussions that I had mentioned.
