The Geomancer has already confessed that he can't be bothered to change his work directions YEARLY! The Geomancer also cited an example that many people themselves so long as they stay in a same home and occupy the same bedroom (room); majority don't change their study directions on a YEARLY basis! And the Geomancer has also stated that most likely, your Feng Shui has no staying power! Most likely in a YEAR's TIME your Feng Shui is like "GONE WITH THE WIND". Therefore, you are a FREE MAN OR WOMAN OR NEITHER; why suffer each YEAR to find which directions NOT TO sort of THING! SIAO!

How to pick out THEYEARLY PRACTITIONERS=SLAVES of Fung Sway: 1. These homo-sapiens are the ones that perhaps; have never heard of the word Fung Sway or had remotely heard of it a few years ago. 2. These homo-sapiens; suddenly, wake-up slap themselves and decided that just because the Jones change direction of their study or work YEARLY directions; these homoids decided to do the same. 3. These homoids or crazy homo-sapiens did not realise that after their interest wane; so their YEARLY urge to change their or so called friends directions will die outsome-time or later.. usually earlier... 4.I can understand if onesuddenly found that one mayperhaps be an East group person and try their best to make a "one-time" change to this good direction ONCE. THIS IS OK! 5. But to those homoids aka homo-sapiens thatTRY to changetheirstudy or work directions;YEARLY... bet you in 10 yeartime... you will be doing something else instead of following your so called YEARLY routine... In Hokkien we call these people "SIAO" (mad = crazy) and "SE BAY BO TAI CHI CHOW" (too bloodly free is it?)

Frankly, it is beyond this forum as there is very limited information to go on. It may be a coincidence and/or a contributing factor. In general, a spiral staircase is always not the best choice in a home: as if you have check pastmessages; somehow, it is not "friendly" to the flow of qi. In order to reduce the bad effects (if any) The Concept of Maximizing Marksis always a sound way of trying to reduce bad qi and to try to improve the "marks" for a home.

Some Feng Shui is always based on commonsense or "cowsense". == Extract of past forum posting == For example, on the statement of "building a wall at the back to prevent qi from escaping ". In a commonsense approach, if we look at this from a wider picture, this seems a very good point. Not so much of the view that 'qi could escape" but rather, - once in a while, sometimes we read of landslides. Sometimes, even the best homes build on a stable foundation uphill, could not stand the force of gravity. Especially an unfortunate very heavy downpour (perhaps of several days) plus a weaked reinforcement. == End == Unfortunately, in this recent case of Christchurch, New Zealand, something other than a heavy down-pour.. in this case an earthquake... and the force of gravity... can cause landslides.... Frankly, in my opinion, go for it! Not many people or only a few percentile of every cohort in a year are eligible for medicine! Within medicine there are lots of fields of specialisation! So being a weak metal person should not be a hurdle or a stumbling block! Therefore, go for it, please! If I have a son like him would be very proud!!!

Frankly, this is nothing new, here. Use the search feature on the TOP-LEFT frame of this forum for things like "Kitchen above bedroom" And you will not be alone in this kitchen above bedroom thing:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=5457&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=19879&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=17237&new= In fact, this message has some commonsense information like installing a smoke detector or best to install a proper fire panel or something like that:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=9848&new=

These are some of the considerations:- 1. An ordinary compass may be affected by metal near-by. Thus if one's home has concrete with steel-re-bar in it; the compass readings may affect the compass. 2. In fact, it is always best to take a compass reading even outside of the home especially on a grass area (but again) some grass areas may have embedded metallic items. 3. Thus, take a few readings or use the street directory type of reading... do a search and there are some examples of doing so. 4. Frankly, it does not matter whether you take a reading from the pillow, the centrepoint of the bedroom, the living room; so long as the compass needle always matches and does not sway more than 10 degrees from any degree; then it is fine or OK. 5. Therefore, so long as the needle of the compass or if nowadays, you can use tools like an iphone and/or Samsung galaxy or galaxy s or tab type of item; you can find the direction 6. Thus, for sleeping directions it is always standing at where one suppose to place one's feet and the direction for best sleeping is based on where one's head is pointed towards. 7. I am glad that you find this forum useful!

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. Although, there are three kinds of luck:- 1.1. Heaven or born with 1.2. Earth or Feng Shui 1.3. Human or man luck factors (feelings: comfortable, unease etc..) 2. Often even if one has "technically perfect" ways to place say a bedhead or study direction; often, it is how comfortable one feels or one's feelins count MOST! 3. Thus, one can get the Feng Shui 100 percent suppose to be correct; but if the person who say occupies a bedroom don't feel comfortable via the Feng Shui suggestion; also no use. 4. Thus ultimately the Human or Man factors has a high weigthage over Earth luck! 5. In this real life example, this baby girl of 5 years old; prefer her bed position as shown under the attachment even if we the adults say that the other positions are "far superior" in terms of Feng Shui. 6. On paper, see attachment, the Feng Shui advice did not take into consideration the afternoon sun! 7. It is the same thing as the study table. For most of us or even for our children; it does not mean that you must change their study table directions based soley on Feng Shui. 8. Many of us have our comfort zone; thus, if we have been "comfortably" studying at a specific location or direction; what makes someone think that we would do better from other locations and directions? if everything else remains the same.

These are some of the considerations:- A. This is because East sector; has both the Five Yellow and Tai Sui at that sector. 1. Would there be any difference if I renovate the house and change the direction of the door by building an inner door? i.e face North instead B. Firstly, unless the you bought a small private enclosed area and COULD place a gate cum door at the other direction; otherwise; it is not practical to do so. C. Look at it this way, you mean that if next year, and coincidentaly, if North happens to be a bad sector; you need to change the door back to say East? Ain't this "rubbish" or fool hardy? or what? D. Frankly, only the mad or a lunatic does this sort of thing. Please don't ever follow these people. 2. If i renovate this year but only move in after CNY next year, would it be better? 3. If I have to move in this year, are there any ways to minimise the 'damage' / disturbance? 4. Does the misfortune or happenings limit to this year? ie. things will be ok after next year CNY. 5. What is your best advice to me? E. In fact, yours is not the only first time that such things happen nor will it not happen again. F. The key thing is that you can do as many renovations as possible BEFORE you move-in. ONCE you moved-in SIMPLY avoid doing any: Touch or disturb that area: re-painting; hacking, drilling that sort ofthin. G. And if the main door is facing East, then for this yearly, simply SLAM-SHUT the door, that's all. H. There is no "continuity" in the habits of Feng Shui for many:- "Come-on" many of us have better things to do; and once; we had done say our renovations and for some; don't do anymore research; then this Feng Shui thing will stop. Tell me; how many have from birth to youth to adulthood and past prime to look at such things even on a yearly basis? Even as a geomancer, I really can't be bothered to change my work directions (if ever)... What has this crazy world become? An asylum for the Lunatic Fung Sway franatic??? Nowadays, gone too far! There are simply ridicious thoughts even by new messages that say: This year, facing east is no good, so should I face somewhere else? You mean these people will foreever on a yearly basis look at how they sit and face? Just ponder over your childhood; many of us are in a Primary school for a total of 6 years; Secondary school for a total of usually 4 years and Pre-u (2 years) Poly (3 years). Tell me, who the hell changes their study directions yearly? Unless... change bedroom or home.. otherwise, one will be most likely studying from the same table and chair all our teen lives! If your interest in Feng Shui wanes.. tomorrow; one can't even be bothered to change seats and table facing directions... Go get a proper life..! Please!

The Beeh Low See Buddhist Temple is nestled between Jalan Jurong Kechil and Toh Yi. The main building of the temple is sitting South facing North and elevated on a hill. Based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; it is said to be sitting on a hill, facing water". What is unique about this temple is the entire Toh Yi Housing Board Flats were literally built around it. Here, the temple came first; before the homes!

Usually, these "charms" are related to the Tibetian style. This charm was seen in asubsidairy of a "famous" Mee Pok store = Jalan Tua Kong.

There is no end to the types of Lion figurines found on gate-posts. This home has both the White Lion (representing) the metal element and a Brown coloured Lion (representing) wood element...

These are some of the considerations: 1. Even under the traditional Chinese zodiac sign; although Dog and rabbit are considered a good match, however, over time; it can be considered as a "dull match":- http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/areference/crbdo.htm 2. Based purely on the Chinese zodiac, most likely the "spark" or "romance" between the pair is.... 3. However, in modern times; there are other levels of considerations:- 3.1. Earth Luck or Feng Shui (involves things like plotting a flying star chart and disarming stars like #3 etc..) 3.2. Human or man luck factors: this includes your boss's current mindset; or sometimes your boss may have family problems or other personal matters; the business environment etc... 4. If you were in good talking terms with your boss in the past, perhaps, find the right time to speak to him on a "personal level" to find out more.

For majority of us; our birthdays are the days when we decided to come out naturally from hiding! Only a select few are every coaxed out of hiding!
-
Further to what I had mentioned, a proper Ba Zi analysis will be based on one's day of birth. Thus, in this example, 1 Jan 2011 is an earth element day. 2 Jan 2011 is a water element day. 3 Jan 2011 is a wood element day. 4 Jan 2011 is an earth element day. 5 Jan 2011 is a metal element day. 6 Jan 2011 is a metal element day. 7 Jan 2011 is a earth element day. In addition, every two hours: 11 to 1, 1 to 3, 3 to 5, 5 to 7, 7 to 9, 9 to 11 may influence a person's element not withstanding a person is a male or female. Thus, if a male is born say on 2 Jan 2011 and depending on his birth time; he may be a weak water element person or even a strong water element person. Therefore, you cannot justask the question: "Can someone conceive in 2012... and both parents areweak this or weak that sort of thing. Until the baby comes out of "hiding" or coaxed out of hiding; only then can one be 100 percent certain what element and strength that baby's element is.
-
In my opinion, I believe there is slight flaw in your argument. 1. You zoom in that the parents are weak metal Dog and weak water Horse. 2. Suddenly, you compare this with such a general senario: "a child born in 2012? 3. This should not be the case. This is like comparing the results found using an Hospital MRI scan vs an X-ray result. 4. Here, the detailed information e.g. being a weak metal Dog is akin tothe detailed result similar to the results found using the Hospital's MRI scan. 5. The year 2012 is similar to a chestx-ray : yielding general information. Such an x-ray info may work well with say looking at broken bones if any; but for body tissues; the most it can see is "dark tissues" or suspected TB case. 6. To be fair, if you need to compare it with the year; you should have to compare it witha day. 7. Thus, for example ifApril21, 2012 belongs to the weak watermale or perhaps weak or strong water female. 8. Even within the 2012; every day has it's own element. 9. If one conceives and goes for natural birth; then one is at the mercy of that specific day andalso gender consideration. A maleor female baby make make a difference in their birth element and even the time of birth can or could sway being say a weakwater person to a strong water person or vice-versa. 10.Even in acesarian birth; it also depends onthe doctor's availability;whether the operating theatre is available or not. Sometimes born between 11am to 12.59pm can be different from a person say born at 1pm to2.59pm sort of thing. 11. Therefore, cannot just look at year aloneto base a decision toconceive or what. Unfortunately for some; even if they try to conceive; hard-luck; either theman's pistol shoots dud rounds or the female's clock stopped working... 12. In Singapore, and many countries today; the government would be very thankful that the faster one produces (as many as possible)! Go ahead! Make the governmentvery proud! And at the same time; hopefully, filial piety.. befalls on the couple! Yeah!

1. These are the photos of the 10 Qing (Ching) Dynasty coins. 2.Other than coins with auspicious sounding wordings; the Qing Dynasty coinsare often used, today as symbolisms in Feng Shui. 3. This is because the Qing Dynasty is one of the longest dynasties in China, stretchingfrom the reign of Shun-chifrom 1644 AD to 1911 AD.This dynasty : outwit, outlastany other dynasties by a mile. 4. Often, under symbolism in Feng Shui; if you want to use such coins; try to choose coins from two of the longest lasting reigns that represents periods of prosperity such as Kang-shi or Chien-lung. For example in the 11th month of the 16th year of Chien-lung's reign 1752 AD he was just 41 years of age, Emperor Chien-lung celebrated his mother's 60th birthday. 5. Real or geniune coins belonging to such an era (various periods) arevery rare; today. Thus majority of the coins used in Feng Shui are non-originals; they are either made of bronze, brass or a combination of such metals. These are duplicate or simply called"fake' coins. 6. Depending on where one buys the coins and quantity or bybargaining; the price may range from Singapore $0.30 cents each to $0.60 cents per piece. 7. The wordings side is often known as the Yang side. Which has four Chinese mandarin characters. While the Yin side has two inscrpitions "or flower side".

A. COLOUR OF THE MAIN GATE:- 1. Frankly, in my opinion, in modern times; this type of thinking is like "stone age" ideas. 2. For sure, if you are living in Singapore, I can assure that I have literally walked thru so many various landed property estates: in the East, North-East, West, NW, Central/Southetc.. 3. I have yet to come across "multi" coloured in particular: the main gate. 4. I have yet to come across a blood or maroon red main gate nor a blue coloured one nor a bright yellow (unless it is a temple). B. COLOUR OF THE MAIN DOOR:- 5. However, for the main door, yes, colours are considered. 6. Many geomancers in Singapore; felt that Singapore island is in the "south" e.g. South or tip of once a member of West Malaysia. 7. Thus, here, it quite similar to your home facing south; geomancers thus say that a white or off-white main door is the "best" overall (general) colour. 8. In general; a wood door e.g. in any range of wood tones are fine. For example, if one stays in a condo; there were times where a subsidary proprietor (tenant) tired to change the colour or the door; but was told to replace back the same design main door. Thus, for condos; there is restriction. 9. Therefore, if the main door is of wood range e.g. maple wood colour, pine wood, teak wood, cherry wood, oak wood and other wood tones.. it is considered neutral. 9.1 On the practical side; such doors are easy to maintain; and the natural oil on our hands, will not do much 'damage" if any - constant usage of the door. Many of such doors can easily be re-oiled or varnished. 9.2 In the future, should one sell the home; a wooden door or main door would be neutral. Rather than a door painted in blue or yellow or red. Anyway, if stained or painted, can be repainted. White doors, often after a few months; marks or stains can be seen close to the door knob area. 10. Thus, if you not using bold colours like blue, red, yellow, green; then should plot out the Flying Star chart and check whether that sector is suitable or not. For example, if the sector has a Water Star #3; then best not to paint the main door GREEN.
