1. So long as when sleeping, the legs are not directly facing the bedroom door. 2. The two most common approach are:- 2.1. No issue if the head faces the bedroom door instead of the leg. Might want to consider switching sides when sleeping. 2.2. Some beds have a courtesy (privacy) board and if this courtesy board is at the same level of the legs, it will "cover" the legs and/or 2.3. A low linen cupboard can be placed at the foot of the bed that is closest to the door. 3. Ideal choice is to relocate the bed (if possible).

Initial Opening of Door Procedures - Updated

1. Red for the Chinese means auspicious. Thus all fa gao(s) see attachment below must have "red dot(s)" or in the past, a red piece of cut-out paper stuck on the top of the fa goa. 2. Fa Gao comes in various colours. In Singapore, the most common colours are this brown colour. Other popular colours are orange (which represents gold) or pink colour. Rarely white is used. As white represents "death". Even if white is used, it has to have the red dot(s) on it or a again a red piece of paper stuck on the top of the fa gao. 3. Nowadays; smaller sized fa gao; meant more for eating also comes in the popular "pandan" green colour. -
1. Singapore is a multi racial country. Very Harmonious! 2. For example, take a look the pictures, below: You can actually see a Christian Church side-by-side to a Chinese Temple! The location: Boon Lay Drive, Singapore 3. One up for religious tolerance!

1. Theseflats are the first generation Housing Development Board (HDB) government flats. 2. Many of such flats were completed by the HDB between 1964 to 1984. 3. Characteristics of many of such flats:- 3.1. Attached is a typical corridor 3-room flat ( 2 bedrooms plus the living room = 3 rooms). 3.2. One cannot get the facing direction of such flats wrong! As the main door is having the same facing as the living room windows. 3.3.If one were to take a Feng Shui ruler and measure the dimensions of such a flat (apartment); the door at marking "E" is Feng Shui ruler friendly. Many years back, the HDB did not tell anyone that they had make the main entrance door Feng Shui friendly. 3.4. These flats in a block of flats are characterised by a rectangular shaped building or the block is considered as an "earth element" A "stable" and harmonous form. 3.5. If you carefully look at the original layout (see attachment); one will find that a wall is purposely built at marking "A". This follows the Feng Shui premise that qi should not flow from the main door directly out of the home. 3.5.1 Unfortunately, some owners who were not aware of the Feng Shui repercussions; had hacked down this wall. The morale of the story is that some people had the mistaken notion that Feng Shui is about hacking walls. 3.5.2 On the contrary, good Feng Shui practises even "forbid" hacking too many walls. In this case, if the wall at marking "A" was hacked away; qi from the main door would flow out of the home. The implication is that the owners will not be able to save money! 3.6. If one were to go to such a "virgin" layout and take a measurement of marking "D" will be surprised that the opening is actually also Feng Shui ruler friendly. Unless one had done some renovations and changed the opening then, this may not be true. 3.7. The minor flaw of such a layout is that the two bedroom doors : bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 face each other! Thus, under symbolism in Feng Shui; when ever both parties come out of the room " it looks like " they are at logger head with each other. The simplest "cure" is to place a "red" dot on both door knobs so that each party can see "eye" to "eye" with each other. 4. This layout plan happens to be a unit from Marine Parade. And between 1984 to 2003; these flats had their toilets upgraded and during the upgrading exercise; majority of the owners agree on a utility room : as marked in YELLOW in the attachment.

It is good to attach a sketch. Else, hard to comprehen what you are mentioning. Anonymous wrote: We would like to know if we can use any cure for this. Is it OK if I place a light at both ends of the back side?

The main idea is to have good ventilation. So long as the plant does not inadvertently block the qi, this is fine or Ok. I would prefer say a fan vs this plant thing. (Not sure what is the weather like, thou) Anonymous wrote: Thank you so much for the logic, detail explanation, we will move the bed to the side of the window per your suggestion. Wewill also invest the carbon monoxide issue. Besides, if we put a plant outside of the bedroom, will it help? Thanks

1. Frankly, there is no precedence inba zion "such things". 2. Firstly:Ba ziis not a "cure all" or "everything cannot revolve around" in the name ofBa zi. 3. Designing a company LOGO : Yes, ba zi can be used as a basis to select colours and shapes. For designing a brochure "You ought to be kidding? Rite? 4. The discipline of designing a brochure - if you need experts go to the those "Advertiser - illustrators of sorts" not to a Geomancer, please.

Maysprings condominium was finalized during the Flying Star Period 7 in 1998. The land tenure is leasehold for 99 years. This condominium consists primarily of two identical rectangular blocks: Blocks 2 and 6. Positioned between these two blocks is Block 4, which is centrally located on the rectangular plot and houses the clubhouse. The majority of the apartments are oriented towards Flying Star S1 or N1, with fewer units facing E1 and W1. A distinctive characteristic of this condominium is the "openings"; please refer to the attachment: maysprings1.jpg, where the openings are highlighted in RED: A and B. This type of opening, according to Shapes and Forms, is designed to facilitate the flow of qi. This condominium adopts the concept of openings from a renowned development in Hong Kong, where an opening was created to permit the dragon qi from the rear of that development to pass through this "hole," thereby allowing beneficial qi to circulate. Such openings are rare in Singapore. One example is another condominium located in the East Coast area, and another is The Sterling condominium on Bukit Timah Road. According to the same attachment: maysprings1.jpg, some geomancers have indicated that the units marked in PURPLE: labeled as "C" and "D" are deemed inauspicious, as these units lack the "support" beneath them that other units possess, where they are stacked directly on top of one another. Visually, some may perceive these units as unsafe, even though they are structurally sound.

1. The act of giving shoes is a tradition in China, much like the custom of avoiding giving clocks or bells as gifts. 2. However, considering these shoes are "old", there may be some flexibility in how we perceive them as gifts. It could be seen more as a kind gesture rather than a traditional gift. 3. For individuals of other ethnicities, this may not be a concern, as there is no obligation to adhere to customs of a different culture. 4. I recall a time, many years ago, even in a predominantly Chinese community, where there was a promotion to purchase a new pair of branded sports shoes at a discount by bringing in an old pair to either recycle or donate to those in need in another country. 5. As long as one's intentions are sincere and heartfelt, I believe this type of behavior is perfectly acceptable. Many Chinese families have a practice of passing down clothing from older siblings or cousins to younger children, so it would be a shame to waste shoes that are still in good condition. Anonymous wrote: Dear Master I have a few extra shoe that I do not want to keep anymore. Is it 'pantang' to give an old shoe (but still wearable) to someone. will he (the recipient) have a good luck or bad luck. thanks fr yr adv

The Infiniti is a freehold condominium that achieved its Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) earlier this year (2009). The site is shaped like one side of a Boeing 747 wing or resembles the elongated, unnatural form of a shark's fin, to some extent. This development consists of a total of 8 blocks, with stacks oriented towards either Flying Star NE 1 or SW 1. The compass degree margin is relatively narrow between the line of emptiness, specifically between NE 1-NE 2 or SW 1-SW 2. Fortunately, it can be classified as either NE 1 or SW 1. It is unfortunate that although NE 1 technically possesses favorable Flying Star Feng Shui, this side of the stacks faces the major AYE highway, which is quite noisy, particularly during the morning and afternoon due to heavy traffic. The most favorable blocks are highlighted in red on the attached site map. Additionally, Blocks 39F, 39G, and 39H face a 'mountain' or the block of flats of the Carabelle condominium. As per Flying Star Period 8, the SW 1 facing direction is associated with the highly auspicious Mountain star #8; this mountain star #8 is automatically activated by the presence of the blocks of flats at Carabelle. Please refer to the photos. Carabelle achieved its TOP around the same time as Centris, located at Jurong West Central 3. 1. Please ponder over this " Rome is not built within a day". 2. And if applying Holistic Feng Shui is as easy as placing an amulet or just replied to another question of using a Ba gua mirror to attract qi - this is ridiculous! 3. Might as well wait for money to fall from the sky. 4. These are some of the Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui 4.1 Some of these concepts need understanding and some are strategies to better DIY Feng Shui:- * Fast Food Feng Shui * Feng Shui Triage * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star

1. Frankly, you must have a misconception of a Ba Gua (Pakua) mirror. 2. Do you really know what actually the ba gua mirror is (are) used for? 3. Traditionally, for the Chinese it is used under two main reasons : 3.1. Ba Gua mirrors with the 8 trigram markings on the outside with or without mirror is meant to scare away "evil spirits". There are many variants including those with the twin door gods, and all types of mirror or non-mirror in the middle of this ba gua. 3.2. To deflect sha qi or poison arrow. And the concave one is to "replace" the missing corner.

1. Further to what I had mentioned earlier, not too concerned with the water tank but rather: Safety First! 2. Please see attachment - of concentrations of carbon monoxide (in the event that car is turned on for a few minutes or more. If the child's head is close to the bedroom door and if the door is opened or there are gaps below the door; I am sure that fumes would concentrate at the locationed marked in "grey tones". 3. While assuming that there is a window - fresh air; I would prefer to sleep with my head close to this fresh air area. More healthy and safer. 4. Sometimes, I have to say "TO HELL with the Eight House concept" in such a situation if it contradicts safe practises! 5. In fact, I would prefer to invest in a carbon monoxide detector (if there is one) for this bedroom ... unless of course the home has and will not have any cars that run on combustion engine. If you use an electric car.. hmm I have no say! 6. Even if there are no cars, would'nt be best to sleep in this positon? As it will overall contribute to better air-flow into the bedroom i.e. fresh air from outside?

1. Please note that the Eight House or East/West Group is considered Nice-to-apply but not a Must Apply. 2. Your current position of the bedhead next to the bedroom door is "acceptable". But may be a concern : if we consider the Shapes and Forms and commonsense approach to Feng Shui. 3. Please see attachment and comments below:- 3.1 Marking "C" is a dead qi area. Thus it is good that you had not or would not place the bed flushed against this wall / area marked as "C". As the constant flow of wind (if any) from the window to the door would often not circulate very well at marking "C". 3.2 I don't know what is after area "A'. Hopefully it is an opening and not the main door or an enclosed area. If so; TOUCHWOOD; if unexpectly if a vehicle's engine is on for quite sometime; the fear of carbon dioxide may seep into the bedroom. And overwhelm someone especially if their head is so close to the bedroom door. 3.3 Thus, based on Shapes and Forms & Commonsense; I would still prefer to place the bed towards or sharing an external wall "opening" or a window. Thus I would prefer to place the bed as shown in the attachment! " To hell with the Eight House concept... as Safety comes FIRST!" 3.4. The items you had mentioned - opposite wall of the bed-head in your layout plan is less of a concern.

1. It depends. If the base star is #8; then a clock can still be used to disarm MS#5 with WS#2. 2. But if the star is a MS#8 in the above arrangement e.g. MS#8 with WS#5 or #2 then it is preferred not to use the moving clock as it is detrimental to the Mountain Star #8. 3. If the auspicious water star is #8; then a moving clock can still be used as Metal and water are harmonious combiantions.

五黄 Wǔhuáng Frankly, like time, we cannot go back to reverse it. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best. Mary T. wrote: I recently had some renovations done at my north and northeast sectors and there were hacking and noise created during the midst of it. I realise these sectors are afflicted by the annual/mthly afflictions of 5yellow and taisui. I notice things have not been going smoothly in my household and although I have all the remedies in store, things are still happening one after another because july/august has the double 5 and 3 in these sectors. Please advise if there is anything I can do after the renovation is complete so that things can go back to normal? I know I have accidentally activated these sectors. Thanks

Carissa Park Condo @ 2, 4, 6 Flora Drive Tenure: Freehold No. of Units: 528 Year of Completion: 2003 (Flying Star Period 7) Developer: Tripartite Developers Pte Ltd Range of Unit sizes: Studio: 58 60 sq m 2 bedrooms: 86 126 sq m 3 bedrooms: 115 136 sq m 4 bedrooms: 139 sq m Penthouse: 196 280 sq m ------------------------------------------------------------------- This condo is located at Flora Road which is very close to the Singapore Changi Airport. This area in the last few years is starting to have many condo developments near-by. What is unique about this condo is that the developer has touted it as a "distinguished figure 8". Distinguished? Well to the Chinese; in particular the Cantonese dialect group; the phonetic sound of 8 is like "Prosperity" "Fa". Many other developments have blocks arranged in a horse shoe shaped but few has two "rings" with the focal point of the swimming pool(s) - there are two pools within the two circles / rings of the Eight layout. Both halves of the 8 is a mirror image of each other. And one good thing is that much thought has been given to the external Shapes and Forms. Although the building is in the earth shaped "squarish external" - pointed corners don't really protude or act like "random porcupine" spikes.. but rather pointed edges or corners of buildings face each other - thus neutralising each other. With it's two halves of circular shape; this development has all the Flying Star facing directors or close to nearly all the 15 directions or mountains of the Flying Star permutations. Thus, fortunes can vary significantly from one neighbour to another!

1. For a Strong Wood person; fire element will help to reduce the strong wood. Thus fire element is considered harmonious to the person. 2.
