  1. Casablanca condo has six well spread towers: 1 to 6. It was completed in 2006 by Mediterranean Properties Pte Ltd with a total of 478 units. It is near to the Singapore Americian School. Can you see "jumping frogs" in each of the 6 towers? Overall, the well spaced Towers is considered good in Feng Shui. And the jumping frogs ... implies lively activities especially for young occupants in the development.
  2. A common solution for a beam above the bed is the use of two bamboo flutes as shown below:- A more elaborate use of the "phoenix" and "dragon flute":- The two other alternatives are:- 1. A quarter shaped "flower". A rough sketch is shown, below. And the use of bamboo, flute in the position as shown below. THE MYTH ABOUT FALSE CEILING However, if it is a false ceiling or a low false ceiling, this is not the same as a beam. Since, firstly, the material is not made of concrete. And secondly, it is usually wider area. And in my opinion, it has more to do with one's feeling (to some who had read too many Feng Shui books) may rather become "uncomfortable" with the thought of a "beam" above their head as against the real "impact" on the person. THE MYTH ABOUT DOUBLE DECKER BEDS Some of us feel very concerned about having our children sleep in a double-decker bed. The rationale was because they felt that the double-decker upper bed "acts" like a beam on the person sleeping below. But, if one looks carefully, the entire surface of the upper bed is flat and not concentrated like a beam. For many years, many people have slept in one and do not suffer ill effects! Nowadays, double decker beds are still everywhere! In congested countries like Hong Kong, in university dormitories. And even in Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) camps! Many who slept under one, have graduated and lived happy lives. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. 1. Yesterday Tuesday 21 July 2009; I was at a client's new apartment on their procedures. 2. A friendly family. And her mum passed me her business card. She specialises in Traditional Chinese Customary Wedding Preparation Needs. 3. As such specific services are harder to find; you, your friends or relatives might want to find out more from the attachment.
  4. 1. You can find out the significance of what GREEN or rather what "wood" element is from this url:- http://talk.geomancy.net 2. Wood is represented by :- 2.1. Colours: Colours range from Brown to wood or wood tone colours AND GREEN colour. 2.2. Usually, under Flying Star Feng Shui for practical reasons, if a sector has bad #3 (bad wood) then it is often best to avoid the COLOUR GREEN. As we all know how to avoid brown or wood or wood tone... literally many natural furnitures - non laminated especially cabinets and even parquet floors or laminated floors are wood or woody or wood tone colour. 2.3. Under the Five Elements Concept:- 2.3.1 Wood element is also considered as TALL and Thin. Thus if a building e.g. a skyscraper is tall and thin then it is considered as a wood element. 2.3.2 Thus Petronas Towers, Kuala Lampur, Malaysia 1998 452m - 1483 ft is considered as two "trees". 3. The talk notes also shows types of careers associated with Wood element. Zhongqin Y. wrote: Seriously, I want to know about the meaning of "green" . Can I interprete "green" as energy saving computer (= environment friendly)? or it must be the color of PC-case or the color of laptop? I never seen PC/laptop/flat screen in green color here :-( They are usually black, silver, white or grey. Is it also ok to apply green color for other things like desk cover or other accesories (like mouse, keyboard, etc.)? 3.1. No, being GREEN or eco friendly is NOT equal to the Five Elements Concept of the "wood element" Which I had elaborated is symbolised by tall thin trees or green colour or wood or wood tone colours. 3.2. Thus if your PC / laptop flat screen plastic cover is actually GREEN colour, then it can be associated with the "wood" element. Plants also are associated with wood element. 3.3. PC accessories that are in green can be considered as belonging to the wood element. But these are "peanuts" or trivial as they are too small... Zhongqin Y. wrote: Dear Master Cecil Lee, Please allow me to take part in this thread, since I am also strong water person. Indeed your example is very good example! One (at least I) can not forget the example easily. Conclusion: With or without turbo charger the german cars (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, VW) are overall good cars and have also fans in Singapore! (note: I live in Germany ;-)) 4. Side track: Yeah, I only drive conti cars and my favourite cars are the BMW's. And my favourite forum is http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums
  5. 1. Usually, this is not a problem:- 1.1. As most people (out of personal concern) would try to avoid having the mirror face the bed. 1.2. Thus, so long as having the dresser mirror facing "else-where" to some is far, far better than facing the bed. 1.3. In fact, as many bedrooms are small and constrained by the way the bedroom door is located, an attached toilet, a fixed wardrope cabinet; windows.. there is literally not much place or space to place it. 2. The main issue (commonsense) is that some people may be rudely awoken if the dresser mirror "suddenly" reflects the morning or afternoon sun towards the bed. You don't want to have a situation where you need to "wear" sunglasses to bed or some do work on the bed... 3. More importanlty, you must find it practical and comfortable with it. Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil Lee, I am trying to arrange the dresser (with mirror) in my bedroom so that the mirror does not face the bed. I understand that mirror should not face the door, but is it OK for the mirror to face the window in bedroom? The window is closed all the time. Thank you for your helps.
  6. Excellent scientific information!
  7. If a child can see the view thru his window of a tower to the right side of his study table, it means, scholarly achievements for him.
  8. 1. Under this attachment; the red dots each represent a tower. The tower can be a structure to hold power lines or a radio broadcast post. 2. All the markings in purple: 1 to 4, pose no threat to this home: as there are no known openings (windows or doors) at the wall "facing" the towers.
  9. 1. No the "Christmas" tree is not considered a sha qi (poison arrow). 2. The tower may pose an issue. But you have to take a look at the attachment. 3. In addition, it seems that if your home has only one storey (level), I can't see clearly, but so long as the tower beam is hidden from your unit, no issue. Furthermore, your unit looks more like the RED marking B. So no issue if it does not directly "cut" into a window, opening or door.
  10. 1. Please see attachments, 2. If we place the bed frame slightly away from the wall, then as shown under the illustration: sleeping-under a beam.gif. 3. A "solution" is to purchase a bed with a storage cabinet above the bed-head postion as shown under the illustration: sleeping-under a beam2.gif 4. A more serious concern, rather; is the sharp corner of the concrete beam. The sharp corner of a concrete beam exerts a posion arrow with a range of 1 metre. 4.1 See illustration: sleeping-uner a beam1.gif: But if the distance of the beam is quite far, both purple markings A and B, would not be "attacked" by the beam.
  11. Attached, please find some of the past resources on "beams":- Some of the past resources on beams:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=17493&new= Will get Robert Lee, to fix the link to the various pictures to attached to this article. Your picture with markingB is quite similar to the "quarter flower" - which is symbolic of "holding up both sides of the beam". Thus the wooden panel wrapped around the beam can be considered (I suppose) as a cure. But frankly, it is still not too good to spent 2 1/2 hours per day below such a beam:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=16160&new= One of the ugliest cures.. nowadays.. many avoid like the plaque:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=4609&new= Will reply in the message on your Marking A. S C. wrote: Hi Cecil, Robert, Would like to seek your opinion on these pictures. Read some sites mention 'exposed' wooden beams as harmful. Are these considered beams since it's enclosed in concrete to form something like a lowered ceiling/enclave? Thanks! Regards.
  12. Further to what I had mentioned, what do you think of the profile of this condo resembles? To me, it resembles definitely a bird. As to what type of bird? Well, I feel that it looks more like either an Ostrich or a Peacock.
  13. 1. This condo is named afteran actual location in France calledCte d'Azur. TheEnglish know it asthe French Riviera, a modern resort. This famous coastlineis located in the south eastern are of France and it is near the Italian border. 2. This condo is at thesouthern coastline of Singapore; it tries to mimica seaside condominium some units offering panoramic sea views, maximised through full-height windows in the living rooms and master bedrooms. 3. Tenure of land is 99 years with a total of 612 units. Completed in 2005 by Marine Parade View Pte Ltd (Centerpoint Homes) 4. Types of Units: Studio: 840 - 915 sq ft 2 bedrooms: 1,109 - 1,357 sq ft 3 bedrooms: 1,271 - 1,389 sq ft 4 bedrooms: 1,540 - 1,680 sq ft 5. Cote d'Azur is next door to the very popular Parkway Parade Shopping Centre and Marine Parade Central amenities. 6. Can you find a total of 7 "frogs" (blocks) in this develoment? 6.1 This development has a total of 5 Blocks:3 blocks resemble the profile of three "sitting" frogs: Blocks 60, 62 and 70. While blocks 66 and 68 resembles two sets of "mating frogs" each. 7. Several condominiums adopt the frog profile. For example, another condominium known as Casablanca in Woodlands (Rosewood Drive) shares the FROG profile. Only difference is that Casablanca's blocks resemble "Jumping frogs".
  14. Eastpoint Green was completed in 1998 with a total of 684 units. It was developed by Nissho Iwai Corporation & Far East Organisation. Tenure of 99 years. Types of Units: Studio: 84 - 94 sq m 2 bedrooms: 89 - 121 sq m 3 bedrooms: 104 - 144 sq m 4 bedrooms: 175 - 195 sq m Penthouse: 215 sq m Eastpoint Green is directly opposite the Changi General Hospital. It is also within walking distance ofSimei MRT Station and Eastpoint Shopping Mall. Although the blocks "flow" with the site based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; but one of the major dislikes is that all the stacks (units) are in the shape of a "butterfly." Under symbolism in Feng Shui; a butterfly has a short life span. Thus the two major concerns whenever someone tries to look at this development is the "butterfly" profile and that it is directly opposite the Changi General Hospital. Surprisingly, severalSingapore (if any) had adopted the "butterfly" shape or profile.
  15. Country Park is a low rise condominium with a total of only 160 units. This condo T.O.P. in 2003. And was developed by UOL Development Pte Ltd. Types of Units: 2 bedrooms: 101 to 131 sq m 3 bedrooms: 122 to 160 sq m Penthouse: 161 to 163 sq m Country Park is opposite the Eastwood Centre, a small neighbourhood mall with a supermarket, clinic and some other retal shops. One unique thing about this condo is that it distinctly has units with their frontage @:- Facing directions of various stacks include: NE &/or SW North &/or South East &/or West A wide range of Flying Star directions. Overall, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui point of view, the layouts of the various blocks fit the profile of the land (site) very well. Well thoughtout development. This development is: Freehold. Worth considering for house-hunters.
  16. 1. Edelweiss Park comprises of 9 blocks each between 7 to 8 storeys high with a total of 517 apartments. This is a freehold development completed under Period 8: in 2006. The developer is Tripartite Developers Pte Ltd 2. The most distinctive feature is it's "long and narrow" drive-way from the Entrance (Guard House) to the actual development. 3. From a helicopter view; it resembles a bird. Some may mistaken for a distorted New Zealand Kiwi.. while others may mistake it for an Ostrich or an Ewe. 4. Not all stacks (units) are created equal. 4.1 In my opinion, I feel that this is one "messy" development. Why? Because, stacks can range from "Excellent, good, fair" to "poor, inauspicious, very inauspicious". 4.2 The is one development that has units on a continuum like hot or cold. Many of the stacks that have poor Shapes and forms are those that are "attacked" by sharp corners of neighbouring blocks! Do take a look and see if you can spot some of the "inauspicious stacks?" For example, Block 86, stack 23 has a pointed arrow aimed at Block 88, stack 25. There are so many "porcupines" in this development. 5. I could remember when the booking started; this was one of the most challenging condos in terms of Shapes and Forms evaluation. (Flying Star is much easier). Must constantly put on the "thinking cap" whenever called to evaluate a unit, here *SUCKS*
  17. 1. Evergreen Park is a mid-sized condo with a total of 394 units. This development was built by Evergreen Park Pte Ltd and was completed in 1999. Tenure of land is 99 years. 2. In general, a first glance at this site and one may think that the blocks are layout in a haphazard way. But if we look carefully, majority of the blocks are aligned parallel with each other. And there are three satellite blocks that are slanted to the majority of the blocks. 3. For this development; qi can vary drastically from one stack to another stack! 4. One of the most inauspicious stack is stack 11. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; it is literally squeezed between 09 - 10 with 06. Stack 06 is also being "attacked by stack 11. Highlighed in RED - See attachment Evergreen Park1.jpg 5. Please also see the outlines in PURPLE showing not so favourable units. 6. If a new development comes out with such a similar layout design, best to look at the stacks carefully. 7. Other than those marked in RED and PURPLE in the attachment, the rest of the stacks are generally acceptable. Thus this development can have extremes: Good or Auspicious vs Inauspicious stacks.

  19. For the last few years, I have the privilege to work on City Planning for a neighbouring country. I have worked on several projects for this country. This is just one of sample of a "city". In Singapore, it is just like the equivalent of planning Towns like Yishun, Woodlands and some projects as large as several Singapore towns put-together.
  20. Further to what I had mentioned, for those with difficulties in purchasing the "correct" conCAVE bagua mirror may look at Para 7.2 for more information on "alternatives" to the earlier Ba gua mirror that I had shown in a photo i.e. encased in a red "plastic" ring... Reference URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=22507&new= 6. ConCAVE mirror 7. In general, some use this to "SUCK" wealth. For example, some homes have missing corners e.g. North-West sector. And one way is to use a conCAVE mirror placed strategically to "suck" back the wealth. 7.1 As North West is an important sector, the heaven luck sector and the Head of the house, sometimes a missing corner here, may mean that the head of the house may not feel like returning home. 7.2 Even normal mirrors can be used i.e. for e.g. in Singapore at Howards storage (Howards has many chains in Austrialia), basement of Parkway Parade, they sell mirrors e.g. for "pulling beard" or for shaving.. where one sidehas a flat mirror while the other sidehas a "X2" or"X5" magnification. These mirrors are conCAVE!
  21. 1. In general, the concave mirror CAN / MAY be used to "suck" back wealth from a missing area - subject to other considerations. Anonymous wrote: Am I correct when I said that it's the SW sector that's missing? Do you have any suggestions on how we could ensure that we're following the feng shui principles in this condo unit? 2. Frankly, I am that free to figure out where is your compass directions. Some would indicate clearly on the layout plan. 3. There is indeed a missing corner as shown in the attachment, that's all. Anonymous wrote: Do you have any suggestions on how we could ensure that we're following the feng shui principles in this condo unit? 4. My "answer" to the question lies, HERE:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=24808&new Don't you think your question is too diverse? Rome was not built in a day and what you are asking is for Rome to be built in one day... Please go back to the drawing block... These are some of the Key Success Factors in applying good Feng Shui priciplies:- * Commonsense Approach Fact or Fiction? * Fast Food Feng Shui * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star Please note that one of the attachments is a Paint Shop extension. Please download the .gif format.
  22. 1. The attachment shows a partial snapshot of the layout plan of an apartment. 2. Under this example, you will notice that there is a major missing corner between NW and West sector. (Area highlighted in YELLOW) 3. A conCAVE mirror may be used in this case to "suck back wealth" as it is not practical to place a mirror inside the balcony wall area in this example. There is no need to use the ba gua WITH conCAVE mirror. As we just want to "cure" missing corners. The Ba gua is added more to prevent "evil spirits" from coming say into the home. Most people don't think it is necessary to use it. Thusa "pure" conCAVE mirror is the best option. 3.1 For example, it would look very odd to have a mirror at the balcony area (NW wall). And if there is heavy rain, it may tarnish the mirror's backing. 3.2 In addition, there is no way to place a mirror at the service balcony. As many Singapore families hang and dry their clothings, there. (Many people don't often have a dryer to dry clothings..as we get relatively good sunshine in most homes). 3.3.Under this example; only a few practitioners may recommend placing an "object" at the balcony. This is the Method 3; which I had mentioned inthe earlier message.
  23. 1. Under Traditional Feng Shui, there are three methods for a high rise. Some of these methods may not work because the condition may not be suitable to do so:- 1.1. Method 1: Installing mirrors (interior of the home)on the opposite wall of the shared wall with the SW. This may not work as the interior wall may not be "suitable" locations for such an installation. - Best to seek additional advise before installation. 1.2. Method 2: Attaching a specific conCAVE mirror at the SW sector wall facing outwards. 1.3. Method 3: Some Traditional Feng Shui practitioners advise one to place an object (inside the home) behind the SW sector e.g. based on the element of the SW sector to enhance it. However, this is a less popular method as not all practitioners give this advice.

Breadwinner and spouse both Kua 7 and their daughter is Kua 3. On thehome's flying starfor a P7 NE3 facing house, it shows wealth luck, but now that we are in P8 does this still hold true? 1. This is the most common "mistake" that everyone makes: 1.1. Let's draw a parallel with someone visiting the A & E at a Hospital. For example, this poor kid was hit by a car.. and could most likely have suffered in three areas: damage to his brain; could have suffered internal bleeding somewhere and broken bones. 1.2. But here, you are more concern with whether his clothes are torn or not? Hahaha... 1.3. You are just applying Flying Star which you may think is your "CURE all ills" for the Feng Shui of your home.. goodness. Do check out this link:- Reference: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 2. Even simple things like how your home drainage drains OUT of the home has far higher consequences than worrying about whether you got the Flying Star rite or wrong.. Unfortunately, may of us don't look at the bigger picture. 3. Go read up what I had written about the concept of "QUANTUM LEAP" in Feng Shui. Even if your home has a PERFECT flying star chart, cures , so what if your home does not enjoy good Macro Feng Shui. 4. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has a very high weightage. 5. For example, in the above example, if the kid had suffered internal injuries or non-stop bleeding.. fast reaction to this issue is more important, FIRST, than a broken bone. If brain damage.. this would equally be the first time. Again instead of concern for whether he had torn his expensive Levis jeans or he is now so dirty.. Which is more important? 6. Thus, without having a full picture, how to answer your question " Is this home still lucky for generating weatlh..." It is just like checking to see if your clothing is worn or dirty... You are just looking at the surface. Not good enough! Anonymous wrote: 2. Also as for the location for aquarium/pond--why isSE considered the best location despite bad stars in the natal chart? Women Kua 7 and Kua 7. For a P7, NE3, Sector with MS#3 WS#2 B#6; based alone on these three stars definitely, not good to have a water feature. However, some have read that for this year the prosperity star #8 is at this sector. And that is why, it is considered the best location (FOR this year only) to have a water feature. But if you have a pond, here, how are you gona place it on wheels and trolley it around your home? Get an exavator to cover up the pond before the next Chinese New Year? At least the aquarium, you can drain the water or place it on heavy duty wheels. Anonymous wrote: 3. What is the consequence of having a water pond in the West location of the yard? Your clarification would be much appreciated. 8. On paper, (academic) without looking at the other concepts, this sector has a water star #8. This is suppose to be the current water wealth location.
