  1. 1. For new unconstructed buildings, one may look at or consider whether it is feasible to "lock up" bad stars e.g. by building a store room at this area. 2. If it is a built up home or completed home, then commonsense prevails that it is damn ugly or silly to place e.g. a wind chime "smack" in the middle of the home. I know some Feng Shui practitioners do advise placing something like that. And these are the same practitioners that may tell the client " Don't ever use your master toilet" etc... 3. Many of us stay long term in a home. And a Geomancer only comes to our house often once in their life and for 1 or 2 hours. And to provide such advise i.e. never use the master toilet or place a wind chime at the centre of the home - there is something wrong, here. 4. In fact, usually the key areas where qi comes into the home, first is from "openings" like windows or doors. Firstly, a wind chime looks damn ugly and sometimes, with low ceilings, one may even uncomforably brush ourselves against it! 5. Some of the articles are as far back as 1998 or not later than 2003 and they refer more towards Period 7. We are now under Period 8. And as Flying Star is based on time factor, one remember that it may or may not apply to Period 8. And not take it at face value that all said, is applicable to both Period 6, 7 or 8 or even 9. Katrina L. wrote: Upon reading your free articles, I came across this description for the meaning of the center location in Flying Star feng shui: "Center direction - Generally this square is your Long Gone Prosperity area. This means that you no longer enjoy prosperity in this square. The stars in this location does not affect your existing location." My Q is: So the numbers located in the center of the grid doesn't mean anything? So when bad stars like #2 or #5 fly to the center, it doesn't do harm anymore?
  2. 1. You have already given the clue that you cannot change your bad work position? So how? Bang your head against the wall? 2. Under the Eight House concept, there is no other way to squeeze further luck if one cannot face one's good direction (full stop). Look at it this way, this concept or theory is like ebony or ivory: ON or OFF. And there is no middle of the road things like "neutralize it". 3. Thus, if you want to improve your luck then, you may have to look at other avenues or areas to improve your luck! 4. As I had mentioned in many forum messages: There are the Hol Trinity of Luck: Heaven, Earth and Man Luck. 5. Thus, if you want to improve your luck: then try to maximize luck in other areas such as Your Home Feng Shui or Human (man) relationships etc... Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear sir, I'm currently facing a bad work position which I will not be able to change. How can I neutralize it? Thank you for your advise.
  3. 1. Please note that what you had mentioned has more to do with Heaven Luck (born with) and ba zi. 2. Under the Holy Trinity of luck, there are three kinds of luck:- 2.1 Heaven Luck 2.2 Earth Luck 2.3 Human (Man) Luck. 3. Your questions, frankly, is not so simplistic as proper analysis goes right down to even the dd/mm/yy of both partners etc... 4. As mentioned above, there are three kinds of luck. And if one divides them equally, all three are 33.3 percent and x 3 = will equal to 99.9999 or 100 percent luck. 5. What you are thus so concerned of is only 33.3 percent of the total luck. And furthermore, the danger of apply Heaven Luck so "religiously" is akin to the concern of auto-suggestion and also self-fulfilling prophecy! 6. Frankly, some people, don't have good Heaven nor Earth luck; but they have very good family bonding etc.... 7. Please note that the ba zi binding element is again not so simplistic. If one is applying it to a home. As the birth chart of a home is often analysed using Flying Star Feng Shui and this is looked at first and then both partners binding elements are considered - to see if it can apply to the home. 8. Techically, both weak metal and weak wood are not compatible. Thus, are you going to "fix" this in your mind and whenever one quarrel, blame it on this "non-compatible" issues? Therefore, sometimes, we may really have to take it with a pinch of salt - as too much revealtion may do more harm to some people than good! While of course for others, can help to have a better understanding. 9. Majority of the time, Heaven Luck is quite limited in it's cures. That is why many would aim more for earth luck (Good Feng Shui) and also make the best of their Human (man) luck.
  4. 1. Frankly, it is difficult to follow all the descriptions you wrote, below. Quote: Does the building year change where one should place the rooms? 2. I am not sure what you mean by the above. If you are saying that you are relocating or changing place of sleep for family members, than a room is a room is a room. And it does not change the building year. Quote: Helena W. wrote: The house me and my husband purchased has a winding road hills and gentle sloped land however all the rooms are in the wrong spot.Main entrance directly north when you walk inside you end up in the kitchen...there is another entrance almost directly east however the paved road does not naturally lead to this door one could with a lot of work possibly offset the entrance to start in the NE corner but the classic thing about visitors guessing where to go. the only good thing about the house is the death corner SE is not built it's a void in the house square. Does the building year change where one should place the rooms? I can not help to think the previous owner lost the house to the bank and his business failed.
  5. 1. Please note that what you had mentioned has more to do with partial breakdown of your elements. Often, in career analysis, another important factor is the element and strength one is: for examaple, a person can be a strong water person or a weak water person or a strong wood person vs a weak wood person. 2. Furthermore, the industry one is in and the job scope (job function) one is in is also considered. Brayden S. wrote: Master Lee, from my elements i have very high water element and low fire element. what should i do to improve my career which is currently not going smoothly. currently working in a manufacturing sector.
  6. 1. Under the "Holy Trinity" of Luck:- 1.1. Heaven Luck (born with) and your ba zi. 1.2. Earth Luck (Feng Shui of home and office) 1.3. Human (Man) Luck - family luck, relationships etc.. 2. Typically what you had mentioned is your ba zi element i.e. Strong Metal person. Thus as a strong person, your best elements are Water and Fire elements. Whether how many elements that you may or how weak are they are from other reports. The free report shows your main element. 3. Under para 1, you will notice that there are three kinds of luck and you cannot squeeze more from that specific luck. Thus in general, the ba zi element is most commonly applied towards colours as well as whether a fish tank or water feature is more suited to the person. Other than, this, and if you have a full ba zi report or analysis done, then it does show an individuals luck periods and many more related to this issue. Otherwise, you have to depend more on other factors like your Earth luck and your Human or Man luck factors. Al P. wrote: I just found out that even though I am born in the year of the Earth Pig, I am Strong Metal. This web site does not tell me what the weak element is. But it says my good luck elements are Water and Fire, in that order. What is the meaning of "too much metal can destroy you"? And besides dress color, what else can I do to enhance water and fire? Any ideas out there. Thank you in advance and Aloha. Al PS, I visited Singapore long ago And loved it.
  7. 1. I believe you are referring to urns (ashes in urns) and not coffins stacked on top of each other. 2. In Asia, it is very common for our urns to be housed under several levels some as high as 10 or more levels, high.
  8. Some resources can be found, here:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ming.htm "The vast North China plains is on it's south side where the South Mount Dragon and Mount Tiger is said to be in harmony with each other." Sitting south side......
  9. 1. Frankly, it is difficult to comment on a just simple descriptions flat 1D (one dimension)perspective only. 2. However, these are major considerations:- 2.1. South facing slopes are preferred. 2.2. Ideal burial sites should be at a foothill (slope) south facing. 2.3. It should not be ground level but rather gentle undulating slop - as commonsense is that it may become water logged - thus inauspicious. 2.4. The best site MUST have a backing (or gentle slop) and thus must be backed by a hill. Thus the site should not be overlooking a slope. But rather, it should be sitting on a mild (gentle) slope. AND preferred facing SOUTH. Thus, North facing should be discounted especially if you are located at the northern hemisphere. East and West is usually not ideal because of the direct morning and afternoon sun (especially not good facing West - direct afternoon sun). Quote: Below ground burial Tortoise located on East, with milddownward slope, 2 small trees 200 meters away, small cemetery road 250 meters away, big mountain3 KM away Phoenix on West, with mildupward slope Dragon on South, mild downward slope, small cemetery road 50 meters away Tiger on North, mild upward slope, small tree 25 meters away 3. You can use the free report dates.geomancy.net or http://dates.geomancy.net to find a good date (especially use the birthday of the eldest son - to select a good date. Sorry this free report does not give a good timing. But best that burial be not later than 2.59pm (Yin timing). Best to hold the burial during Yang timing i.e. not later than 2.59pm will be OK. Phonetic sounding timing would normally end with .38 or .39 e.g. 9.38am or 9.39am or 11.38am or 11.39am etc...
  10. Question: My dad has just passed away. I don't want to wait 1 year or 3 years (depending on individual family practises), later to get married. What is the earliest date to get married? Answer: If you want to continue with a waiting period of less than 1 year, than the wedding has to held within 100 days of the passing. Once 100 days has past, you must wait at least 1 year or more which is usually the mourning period. The duration(ie 1 year or 3 years) of the passing of a parentdepends on the individual family or clantraditional practice. Some families insist that the marriage cannot be held within 3 years of the passing of a parent. While others feel 1 or 2 years is adequate. It all depends, here.

  12. Oh Boy! Do you really need a hair cut on this specific date? A cut of good luck This little boy doesn't look like he is enjoying getting his hair trimmed. But he is too young to understand that this aunty fussing over his hair in eastern Qingdao city is actually giving him a cut - for luck. Yesterday was the second day of the second month in the lunar calendar. Getting one's hair cut on this day is supposed to bring good luck. Source & Credit: The Straits Times, Singapore
  13. 1. In Chinese myths and symbolism, the turtle is not as prominent as the tortise. As the turtle is considered as a food item. Unlike the tortise which has relevance in stories like how the Luo Shu grid (Flying star 9 x 9 grid came about). 2. Overall, finding an animal can be "uplifiting" or feel good factor ... and more towards nice-feel 3. Based on general Feng Shui, generally is acceptable to have it placed at east or north. Quote: Anonymous wrote: I was just wondering if there is a meaning in finding a turtle or a turtle entering your home? A few years ago, i found a turtle at the north end of my home. and a couple days ago, i found another turtle entering my home from the east end (my back door). I live in those apartment communities so the area isnt near any turtle habitats. these turtles by the way are red ear sliders. So i was just curious if they have any special meaning? I keep them in teh back yard (east end) and thier tanks are located at the northend of the property. is that an okay place to keep them? thanks you for your time and help.
  14. 1. Ideally, in Feng Shui, it is best not to have blue-roof for buildings. 2. As a blue roof in the I-ching represents difficulties. Thus it is best not to have a blue roof i.e. nice-not-to have instead of must-not-have situation.

  18. 1. Please click this link for resources on the Ba Gua mirror and the different types of it:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Bagua_Mirror 2. Never place a ba gua mirror inside a home. It has to face outwards of a home. 3. The above link will show the differences between a concave, convex and a flat mirror type of ba gua. 4. Usually, ba gua mirror is placed at "openings" facing a poison arrow or threat (sharp corner of another building or a lamp post slicing towards the main door or a window). 5. The bagua mirror in the middle is either flat, concave or convex. There is no combination of flat mirror and convex mirror - none in the market. Unless you are referring to flat as in the outer-ring shows the eight trigrams and say a convex mirror. 6. In general, a flat mirror with the eight trigram design is meant to "scare away evil spirits". 7. The convex + eight trigrams on the ba gua is meant for both para 6 and to deflect poison arrow. 8. While the concave mirror is meant to "suck" wealth e.g. placed at a missing corner area. 9. No house place so many ba gua mirrors. Else we call this a mad-person's house. In Hokkien is "SIAO LAH!". (Mad - exclamation mark) Quote: Fengshui C. wrote: Hi, I'm just wondering how many bagua mirrors can I use for one house?Does this depend on how manny "poison arrows" point at our house or one is sufficient enough? Where do I put the bagua? above the main or directly point at the "poinson arrow"? for example, if I can see a "poinson arrow" from my window, should I put one convex bagua there? Should I use flat bagua + convex bagua together to make sure? Is there any different between flat one and convex one? I tried to look through the galery link about mirrors but seems like broken. 21. 1. Frankly, if it is a bedroom wall, this (on it's own) is considered as an actual mountain vs a situation where it is an opened window. 2. Thus, the only person that you will make them happy by tiling or rock/stoning the wall is the contractor that does it for you. Here, they would be most happy to accomodate your requests as this means making some money from you. 3. Drawing a parallel, just this Tuesday morning, when I visited an existing client, as she requested for an annual review, she bought some Feng Shui articles from some shop. And the shop told her that she must not reuse certain items as the shop wanted her to buy more of it from them! 4. Actually, a mountain by definition can be a wall. Or sometimes you get to hear things like, it is good that the mountain is located at the back of the home (whether there is a back door or not) is in-material. 5. A mountain can be activated by having a safe or even something as crude as brick or brick wrapped in e.g. silver or gold foil. Or even a smoothen rock (those found at the sea side beach). No need to be as elaborate as a "purple amertyst stone" mountain. 6. Ideally, for health considerations, it is best that bedroom walls are easy to clean. And some of those rock walls trap dust, dirt, mites etc.... And often unpainted makes the room dark and gloomy looking! You don't want to live in a cave rite?? Or turn a bedroom into a cave-man cave! Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, With my apartment facing NW2 and sitting SE2, the mountain star falls to the back of the apartment which happens to be my bedroom. To activate the mountain star, I am thinking of using Rock/Stone tiles on the wall where my bed's headboard located. Is this good? If this is not acceptable, then what else can I do to activate the mountain star? Thank you in advance Anon
  22. 1. As mentioned, previously there are TWO differing views:- 1.1. One view is that ONLY when EXISTING foundation is demolished and a new foundation come up can the site (building change qi). 1.2 The other view point is based on symbolism. And there are many different view-points as to what may constitute a change. Thus I am only stating or collating the various view points:- The views range from:- 1.2.1 Entire building refreshed with coat of paint (and refurbishment)and the whole house gets refreshed with a coat of paint. 1.2.2 For an apartment, one view point is that since the roof cannot be removed, the ceiling of the home could be given a coat of paint - and this symbolises the hope that the qi can change... 1.2.3 Others comment that major renovations need to be done and there are differing views as to what constitutes a major renovation. This range from changing major floor tiles and others include the need to change windows / main doors etc... And there are more of this. 2. It is not an exact science and depends on how convincing one's argument is to others and how others may or may not accept the argument. 3. As majority of our average life-span today is approximately 60 to 70 plus, many only see this "20 year" change twice in our lifes (as many don't start early as anyone below 20's is most likely less aware of Feng Shui. Since this happens mostly twice or the most thrice in our life, there are few experts in this field -- i.e. I believe no one has a doctorate in this area of Qi change "theory". So can be anyone's guess!
  23. It is SYMBOLIC of "GROWTH". The picture, in this link shows how this household did the procedure:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=22648&new= Isn't the tray with the green beans which turned into bean sprouts, lovely? Please note that these are vegetables. And usually can last a week. Thus, if the green beans does not sprout like in the picture: 1.1 Make sure that it is placed in a location where there is light. As light and water is needed for germination. 1.2 Even after three days, you can still add some water. 1.3 Once it grows until as lovely as the picture, time to throw it away! 1.4. As vegetables are unlike plants where they don't strive for too long! But goodness me, please don't cut it or remove it and fry Char Kway Teow (Hokien Fried Mee ) with it, please!!!

  25. 1. As far as Chinese beliefs are concerned, so long as this is not the bed that one conceived the baby, then it is fine or OK. 2. Thus, if conception is on this bed - even thou it is not the master bed, then, better play safe and not move it. 3. In addition, you should not be around to see the removal of this bed. 4. Also make sure to take note of this year's bad sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at North Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North-East Education/Romance Star this year is at South Grand Duke this year is North-North-East, 30 Degree. 5. In particular, AVOID renovating the specific bedroom if it falls at NORTH or North-NE this year! Simply removing the bed is fine. BUT avoid repainting work or any other work to the walls, windows or door in the two RED areas! Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, I am currently 5 months pregnant. I will like to move a queen size bed (not my own) and a huge wardrobelocated in a non-master bedroom, ie not inmy room. I will like to move this bed because I am preparing this room as the nursery room for the baby. Please advise if this is possible?
