  1. 1. Overall, under Period 8, the better neutral colour that you may consider is light cream or beige. 2. Under Period 7 (1984 to 2003), the best neutral colour was white. Today, 2008, the best neutral colour is as mentioned under Para 1.
  2. 1. If one purely consider the shape, then the first is a "longish" oval, may be considered as belonging to the metal element. As most rounded / oval shape is close to the metal element. 2. While it may be different if the shape still retains an oblong (rectangle) but the sharp 4 corners of a rectangle is slightly rounded. This shape should be considered as belonging to the earth element (squarish / rectangular) 3. If the material especially is made of glass, then glass is considered also as the metal element. 4. The star comes closer to the Fire element. The two rationales are: because the star has pointed edge (sharp and pointed). And symbolically, a real star gives out light = equated with light.
  3. 1. Frankly, as ba zi was never designed for any gay couple readings. So there is no ruleset or any reference that we can use to say for sure if you should follow the standard rule or make modifications. 2. However, as ba zi compatibilty can also be used to check for compatibility between two persons (not just male&female), such as for general compatibility issues between family members(sibling relationship of same or different genders) or between business partners etc. Since it can be used to check any two persons even of the same gender. We do not see a need to really make any changes to analysis for gay. Therefore,as for now, our personal views are thatitshould be reviewedas per normal without any alternations.
  4. 1. It is Ok to have a water feature at the water wealth position at NE2 sector. 2. It is recommended that the water feature has some of the characteristics found under this link:- http://fountain.geomancy.net (Please go thru para 2.1 to 2.12 under the above link) 3. Only under certain conditions that one may be concerned with the devil's gate is where certain sectors are afflicted by all YIN flying star numbers. And this is a "dark" room. That is why if one sees many of those "western" films, where many "happenings" are found in areas like a closet or a store room. These rooms are not only "dark" yin but often they are plagued by YIN flying star numbers. Joel T. wrote: Hi, my house facing SW2 in period 8, I am having a back door at NE2, since NE2 hasa good water star 8, but understandNE2 alsoa devil door , so shall i activate the water star by havinga water feature at NE2 section?Appreciates your reply.
  5. 1. Usually this is not a major concern unless the WC pipes are directly opposite (behind) the stove and vice-versa. Otherwise, there is no major concern or issue. 2. Under Traditional Feng Shui, some Feng Shui practitioners (symbolism) may advice placing a hulu (bottle gourd) e.g. inside the kitchen cabinet between the two walls. Anonymous wrote: Please help. My kitchen shares the same wall as the bathroom, and the stove shares the same wall back to back with the toilet. I know it's totally bad, and what can I do to minimize the damage? Thanks!!
  6. 1. In fact, to be honest, Geomancy.net even in Singapore is one of the few or the only one that is not selling commercial products. 2. Why sell commercial products? 2.1 Commercial products "in the name of Feng Shui" is highly marked up! Using commonsense, many find it more lucrative to sell such products! 2.2 To them, they don't care too-hoots where you get your hard-earned money from, but these people, don't have a conscience and like all "cheats"; simply wantus to depart with our hard earned money! 2.3 Imagine, profit margins are as high as even 500 to 1,000 percent! Unheard of! Yet, people are gullible to purchase them for the sake of .. "greed"! 2.4 Frankly, if I were to sell such products, one can make really tons of money! BUT, cannot stomach such an avenue! 2.5 In the past, if you read some messages, there were cases where the wife, call on so call "Feng Shui Masters" and these masters "cheat" them i.e. purchase tons of products.. And many of these housewives paid with their credit card! And later on... husband divorced the wife! Thus, Feng Shui or bad Feng Shui can even cause direct family separation, imagine! 3. Unfortunately, there are more people being "fooled" to purchase products everday vs our campaign of "If buying stops, the selling can!" This is indeed an uphill tasks! So, please spread the word! Don't let these people burn a "blackhole" in our pockets... P.S. Many Feng Shui practitioners, started off, doingFeng Shui. BUT, many found selling products more lucrative! And easy money! Thus the easy way out to earn money is selling products at Huge profits! Why work when, you can live off other people's fear and greed? "In-the-name of Feng Shui"! 8. Frankly, this is not necessary.
  9. This position of the sink is generally OK. As the most important consideration is the stove, first.

  11. 1. The origin of the FIXED TEMPLATE BAGUA model originated from this infamous person: Lin Yun. 2. You can read this article extract from this website about the Confessions of Lin Yun:- [ URL link no longer exists ] Appended by Cecil Lee in 2020: Apologies, Please understand that this article was written in 2009 = many years ago. 3. The fixed template Feng Shui is considered by many Traditional Feng Shui practitioners as too static a model. 4. This fixed template bagua - does not take into consideration both: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui. 5. Under the Compass School Feng Shui: there is the Eight House (East/West Group / Ba Cai). 6. Even if you are applying the Kua (Gua) you have to consider the full spectrum of the Compass School Feng Shui and not just Kua (Gua). 7. Now, you are trying to practice some kind of "half-cooked = half-baked" Feng Shui considering how to either try to combine Kua (Gua) with fixed template and scatching the head to see which to drop. 8. When applying Traditional Compass School Feng Shui, one should consider applying both the Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui and also Shapes and Forms. 9. Usually, as you had found out that the configuration of your room only permits certain (optimium) placement of things like table etc... thus Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, is usually the major consideration. 10. And things like Gua (Kua) is considered as NICE-TO have and not a MUST-have. But the fixed template bagua should be totally discounted, thou. Think of Lin Yun and his confession.
  12. 13. 1. In my opinion, it is best to treat it more as a decorative item, nothing more. 2. Commercial Products: When the buying stops, the selling can! 3. Imagine, even my logo for this special message has a version of the toad (this one is the three legged toad). What does this tell you? http://www.geomancy.net/say-no-products.gif 4. Frankly, it makes no difference whether one places it facing the door or throwing it away in the rubbish bin. It is not going to help in $$$ matters!
  14. 1. Yes, it is just an expression. 2. Fu Lu Shou is never meant to be "prayed-to". Symbolically, it should be placed facing where-ever one seats. Thus, if one sits at the living room, ideally, it should be facing "you". And it is very common to be placed on a table facing the dining table. 3. Best to place it at the Living Room. If it is placed at the dining room area, the table should preferably be (nice-to-have) 49 inches to not more than 50 inches tall (based on auspicious measurement - of the Feng Shui ruler). If the table holding the Fu Lu Shou is too low, it is like when we eat, these deities are salivating... all over... 4. Never place it facing the main door. You don't want the three of them to be "guarding your door" nor perform "guard duties" there..
  15. 1. Frankly, unless one is too free or nothing better else to do, then start to apply monthly or even there is such thing is daily, hourly Flying star! 2. We still hear of applying yearly Flying Star but monthly onwards is not common. 3. Yes, cure for 20 year may be moved to the yearl star position.
  16. 1. If you want to apply proper Feng Shui, it is strongly recommended that a detailed analysis be done. 2. Furthermore, some sectors may not be possible to be "cured". For instance if the toilet is there, it is there so no amount of "Feng Shui" may help in many instances unless the toilet is not there. So how, bang your head against the wall? 3. Thus it is always recommended to try to maximise luck from all other areas, instead.
  17. 1. You mentioned that you are a strong water person. 2. Reference report:- http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm 3. If you are considered as a strong water person, then your best elements (colours included) are:- 3.1 Wood, Fire and Earth. As wood element will help a strong water person draw out excessive water. Earth and Fire elements are equally favourable. 3.2 The above link will show what distinct shape each element belongs to and other characteristics of each element. Zhongqin Y. wrote: Dear Master Cecil Lee, very good answer Actually I wanted to emphasize the question on material and/or color for fengshui, since I do not understand quite well the online paid bazi premium report, which link/access Master Robert Lee sent to me. The items in previous example actually were not important at all. I am sorry that my questions and examples were not clear enough. OK I try to rephrase my question and the example: Should I consider my true element, favourable elementsandtheir color, if I want to remedy fengshui in living room, e.g. furniture? Example 1 (material): I have choice: furniture (not round shape) available made from wood and from metal/aluminium. Which one should I prefer? Example 2 (color): I have choice: furniture (not round shape) available in white, green and yellow. Which one should I prefer? Example 3: I have choice: wood furniture in white color and metal furniture in green color. Both are not round. Which one is less unfavourable for me? Thank you in advance for your advice. I wish you a nice weekend. Warm regards, ZQ 4. Generally, living room furniture usually are "small" items compared to the walls and things like curtains. (Never "play" with the ceiling colours like say painting it other than white, off-white or cream - as water in the I-ching represents difficulties and avoid painting the ceiling blue - of course it does not match a strong water person). 5. Thus the most effective in applying colours are to the above in the living room. And for bedrooms: walls, curtains and bed-sheets are the largest items. Can forget about the bed frames since they are considered minimal. 6. Certain colours can indirectly be also considered quite "neutral" so can be used as often as possible:- 6.1 The most "neutral" colours are wood or wood tone colours. But if one were to avoid WOOD element: wood element comprise GREEN colour, brown or wood tone, then best if need to avoid, avoid green colour. 6.2 RED is considered as the MOST YANG of all colours. And YELLOW is also associated with the earth. Under the four seasons, earth element is always on the rise in-between each season. Thus, if you chose BRIGHT RED or BRIGHT YELLOW, then, one has to seriously consider it's place or location vs the Flying Star chart of that sector of a home. For other colours e.g. brown, cream, beige, grey... no need to be so "religious" in terms of worrying which colour is best for the sofa(s). Since these are not the most Yang nor Yin colours. Furniture is bulky so shape should not be a main concern as with our "fat" bum majority of sofa sets are more rectangular rather than round. If the sofa has a frame, a frame such as stainless steel or wood is less of an importance.
  18. In my opinion, Yes you should consider it as South facing from the outline sketch provided. As it clearly looks like the main facing direction of your block is South.
  19. 1. The products that you had identified, pale in comparsion to what I would recommend, below. 2. This link shows a Very, very powerful product, that will blow anyone away! This is the ULTIMATE FENG SHUI PRODUCT! http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=23346&new= 3. Why is it so special? Unlike the products that you had intended to buy, the above link comes with added guarantee! You should check with your seller whether they sell the product that comes with a guarantee? If not, what is the use of buying that product, please! Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Lee, My true element according bazi report premium isStrong Water. 20. 1. Thank you for the sketch. 2. There are three attachments in this message:- 2.1. Your original layout plan 2.2 ILLUSTRATION 1 2.3 ILLUSTRATION 2 3. As your living room and the bedroom 1 has the most windows, or often called the "most yang qi areas of "opening", the facing direction often follows the entire BLOCK. 3.1 Thus under Illustration 1, if you look at it carefully, if although your unit is slanted but the majority of the block e.g. say forms a rectangle, then for such "slanted" living room / bedroom 1 layout, the facing direction is OFTEN taken in relation to the facing direction of the ENTIRE block. 3.2 Please see Illustration 2. Under this illustration, the same principle also applies as under Para 3.1. If your entire unit is "parallel" to the entire block, in general, the facing direction is again taken from the entire block! 4. Therefore, it depends on the "Top view" of a block of flat. If the block of flat is entirely a rectangular shaped, it is very obvious where is the faing and sitting directions. For others, have to further determine and evaluate the facing direction. Please see attachments.
  21. SOURCE & CREDIT: THE SINGAPORE STRAITS TIMES, 7 MARCH 2009 Cellphones of hospital staff riddled with bacterial: Study Tan Tock Seng Hospital has launched a campaign to promote hand hygiene among staff, patients and visitors so as to cut down on hospital-transmitted infections. ST PHOTO: NG SOR LUAN Attention: Disinfect hands before exiting What's wrong with borrowing a hosptial staff's handphone? PARIS: Cellphones belonging to hospital staff were found to be tainted with bacteria - including the drug-resistant MRSA superbug - and may be a source of hospital-acquired infections, according to a study released yesterday. Researchers from the Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey tested the phones and dominant hands of 200 doctors and nurses working in hospital operating rooms and intensive care units. Ninety-five per cent of the mobile phones were contaminated with at least one type of bacterium, with the potential to cause illnesses ranging from minor skin irritations to deadly diseases. Nearly 35 per cent carried two types of bacteria, and more than Il per cent carried three or more different species of bugs, the study found. Most worrying, one in eight of the handsets showed methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a virulent strain that has emerged as a major health threat in hospitals around the world. Only 10 per cent of staff regularly cleaned their cellphones, even if most followed hygiene guidelines for hand washing, the study noted. The researchers noted that more studies were needed to confirm their findings, which were based on a relatively small sampling. But they called for common-sense measures to help reduce the risk of contamination, especially frequent cleaning of cellphones with alcohol-based disinfectants or the use of anti-microbial materials. 22. 1. Under Compass School of Feng Shui:- 1.1. In many of my previous illustrations, the wall where the stove is; is the sitting direction and the opposite side is the facing direction. 1.2. NW - Fire at Heavens gate Avoid stove at this compass direction - IF POSSIBLE! 2. In general, Compass School Feng Shui is more concerned with the above. The above are ideal senarios where most likely if one wants to build an entire brand new home. For those who have an existing home, then the above are NICE-to have and cannot be a MUST-have. 3. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 3.1. Traditionally, the stove is always "lower" than the sink. Thus, in traditional Feng Shui the depth of the kitchen cabinet is 2 ft while the height up to the stove is 34 inches. And the sink is between 34.1 to not more than 35 inches. 3.2. However, as there are now more than 2,000 condominiums and many landed propertys included use 34 inches height of the kitchen cabinet - throughout the kitchen, para 3.1 is no longer an issue! 3.3. Commonsense approach to the placement of the stove vs sink:- 3.3.1 Attached toilet to the kitchen Many Singapore apartments have a toilet attached to the kitchen. Often, under commonsense, we don't like to have the door of the attached toilet facing areas like the stove. This is because, when we flush the toilet bowl, (worse if we place the toilet bowl flap closed, when we flush, high speed sprays gush out and splurts all over the toilet. And if we don't close the kitchen door, we don't want germs to fly towards the "cooking area". Thus, often, we don't like placing a fridge facing the toilet door also for such a reasons. 3.3.2 Under your Pic 1, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, this is by far the best arrangement (not withstanding the Compass Feng Shui). Here, under Pic 1, there is good egronomics where after cooking, one can just bring the hot e.g. wok and turn towards the sink. This is far better than having the stove facing the sink. Where the stove sits on a wall and the sink directly behind you (facing the sink). Here, if we have children, we must like at the pedestrian cross, turn your head to the left-then right and check to see no one is behind you. And bring the hot items to the sink! 3.3.3 Your Pic 2 4. Your Pic 2 also depends on COMMONSENSE! 4.1 This is because, of the such things a wind vortex. If next to the word Pic 2, there is a row of windows, and if do open the window, then, most likely sometimes the wind may form a vortex and even "push" the flame towards one's body! 4.2 That is why, it is so much safer to have a single wall and the stove there as shown in our pic 1! As often under Para 2, there sure may be one side as a wall and the other side as the window area. 4.3 It is more of this wind vortext issue that Pic 2 is not chosen. But of-course, if both sides are solid wall, then you may consider placing the stove at such a position = Pic 2. But another commonsense is that there is more area to clean the back of the stove and can be hard to reach unless one full flush this triange area! 4.4 There are many more taboos e.g. avoid placing a reflective glass behind the stove. As under symboism in Feng Shui, it may mean that the husband may be involved in extra marital affairs!
  23. 1. In my opinion, life is so short, and it is strongly recommended that all of us, spent a fruitful life than to worry unnecessarily. The more we worry unnecessarily, the more... our "Human / man " luck factors detoriate. 2. Furthermore, we do not want to end up with : the self-fullfilling prophecy or from auto-suggestion. 3. In general, for most people, (normal people) who have relatively no problems in their lives... should use this "Human or man luck" factor to one's advantage! Thus, will make one-self gloomy or affect family members with one's "prediction" or sensitivity of gloom!
  24. 1. Frankly, we live in a REAL WORLD. And not a world of make-belief. Nor do we live in an utopian society. Or that we can command nature to do what we want. 2. If we have already bought a home. We have to realistic! You can't change your house number, nor get the earthquake to shift your home to another good facing direction. 3. If you can do all these than fine! If cannot, what can you do? There is nothing one can do, here. Unless, of course, you started by taking note of the not so good house number etc.. and avoid it before purchase. After purchase, it is near ridicious to ask someone: "Hey! forget about staying in this house". 4. It is quite difficult to change to Period 8 as it entails more than what you had mentioned. Thus keeping it to Period 7 home is a blessing in disguise. 5. In fact, the more one worry unnecessarily, it will ultimately bring down one's human luck factors and can make situations worse off! 6. Many people, don't have fantastic Feng Shui but have good family unit - this is far better than any other gifts!
