  1. 1. The best method is to evaluate using Flying Star Feng Shui to assess favourable location(s) for the sceptic tank and water tank. 2. After applying the Flying Star Feng Shui; Shapes and Forms of the property in relation to the interior / exterior layout of the building should next be considered. This includes, where the piping of the sewerage lines will enter or flow into the home - avoiding passing thru below a bedroom etc........ 3. The "last" or not necessary must-have but rather, nice-to-have the sceptic tank at one's unfavourable - eight mansion's sector. 4. Where possible, drinking water tank should not be located so close to the sceptic tank in-case of contaminating it. 5. In addition, the location of sceptic tank should not interfere with the key drainage out of a home. In a professional Feng Shui assessment, even the way water flows from right to left or left to right of a home is critical for : wealth (becoming rich); wealth/ power (authroity or occupying high positions )etc....
  2. 1. Possible for a Block of flats. Here, especially the frontage of all units face a specific direction. 2. For a landed property, it depends: 2.1. If the neighbours are in-close proximity; say each is a small plot of land, your "south" frontage may be facing another plot's side-view. Here, if one is "unlucky", one may even get to face the toilets of the neighbour or even their backyard (some) with messy storage and hanging laundry. In addition, one will be in big-trouble, if the neigbhour's home roof is triangular shaped and have several of these "attacking" your "south" facing home. 2.2.Try to plot the Flying Star and take the opportunity to "activate" say the double #8'sby utitlising the space say for the living room etc... 2.3. If the south facing happens to be overseeing a wonderful view e.g. clear space oroverlooking a lake, (no obstruction); then by building the living room, patio etc... at this south side... can if done properly, be considered as a south facing home. 3. Usually, if the plot of land is sandwiched at the sides: south and north, then, there is a higher probability that the frontage may be "shifted" to west instead, especially if the back of the house has clear space and overlooking no current development. Should there be future development at thewest or back-side, then, it may change the situation. Quote: Can you build a south facing house for an east group personin an east facing lot? I hope this time you would be able to give some feedback or comments on this. Thank you very much.
  3. For such questions, it is good to make an effort to draw a simple sketch. Else, frankly, I don't really understand what u wrote.... Anonymous wrote: The house that we are purchasing has a stairs that face a window, next to the window is our front door. Should i be concern about this?
  4. 1. In my opinion, from the top view, it does not look as bad or does not seem to have any issue. Perhaps, the normal view may show some issue or concern which we may not be aware off. 2. Should there be a concern or issue(s); some of the standard cure(s) could be:- 2.1. Gates that perhaps have wooden planks on them such that the block the offending view from "hurting" the main door. 2.2. Tilting door. (Warning... this should be done by an FS expert). 3. Otherwise, a small road is "peanuts" as compared to major issues like a "T" junction etc.... Y S. wrote: Is that a fengshui problem of this house? The front door is facing a very small road in a community. How to solve it? Thanks.
  5. 1. In my opinion, scientifically, so long as the "disease" is not contagious - spread thru air, then frankly, there is no scientific basis other than what you had mentioned based more on a "taboo". 2. It makes more sense to say to that it would be most likely the concern that such impressions or a sudden situation e.g. someone having a heart problem or in some cases, some people "foam thru their" mouth prior to death. 3. Thus, we do not inadvertenly want to "scar" someone so young with such "a horrible" - painful situation endured by others. 4. stand by dentures all these are merely "old folk" theories, that's all. Anonymous wrote: I was told not to bring my young children near to old people who is critically ill due to the "qi". Can you advise what is the reason? Also I was ask to stand by their dentures. What is the reason? What other taboos for handling critically ill?
  6. This layout plan is typical of some of the layout plan(s) found especially at the HDB Fernvale @ Sengkang (constructed 2 to 3 years ago). 1. Usually to hide the washing machine / drier many use the L shaped sink / stove . Some built a low "partition" at the kitchen side to block the view to the kitchen. 2. The greatest "concern" would be the main door - kitchen "door". 3. The toilet at the "centre" is the least of the problem. 4. More importantly, the most crucial is hopefully your apartment has favourable Flying star "numbers" - superimposed on the layout plan.
  7. 1. Frankly, this requires effortandis not a FREE service. 2. 8. 1. Ideally, the toilet (if possible) should try not to be at the "center" of the home. Especially if it is the toilet bowl. However, the good news, is that frankly in Singapore, nearly 50 percent of all apartments does have the toilet "close to or in the centre" of the home. This is considered as a "leak". Majority of the time, a regular Feng Shui audit, can help to boost other areas and/or reduce the effect. 2. Main door to many Feng Shui practitioners is like the "mouth" of the home. Thus it is considered a crucial part. Imagine, a person opening his mouth and a "knife" or "fork" or "scissors" poking into it. There are two concepts, here:- 2.1 Commonsense approach If we open the main door and "greeted" by an "unsightly" kitchen especially if we can see the stove or knifes /forks hanging out to dry... 2.2 As mentioned under para 2, symbolically, if we open the main door and see a stove (lighted up) - here, it is like "getting" burned. 3. Again, I have seen many, many condo units that although the kitchen door is not facing the main door, but it is just on the side a few feet away from the main door. Same thing, from the main door or standing just inside the main door, it is adviseable not to hang any knives / scissors etc... (The commonsense is that if we do leave our door ajar, and if someone really rushes into the home, grab a knife... then... we may be in a "serious" trouble). 4. Are there any cures? 4.1 It depends! Under para 3, we may not be able to everyday, close the "kitchen" door either thru habit or "forced to do so". 4.2 It also depends on how suitable the apartment is to especially the male breadwinner:- 4.2.1 The most common approach is to use the Eight mansions (Eight House) or Ba Chia Feng Shui to see how suitable the house is... 4.2.2 Some Feng Shui practitioners discard 4.2.1 and use ba zi to check whether it fit's the person's ba zi element. For example, if one is a weak water person.. then a "south" facing may not be as suitable. 5. Majority of Feng Shui practitioners use either 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 but often not both to assess. 4.2.2. is considered a more "refined" concept - greater personalisation. 6. If Eight Mansions is used, then try to check what influence is in areas like the master bedroom, living room etc.. It is good that say if the person is a East group, and so happens the master bedroom is in the East compass direction. Here, the eight house qi is considered good for the person... 7. Flying star Feng Shui:- In many cases, it is a pity that although a certain sector has the double auspicious #8 but it may unfortunately fall in areas like the toilet, or kitchen area. Thus, in order to properly evaluate a home, all the above from para 1 to 7 should be looked at... Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Lee, im going to buy aflat soon but i have some doubts here whether to buy or not. I heard frm others n readfrm books that the main door cannot face the kitchen door and toliet cannot be in center of the house. Is it true or not? Unfortunalty that this house im going to get have this two problem. If i get this house, will there have any cures for this two problem aftera fengshui audit? Or would you advise not to buy? Im lucky to get to chose this house by balloting system, so i hope not to miss this unit.
  9. 1. The apartment number analysis in this website is based on Vertical Flying StarFeng Shui. As the name "vertical" suggests, qi varies from different level(s) or stories (floor). 2. Since yours is a landed property, there is no precedence under Feng Shui or Geomancy on whether a number is auspicious or not. 3. You may have to consider other numerology assessment for the house no.
  10. 1. In addition, like to share with everyone:- 1.1 As you had mentioned earlier, it is recommended that a staricase, has a turn or turns ie. with a landing. 1.2 If we look closely at the rationale, it is based more on how qi (chi) flows. Imagine if we have a straight staircase. And since the home is an enclosed space, a "weak" person or child or if our grip is not good or caught unaware, a huge "direct" gust of wind can throw a person off his/her feet when climing up or down the step. Thus, a staircase with a turn would be good as qi has to "slow" down reducing it's speed. 1.3 In additional, under commonsense, if someone really trips and fall, it may be very bad fall from upper continously towards the bottom of the staircase - if there is no landing to at least halt the "fall".
  11. 1. I am glad that you understand the concept. 2. In addition, unlike "external" steps, the internal staircase (with landing) is considered as one continous "flow". And qi travelling up or down the length of our interior home staircase is considered "continous". It does not because of a landing, "stop" but still continue to flow. 3. Anyway, as you have seen there is "no difference" when i counted the no. of steps on its own or continous in my previous illustration. They all add up to = Total 4 steps. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Thank you very much for your immediate response and clarification. Your explanation and illustration is very clear and easy to understand and I appreciate it so much. I now understand clearly specially when you mentioned that regardless the landing be long of short it forms part of the total number of steps. Therefore, it is in the total number of steps we see if it is auspicious or inauspicious. 4. Yes, your illustration seems correct = total of 22 steps. 4.1 In one of my illustration, if you can recall, I coloured the vertical sides in pink. In your example, I also manually, "counted" in my mind the "vertical" elevation and there are indeed 22 steps. 4.2 As I mentioned under Para 2, above, in an interior home, if qi (chi) were to flow up or down staircase, they would be a "continious flow" even if there are "landings". Qi will not halt at a landing and abruptly start again. Quote: Anonymous wrote: (Please see attached for illustration)With my illustration, can you please help me to understand the correct placement and usage of a landing? Which of the illustration is correct? In this way I would clearly understand on where to locate the landing whenever I would place a landing along the total number of steps or staircase. Also please clarify if both are correct and the landing's location has no effect to where it would be located as long as the total number of steps is auspicious.
  12. Please refer to my earlier forum message. Chinese astrology should be taken on the "lighter sight" and not in the serious grain. For example, that is why, we named our Chinese Astrology with a "fun" url : Lovesigns.net How often do you see any "serious" conversations or messages even in this forum on the talk of "those born on 1953 or 1965 da... da.. da ... da ... da.... So let's try to leave it that way...
  13. 1. In my opinion, it is at least good to hear that you are "starting" a "new" life. 2. However, whenever possible, I do hope that you do not take too much of the Chinese zodiac signs "too seriously". As I feel that too much reference, digestion of e.g. the characteristics of say a dragon, snake etc.. will make us -to-have auto-suggestion. 3. Frankly, one can never tell that the next "snake" one meets will truly be a "snake!" Maybe there is too much coincidence in your past experience in dealing with people. And broadly, any one of us can fit into easily into any of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. 4. Even in modern Singapore, many people meet each other, be it couples, business partners.. nowadays, I don't see many approaching a Chinese astrologer to check their "pairing". 5. For example, nowadays, I don't seem to hear anyone's first introduction :" Can I know what "animal (Chinese zodiac) sign are you? " 6. We must be aware of the danger of "auto-suggestion" and "self-fullfilling prophecy! For example, if say I am a "rat" and if I keep on reading all the good and bad points of a "rat"; I may unwittingly act the part of a "rat"! Quote: I am now isolated with no family or friends. so I am starting again with no money. How do i improve this situation, how do i find people born in the year of the snake as i am told this sign will gel with myself and my daughter who is a dragon.
  14. In the attachedillustration, please note the following:- 1. Floor. The floor is usually the "ground" where we first start to step-onto a stair-case. (It can also be known as the next storey or level or even be a landing.) 2. Landing. This is where a staircase usually turns and the landing is between the upper and lower staircase. 3. Under the attached Example A: Shows a continous count of steps inclusive of the landing. = Total of 4 steps. 4. Under theattachment Example B:it shows the segregation of steps: from floor 1, 2 to the landing. And from the upper landing to another level = 1, 2 steps. Total = 4 steps. Here, even if we "recount" the number of steps i.e. 1, 2 and upper 1, 2 there is still considered as 4 steps. 5. The rationale is that whether the landing is long or short, the example shows that from : Floor (not counted) to step 1 to landing = 2 steps in total. And from the landing, (not counted) with 1 step and 2nd step onto the level should be counted. 6. Another possible way of counting can be based on my second attachment. insteading of counting based on "TOP View perspective"; try to count no. of "Vertical pieces" or levels as shown in my second attachment Example B: where I highlighted all "vertical" levels in PINK.
  15. 1. Authentic Chinese name selection is different from what you are doing. 2. What you are simply doing is just to check whether perhaps a name is auspicious especially also under numerlogy. 3. Authentic Chinese name selection goes like this:- 3.1 Child is born. Furnish Date and Time of birth to a geomancer. 3.2 Geomancer calculate child's ba zi. And recommend name(s). Your "method" does not come anywhere close to this. Thus Chinese method is wait for ACTUAL birth of child, then......
  16. 1. I have just replied the last forum message, where I have included a link to the auspicious dates and what is the optimium people. 2. Try to make effort to do a search in this forum for initial opening and movein procedure, please.
  17. 1. Even if one needs to be "surrounded by" metal, there must be an acceptable level. Usually, if you had engaged an FS practitioner, then check with them. 2. If you are D.I.Y. then be equally reasonable. 3. Metal includes: e.g. circle or oval shape. And glass.
  18. 1. Please note that aupicious dates are FREE for the next 30days at url: dates.geomancy.net 2. Usually not more than TWO persons dates are looked at. Else ofthen more than TWO difficult as it is to find dates that match even TWO persons. 3. Usuaaly the most senior comes first. 4. With some imagination you MAY check out the rests dates by individually or two at the time.
  19. Let me share with everyone ... 1. My original forum was a third party forum started around 1996. We (Geomancy.net) started our very own forum two years later. This is where we have maintained every single message since then. 2. During that time, there were few Traditional Feng Shui websites and many "Fung Shoey" websites catering to the Fixed Template Fung Shoey appeared nearly every day! 3. For example, if one checks back quite alot of forum messages, it has to do with discussion on Traditional Feng Shui vs Black Hat Sect (Lin Yun) and Fixed Template Feng Shui. 4. In the past, there were few resources dedicated to Traditional Feng Shui. And many western Feng Shui sites, tempted people to use the so easy to apply " Fixed template Fung Shoey". 5. In the past, I mentioned any Tom, Dick or Harry with some imagination and a flair for writing or web design can easily create a site or book on this topic. 6. Thank GOD! Nowadays, lesser and lesser people are taken in by such "fixed template" Fung Shoey! It is GOOD NEWS! Morale of the story 1: " Scrap fixed template Fung Shoey" Morale of the story 2: "Never too late to pick up authentic Feng Shui"
  20. 1. In my opinion, try to avoid sites that has only one objective: Sell, sell and sell.... 2. For example, many people have bad experience with some "Feng Shui" masters. 2.1 Sometime many years back, there was some information that a wife got divorced in the US, because she had too much roll over credit card debts thanks to a Feng Shui master that went to her home to do Feng Shui and sold her many commercial products! 2.2 Commercial products are easily produced and sold at very high margins! And some Feng Shui practitioners will always "invade" a home, and tell the "victim"; you have to purchase this painting. The victim:" Where do I purchase it from" The Feng Shui (CON) man: " Come to my shop ". He charges a bomb on this "useless" painting. 3. Thus, try to be cautious of anyone selling commercial products! This is a good start!
  21. 1. Unfortunately, since no two situation is the same: 1.1 for a Feng Shui practitioner; for a bedroom, we often try to visualisemore importantly where the bed will be located. In many instances, even if the bedroom is located withintwo or more sectors, usually we would find that the bed-head and if we lie down on the bed, where is the majority of our body lies. If so, this sector should be one way of checking to see if there are no bad sectors or if so, some cure need to be placed. 1.2 Following from 1.1. Rather than firstly get confused whether this sector lies in North or NW, we should take a look at the Flying star numbers for both North and NW. 1.2.1 In some situations, North may have #5 and #2. While say NW may not have this #5 or #2. If so, to play safe, if part of the sector has such nasty #5 (misfortune/sickness) star(s), even if NW does not have, we should then chart out on the cautious side that this BEDROOM should avoid: e.g. BRIGHT YELLOW colours which may accidentally inflame #5 or #2. 1.3 In addition, we may review further (by visualising) how qi would be "flowing" into this bedroom. For example, if the entire row of windows is closer to the NW sector and North is primarly within or closer to a corner (such as the wardrope) area; then, by virtue that there is higher probability that qi coming into the room should be coming from NW sector. And in this senario, we may consider NW as having a higher influence vs North (where qi may not be so active). 1.4 Thus, as we try to understand where the mouth of the house, we should try to look at or imagine how qi would normally flow in or from -- especially more prevalent thru windows or door(s). 2. Feng Shui as we have reviewed as I have revealed, honestly speaking is not an EXACT science! Most of the time, the higher success factor is to either visualise and apply logic and commitment in trying our best to look at all ways / methods towards a better assessment. Thus there is no such thing as only one way or method! 3. Another concept borrowed from SONY corporation: which many years ago, has this slogan " Research makes the difference". 4. In Singapore, a respected jeweller has this slogan " Tradition of excellence ". Simply we should not compromise - but have a passion in what we do.
  22. 1. In the past, I mentioned another way of looking at concepts or even homes that "we have or had alreadypurchased" or lived-in. 2. The clue is "the rich gets richer... and the poor...hmm". 3. This is two examples: The rich gets richer because they can afford the best homes with "quantum leap" in Feng Shui. Homes that they purposely bought that is "aimed" to bring them luck - sometimes on their own or with the help of good Feng Shui practitioners". Money Talks! 4. For many common folks, how we match these rich people? 4.1 Imagine, if one's home Feng Shui is compared to a "10 year old 1,000 cc car". Tell me, can a Feng Shui practitioner or even "GOD" make your home the equivalent of a new Porche or even a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow? Yes / No? 4.2 In another example: if we are driving a small 1,000cc car and have a family of 7. Tell me, how are you going to squeeze all your family into a car equivalent of a 4 to 4 seater? Tie your wife to the roof? Lock your son in the booth? If you need to transport 7 persons, for heaven's sake, get a 7 seater MPV! (Fullstop!) Some of think it can be done. That our "run down" car can perform like the new porche! 4.3 The second silly mistake many people make is: Instead of fixing the leak(s), first: (leak = wealth, health, harmony); we assume that we should instead invest in purchasing, products that only line the pocket of the seller. Frankly, with such thinking... try to guess the outcome...
  23. Apologies, if this message uses "strong words"... it is not directed at anyone. But.. just to emphasise that we should not expect more than what .. something cannot give us.. back... 1. Thanks, I have re-edited and removed the corrupted message. As I was on the road and posted it via 3G broadband connection. 2. In my earliest forum messages (as far back as 1998 onwards) I actually mentioned: 2.1 Clearly try to understand what each concept is about: What is it's aim. 2.2 Know it's strengths and weakness 3. For example, for the 8 Mansions: the idea is that it helps to identify how suitable a home is to a persons. And between say sleeping facing a good direction, for example, first choice is to see if we can sleep in a good sector or direction and nice-to have bed head facing a good direction. 4. Now you are asking the question: Based on this concept, can we do something to improve! 5. Please look at what I mentioned under Para 2 to 3. Is it possible to do so under the 8 Mansions? Yes or no? 6. Yes, if you can get the earthquake to tilt your home or change all the compass directions. "Silly" and not possible rite? Who in the world can tilt a building with fixed foundation? 7. Here, the clue is that you cannot do more than what the theory or concept can give? How can one try to squeeze more from this theory? 8. Please check out other concepts: Flying Star has its use and with it we can try to neutralise sha qi or improve qi - if that sector of the bedroom is no good under 8 M for a person. And we can use Ba zito harmonise the room. For example, if the person is a Strong Water person, and if the sector can accept Metal colours all the better. Thus, please don't ask me again how this theory can provide answers or help improve your life! Fine if you are looking for a new home and manage to construct entirely new home. Otherwise "go to a con-man" to seek comfort! Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Lee, Is there some problem with your msg cos it is all jumbled up? Understand that this is a very common/hot topic being discussed that is always confused the beginners like me and often the proposed solution is to spend less time in that direction/sector. My confusion is whether we should enhance the element of that direction or we should introduce counter-element to the element of that direction. Thank again for the advice.
  24. 1. Yes, your assessment seems very logical and "difficult" to fault. And from our best knowledge, the picture window fits the idea of what we would "majority" of the time see where most of the qi may come-in. 2. In the past, for a person to apply Feng Shui is so... simplictic. Especially in China e.g. in Beijing majority of the homes face a certain direction. 3. It is not possible to create a "perfect" model. If we really want to create a perfect model, we have to understand the "hi and low" pressure zones (for those who had studied geography). For those living close to the sea, in the day time, the land form is "warm" and winds may blow from sea to land and vice-versa. 4. Take another example: Occupations and ba zi. For example, most of us would consider say : Marketing or sales as the "Fire element". But the clue here is that "majority" of the time, the key job function is sales. Thus, we can say that most of the time, the person performing sales is a marketing or the fire element. But, it is not surprising to find a sales-person teaching clients how to use a machine etc... Teaching others relates to the wood element. And in all jobs, there is some element of each element in a job: Metal (driving) etc.. 5. Like you are trying to do is to DETERMINE the MAJORITY of the time, you feel that qi would "enter" the home MOST of the time i.e. this is what you feel is the "mouth" of the home. In fact, if we are aware that this is indeed the area where qi comes in; we may even "tailor-made" or "TAP" qi to our benefit. 6. So long as we are honest; and feel that we have a valid argument, then go for it! And hope for the best! This is much like "many Kung Fu film stories" we see on the TV: For example, the Kung Fu show: starts off with a novice Kung Fu learner. He gets bullied. And even some badly beaten. And some-how he manages to get to learn real Kung Fu from one or even many masters. And even learn Kung Fu after fighting with the "enemy". He then even learn to try to counteract his enemy's style(s). So long as we continously understand or try to understand and learn as "many styles" as possible, we can then try our best to adopt the best practises. We cannot always say that : our method is "superior" or the best! In the past, I did mentioned that many GREAT Feng Shui masters, learn not just one method but try their best to understand as much methods as they can. Anonymous wrote: Both my door and my living window open everyday. Due to the extent of my picture window (that occupies almost one of the walls of the living room and extends from the floor to the ceiling), my living room recieved most of the lights from it. Due to the design of my building (i.e. like C-shape), my door actually is facing "inwards" i.e. is blocked by a wall and it is like under a shade from the sun. However, on certain months of the year, sunshine does come into my house from the main door during the evening time. Based on this situation, is it more obvious that i should take the picture window as my basis for the house's FD?
  25. 1. As your unit's facing and the one parallel to yours overlooking or facing SE seems to be an appropriate choice to be considered as the facing direction (in particular for your unit) in the very unique block design. For other units within your block, would have to be further investigated i.e. the interior layout in relation to where the main door vs living room etc... 2. The NW main door facing seems enclosed while the SE overlooks a "clear space".
