Understand that not everything is Feng Shui.

These are some considerations: 1. Many new homes in Singapore: HDB / ECs and condos use dry wall. 1.1. And the dry walls are often : one side is say the master bedroom TV wall. And on the other side is a bedroom / bed-head. 1.2. Many TVs still have EMF radiation. For example, at certain locations of the TV (depending on the model) if I were to use an EMF meter.. often the readings are relatively high. 1.3. Many TVs today are mounted on a wall. And for dry walls, even if the contractor mounts it, they mount it on a piece of plywood. Here, unlike a concrete wall, hopefully the EMF does not penetrate to the other side (a bed-head). 1.4. Thus if a bigger TV means more surface area; to circumvent this, do mount the TV or the edge is higher than a bed-head. 1.5. However, in some instances some clients do use use bunk beds. Thus the bigger the TV, may mean that not possible to mount too low or too high that it is at the same level(s) of the bed-heads on the other side. 2. Under the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system... 2.1. We are on this earth for 80 years or more of our life.. and really no issue with having a TV set in the privacy of one's bedroom. For some, the bigger the better. (Other than concern as mentioned under above Para 1... ) 3. Stigma of sleeping with a "mirror" facing the bed? 3.1. In the past and even today, some were told to cover the screen with a cloth. For fear of the reflection of the screen of a TV set. (Long time ago... the culprit was a Plasma TV screen which is highly reflective). 3.2. The tale goes like this: some say that when one sleeps, the person's spirit suddenly sees a mirror image of itself and gets a rude shock! 3.3. The argument also be opposite this. For example, the husband's spirit wakes up and sees the mirror... combs the hair and then "fly" off to meet .... 4. It is like some can eat chili padi while others are sensitive to it. 5. Coming back to this tale: Some felt that the bigger the screen... and if the unlikely notion that the screen is reflective... need a large cloth to cover the screen.. for those who have a fear of reflective material as mentioned under Para 3.2. above. 6. Common sense: 6.1. Common sense says that every period, there is optimum size of a certain TV screen and its price or the value for money. 55" is today... pretty value for money and about the right size for a bedroom .. HDB/ EC or standard condo unit. 7. Thus really go ahead ... if one wants to. This has more to do with Human/Man luck and not so much of Feng Shui. 8. It becomes a "Feng Shui" problem if for example, the next door family member gets zapped with EMF radiation... ...

Where the architect has no choice but to fit a home in - for the developer? 2. Even if one is just wanting to learn a bit more about such homes; (majority of the time) common sense says that these homes should be a last resort. 2.1. If one can afford to buy a terrace house... these homes are also not necessarily cheaper than an ordinary one. Therefore if possible try to look elsewhere... 3. One thing is the irregular plot. What is more important is that of Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and the FLOW OF QI. 3.1. [Above] Simply, wind flow of wind when it encounters such a odd plot will affect the health and wealth of the family members staying there. 3.2. Thus depending on wind conditions, roughly too strong a flow/uneven flow/bottle-necks (Red zone) can affect 3.1. More of this as the main consideration. While irregular plot is but a sub-set of this issue. 4. Furthermore, in Singapore, terrace homes or rather landed properties especially terrace homes (other than corner units) are small. The smaller and tightly packed demands to look closely into the Shapes and Forms the site, the plot etc... 5. Okay, okay. I get it. You just wanted to understand more....that's all. LOL

Traffic movement in a Right-Hand drive country like Singapore (part of the British Commonwealth):- Yes, the house No. 185 Springside Avenue is considered in-front of a T-junction: 1. Even if Springside Crescent heading towards Springside Avenue is a curve, imagine a run-away vehicle be it a car, truck etc.. follows the red path, (touch-wood) could plough towards the front wall of 185 Springside Avenue. 2. How about if this is in the US, China or Korea? (Left-hand drive) 2.1. If the drive is on a Left-hand drive country, it could be much worse. If so, the "impact" is at the main gate area. Given that an impact at the main gate (with mesh opening) is more vulnerable than slamming into a solid brick-wall. 3. Either way, (unfortunately) no running away that this house is truly at a T-junction. A consolation is that it is far better that we are in a Right-hand drive country for this house! 4. Too bad, this saying still applies: "A miss is as good as a mile!". Too-bad!

Question: For dinner table is it ok the get one that is extendable? Reply: Another is based on common sense. If the table has a split line, often food debris get trapped... if not cleaned, unhygenic.. As a single no split or "crack-line" table does not have this issue totally. Reply: The idea of the 7th month is that if the house is empty ... some entity (or entities) may want to "live" there. Thus if the house is immediately vacant in the 7th month, again the idea is that these wondering ghosts may just drop by during 7th month. Thus, if they already "own" the house ... and if one were to start renovations.. when they are around... this is really bad. Alternatively, if by chance the day the tenants move-out; and the next day you take over.. can start renovations... Client: Okok but do I still to perform the customs of move in and renovation? Client: If yes I have to follow an auspicious date provided by u? Reply: Frankly, first time take over is 1st time open door procedure. Should not...do so during 7th month. Just do a symbolic start of renovations.. if the vacant home is just a day or two away from key collection. Yes, nice to choose an auspicious date - but if it is too far off from the start of renovations, then skip it More important is the move-in procedure.. These are some considerations: 1. In general, in my opinion, it is still more beneficial to have more openings (such as those found at markings in red "A" and "B". Especially "B". (As legs should not face a window opening). But it can easily be redressed with a blind or drawn-down day curtains. 2. Thus in my opinion, the current bedroom is preferred. 3. If you want, you can still do the renovations as shown. 4. It is difficult to be more precise given that usually we normally plot the Flying Star numbers and look at it further:-

1. Frankly based on common sense, corners often has stagnant qi. 2. Your proposed layout is acceptable. No worries about the side-wall beam. As no matter how one sleeps, the is no possible way that your head will be below the beam: 2.1 By the time one place a bed-frame, the pillow case, the head is a distance from the beam. 2.2. Unless one claims that he/she sleeps this way:- Possible or not? Who does this? LOL
