Case Study 3: Should I be concerned if the front door has a view of the two common bins? 1. Generally, it is good that the planners of this development sandwich majority of the two common bins between the two emergency exit staircase/stairwell. 2. However, unfortunately not so for Stacks #971 and #973. 3. As what separates both the common bin lobby and the two open air common bins (common and recycle) can be seen from the front doors of both these stacks/units:- 4. The red dots shown above are usually the half-height safety railings and often not a solid wall to allow ventilation of the common bin lobby. Well this is often what was seen in previous developments. Well hopefully the HDB has changed this.. But in my opinion be safe the sorry. 5. For example Block 374B shows the block's common bin lobby sandwiched between two emergency exit stairwell = GOOD! 6. Oh Dear! Not fair! Block 373A Stacks 953 and 955 also share the same concern:- 7. This is a NO, NO! If one encounters someone who only "SWEARS" by the Front Door. And even more so, if one hires a Feng Shui Master who only EATS, SLEEP, EAT and SLEEP only on the front door. Case Study 2: Should I be concerned if the emergency staircase exit door can be seen from my front door? 1. By law all emergency exit staircase door(s) must be closed at all time to prevent smoke from say a burning unit filtering into the staircase and hampering exit from these stairwell. 2. Anyway, if one looks closely at this illustration: Even if at the front door of Unit 1059 can see into the staircase well, the only thing one can really see is the actual staircase door. It should usually be sufficient to avoid your concern:- 3. Some potential buyers even consider doing a proper triage with things like: 3.1. How will my luck be till last year 2020. Case Study 2: Potential sharp corner of the MSCP building corner (up to 7th storeys) aimed towards Stack 628. I can also see the ESS with a sharp corner aimed towards 594. Fortunately it and the sharp corner of the MSCP does not seem to be a threat at all, here.

Case Study 9A: Stack 352 front door are can have a view of one of the common bins 1. In my opinion more to do with a situation where unit has met Minimum Occupation Period (M.O.P.) . 2. And a potential buyer and or buyer's Feng Shui Master made it be known (a stigma) that it is inauspicious to have (somehow) the front door with a view of the common bin lobby / bin (if any). 3. Thus even if one might be okay with it. The "other" guy or gay may not like it. And some even give "low-ball" offers (if any). Case Study 9B: Any issue if the front door (Stack 354) faces the two lift lobbies? 4. Again, if one has a habit of leaving the front door open, this is subject more to privacy, then Feng Shui. P.S. Please note that this is a sampling. And there can be more stacks facing either of these two situations.
