In this older HDB Jurong East Estate, no takers for this: 1. For E Scooters 2. For regular bikes 3. No takers at all:- Instructions: While on the same Block, on the opposite wall... -
Case Study : Guidelines for transforming a bedroom into a study space with glass partitions. 1. No, this is not related to Feng Shui. It is actually grounded in practical reasoning. 1.2 Nevertheless, when considering Symbolism in Feng Shui, it is worth exploring the reasons behind the preference for multiple pieces of glass over a single one. The alignment of two glass pieces could be a significant factor to consider. 2. If feasible, it is recommended to steer clear of a glass wall that extends from the floor to the ceiling. 3. Consider implementing a wall that is half the height. Ideally, the wall should measure 42" from the floor to the top, with the lowest point being 32". 4. Glass walls often encompass the entire room, which may pose challenges for your Interior Designer and/or contractor in providing a single piece of glass. 5. Have you noticed the presence of an "X" in the illustration? 6. It is important to note that when observing the study room from this vantage point, the joint-lines of the glass panels should not divide the person's view in half. 7. For HDB 5 Bedroom units, some individuals are contemplating the addition of a study area in the living room. In many cases, the sofa is positioned against the back of this wall. 7.1. In such scenarios, it is advisable to avoid placing the "X" or split line directly in the middle of the sofa. Symbolically, this can create a division within the living space. Consider exploring the use of irregular glass pieces as a potential solution.

Case Study: The demographic of individuals who choose to install glass walls in their study typically consists of young males who are first-time homeowners and are generally under the age of 30. It is my belief that typically, the individuals who are attracted to these rooms are usually young adults in their early to late twenties and are often first-time homeowners without children. Rarely do individuals in their mid-30s and older opt for these "aquarium" style rooms. When observing these rooms from the outside, it is undeniable that they resemble an aquarium.

Case Study: I used to have a lovely study room. With full height glass walls. 1. The beautiful study room used to be visible from the living room, serving as a prestigious addition to the home, suitable for the CEO or CFO of the family. The view of the study room can be seen upon entering the living room. 1.1. Unfortunately, it was later converted back into a bedroom due to the family's expansion over the years. However, the rooms have remained unchanged. 2. Unfortunately, it was transformed back into a bedroom due to the family's expansion over the years. However, the layout of the rooms has remained unchanged. 3. Please consider the long-term implications before installing full glass panels in any room. 4. Specifically, it was changed back from a study to a bedroom once again. 5. I always advise my clients that even if they desire glass walls, it's often better to opt for half-walls instead of full walls. 6.. The rationale behind this is straightforward and rooted in common sense. 7. Casual Conversation: Child (in the bedroom that was previously a study): "Mommy, I don't want to sleep in this room!" Toddler (occupying the study reconverted back into a bedroom): " Mama.. I can't sleep in this bedroom!" Mama: "What's wrong darling?" Toddler: "The lights from the dining & living room is glaring" Mama shouted: "PAPA! Go FIX-IT"... No wonder, today, there is a make-shift curtain ... as seen today...

1990’s HDB flats. Those stacks with the metallic louvres face afternoon sun. In this photo, stacks/units on the left face morning sun. Thus one do not see any of the metallic sunshades as found in units on the right. It was late afternoon and one can confirm the afternoon sun shining at the afternoon sun units on the right:- This 30 years old block of flats (see below) at Simei also has sun-shades. But less obvious because they are made entire of RC material as shown, here:- This is how the whole block looks: These flats are close to the Changi Simei Community Club:

These are some considerations: 1. In theory, the technique or direction is: standing inside the main door looking out. Note: He is standing inside the main door looking outwards 2. One can still stand e.g.. somewhere in the house but equally facing in the same direction of the main door. 2.1. Please refer to this sample layout plan: 2.1 One should be standing inside the main door at "A" looking out towards B. For example, if the reading is = 200 degrees. 2.2 Then logically if one stands at the other two areas: one at the middle of the the living room looking towads B. Won't it also the same or = 200 degrees? etc.. 2.3 Most compasses are sensitive to embedded reinforced metal rods that taking a reading so close to one side of the wall may skew the compass readings.. etc.. This is not covered in this discussion. 3. However, if you have the time, do click this link to have an in-depth understanding of the Frontage of a home. Here, the frontage may or may not automatically mean the main door:-

Case Study 7 - Inauspicious for the stove to directly share the same wall as the WC (Type C3a C3a Pes / D1 & D1 Pes) Another random sample: D1 and D1 Pes.. same situation... While for Penthouse Type PHC3a.. not perfect.. but better than the above examples: For PHC3a, although the stove shares the same wall as the Toilet, a consolation is that it does not share the same wall as the WC or sink.. better than nothing...

This has nothing to do with Feng Shui. Condo/EC/Privatised HUDC 2nd enbloc in the near future... 1. Can I also in the future be 2nd time LUCKY as the 1st enbloc owners who otherwise if sold indivually will not get a windfall as via enbloc? 2. Please wake-up lah! Not even built-yet. Still long long time to go...

Case Study 6 - For now, one can only rely on the Sales Brochure Floor Plan site-map to determine the compass directions. At present, streetmaps like streetdirectory dot com under A: shows the existing enbloc block arrangements. While B is the new Mayfair Residences. Using roughly the "eye-ball" method, the two almost lined-up. But the site borders are slightly different, here. Maybe because of the TOP up lease?

The Holy Trinity of Luck:- ONE: Ba Zi is about Destiny and Heaven Luck. TWO Feng Shui is about the Feng Shui of the home and work premises. THREE: Another category is Human or Man Luck:- "I can't bear to EAT her. BUT I can follow humanoids and DIVORCE her". "But my religion does not allow for DIVORCE". "Well I ain't a humanoid.. to solve my problem.. I WILL JUST EAT HER UP.. YUMMY!"
