  1. Yellow arrow showing that there is no usual side skirting tiles ..Instead it is just a groved channel, here:- Frameless side skirting.. According to the main contractor.. this frameless no side skirting is a pain in the neck to get it right vs installing side-skirtings
  2. Highway noise. Location : common corridor of block 14 IMG_7767.MOV
  3. Pneumatic waste system at The Venue In my opinion, this system may highly restrictive and in the Long run pretty costly.. This is because, there are so many restrictions in the use of it. Especially, the criteria is that of light weight waste.. anything even cardboards and waste that is heavy may seem to imply choking the system.. Singapore may not be ready for this .. especially in a residential complex
  4. Frankly, contrary to popular western beliefs, mirrors are not everyday household items in most Chinese homes. You can do a search in this forum for ba gua or Pakua mirrors. Generally, mirrors are:- 1. Convex mirror is to deflect poison arrows such as a main door facing a poison arrow such as a sharp corner of another building etc.. For example a lamp post aimed towards the main door or a tree trunk slicing towards the main door. 2. Concave mirror is often used to "suck wealth". 3. Flat mirror is often part of a ba gua mirror that has 8 trigrams. 3.1. Para 1 and 2 can also be in the middle of a ba gua mirror with the 8 trigrams surrounding. If so, it is a dual purpose mirror. 3.2 For example the ba gua 8 trigrams with a convex mirror is duo-fold = to deflect sha qi and to ward off evil. 4. Frankly, there is no logic ... just because a person bought two or even three ba gua mirrors mean that they have to fully utilize all two mirrors / or three. Whether it is bought in China or Far East, does not matter if it is not necessary to be use. 5. If the drain is on the ground; and one hangs a ba gua mirror above the door; logically, one is above; the other is below. In my opinion; no common sense logic to use the mirror. 6. A solution is usually, to try to "cover" the drainage e.g. placing a pot of plant(s) etc..
  5. A first.. rarely seen .. in most new developments.. selective private lots. The unit number is written to the right of the word "private" = 01-11
  6. View from JGate in the evening ...
  7. What to expect in a full Feng Shui audit service package
  8. Illustration showing the rubbish bin door opened.. Last photo showing bin door closed. May affect future resale value
  9. The Salvation Army building have roof-lines that can become a potential poison arrow(s) The red arrow area shows that there is a roof-line which is higher then that of the yellow area. Avoid getting a Low unit facing the Salvation Army building..
  10. These are some considerations: 1. If in doubt, may have to draw both the Period 7 and Period 8 charts. In some instances, there are similarities 2. Should consider the side of the home with the most windows 3. My book on the use of compass includes the understanding that even in any country be it east europe or elsewhere, one can obtain a street directory: paper or soft copy and a protractor to check on the readings Flying Stars - Using an Ordinary Compass - Book 1 2016-11-002.pdf
  11. The Vales EC @ Sengkang Just T.O.P. last week. All the stacks are either Period 8: N3 or S3 N3. Stacks/Units has the double auspicious #8's wasted at the "back" of the unit. Thus not as favourable. S3. Stacks are the best stacks for a East group person. As both frontage enjoys the double auspicious #8 wealth stars. And furthermore their facing directions has water. Bring great wealth. 1. Attached, please find a sample illustration of a Flying Star Period 8, S2 chart. 2. In the attachment: it is advantages for the [8] & [8] which symbolises : Prosperity, good wealth at the frontage of the home. Vs a N2 facing where this good stars are wasted at the "rear" which is usually the kitchen/yard area. 3. The only concern for a S2 facing chart is that so often, the kitchen may be located at NW sector. Which in Feng Shui is called: "Fire at Heaven's Gate". And this can affect the male breadwinner's career luck. 4. Thus for a South facing (S2) best to select a unit where the kitchen is either at North or North-east sector is preferred.
  12. The Sales brochure micro site plan for Block 12 and 14
  13. Based on the layout = no issue.
  14. Today, I was upstairs in a unit in Tower 29: 1. Fantastic view! 2. Pretty rare for a unit to be North facing but a commanding view of lots of water. And unit is indirectly that of a morning sun. 3. For a 99 year development: very well equipped and one of the first that comes with both a front loading washer and a separate dryer unit; fridge, built in microwave and passageway cabinets.
  15. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, the main concern is that of the main door vs rear door. However, the passageway or whatever one wants to call it need not follow the concern spelt out by you. There are few considerations: 1. Common sense. Given that this is a passageway, most architects would give an allowance of at least 800cm or 1 metre wide. This is because, if it is a terrace house, one may have to move bulky items e.g. a large fridge, bed-frames e.g. queen-sized etc.. 2. It is not about how small this passageway needs to be or how small the door; but rather, the larger the opening.. avoid opening a door or a living room sliding panel/french doors with a visible opening directly towards the yard --- that's all.
  16. Just T.O.P. The Central rubbish bin is at the common corridor, spaced out between two stacks
  17. Historically and in contemporary times, it has been a common practice for individuals to plant thorny trees, such as cacti or bougainvilleas, at the corners of their homes to deter potential thieves. I requested Meta AI to envision a cactus tree situated in the corner of a bungalow. However... this is what I received instead... Nevermind.. LOL
  18. These perspectives are regarded as ultra-conservative views. According to the Holy Trinity of Chinese luck; Heaven or being born with accounts for 33.33% Earth or Feng Shui also represents 33.33% Human or man luck constitutes 33.33% Together, these three elements make up a total of 100% luck. I would like to express that if one finds comfort in having plants, even cacti, they should proceed without concern for others' opinions. As previously mentioned, Human or man luck comprises 33.33% of the overall luck. The primary reason some deem it inauspicious is due to the spikes on a cactus. However, as stated, human factors are more significant.
