  1. 1.1The "WuWang" or 5 Yellow is location based. 2. Thus the 5 Yellow is a concept based upon the Flying Star Feng Shui. And it is not individual based. 3. The reason why it is "individual based" is because there are con men out there who try to "place fear" and or another common excuse is to use in the name of Feng Shui to sell or push their products. 4. This is what many Geomancers and Geomancy shops try to do. They are all Sales people - but witha difference - con men. 5. Just imagine; your grand parents and parents time; where got such rubbish as 5 pyramid pagoda. What? How did the grand parents and parents survive without it? All these are bull-shit and play with people's fear. 6. Most importantly these are modern invention for the conmen to cheat us of our money. On the contrary the rich and millions of household do not have this modern commercial product. How did they survive, I wonder? 7. When the buying stops, the selling can.
  2. 1. Traditionally, the "stove" is always lower than the sink. 2. While the electric toaster oven or other ovens are considered modern invention(s) for the Chinese. 3. What you had mentioned has more to do with commonsense than Feng Shui. 3.1 For example, you mentioned: the electric toaster next to the sink. This has more to do with commonsense. For safety reasons, if weor family members or kidssplash water to the toaster andmay unfortunately be electricuted! 3.2 This is why, it is best to avoidan"open" electrical appliance with high votage next to the sink. Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, Can I place an electric toaster oven next to the sink? The oven is on the floor, not at the same level with the sink. Will it cause a water-fire clash? Thank you so much for your advice.
  3. 1. In my many encounters with various clients: parents with young children and parents with teenagers:- 1.1. In this attachment; see how teenagers and young children view their world especially that of their home. 1.2. For example; young children are very innocent and think differently from us adults and teenagers. In this attachment; there are quite alot of children be it timid or love their parents madly (who does not!): If they were given their say; some would position their bed-heads close to the bedroom door: so that they can be 'as close" to their parents as possible. 1.3. If can no longer sleep with you; they want to phsycially sleep with their heads and eyes as close to your door as possible. How sweet rite? Go hug that lovely child.. when they are still young! 2. For teenagers and us adults; we prefer our bed-head position to be as "private" as possible i.e. away from the bedroom door! 3. Oops! There are some grand mothers or single parent who likes to sleep "child" like... go think about this senario? Are they big babies? hmm... 4. There was once, this family lives in a landed property: three storeys high. The parents wanted the best for their children. So, the parents wanted their only son to occupy the third storey biggest master bedroom. While the parents occupy the 2nd master bedroom on 2nd storey and their daughter in the next room at 2nd storey. 4.1. Here, the son innocently asked his parents: You don't want me any more? That is why you "throw me" out to live on my own on the 3rd storey? 5. Next time, when you plan the bedroom for your child, spare a thought for them: the toddlers / young children do think differently from us adults and teenagers!
  4. These are some considerations:- 1. The Key success factor is First Choice: based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. And critically, for a bedroom, one has to visualise how qi flow and where is the dead qi of a bedroom. 1.1. For example; please see attachment. The areas marked in RED are considered as Dead Qi area. Where assuming that without turning on the air-con to circulate in bedrooms: Master Bedroom, Bedroom 2 and or Bedroom 3; these areas highlighted in RED is not favourable for the bed-head to be placed close to such areas. 1.2. Such areas are ideally locations for wardrope. Unless as mentioned under Para 1.1. if an air-con is turned on all the time; then there is no issue where the bed-head is located. Even a fan blowing can help, here. 2. The concept of "NICE-TO-HAVE" and not a "MUST-HAVE". 2.2. Thus, it is of course good to sleep in a good sector (NICE-TO) and even also good to NICE-TO have sleeping with the head facing a good direction. 3. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui such as try to have the bed-head against a solid wall is a good, first choice etc... 4. For determing sectors; Flying Star is equally important. For example, with 6M, 8W and 2B, under Period 8, 8W has a higher weightage so this is considered a reasonably good sector. On a precaution or pro-active side; luckily there is strong metal 6M; but there is a 2B. #2 is sickness, so just try to avoid using warm lights as when it is turned on anything white will become "yellowish" We don't want to inflame #2. Thus cool day light light is a better choice and try to avoid BRIGHT YELLOW also in this sector - from a pro active approach. 5. If the South location does not SPAN a window area, then it takes a lower weightage. For e.g. a bedroom is between South and SW. And SW is at the opening(s) such as a window; the SW qi takes precedence over the South which may be enclosed in the room - type of senario.
  5. Serene K. wrote: If my Bed is putting exactly same as the plan and my stove is putting as your mark as ''X''. Is it not good? Why? any solution? Yes, I suspected that your stove would have been at that location as 65 percent of such layout plans do place the stove at that position. This is under symbolism in Feng Shui; where it is considered inauspicious to have stove = fire element sharing the same wall as your bed-head. For some, they have a "thick" bed-head with a shelf behind their bed to place the alarm clock etc... this is one solution. The other is to move the bed-frame two inches away from the wall shared directly with the wall of the stove. The main concern is that of "health symbolic or having e.g. headache" - kind of thing. Some other solutions include using induction type of stove but these are modern "creative" thinking as in reality it is still some type of stove. These two are the most common "solutions" to the issue unless; the altar is placed elsewhere. Then your bed can still remain status quo. Please see attachment for illustration of the cabinet cum bed-head area
  6. 1. Frankly, poison arrow is not rocket science. Or a subject that needs so many threads. 2. As I mentioned in my most recent posting:- 2.1. The poison arrow runs from "A" to "AA" in the attachment. 2.2. Another poison arrow runs from "B" to "BB" also in this attachment. 3. You are at the ground, and if you can imagine what I had mentioend under Para 2.1. and or 2.2; you should make your own judgement as to whether it is a poison arrow or ARROWS. 4. We are not we can't tell from your photo. 5. Again, I must emphasie that it is A to AA; B to BB and nothing else. I mentioned this is not rocket science. And not the "death ray kind of thing.".
  7. Yes, if you are talking about just one poison arrrow marking in red "A"; see latest attachment: The poison arrow runs in a straight line from marking in RED "A" to and along line "AA". There is no such thing as I mentioned a single poison arrow reacting like the ICBMs (inter-continental ballastic missles - multiple warheads). In this same attachment. If the poision arrow is "B" ; it runs along line "BB". Anyview from sideways cannot be construed as a poison arrow in this case from a 2Dimensional face of your neighbour's building.
  8. 1. Frankly, in my opinion, if you are discussing about a SINGLE threat e.g. the pointed roof shown as in red marking "A" ONLY. 2. If this is the only SINGLE threat; it can only threaten one location. For exxample, if your master bedroom is in the direct path of this poison arrow, then it is a threat to the bedroom. It should not be a threat to both the living room main door and the bedroom - especially if the main door is away. Unless you have another threat in red marking "B". 3. A single poison arrow is not like those COLD WAR days where the US and Russia has multiple war-heads to a missle. For example, for poison arrow "A"; it cannot simply invent itself and shoot four or five different arrow heads to an intended location. 4. Futhermore, if your home is as I had previously mentioned tit-for-tat situation; then it cancels itself out. 5. Logically, there is such a thing as DAY curtain and NIGHT curtain. Some homes have BOTH curtains in one place. 6. You talk really about doom and gloom just because of neighbour's poison arrow. There are worse off senarios in Feng Shui. Even towards the main door if it is REAL or imagined, there are cures for it. 7. This is a Monday.. and lets not have Monday blues.. for some. 8. I suspect that you may have over exaggerated the problem : if you are saying that ONE poison arrow e.g. A can split it's poison arrow into several points.. Again unless you are talking about TWO poison arrows A and B. 9. If you are mentioning that anywhere in your home you can see the poison arrow A, and assume that all openings are affected by it... hmm..... Please refer to the multiple war-head - senairo. Your neighbours roof is not so advanced like the US or Russia's ICM to create multiple heads...
  9. 1. Poison arrows from a neighbour's home is very common. And there are cures such as landscape is one consideration. Yoke Min L. wrote: The other picture is taken exactly from the centre of th window of the master bedroom. 2. For the master bedroom window, as mentioned under Para 1, landscape or plants or the concept if it cannot be seen it no longer becomes a threat. Thus you can simply install a day curtain in the master bedroom etc.... 3. The last resort is hang a "heavy weighted wind chime / wind chime clinger" so that it does not make any sound. 4. Frankly, it is diffcult to have a perfect home. 5. There are so many concepts behind Feng Shui and with such unknowns; what happens if the "next" house one purchased is worse off than this home?
  10. 1. Please note that tit-for-tat poison arrow such as in this recent forum posting is not a poison arrow:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27080&new= 2. In your picture, markings in RED 'A' & 'B' are considered as poison arrows BUT if they are as mentioned, above: tit-for-tat, then no issue. 3.Markings in YELLOW 'C' and 'D' really looks like poison arrows but they are gentle sloping roofs and not considered as a poison arrow. However, some Geomancers may interpret wrongly or extremely cautious and they will say these are poison arrows.
  11. If you mean that you are looking for good dates, you can use this freenext 30 days report to find good dates based on an individual's ba zi: http://dates.geomancy.net
  12. A goat's worst pairing in the Chinese zodiac signs or Chinese astrology is with a tiger! Is it because the tiger is a preditor while the goat is the prey or vice versa? Can you make an educated guess?
  13. 1. In the early 1970's when crude oil is suppose to last at least another 70 years; my teachers advised me to work for companies like: Shell, BP, Esso or Mobil. 2. In the 1980's to 1990's, the best stress free careers are those in Charities in Singapore! Imagine, huge pay and relatively low stress! 3. Today, some say become a Singapore Minister. As Singapore Ministers are paid a huge sum even more than the President of United States. 4. The last career being a Minister is not easy and few can become Singapore Ministers. 5. If I were to turn back the clock? Hmmm... I would like to be the founder and CEO of Singapore's largest charity: The National Kidney Foundation. But one thing I like to do is: don't try to install a gold tap; don't fly first class, don't sue people or organisations. Lastly; I want to maintain the same high pay and more remuneration. Even Goh Chok Tong's wife said... "I could be worth that amount"...
  14. "Singapore is a country of salaried workers and few & sometimes reluctant entrepreneurs" Local Singaporeans are like this damaged nail: don't want to get burned or stigma of being a bankrupt! The higher one's education; the more reluctant to become an entrepreneur. Get a glimpse of how life looks like for an ex-salared worker in 2030 when he is 65 year old. This chap used to live in a condo; and drive a BMW.
  15. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, your bed layout is in-line with the shape of the interior in relation to the walls, bed-head area; windows and main door. Thus this is generally a good layout plan. 2. At 5th storeys high there is no major concern of sha qi from the physical point of view. At ground floor; the concern has more to do with "wandering vehicles" i.e. vehicles that could "slam" into the buidling e.g. road accident or high speed out of control vehicles. 3. Thus, strictly from the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, a gentle curved window seems "majestic" and makes the entire home bright from both sides i.e. large facing direction. 4. As for a wind chime; if there is no street lamp that slice into or thru the window, no issue from Shapes and Forms view. Since we are not into Flying Star Feng Shui; can't confirm whether a wind chime should be used at that sector or area.
  16. 1. You have to ascertain what is your ba zi element and strength. The free link can confirm whether you are a strong or weak metal person. http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-personal-element.htm 2. In the attached, sample report: Sample Male Ba Zi Summary.pdf ; at the bottom of Page 2 of 11; there is a breakdown of this sample person's Five Elements: 2.1 For example this sample person has: Weak Water = 0 percent; Strong Wood 29 percent; Strong Fire = 47 percent; Extremely weak earth = 11 percent; Weakest metal = 11 percent. Usually, for many Chinese, when they are born, their parents or grand parents may have consulted a geomancer on a name to balance this person's either lack of or weak elements. 2.2. However, some Geomancers, use this information as the basis of figuring out whether a person should go into this or that career. 3. However, this is not the most popular method. As I had mentioned, usually, this areashould have been traditionally consideredwhen namingthe person. 4. Under the traditional Ba zi element; in your case; you may either be a weak or strong metal person; depending on things like House of Lifeas one of the fields of the ba zi. 5. IN GENERAL for a STRONG METAL PERSON:= The career/business ie. a Job/Business favourable for a STRONG METAL personare:- Favourable Water - Advertising, Arts, Communications, etc Fire - Marketing, Sales, Fashion, etc Wood - Engineering, Filming, Hospital, etc Unfavourable Earth - Customer Relations, Constructions, Games, etc Metal - Accountancy, Banking, Investment, etc Here is a reference link to the different five element and careers/business:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net

  18. Yes! "The love of money is the root of all evil" Look at me! My owner : The Feng Shui Emporium chopped off one of my legs. And pushed me to be sold as the famous "The Three-Legged Toad!". The love of money has led my boss to do evil things. This is a better expression than "Money is the root of all evil". When the buying, STOPS!; the selling CAN!
  19. Nowadays, more and more cars are installed with LED lights. Even for the home, the energy saving or around 0.01 watt LED lights are becoming more popular or widely displayed with many varieties to choose from. Nowadays, the number of led diode per light buld has also increased. By the way (BTW), these photos were taken from Home Fix, Singapore.
  20. Further to what I had mentioned, thereare some other considerations:- 1. In theory, certain elements can be used to either enhance or neutralise a sector. 2. For inauspicious sector(s); the "ideal academic" cure is to completely neutralise the bad or bad elements # in a specific sector. 3. While in some instances, we can not only neutralise but enhance that sector or again the key is the balance in a sector. 4. The rationale why, I don't really want to go thru each and every detail of such postings.. for example, you had written down certain assumptions; there is really no end to the number of configurations be it thru the productive or destructive cycle. 5. In real life situation; some cures are better than others : and many Geomancers have to consider this. For example: a "cure" for a bedroom is different from a cure for a balcony or living room or even a toilet in a premise i.e. one can't just hang a wind chime in a bedroom. 6. For almost every sector that is out of balance; there are often at least two different "cures" or ways to neutralisea sector. Often, in the past, received a question of why does this Geomancer use this cure. While another use a different cure. This is thanks to the flexibility originating from the productive and destructive cycle. 7. Another consideration is the flow of qi. Many real world Geomancers: real people, real homes : have to study the qi flow in any of their clients home or bedroom and especially where are the openings in a bedroom; the type of windows e.g. sliding glass or casement type; where is the room door, where are spots where there are dead qi. 8. Thus in my opinion, one can draw or in theory, write up a so called "perfect" prescription to a bedroom ; for example what you had written about #2 ... this...etc... and in this real world.... it may not work! 9. Furthermore, in this day and age; applying and practising Feng Shui can be different from say in the 1960's to 1980's. For example, thanks to the internet; sites like this don't need to ever advertise; word or mouth or from the spew of tons of resources.. 10. Today, we Geomancers are serving more clients than anyone in the 1960's or 1980's can dream off. Best is that we don't just serve people in a small area i.e. own country but literally get to travel to all continents and for those who can't fly us there; use modern links like sms, e-mails and web portals.
  21. These are some considerations:- 1. This has nothing to do with Feng Shui: often many Chinese were told to place a PAIR of mandarin ducks. 2. Since your photo has to do with a PAIR of birds; although this is non-traditional Chinese thing; and the entire photo / picture with the background seems OK - no major symbolic concern; in my opinion, it is fine. Perhaps... you can just read up to this line and ignore anything written below this line -------------------------------------------------------------- Fortunately, these two birds does not look like they are kept in a cage. As some felt that keeping birds in a cage is like "imprisonment" ie. no freedom at all. Anyway, good thing is that this picture of the birds don't look caged
  22. 1. The "proper" placement of air-conditioner unit (fan unit) has to be both practical; functional and purely "Commonsense or Cow-sense" type of thing. 2. These are some considerations for the placement of the air-con unit(fan unit):- 2.1. First determine if you do intend to install a fixed wardrope or not? 2.2. If one intends to install a fixed wardrope; then remember when the piping for the air-con is laid or installed; it should never be later covered up by the wardrope. Else, if there is a leak or clog pipe or for whatever reason; the pipes hidden deep in the recess of the fixed wardrope or cabinet -- such a wardrope has to be dismantled and maybe placed back again. 2.3. In many apartments: condominiums and Housing Board flats; a specific ledge has been allocated for the external compressor unit. Thus, one of the pipes running towards the air-con (fan unit) : should not be running too lengthy. 2.4. Where is the toilet? 2.4.1 For Government Housing Development Board flats; the location of the toilet is important consideration for placing the air-conunit (vents). 2.4.2 It is best that the route to the toilet is as simple and shortest possible. Why? 2.4.3 While the condensor pipe can move up and down as many times as one wants to reach the air con-con (fan coil unit) the DRAINAGE pipe to the toilet can only run ONCE from a high position to the floor of the toilet. 2.4.4. Just imagine, when water drips from the air-con (fan coil unit); it flows much like water from a high point to a low point. You cannot just have several ups and downs - for such a pipe. 3. Many condos have air-con (fan coil units) above especially the bedroom door: this kills two birds with one stone: i.e. an air-con above the bedroom door means often that nothing is below it to cause problem. 3.1. For example; imagine if an air-con (fan coil) is just above a fixed flat screen tv set. And should the air-con (fan coil) unit spill water or condensation; more often; the water may drip into the top air-circulation holes of the tv sent and even other electrical items causing short-circuit. Even if a tv set comes under an extended warranty; it does not cover water spillage. 3.2. With an aircon above say the various bedroom doors; in a condo; the developer simply create a false ceiling along the passageway to hide the trunking of the air-con. And furthermore, this is often the easiest way to distribute the air-con gase pipes and even the drainge all at once from this central area. 3.2. Many condo units are guilty of an air-con (fan coil) vent above their toilet door. This is not "perfect". As often, when coid air sinks; many of the condo toilet doors are wooden swing in type of door, with a gap below the door. When cold air sinks down, it often pushes into the toilet creating "high pressure" and when one opens the toilet door; all the "toilet qi" flows out from the toilet. 4. Commonsense or cowsense dictate that the air-con (fan coil) unit should not be directly above our bed-head. As often around 1 to 3 am; the cold air sinks directly against our face; and too much cold can give us "rosy chick" but also dyrness in our throat etc... 5. Often another commonsense best practise is that the air-con (fan coil) unit does not BLOW directly towards our face or body. Thus some feel that it is best to blow from the side or furthest away from our bed if this is possible. 6. For air-con (fan coils) in the living cum dining room again; the air-con (fan coil) units often "punch: thru from the other side of the wall again; the shortest short cut to the compressor and visually if possible, the ugly pipes can be hidden is the best practise. 7. There are more; but for now, I have written off the cuff like a short essay on this topic. 8. All the above are commonsense!
  23. 1. Yes, I am not going to go thru your workings. 2. As mentioned, previously; now some of us understand that what we learn even in Primary School is relevant or can be applied to real life: The Lowest Common Denominator or commonly known as L.C.M. 3. There are several ways of looking at either the use of The Productive cycle and/or the Destructive cycle. One of them is thru an individual and his bazi. 4. The best way to view whether the productive cycle or destructive cycle is good can be drawn from the Ba zi of an individual. 4.1. For example: If a person is considered as a Strong Metal Person, and based on the Five Elements Concept: 4.1.1. His Career with wealth is wood. As metal destroys wood to create wealth. 4.1.2. While his career with power and authority is also based on the destructive cycle e.g. Fire destroys metal to create wealth. 4.1.3. While his career that does not lead to great wealth or power is the water element. Thus, for an individual; who does notyearnto be very competitive or either very money minded may choose the middle ground or not go into business. Thistypeof career is like in the past; in a communist country where, you report to work in a factory, do your job, get your remuneration, go home - suchas a mundane career. 5. In the above example; one can see that under Para 4.1.1 and 4.1.2; "exciting" or "rewarding" careers (other than perhaps to some is challenge to others they strive on stress) these two careers fall within the "destructive" cycle. 6. Like the saying goes; without FIRE, one cannot melt or refine metals such as : gold; platinium and even rare elements. 7. Academically, I have many thoughts on this and other examples; but this is only pure academic and I am too busy with real life situations to continue, adding more boring academic talk on this subject. 8. As I had mentioned previously, the key success factor is simply : the Mastery of Five Elements Concept (full stop) as it is the basis of or the L.C.M. mother or father of all analytical wisdom!
