Minister of National Development says from "99 to zero"
Cecil Lee replied to Cecil Lee's topic in Singapore Property Review
Don't count on this.. but could be a possibility... = IN GREEN Anything can happen in the near future during General elections... but some how... still got to pay for it... P.S. Fat-hope... no such thing as free. At most pay to TOP-up the lease... and it depends on the generosity of the government... -

New condos: Interior walls = dry walls not solid

Best Buy... Or rather "left-overs" Not Best Buy after all. 999 leaseholds usually are 777 years shelf-life... but better than 99's Erh? Do I still get the 4 percent vicinity discount? Even if I stay in the city? Agent: Can, can, can... in a meek desperate tone.. Just buy, buy and buy, lah! -
Please be advised that the thread referenced below is unrelated to the one mentioned above. The only slight connection is that both involve the term "Sea." Additionally, the article below discusses the Seaview condominium. In my view, it presents an engaging read for prospective home buyers. Honestly, it is quite rare for a property to encounter such misfortune as this one has. The developer ought to have allowed it to continue operating as a hotel (previously the Seaview Hotel along with its associated supermarket). A property that was acquired for approximately $1,600 per square foot; and when a potential seller aimed to sell it at a loss of $1,000 per square foot, the potential buyer's bank declined the offer. https://www.99.co/blog/singapore/how-the-seaview-is-a-gigantic-warning-to-singapores-property-buyers-2/

Upon careful examination of the inverted V shape or the crooked W shape; The architects were likely unaware that by positioning the two blocks in this manner, it resembles a parabolic receptor, which further amplifies the noise from the bustling ECP highway. It is probable that the architect's intention was to provide most units with an excellent view, yet they overlooked the fact that not all residents will remain there; others will occupy the spaces. Alternatively, the architect may have previously designed Bose products or perhaps invented the Bose sound wave radios. Regardless, it is highly likely that the developer will always have justifications such as: "Why worry! We provide you with soundproof windows and balcony glass..." You can be sure we will need to operate the air conditioning throughout the entire year... This brings to mind The Meyerise... P.S. This plot was a secondary consideration; the original reclaimed land was intended for developments similar to HUDC Laguna Park, View, Mandarin Gardens, Marine Terrace, etc. In contrast to The Infinity at Clementi, which is a plot without an afterthought... Thus, this is merely a neglected remnant of land until now... Note: White pollution, or noise, particularly depends on the orientation of the unit and the floor level; the echo characteristics of the concave parabolic design, as well as the protrusions, such as the balcony, that reflect more noise towards, for instance, the third bedroom, etc...

Sometime around 1976, the government standardised the numbering of homes. Around the British times, a ground floor unit for eg. Is numbered say No. 20. A unit above this is numbered 20A, the 3rd storey is numbered 20B. But the folly of this is if it is a high rise exceeding 20Z, what happens? Before 1976 (thereabouts): a flat address could be Block B, unit 508. But after 1976 onwards this flat is known as Blk B, #06-08. The government added an additional storey: the ground floor unit or for HDB flats with a void deck is added to the count. This is why 508 changed: where the 5 = 06 and 08 remains as the stack number. Photos of homes numbered under the colonial days. These homes are at Katong, Chapel Road.
