As NUS High School of Maths and Science are next to one side of The Clementi Canopy fence; from my on-site observations; there are sufficient rows of mature trees to buffer most of the school's buildings. Fortunately, the roof-lines of NUS High are flat thus do not pose any threat to any potential unit(s) at any level (if any) should they be facing the school blocks.

The Clementi Canopy by UOL at Clementi Avenue 1 Next door neighbour to NUS high school. Common sense says that the units along / facing the Ayer Raja Expressway will nosy. And avoid having a unit (if any) facing expressway pedestrian crossing bridge that connects Clementi Ave 1 side to Jubilee Road. More about this development when I have more details of the actual site-plan and layouts

Please see attachment. Assuming the study table will go into the master bedroom? Based on Shapes and Forms and also common sense: The best location for the study table could be: Marking B or if the bed shifted closer to the toilet door area then marking D is another possible location. Marking C is a good choice. But most likely if one is using a queen sized bed and looking at the attached layout plan, not practical or may not fit / or tight fit due to the size of the bedroom. Alternative is marking A. But I doubt if your table can go into this area without protruding towards the toilet door.

1. Do you know whether you are an east or west group. 2. Under this concept; try to see if one can study facing one's favourable directions. 3. Frankly, since above are unknown; go with your feel: a location that is not distracting to you; most of all feel comfortable to sit down. Here, you can always in the future shift table positions (if necessarily)

1. Bamboo trees grow in clusters, unlike normal trees with only one trunk, which is their major drawback. 2. If damaged at ground level, bamboo trees may develop cavities the size of a Singapore 50 cent coin, which can become a breeding ground for mosquitoes if not addressed. 3. Despite common belief, bamboo trees are easy to grow and do not shed many leaves on a daily basis, which is a positive aspect. 4. Please refer to the attached documents: These trees can be a nuisance to their neighbors, as they have already encroached on neighbor "A" property. 4.1. In the future, plot B may need permission from plot A to access and trim these trees.

Chinese Culture: Bats, bats and more bats (Part 2)

Plant watering system: micro drip
Cecil Lee replied to Cecil Lee's topic in Current Affairs & Lifestyle
Below is an analog macro drip module. Used by a condo to water their plants. The macro drip simply means the water pipes are larger. Thus meant to / or capable of watering trees. The digital ones are more costly and some can water an infinite number of times. While most analog ones can only allow two or three watering per 24 hours. If one's garden is the "open air" type; a rain sensor module can even be hooked up to it. Thus should it rain at a specific time; the digital module will know it. And stop delivering water at that time. -
Please see attachment. Outdoors, especially directly below the block, stack, or unit, compass readings can be taken from X to Y and vice versa, and/or from J to K, and/or from H to I, in either direction. Indoors, compass readings should also be taken, such as from the blue-marked points A to B in several locations. It is also recommended to take indoor readings from the green-marked points C to D, or vice versa. Readings taken in the walkway or passageway are optional. For those who prefer a traditional, old-style approach, readings can still be taken from the main door at the green-marked point C looking toward D. For further understanding of what constitutes the frontage or “main door” in modern Feng Shui practice, please refer to the provided resources.

1. You may proceed if you wish. 2. However, my approach depends on the client’s specific block, stack, or unit, as readings must be taken for that exact location. In some cases, it is acceptable to take combined readings for Block 154 with 156. Similarly, Blocks 158 with 160, and Blocks 162 with 164 will each have their own paired readings. 2.1. I have explained the purpose of these readings. While you may choose to estimate readings from a remote location, this method is not acceptable for us as geomancers—especially for this development—where accurate, confirmed readings are essential. 2.2. On-site, close-up readings using a reliable compass are required, and multiple measurements will be taken. Examples include: 2.2.1. Standing inside the main door and looking outwards. 2.2.2. In the living room, looking out through the balcony. 2.2.3. From a bedroom, looking out of its windows. 2.3. Readings will also be taken directly below the specific block (see attached illustration). This involves systematic readings along both the X and Y axes of the block, in addition to readings taken inside the unit. 2.3.1. For example, to determine the compass readings for Block 156, stack 26: - In addition to interior readings, I would stand at the red-marked point “A” and take a reading toward “B,” and vice versa. - Additional readings might include standing at the blue-marked point “C” and taking a reading toward “D” and/or “E,” among others. 2.4. Such readings simply cannot be done remotely from a location away from the actual block. In Compass School practice, readings must ultimately be taken within the unit itself. 3. Please note that in many other developments this level of precision may not be necessary. Even if there is a margin of error of several degrees, it is often still possible to identify the unit’s correct Flying Star direction clearly.

1. In my opinion, a solid brass compass is low-tech but highly accurate. 2. The photo shows the solid brass compass with a high-quality protractor attached beneath it. The protractor allows measurements to be taken in precise one-degree increments. 3. This setup combines a compass with a protractor add-on. 4. I have used this setup for many years, and the protractor now shows a yellowish aging. It was originally clear white. 5. I will be using this especially at The Brownstone EC.

Growing bamboo trees on a balcony Certain trees are not appropriate at one's apartment balcony. For example; bamboo trees need as much height as possible. In this photo, the trees have even exceeded the height of the owners balcony ceiling. It is dangerous to trim the trees now. Even if the upper floor neighbour gave them permission to do so. Cannot also image the amount of falling leaves to neighbors below...

These are some considerations: 1. My main concern is that the units do not fall between N1 and NW3, and likewise, not between S1 and SE3. 2. If an individual block, stack, or unit can be confirmed as belonging to a distinct Flying Star direction, such as N1 or S1, then the standard guidelines apply. 3. To determine whether a unit is in N1 or NW3, it is best to use a reliable compass, such as a solid brass one. 3.1. Alternatively, I checked the website one.map.sg. In the bottom right corner of their map, they reference “data.gov.sg,” which can serve as the default standard to confirm compass directions if the method in paragraph 3 does not give an accurate reading. 4. From your message, it appears you are quite certain that the blocks or stacks are aligned to N1 or S1. 4.1. As mentioned earlier, I need to visit each specific block in person to confirm the readings. A reading from one block cannot be assumed to apply to all others, as builders sometimes align each block slightly differently. 4.2. Such slight deviations cannot be detected by the naked eye. Therefore, even the approach in paragraph 3.1 must be applied carefully and individually, as noted in paragraph 4.1. 5. If a layout falls within N1 or S1, then concepts such as the “Maximizing Marks” method can be applied: http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks

For info, the forum reviews are basic and an overview. Frankly what you mentioned is beyond the advice of the forum. -
1. Can or cannot buy is to determine which stacks are better or ranked in that order. 2. Thus the review will show ranking:- a. 1st Choice = stack #03 b. 2nd Choice = stack #02 c. 3rd Choice = stack #05. 3. After which one may use this to find out which unit-level is better:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/hselist-houseno.htm (Overall, this has lesser weightage than a better stack). Hope that helps. Free report:-

1. Please see attachment. 1.1 Red arrow points to stack #2 1.2 Yellow arrow points to stack #12 2.1 The above are considered as stacks in a block. 3. Compass School Feng Shui = East or West Group person relies only on a. Year of birth and b. Gender. 4. However if it is combined with Ba zi Feng Shui then on occasions one's element can change. 5. Thus time of birth is considered as "Nice-to" have. Frankly if really don't have then leave it.
